No one complains because the rules don’t apply to KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Battle facilities are massively overrated and only comp schizos care about them and emerald is the most overrated game in the franchise
>only comp schizos care about them
moron, comp scizos play ladder or Showdown they certainly don't play the hax facilities
You're bad at the game and you don't know shit
>wtf this game that added like 10 new towns upon the original didn’t also add this thing, literally unplayable
I thought Trainer Hill was an acceptable experiment at having a Battle Tower alternative. Like imagine that, imagine Pokemon games actually trying something new.
Shame it got so gimped by the fact that Shitendo wouldn't fricking sell the damn E-Reader anywhere.
Battle Facilities were still in their infancy and barely established at this point the way they are today, especially with how much harder and more egregious building up a competitive mon was back then, in hindsight it sucks though.
Sorry, I mean't KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Standards for remakes didn't exist yet. HGSS set the bar to be compared to, but you don't judge something that came before to that.
People actually did complain about the lack of Battle Tower you zoomie
?? Black person it's in the same generation of ruby/sapphire and emerald who cares
>no one complains about the game no one ever talks about
stop the fricking presses
>the trainer hill is enough to trick morons into thinking the game has a battle tower
It's something. SV has literally nothing.
If Trainer Hill is a battle facility then so is the Academy Ace Tournament.
Barely anyone gave a shit about facilities until Emerald though. Colosseum had a facility like mode but it was so boring that I though Orre Colosseum was a new addition for GoD instead of being a facility mode only arena from Colosseum.
thats only because coloseums facility was one hundred rounds of NU shitmons against your collection of UU to Ubers
Not even Mt.Battle, just the standard tournament from the main menu.
Expecting a Battle Facility wasn't standardized until Gen 4, which is the point playing Pokemon to a serious metagame level began to truly take off for the west.
As a reminder, the requirements for a gold trainer card in FRLG include:
>Get a record in the Hall of Fame
>Complete the Kanto Pokédex, excluding Mew
>Complete the National Pokédex, excluding Mew, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Celebi, Jirachi, and Deoxys
>Jump 200 times in a row in Pokémon Jump and get 200 Berries in a row in Dodrio Berry Picking
Good luck with that last one, it's a 3-players minimum minigame. You can't do it solo.
Because it did what we all want from a remake. It gave us the original game with updated graphics and mechanics from the latest gen while adding a little more content to make it worth playing over the original. Sevii islands, trainer hill, Johto legendaries, a way to encounter gen 1 pokemon in gen 3 since gen 2 and gen 3 couldnt transfer, and most importantly this thing came FREE with each FR/LG copy.
I agree. ORAS is great.
But ORAS didnt give us the original game of R/B.
R/S/E, my bad.
Yes it did.
No, it didn't. HG/SS brought in mechanics from Crystal. It was a fair estimate to expect emerald content in ORAS based on the trned HG/SS set. ORAS did not deliver the R/S/E experience to the fullest while adding more, like FR/LG did.
> No, it didn't. HG/SS brought in mechanics from Crystal
FRLG didn’t bring in mechanics from Yellow. Guess that means it’s bad then.
Yellow is an anime spin off. Of course it cant copy from yellow since the way you pick your starter is completely different.
>d-d-doesn’t count
zzz
No shit you fricking moron. How are you going to put Charizard and venusaur on the cover of the remakes and then make Pikachu the starter?
By giving Pikachu as a gift then having it follow you. They can also put Team Rocket trio in the game. It’s not that hard anon.
Nta but what if they remade Yellow instead of Green, and just put the Green exclusives in Yellow?
For some reason I never got this when I bought FRLG, I may have picked up a used copy. So I bought four of the frickers online. They've been moderately useful so far, but the Cable Club is far easier to trade in than the Wireless Center.
Guaranteed to come in a new box. If you didnt get it, it was a used copy.
As far as I know the Player's Choice release didn't include the adapter.
>and most importantly this thing came FREE with each FR/LG copy.
Lmao that was the entire reason fr/lg was even conceptualized. It was an entire cash grab to make up for the development cost for your precious adapter (btw which NOBODY fricking used as a kid, I still don't even know what the fricking berry game even looks like.Blame ruby/sapphire for killing pokemania hype)
wasn't even a unique feature/gimmick, it just was a re-hash from the (superior) cell phone attachment they attempted with crystal.
HGSS > BDSP > ORAS > FRLG
Theres no way FR/LG are worse than BDSP. I think even ORAS was better than BDSP
HGSS>FRLG>>>>>shit>ORAS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>a lot of shit>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>BDSP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Let's go pee and poo
One thing about the era of game achievements being public on the internet is that barely anyone actually beats games to see the endgame content, or engage with most of the content at all for that matter. I think it's why they've been stripping features from Pokemon (and games in general) without realizing that people do feel that there is a quality drop that's felt in all aspects of the game, and will be drawn to the first promising alternative they see as a result.
I think the removal of battle facilities aren't an inherent sign of declining quality, but I do think they signaled the lack of care in the product that's leaked into everything else about the games. The story and character carried hard in SV.
People who complain about "muh postgame" are just poorgays who can only afford one game a year and are too moronic to pirate. A bloo bloo, you *only* got a 40-hour campaign for your $60 purchase? I have 3000+ games in my backlog right now. I wouldn't touch a game's post-game even if it HAD it. Just move the frick on and play something new instead of clinging to the old.
Actually no battle tower or contests sucked balls when this came out.
I traded all my mons over then had to trade them back
