I just caught the tail end of a stream where the developer challenged the guys playing to a match.
It looked like old-school homeworld with extra layers of autism including point buy ship design. I remember seeing a thread about it a few months back but I forgot about it as soon as people went to the discord and said it was over run with legit furgay admins and pro troony bullshit

got a link of the stream/vod? abstractly maybe it makes sense that you want to control the center of the map, like in chess. probably it was stupidity and hubris, though. there aren't any rail guns or space debris in chess.
I've been checking in on this game occasionally. is it pozzed?

That said, this is a fricking small time space combat strategy game. There is nothing about gender or politics or fricking anything in it. It's just bare bones ships attacking other ships with high levels of autism.

I've been glancing over at this game for a while but I'm not sold on it yet. I think I am disillusioned by all the gay space strategy games that ended up sucking dick or failing in EA stage. my expectations are permanently set to low.

It is mod friendly already. There will be a second faction in the future.
It's fun but extremely barebones currently. I couldn't give a frick about PVP but the dev said that a campaign will be coming. I still wouldn't trust anything an EA dev promises when it comes to spending your money though.
the dev did go out of his way to fix or improve issues that players were having with the ui/camera controls back when it first released which is always a good sign. Personally I'd let the game bake for another few years before expecting much out of it.

Game's okay on paper, but in practice it's an RTS that's overcomplicated and oversimplified in the places it doesn't need to be. It's utterly lacking most features required of even a game in it's state of development, and the devs themselves are stuck up trannies and furries who get mad at even the tiniest criticism. Tried it, quickly refunded. I expect it to be dead in the water within a year.

They recently signed up with Hooded Horse for publishing, same as Falling Frontier or Terra Invicta. Here is hopping for some nice advertising and influx of players.
