Has your opinion on a character ever done a complete 180 over time?
I hated Amy and thought she was annoying until Boom-onwards changed her personality and Origins+ actually made her fun in 2D (didn't like her much in the Advance games).

honestly ian's done a pretty decent job at making her likable without resorting to sonic boom girlboss personality or ditzy adventure-era moronicness. hopefully they lean more into her seeing sonic as a role model and not "LOL BOY CRAZY FUNNY" since i think that's the natural progression from cd we never got
I do hope they make her a bit more ditzy like she used to be, not adventure levels, just still kind of a lackadaisical, but I like where’s she at now. As for her actual gameplay, I wish it was more consistent

Old Amy might have been annoying sometimes but nu-Amy doesn't even have a personality. Seriously, go watch the cutscenes for Sonic Dream Team. Everyone there is pretty good and has clear character traits and then there's Amy who just reacts to the plot in the most basic generic manner, doesn't say anything unique, and has just become a token female heroine. Old Amy was far from perfect but I'll take her 1000 times over the boring non-character we have right now.

I liked her cartoon yandere personality. It was cute and made her unique. Now she's just "the team girl" and it's boring. Also Cindy Robinson is not the right voice actor for her at all. She sounds too old. Lisa Ortiz was the best one IMO.

Yes, in Sonic X and in the main games from 2005-2009. She sounded like a lovesick teenage girl instead of Cindy Robinson's middle-aged woman voice. Sonic suffers from the same problem, Roger Smith's voice is way too fricking deep.
RCS is still not as good as Drummond and Griffith but I think he's FINALLY started to improve somewhat with Frontiers onwards.
