It also kills shit fast enough to not end up eating up all your money. As long as you remember to sometimes stop shooting.

I don't understand threads like these.
    How are they "fun"?
"Something in a game does not behave like in real world, oh my god, why is this?!"

Everyone knows the fricking answer. It's not worth discussing. There is nothing interesting going to happen or be said in this thread. Why waste your time with this shit? Why not talk about something that is actually INTERESTING TO FRICKING TALK ABOUT instead?
Is it just the act of interaction - no matter how fricking meaningless, boring and vapid, that you people need? Can you just not figure something more interesting to say?

What is the point? If you just crave illusion of companionship, that is what fricking social media are for. Make a fricking twitter instead and don't fricking drag this place down with your innane bullshittery.

      >highly inaccurate
      >massive spin up time, real world dps butchered by the latency. Half or less what starUI shows it as
      >dps drops off exceptionally quickly, worse than any high dam-medium magazine sized weapon on numbers
      >shielded enemy system makes low damage high dps even more terrible than past games
      >spin up make deleting weak enemies with it a chore versus your myriad of 1shot 1kill guns
      >mod to remove the spinup
      >gun becomes borderline viable for the first time as trashmob deleter
      >still categorically worse than anything else, but at least uses shitty ammo doing it

DPS balancing is some of the dumbest shit in games. Make ammo conservation a real gameplay concern, simulate recoil realistically, or just let players have fun. Automatic fire doesn't "break the balance" if bullets already kill with a doubletap across the board. If your "hard" enemies just have stacks of health without better weapons or mechanics, you failed at balance already.

I wonder how it would perform with the armor penetration skill. if I'm understanding it correctly, if you get the X-989 Microgun at level 37, it adds an Lacerate effect, and then a Skip-Shot effect at level 44.

~900dps is shit, simple as. Burst damage of a beowolf dmr beats it at 700fps firing bullets that do 5x the damage a shot. The magsheer just patently shits all over it as an automatic weapon. Bethesda has never made a useful minigun in 4 games.

I hoped that skip-shot would help with its double damage combined with that fire rate, but I guess with the low base damage, it wouldn't be that noticeable. what a shame.

lacerate, furious, or the explosive/poison rng chance would be the only legendary effects worth a damn on a minigun. The quest gun gives you one useful one and yet the gun is still useless. +30% damage to terrormorphs and still takes 600 rounds to kill one.

fair enough. I'd like to see one with one-inch punch.

I'm reasonably certain you can buy a microgun at level 1 from UC logistics on NA

2 second spinup per enemy to do the Damage of a maelstrom shitter rifle using the midgame 7.77mm ammo you don't have 10,000 of yet.

Despite being able to sequence break, they still aren't carried by enemies or drop in the level list until past like lv30. Ironically for being such fricking shit in the hands of the player, they're the only semi challenging thing in the game to fight the rare times the AI doesn't bug out on the spinup to never shoot them. If the spacer holds down the brrrrt button and you aren't paying attention it can actually body your maxstatman character in about 7 seconds. But like everything else enemies carry it just can't out DPS healing items.

Funny how they nerfed those types of affixes in Starfield but then made it pointless since some of the better guns you want to use anyway can be modded to just always fire explosive ammo.

        >do the Alien Starship troopers ripoff quest
        >get the quest guaranteed gun

        >magsheer
And that isn't even the minigun analogue for that line of weapons, the magstorm is and is also great.

        Play Turok.

2's firestorm cannon is better imo, 1's is ok but does the low damage per bullet thing and you can't headshot iirc.

Favorite gun in EYE. There's much ado about the "starting weapon smg" uzi, but fact is that you could just grab the minigun and load yourself up in tank armor and enough ammo to kill everything in the game and then roll out right from the start, too.

  21. 8 months ago
    Anonymous

That's nothing. Consider pic related, most games make them completely useless past 10 meters because of the spread. In reality, 00 buckshot basically makes a big hole at this distance, and the spread is about as wide as a torso at 50 meters.

yes even without the f-16 radar guided pipper you can use the funnel to guide shots even if your target is pulling Gs, by that logic early cold war birds and older should not be able to hit anything with their cannons.
put it this way, there is a reason for why the hornet has a funnel when not locked onto anything.
