they enlightened me with the existence of expeditions rome where you can apparently talk to cicero and frick cleopatra and I’m downloading it like right fricking now
Not really I already know what the good games are and which ones are mediocre or shitty I mostly just come to lurk and watch the nerds piss vinegar at each other over their pet fandoms
Kingmaker and Wrath. They're pretty shit but I liked 'em so I guess it wasn't time wasted.
They also convinced me to try Fairy Fencer F and Kingdom Come Deliverance. Also pretty shit. Still liked 'em.
So far /vrpg/ is 4 for 4 in my book.
You guys got me to play the two Pathfinder games and a few RPGMaker games, they were alright in my book, found the rpgmaker shovelware unironicaly more entertaining than the former tho
its called 'being honest'
only insecure gays are afraid of admit they are enjoying games of merely average or sub-par quality, being fun and entertaining its the top priority of any game
I fell for the rean-meme. That shit sucked balls.
What did you expect from a fricking Falcom game?
meh, its a pretty alright rpg but simply overrated as frick, I can't wrap my head around whats so special about it
Has VRPG ever managed to convince you to play an RPG? Did it turn out to be good or shit?
Haven't finished any of these. Right now playing Final Fantasy VI Worlds Collide (A/_), which was I didn't discover here but a discussion about FF6 mods/hacks made me go find it myself. >Playing, but not finished
Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark - preliminary B+/C (gameplay/writing), will probably finish this.
Pillars of Eternity - preliminary B+/B. Might not finish this (more because this kind of game can be a frick to get back into once you are away for a few months) >Not played yet, but on radar via this board (listed roughly in order of interest and likelihood to actually play)
Freedom Force
Crystal Project
Dungeon Rats
Mount and Blade
Avernum (Spiderweb Software)
Arc the Lad
Ara Fell
Nevergrind Online (this would be higher except I'm not interested in online multiplayer)

I will play Etrian Odyssey next and someday Koudelka
I don't just take any recc that I see here but the ones I have taken are pretty decent. recent acquisition is Treasure of the Rudras
previous acquisition is Labyrinth of Refrain
Pillars of Eternity, Geneforge Mutagen and Legend of Grimrock. Pillars of Eternity was okay. Really enjoyed Grimrock but I took a short break and that game is an absolute b***h to get back into. Geneforge was pretty damn fun as well, but I don't think I got around to finishing it
This place made me wanted to play crpg, again so I download pillar of eternity that I had for free. It was OK but I skipped every story related dialogue because it was overwhelming. Then I played vtmb and arcanum and loved them
I pretty much played them all. What this place does is mostly warn me of the shit I should not touch like those 2 coomer RPG Maker trash full of trannies in its respective threads.
I learned about the 7th Dragon series here, and started playing the DS game with a translation. Normally I find dungeon crawlers really boring, but the animations are cool. I did eventually get a little bored after the game begins to just revolve around dragon-hunting (so not that far into it) because the story goes out to lunch and it becomes a grindfest. But it did seem like a great game if you like Etrian Odyssey or other similar DRPGs.
I also only heard about Potato Flowers in Full Bloom here. Excellent game.
>PoE 1&2
Wokeshit for simpletons, awful, fooled me twice, shame on me
>P:KM
Build having heaven w/mods Itelluwat, Harrim best insane and sad bro.
>Reanspam
Seduced me into grabbing the first set of breasts which are very comfy, very time consuming, very slow enjoyment since busy with a RL these days.
In the queue: >Jack Killing Chaos Fantasy
Enhanced my already legendary distaste for Epic, another woke shell company that will annoy us for a few more years before it implodes or is bought by a larger woke company as another used condom brand label to frick us with.
I'm not a soulslike type of player but I am sure to like SoP from everything I've seen. I just won't support Epic so still waiting, but /vrpg/ did sell me on SoP I'm saying.
I almost pulled the trigger on Nioh or maybe 2 from /vrpg/ recommendations again but I'm just very conservative with my money and more importantly my time now, It's probably a great game from what I've seen but if it's not 95% to my tastes these days I don't bother wasting either resource on them. Still tons of replay value in my backlog and stuff I haven't even touched. Just prefer FF setting, esp. the job builds, with high magic over the overly asian Nioh setting with low magic in that case. I got enough of that kind of no-magic + asian stuff in MHW not too long ago.
SoP is easier to get into if you've played Nioh before, or so they say. You can also pirate Nioh if you need to keep the money badly. You have your options, do not forget that
I tried daggerfall and it was shit.
I tried fallout 1 and it was shit.
I tried morrowind and it was shit.
I tried neverwinter nights and it was shit.
I tried planescape torment and it was shit.
Everything Ganker reccomends is always trash.
You need to learn how to filter recommendations based on what people are actually saying and not just taking the one line suggestions of tards at face value.
A game isnt shit just because you got filtered, zoomer.
All of those games are amazing timeless classics and its not their problem that you dont have enought iq to play them properly.
I learned about the Tales of Destony DC fan translation here, and I had a fun time with that. Great battle system though the third quarter of the game is a bit of a slog
I also bought Trials of Mana after seeing the thread here, and while the game’s pretty much junk food in video game form, it’s enjoyable junkfood, and offers a lot for replayability.
So 2 for 2 in my case. Neither of them are SSS masterpieces or anything, but I had fun with what I got
Someone on here mentioned that Geneforge is the most interesting setting they've seen in a game, so I checked it out and now it's one of my favorite games. I'd say it's my second favorite setting behind Disco Elysium.

Play the Epic Battle Fantasy series, o arrogant anon.
I fell for the rean-meme. That shit sucked balls.
What did you expect from a fricking Falcom game?
Nta but ys 1,2,3,6 and origin were really good and I was hoping for similar quality.
Got me to seriously play Kingmaker. It was OK.
Kingmaker and Wrath. They're pretty shit but I liked 'em so I guess it wasn't time wasted.

It's an RPG series no one but autistic weebs has ever heard of, made specifically for autistic weebs.
I don't just take any recc that I see here but the ones I have taken are pretty decent. recent acquisition is Treasure of the Rudras

good games
Underrail if I ever get around to it
I can be sure, but it may have veen the reason I first tried Kingmaker and WotR afterwards. They were ok.
It also made me try Ruina. That game is amazing.

Yes, Etrian Odyssey. Good.
I pretty much played them all. What this place does is mostly warn me of the shit I should not touch like those 2 coomer RPG Maker trash full of trannies in its respective threads.
Actually, both here and Ganker convinced me to try out DQ11. And I wound up enjoying it a lot, so thanks.
Oh, and Potato Flowers in Full Bloom.
I learned about the 7th Dragon series here, and started playing the DS game with a translation. Normally I find dungeon crawlers really boring, but the animations are cool. I never heard of Saga before this board was made and I think there's a reason for it.
>Has VRPG ever managed to convince you to play an RPG?
Yes, it has convinced me to play PoE2 Deadfire
>Did it turn out to be good or shit?
It's fricking Deadfire.
Cold Steel. 1 and 2 were okay but 3 was so bad I dropped it. Sky/Crossbell are great though.
I played underrail because of the threads on this board
was alright

So did you dislike or like Stranger in Paradise? And have you or have you not played Nioh before?
