XY and ORAS were fine Sun and Moon was just the same thing but with a shitty collage of new mons that weren't good competitively and just slow except the Tapu's they were meh, Sword and Shield was complete dogshit, and didn't even have a proper dex and DP Remakes are terrible in every form, no moveset changes or anything like that, multiple missed story prospects and no national dex Scarlet and Violet just needs to bring Megas back and make many crucial moveset changes to improve Pokémon competitively and benefit most mons who lack a good moveset like Regieleki,Spectrier,Gyarados etc
Pokemon peaked in emerald.
There was just so much stuff to do,
and EV training required actual effort.

I pretty much gave up on Pokemon as a whole after SwSh. Sprigatito was the only new Pokemon that I am somewhat invested in, but if it turns into another waifu abomination, I won't be touching Scarlet/Violet anytime soon.
