A nightmare that I've remembered for 2 decades now was Mario stuck in a hallway similar to the one in Snowman's Land but bigger, no mirror and then a Metal Mario spawned and started chasing Mario around the room while huge, catching up and hurting Mario repeatedly (accurately to the game as in Mario being knocked down multiple times, losing HP, having invulnerability briefly) and then dying. I think the room got that red tint the endless stairs has also after huge Metal Mario appeared. The dream really stuck with me, I used to have a lot of cartridge tilting-esque nightmares as well.
I had SM64 dreams. They were very grand and very enjoyable.
Years ago I began a project to recreate the levels and try playing them in SM64 itself. I made good progress on a few stages, but my computer crashed and wiped out all my work. I learned the value of back-ups that day.

When I was a teen I had three separate hard drives die on me wiping thousands of hours of game dev projects. All that survives are YouTube videos.
From what I've seen before, it's a lot. 450 stars, all unique and entire new worlds and wings to the castle as well as redone old places with expanded content and polishing.
Unabandoned has 471 stars alongside all of that though, it's probably different in it's own ways but I wish I knew more specifically what was actually changed and if it's just objectively an upgrade from unabandoned or simply an alternative option.
I literally had a SM64 fever dream last night. It was about me exploring super secret levels, the most vivid one that I can remember though was a water level with a bunch of eels (kind of like Eel Graveyard from B3313 but different looking)
I've had dreams like B3313, some with Mario 64, some with Ocarina of Time, but by the far the most I've had were related to Majora's Mask, I played that game before I even knew how to read and got both scared and intrigued by it, so it's like permanently etched upon my soul.
I dream of new NPCs, early versions of clocktown, sidequests with alternate endings, and so on.
For some reason, most of them take place in the stock pot inn and termina field. I had one recently where there was area between the entrance to snowhead and Ikana canyon that was kind of a mossy stone era with vines leading up to a cave.
I used to have nightmares about the Scarecrows from Ocarina of Time. One of which included Bonooru summoning an unkillable boss that deletes your save data.
I don't think I've had ones ever repeating 1 to 1, but most of my dreams take place in a 'dream world' that is continually being explored in my dreams. Twice a month on average I'll have a dream where I'll either revisit or explore a new place in a dream, continuing where I left off in a previous dream.
Sometimes I'll explore a new area that expands upon the dream world. Sometimes I'll revisit a new area and it'll be the same or changed slightly. I'll also have stories and people continue on in my dreams, even if they don't make sense. I've had two creepy ones where someone in the dream will tell me that we haven't met me before but we'll see each other in the future.
I wonder if others experience something similar.
i dream about minecraft a lot. i dont even play it very often, maybe once a year if that. im really getting kind of sick of it. my dreams will just randomly turn into minecraft for no reason.
I am thoroughly convinced that I was able to name the entire party in Final Fantasy VIII for my first playthrough on the playstation, down to recalling sitting there pondering what to name characters, including the wannabee cowboy, but there is no evidence of this being possible

I've had quite a few dreams by now of where I get blurry images of new Mario Kart courses. The one I remember the most took place on a coastal town. It was near the ocean but it wasn't quite visible, it had a lot of green hills like Mushroom City but it had smaller bridges, and there were these dark tunnels that had a vague watery theme to them. Or maybe they were supposed to be car washes. I also keep seeing the Double Dash roster in them.
When I was younger there was a Mario 64 dream I had a couple times where waiting in the area in front of Peach's castle for too long would cause Bowser to show up and he'd very slowly chase Mario, even if the game was paused.
I saw the vagrant in dark souls once long into the night when I was tired so I thought I dreamed it because I never saw it since. Then I saw a video about them by chance years later and my mind was blown.

Yeah, when Super Mario Sunshine was first announced, I had a dream about it. I knew nothing about it, so my brain just made stuff up. The sun was very hot and you had to quickly find shade or you would get damaged. Mario would also sweat and the reflections on his skin were very realistic.
When my parents bought me Metroid Prime 2 early so I could play it all of winter break. I played it like 16 hours straight one day and my dad forced me to sleep and I dreamed I was still trying to morph ball bomb up some waterfall or something. Woke up the next day and was super confused I couldn't find the area. I love my parents. My dad got me DK64 the day it released and woke me up at like 5am when he was going to work so I could play it before going to school.
I had a dream there was a 4th hidden Bowser fight in SM64 that took place with a desert background. Bowser could shake the arena like he could in the 2nd fight.
Ive dreamt multiple times that I was playing deltarune chapter 3 and was hoping it wasn't a dream, and then waking up and being severely disappointed that it's taken almost 3 years for it to come out
i have dreams about new and remixed Rayman 2 levels every few months ever since it released 25 years ago. it was the first important game i've ever played so i guess it lodged deep into my subconscious

In Duke64 I dreamed of 3d modeled monsters in the mp map dukenstein. Could've sworn they were real for the longest time.
