Sadly, Patreon's monthly model urges devs to string people along for the long haul.
The definition of Scam is "a dishonest scheme."
How many updates along is it? How many left to go? Will the devs decide to add more stuff along the way? How long will that take?
Any game that doesn't have an actual roadmap, and consistently make progress on that roadmap, but still demands payment over and over is a scam.
I bought Norco whose development was apparently funded via Patreon. Fricking incredible game incidentally. Now I'll get out of the way of your thinly veiled porn thread.
I was so disappointed. After the first hour I gave up on it. I played for another hour the next day to hopefully find something redeeming. No such luck. The only happy few were the people that took my money.
