Something as simple as the brotherhood ship waltzing in is such a mood setter.
>install fallout 4 >install f4se >install silent protagonist f4se mod >install sim settlements 2
yep.. it’s fallout 4 time. i had spent 60+ hours doing frick-all and dropped it for months. just last week i picked it up again and now i am enjoying it as a looter shooter.
Fallout 4 has a lantern built into the pup boy. You just need to hold the pup boy menu key to activate it. It’s green but you can mod it to change the color
I always do a playthrough of each bethesda game without any/many mods first (the only mods I used on my first fo4 play wer dialogue text restoration and editing the compass poi indicator range to be much smaller so I could explore and find things organically), and fallout 4 was mediocre in the story department but the actual gameplay itself was extremely fun for me. like most bethesda games it became GOTY once you started modding, and Far Harbor is almost universally loved.
7 Days To Die, it's janky looking but it has its charm, got it on sale for cheap a few months ago and saw that everyone on my list already has it and played <1 hour years ago and all hate it.
It's 5 now 4 boomer friends doing horrible at videogames and getting angry at each other, each to their own. I like Simon because I know a guy who is equally as bad at videogames as him.
It's a fun game but they seem to be suffer from crippling moronation on certain aspects of these updates. The POI updates are really good, too bad the optimal way to play is to visit the traders and have him direct you everywhere now.
This games biggest failure was the voiced protag. It limited the story and doubled the amount of voiced dialog in the game with most of that dialog being worthless and having just as much impact as text would. They also fumbled the frick out of the institute and their inclusion made the game worse. They also did the gay skyrim dragons thing where you had to play through enough of the story to get the Brotherhood to show up and populate the world. Dragons should have been turned on from the moment you leave helgen. You could legit play 90% of skyrim and never fight a dragon and that's fricking moronic.
best way to play the game mate, imagine not having npc's just fricking die to a dragon attack. imagine being able to go from town to town and dungeon to dungeon and not having to fight some fat frick who wont land, and randomly triggers instant kil-- Cinematic death experiences, unless you take the bloat pill vigor maxing bullshit.
I heard recently that dragons use stamina to fly and you can ground them with ice spells? Could be bullshit tho. It does suck that you need a mod to remove the killcam junk being done on your character.
Voiced protag works, the camera showing the expression on your face as you responded was cool, it just doesn't work (sorry Todd) in a Bethesda style game. In Bethesda games you're a blank slate, able to do anything and act however you want to, but In Fallout 4 they tried to give you an actual character with a full backstop and motivation, (Veteran or Lawyer looking for their son) while still allowing you the Bethesda style MC and it didn't work; you can be en established character or a blank slate but not both.
Playing it right now, mainly because I'm gonna replay all three games after having watched that Netflix miniseries.
It's okay. Combat was an attempt to keep the DAO/KotOR system "alive" while reinventing it. Level design is boring and rehashes the same ten maps with different doors, and I could do without trash mobs every ten feet.
The followers are hit or miss with their writing. Fenris and Anders are whiny as hell, Isabela is a cringe-tier sex addict, Sebastian and Aveline are flavorless white knights, but Varric and Merril are both cool.
Can't wait to finish this playthrough though (just got to Act 3). Gonna hop into DAI soon.
For me it just comes down to power armor. I love it. Stomping around in power armor and laying waste to everything with a giant minigun is just inherently fun. I even bought one of those 1/6th scale power armor figures to keep on my desk.
Despite how good power armor is in F4 I usually just ran around on foot. I did use PA for the glowing sea and to explore with the jetpack. I imagine there's more cool stuff to find in the city with it.
>I too have the top 3 1/6 figures (Mark 45, 51, Advanced)
Extremely based, anon. I just have the Quantum X-01, and I ordered the Blackbird T-51 plates from Sideshow last night because they were 40% off. I would like to get another set of power armor, maybe the salvaged power armor since it comes with a minigun. I also have a 1/6th scale shotgun ordered that I am hoping the figures will be able to hold.

I wish I could afford these, they look so fricking dope but I can't justify spending 500$ bucks on a figurine.
>I wish I could afford these, they look so fricking dope but I can't justify spending 500$ bucks on a figurine.
I wish that they only cost $500 bucks at this point. Typically the only one you see at that price is the Camouflage T-60.
Settlements autism is great but you need to use single asset prefabs if you want to make a lot of buildings otherwise the engine shits itself especially if you build detailed settlements near one another.
it's not the engine, it's how bethesda pre-programmed the Ugrid system load order distance. You can adjust this shit in a notepad but you'd need somewhat decent specs to run it. They plan on removing parts and rewriting it with the 2023 update.
This dude was sniping raiders across the map.
AoE 3 is great and most hatred of it seemed to be "it wasn't as good as AoE 2" which has died down a lot since the release of AoE 4 and the AoE 3 remaster.
People will tell you that SR2 is way better, but I think SR3 is superior, and it's the best one in the series by a mile.
I'd politely but firmly disagree, SR2 is the more engaging game in terms of your gang and how your character is a piece of shit wjo;e SR4 does the whacky stuff better. The zombie island was surprisingly cool to stumble into but generally SR3 is a whole lot of wasted potential, even if it wasn't that bad. I don't get the SR3 haters but for me SR2 is the best and SR4 is runner-up
https://i.imgur.com/bJfthW0.jpg
Have you ever enjoyed a game that is universally hated?
Probably the most controversial opinion I've had semi-recently is Fallout 76. I played it before the Wastelanders update and honestly there was something incredibly compelling about a post-apocalypse game in which you are explicitly the only human left. People talked a lot about other players but outside of an instanced PvE event I never saw anyone despite playing it for around 30 hours. The wasteland felt genuinely dead and the always online nature of the game meant that you couldn't pause or cheat. Plus I found that the game was incredibly stingy with supplies, to the point that surviving the wasteland actually felt like a challenge at various points. It nailed the feeling of isolation and desolation to the point that it was one of the most unique games I've played in a while. Even S.T.A.L.K.E.R and the other fallout games are riddled with NPCs and the like, whereas 76 was about you wandering a dead world and trying to piece together why the post-post apocalypse had died on it's ass. The writing might have been underwhelming in many areas, but the feeling of the game was handled really well.

SR2 takes itself too seriously and SR4 is just too whacky. SR3 is the healthy middle. You get the fun whacky stuff but then the characters will occasionally take something seriously, making it a more compelling game.
its crazy how hated fallout 76 is
i bought it for 10 bucks and 2 months of fo1 and have around 1.2k hours clocked into it before becoming so overpowered that i lost any interest in it. Its not an amazing game but i think it scratches all the right places
for me its the opposite
I like my games being fun out of the box with no additional input needed. I burned out from modding skyrim too much back in the day so i only can stomach light modding these days.
you can mod fo76 btw but ofc not very extensively
I might agree with you but there are lots of tools to make it easier coming out.
Wabbajack makes modding almost as easy as Minecraft modpacks. I couldn't put anything as complicated as some of those packs together but I can install them and follow some minor configuration instructions in about an hour. It's amazing to get a fully configured set of 100+ mods working together, and it so far surpasses the base Fallout 4 in enjoyment I'm worried I might hate Starfield because it doesn't have a lot of qol stuff that I have running. I've legitimately forgotten how bad the base game's inventory management is until I saw videos of vanilla.

i was playing with the idea of getting fallout 4 on the last sale but decided against it. As far as i know its a one and done thing, once you build your settlements and did the story theres frick all to do to my knowledge which is why i didnt pull the trigger while fo76 lets you grind till lvl 6000 i think. This i by no way a fick measurement contest i just dont see much point into investing my time into something id be don in around 50 hours and a few hours of modding. this has been my biggest problem in games lately where i just dont see a point of focusing on a game if it isnt going to give me thousand of hours of content worth doing which is why i mainly play mmos and roguelikes these days
thanks for reading my blog
>AoE 3 is great and most hatred of it seemed to be "it wasn't as good as AoE 2" which has died down a lot since the release of AoE 4 and the AoE 3 remaster.
I played it on release and the AI couldnt use transports to get to islands, I immediately uninstalled. That shit wasn't acceptable when warcraft 2 did it, and it definitely isnt now
I don't know, I don't pay much attention to strangers' opinions online and I don't use socials. To answer your question, it definitely happened with games that were not intended for a large audience but gained mainstream popularity for some reason
I love Fallout 4, I find the fact that people hate it very amusing
Reminded me of the people that I suggested Demon's Souls to back before it even came out in the US and didn't seem like it would. They said it was awful for a hundred different reasons after trying it.
I like using the Bio rifle mod along with Gundam mobile suits so I can put people in Japanese power armor.
>get the urge to play fallout 4 >redownload the game >always start a new game even though my last save has like 100+ hours on it >fall into settlement hell for 20 hours >make sanctuary my perfect little town >make the minutemen gods of the commonwealth >get a bunch of legendary shit and get a really op character >eventually get bored >uninstall game >6 months later the cycle repeat
Similar story here. I love that initial building up from nothing phase in Fallout 4. Once you're established though and you have your perfect little everything and your build has come full circle, I always end up dropping the game again.
>make sanctuary my perfect little town
I always tell myself I'm going to build up another settlement as a main base but it ends up being Sanctuary again and again
>work 20 hours on a settlement >suddenly realize "this is fricking pointless" >make new character
I actually like no settlement runs more. You just dump all your crap in wild workbenches (their inventory saves) and continue playing the game.
It required a lot of mods to be playable.
How the frick did they manage to downgrade pip boy? It's barely usable.
In game interface shows too little information. Mod that shows item's components is game changer.
what is this moronic revisionism when it comes to bethesda games?
you have people claiming that oblivion wasn't considered good looking when it was released or that fallout 4 is unpopular as if it isn't literally the second most modded game in the world
how long until we start getting claims that skyrim was unpopular? when TES6 releases?
That game isnt bad, its just not that great, not good as i expected it to be.
Story is shit, keeps you away from running around exploring and the fricking minutemen get on my nerves a lot
Cant tell them to frick off
Got caught in their web on first playtrough and decided to start a new game never saying ill lead them
Ofcourse i joined the brotherhood and shot shaun as soon as i saw him
We made arguments for years but NV fans are such unbelievable morons that people got sick of them and just started calling them fricking trannies. Easily the worst fan base in all of gaming.
Considering that you’ve resorted to pushing the troony agenda they obviously weren’t good enough. Also last time I checked NV fans are making shitty vs. and bait threads with reddit memes. Maybe instead of being butthurt 24/7 you can let go of you victim complex and man the frick up.
dark souls 2 was very fun coop
i coulnt play ds1 at the time it was released in coop bc of shit internet so i only pvpd which somehow worked reliably
all those year of pent up no coop let me go wild for a few years in ds2, even found a cool dude to coop with but i fricked up because of my then meth addiction and lost what is probably the best gaming partner i ever had. I made so many terrible mistakes in my life, i hope god and i can forgive myself
Sim Settlements finally pushed out chapter 3 so I'm waiting for the Life in the Ruins dev to include it before I start another playthrough.
Thinking of doing a high Per and End survivalist character this time. LitR has some mods that improve the clothing options so they actually function as armor so maybe me and Nick will be private eye partners or something.
oblivion is my favorite game of all time because it is so weird and comfy with bright colors. even 16 years later it still produces funny memes. I get lots of hate for that from skydrones.
>Companions getting mad and yelling at you when you murder innocents >The entire combat zone getting cut into a regular dungeon >Fist fights in the combat zone you can participate in or bet on >Nutty supermutants who think they're sailors or train conductors >BoS and Gunner paints for ALL power armour sets >Deacon having unique lines if you talk to him before meeting the railroad >Strong and Hanwiener having significant interactions in Diamond city >Random event where you hallucinate being attacked by multiple ghosts of Kellogg after you complete Reunions >Deacon losing it and turning hostile if you talk to him after betraying the railroad >The planned underwater vault quest that got cut in the planning stage
I like Fallout 4 and play it a lot, but it's fricking ridiculous the amount of stuff Bethesda cut from that game.
I really like the Fallout 4 world >the broken highway >the density of the city >the moored ship fortress >the gunner base
and loads more, love traveling through The Commonwealth
Any mod recommendations for FO4? There’s not really a list like “Fear and Loathing in New Vegas.” I mean there is, but not much. I used Sims Settlements last time so I just had to donate supplies and let the NPCs build for me since I don’t care for settlement stuff. I played Survival but man what a slog. I was scraping the barrel hard, slowly working towards Boston, so I could level up, because the enemies were too tough. I actually looked up a map that displayed what levels the enemies are in what areas, so I could work my way up. Just got too tiresome eventually and quit. I wanted to enjoy Survival but it was more of a chore than anything.
Sleep or save and settlement fast travel for survival. For survival it helps to save the bullets of the mini gun you get from Concird and Olivia to sell for 1 cap each and then then go and buy a legendary from diamond city. For melee you’ll want to level science and black smithing and blitz and then grab to Rockville slugger. It’ll carry you through the early game and is very strong. Science will also help with laser musket upgrades which is probably the best sniping by weapon in the game. The game seems to lead you into this by making early game legendaries drop muskets frequently.
Sounds nice. Anybody ever use the mod that makes the player output the same damage as NPCs on Survival? Does it make the gameplay better or does it feel like cheating?
Sounds like that one sets the damage multiplier to x1 for both the player and NPCs, so the other mod that changes the player’s multiplier to x5 (IIRC) just like the NPCs shouldn’t be needed
Apart from the obvious ones like bulet counted reload, tactical reload, classic holstered weapons, etc. I recommend survival damage fix, it boosts the damage you give while also making sure enemies can still damage you if they get some good shots in. Also mod out the enemy healthbar in with Def UI, makes the game a lot more fun when you don't know how much damage you're dealing to the enemy.
>obvious ones like bulet counted reload, tactical reload, classic holstered weapons, etc.
Anymore obvious ones? I don’t recall any of these from The Midnight Ride, but from the looks of them they seem nice
Most of the weapons from asxas, deadpool2099, and anything associated with the F4NV and Capital Wasteland teams.
This 1911 mod. Three world wars!

Gasmasks of the wasteland. This one is really dependent on you, it adds a lot of difficulty in a good way I think, but it's not for everyone.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17491
Smokable cigars and cigarettes, allows you to make a save (even in survival) using them.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13431
Backpacks of the commonwealth. Really neat all around, plus npcs wear the common versions.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29447
True storms (generally awesome all around)
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4472
Darker nights. Really, really good for immersion at night, and lights actually have a use.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/191
Deadly radstorms. With gasmasks of the wasteland, this basically turns radstorms from a minor annoyance to something you actually have to watch out for.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/829/
Ultra rare fusion cores and stimpacks. So you don't drown in both by the time you're level 20.

Reverb and ambiance overhaul. So guns sound like guns.

How the frick do you guys fit Nuka-World into your playthroughs? Far Harbour works as a post game story, or even mid-game when you meet Nick, but I’ve never played NW and from a RP perspective have no idea where to put it.
You miss 99% of the content if you play it as a good guy, and the DLC just becomes a giant dungeon where you massacre raiders. But the only other option is to be a full on villain, and then raid the commonwealth and the settlements you built? The frick?
i like it after finishing the mq
like your character has a mental breakdown after shaun dies then turns into raider and fricks over the wasteland in a fit of anger and anguish
Nuka World should have just been a full on overhaul to the game. Like the main raider gangs could have implemented into the Commonwealth and the truly evil character route should have been available from the start. It makes no sense that you need to wait until you’re level 30 to play NW and role play as an abhorrent piece of shit.
It's weird how they decided to make a DLC that completely fricks with the storyline. Best way I can think of is post-game with the minutemen ending then you betray them for a headcanon warlord ending. I think it's intended for people who don't care about the main quest though and it's another non-canon side story like Mothership Zeta
The most sense I could ever make of it was like the other anon said, MC just says frick-it after all the wild shit in the main quest, and basically turns into a villain. Kind of a dark arc if you think about it
ive never played nukaworld, i was so mad there wasnt 4 dlcs like fallout 3 and NV i didnt even give a shit i was really mad, like really really mad
but in hindsight it makes sense, instead of doing 4 real DLCs they had to pull people to work on Fallout 76 because these zenimax Black folk are cancer fricks
Half of fallout was the DLCs in previous games, i dont care how good far harbor was id rather have 4 mid dlcs than 1 good dlc 1 mid dlc and 2 side quests
The closest one I can think of is BioShock 2 which I thought was better then the first. According to people online the second game is terrible for some reason.
Nuts and bolts is a good game and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
If it wasn't banjo kazooie everyone would love it for it's creativity and simple building mechanics
Anyone still use Sim Settlements 1? I’m interested in the Conqueror expansion since there’s an option to have settlements building automatically right from the start. Last time I used SS1 was the three in one pack, and I had to manually disable the need for a mayor, and make a desk for each settlement to then have the city plan start building itself.
Is this the best there is, or are there other auto or prebuilt settlements? I hate building, but I also hate how empty the settlements are by default leaving the map empty.
i thought Forspoken was ok
Fallout 4 was hated but not UNIVERSALLY
It’s mostly hated by the highly vocal NV fanboys. Most everyone enjoyed it.
This
Samegay pajeet
Yep NV gays get pretty obnoxious when it comes to liking Bethesda Fallouts
I don’t even dislike NV but the fangasming over the games writing is odd to me. I would never go that far over for a video game where I think the storytelling is excellent. NVs writing isn’t even that good. The story has some interesting parts but it falls off quickly after you deal with Benny.
Agreed. Whenever I see a thread about how "deep" the faction choices in NV are with hundreds of posts I feel like they're mostly bots running through the same old arguments. The setting of NV isn't that engaging.
it's babies first RPG
nah, it's just obsidiots being obsidiots
>obsidiots being obsidiots
And now these people have no problem teaching 5 year olds cunnilingus and dragging them to drag parties and pride parades with naked men
Whenever there’s a thread about Fallout 3 or 4 it’s always people just complaining about NV.
I can't fricking stand NV fans with their "Does anybody else like NV? Am I speshul? They made a better game than Bethesda" when it suffers from the same problems, and the fricking points they are praising are the non-stop talking you have to do with characters, stopping gameplay dead on it's tracks to listen to lore, that doesn't affect it in any way. It could have some interesting points if it wasn't pushed on you, the only things I enjoy being shoved down my throat are wienerS.
I don't like Bethesda's fans either, with the usual "Bugs? I didn't see any" or "Well, there is a mod for that". If the game needs a mod to function properly, the game is BAD.
I think its really the fleshed out world is what people like about NV at least thats what I liked
I dont see too many people talk about how great the story is because there hardly is one to begin with
They like it because it is the Majora's Mask of Fallout games. It is The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Video Game.
what do you mean by this as someone who has never played or watched either of those
The sheer number of vs. threads being spammed constantly says otherwise but nice revisionism.
Bethesdajeets always trying to play the victim. NV friends get along just fine not even thinking about you
uhm sweetie, actually, it's fanGIRLS
dark souls 2 was okay

This. There are a few level headed anons who enjoy Fallout 4 instead of mindlessly shitting it like most parrots that frequent this site.
Good moooooorning sir!!!
yes this game is kino
you’re not fooling anyone Stefanie

If you enjoy it it's not universally hated
I feel like the only one who thought Left Alive was pretty cool.
the art makes it looks like it would be a cool game. what's the actual game like?
A mix between stealth, shooter and survival. A few mecha sections. It's all kind of jank honestly, but personally I was really into the concept.
unity asset flip tier shitty stealth gameplay
at least from the YT videos ive seen on it

Found it, it's called Shinkawa style by Yoji Shinkawa

NTA but I found 76 less enjoyable overall after coming back to it recently. Having enemies scale with you wherever you go kinda ruins the progression.
that's how every bethesda game works.
Nope. Oblivion scaling worked similarly to 76 but that's it.
the fricking mutations are a game changer. going back to fo4 is like losing your legs.
I fell for this meme and no, F76 plays like an mmo. It's not a better version.

Fallout 4 has a lantern built into the pup boy. You just need to hold the pup boy menu key to activate it. It’s green but you can mod it to change the color
Pip boy*
I am typing on my phone because windows corrupted my hard drive with a bad update. I hate it so much
I always do a playthrough of each bethesda game without any/many mods first (the only mods I used on my first fo4 play wer dialogue text restoration and editing the compass poi indicator range to be much smaller so I could explore and find things organically), and fallout 4 was mediocre in the story department but the actual gameplay itself was extremely fun for me. like most bethesda games it became GOTY once you started modding, and Far Harbor is almost universally loved.
>sequel universally panned as worse than the other entries in the series
>you like it the most
What's her FRICKING name?
For me that would be Max Payne 3
I can only enjoy Fo4 if I mod the absolute hell out of it, trying to play it vanilla is insufferable for me especially the weapons it has
Recently bought and played through this game again and I still enjoyed it alot
>Playing as Excella in mercs
Puro sexo
Most people love Fallout 4, though.
…in India
Your forced meme will never take
7 Days To Die, it's janky looking but it has its charm, got it on sale for cheap a few months ago and saw that everyone on my list already has it and played <1 hour years ago and all hate it.
I never understood why neebs was ever popular I watched some of their stuff and had to turn it off because the cringe was out of control.
It's 5 now 4 boomer friends doing horrible at videogames and getting angry at each other, each to their own. I like Simon because I know a guy who is equally as bad at videogames as him.
>why neebs was ever popula
battlefield friends
It's a fun game but they seem to be suffer from crippling moronation on certain aspects of these updates. The POI updates are really good, too bad the optimal way to play is to visit the traders and have him direct you everywhere now.
I think I have like 700 hours in this game somehow across 3 playthroughs
>somehow
Because it's fun
I really liked far cry 2 but everyone seems to hate it
>universally hated?
>highest selling Fallout game to date
Ganker isn't evidence of anything, most Gankerermin can't even mod their games
I understand the criticism but I enjoyed it
Playing it right now, mainly because I'm gonna replay all three games after having watched that Netflix miniseries.
>Netflix miniseries
The what now?
Not really hated, but P.N.03 got middling reviews and weak sales, and I love it.
I somewhat enjoyed TLOU2
not really I guess I'm a normalgay
I still like Driv3r
yes it's buggy shit but it's kino buggy shit
the car destruction model is something else
i remember just driving around a frickhuge truck and doing cool replay videos with it
I enjoy FF13
Fallout 4 is my favorite game, I have replayed it countless times. I can’t wait for Starfield.
for me it's the settlement autism
For me it just comes down to power armor. I love it. Stomping around in power armor and laying waste to everything with a giant minigun is just inherently fun. I even bought one of those 1/6th scale power armor figures to keep on my desk.
Despite how good power armor is in F4 I usually just ran around on foot. I did use PA for the glowing sea and to explore with the jetpack. I imagine there's more cool stuff to find in the city with it.
Absolute flawless taste. Power Armor was perfectly captured (feeling and aesthetics). I too have the top 3 1/6 figures (Mark 45, 51, Advanced)
That’s cool a shit. I hope the update doesn’t break all my mods though
it might, considering their adding code from Creation engine+ to Creation 1
Age of Empires III
AoE 3 is great and most hatred of it seemed to be "it wasn't as good as AoE 2" which has died down a lot since the release of AoE 4 and the AoE 3 remaster.
I don't get the SR3 haters but for me SR2 is the best and SR4 is runner-up
Probably the most controversial opinion I've had semi-recently is Fallout 76.
>I'd politely but firmly disagree, SR2 is the more engaging game in terms of your gang and how your character is a piece of shit wjo;e SR4 does the whacky stuff better. SR2 takes itself too seriously and SR4 is just too whacky. SR3 is the healthy middle. You get the fun whacky stuff but then the characters will occasionally take something seriously, making it a more compelling game.
>SR2 takes itself too seriously
Thats what makes the silly stuff contrast way better.
its crazy how hated fallout 76 is
i bought it for 10 bucks and 2 months of fo1 and have around 1.2k hours clocked into it before becoming so overpowered that i lost any interest in it. Its not an amazing game but i think it scratches all the right places
I just refuse to entertain a Bethesda game I can't mod. 76 might be good, but modded f4 has everything it does and more.
for me its the opposite
That shit wasn't acceptable when warcraft 2 did it, and it definitely isnt now
Did they ever fix that? if so ill try it again
also hows aoe4
>universally hated
Ganker is not universal tho
death to haters, world is a frick
980,456,467,492,041 dead drones
I don't know, I don't pay much attention to strangers' opinions online and I don't use socials. To answer your question, it definitely happened with games that were not intended for a large audience but gained mainstream popularity for some reason
I love Fallout 4, I find the fact that people hate it very amusing
Reminded me of the people that I suggested Demon's Souls to back before it even came out in the US and didn't seem like it would. They said it was awful for a hundred different reasons after trying it.
I like using the Bio rifle mod along with Gundam mobile suits so I can put people in Japanese power armor.
cant blame them, i didnt enjoy demons souls at all and i played nearly everything made by fromsoft after it and some kings field
F4 is the only game in the series I return to frequently. I enjoy the gameplay a lot.
Same. I'd play 3 more if it didn't have so many issues on PC.
>get the urge to play fallout 4
>redownload the game
>always start a new game even though my last save has like 100+ hours on it
>fall into settlement hell for 20 hours
>make sanctuary my perfect little town
>make the minutemen gods of the commonwealth
>get a bunch of legendary shit and get a really op character
>eventually get bored
>uninstall game
>6 months later the cycle repeat
Similar story here. I love that initial building up from nothing phase in Fallout 4. Once you're established though and you have your perfect little everything and your build has come full circle, I always end up dropping the game again.
Sim settlements 2 addresses this by making the managing settlements constantly scale
Same. Skyrim, Oblivion too.
Thank frick I got FNV out of my system already.
>make sanctuary my perfect little town
I always tell myself I'm going to build up another settlement as a main base but it ends up being Sanctuary again and again
>>make sanctuary my perfect little town
are you me
>work 20 hours on a settlement
>suddenly realize "this is fricking pointless"
>make new character
I actually like no settlement runs more. You just dump all your crap in wild workbenches (their inventory saves) and continue playing the game.
That was how my first run was. But I like the idea of acquiring settlements and the NPCs building it up. Without that everything just seems so empty.
Indeed.
FO4 was popular on release and still above neutral. A handful of brain broken anti-bethesda tards doesn't change that.
It's nice to have a somewhat decent Fallout 4 thread once in awhile. Most of the shitposters must have gone to sleep.
Cait when she in chems
Dragon Age 2, I like it more than 1
Hated inquisition, though
I understand Inquisition but how the frick is 2 better than 1? It's trash to me.
I'm not making any judgments about objective quality, I just enjoy 2
People will tell you that SR2 is way better, but I think SR3 is superior, and it's the best one in the series by a mile.
It required a lot of mods to be playable.
How the frick did they manage to downgrade pip boy? It's barely usable.
In game interface shows too little information. Mod that shows item's components is game changer.
>It required a lot of mods to be playable.
its not new vegas
Kek this
New vegas only really needs the 4gb patcher, 4 needs a ton
Also, good morning, sir!
>New vegas only really needs the 4gb patcher
good one
what is this moronic revisionism when it comes to bethesda games?
you have people claiming that oblivion wasn't considered good looking when it was released or that fallout 4 is unpopular as if it isn't literally the second most modded game in the world
how long until we start getting claims that skyrim was unpopular? when TES6 releases?
Hated by Ganker
That game isnt bad, its just not that great, not good as i expected it to be.
Story is shit, keeps you away from running around exploring and the fricking minutemen get on my nerves a lot
Cant tell them to frick off
Got caught in their web on first playtrough and decided to start a new game never saying ill lead them
Ofcourse i joined the brotherhood and shot shaun as soon as i saw him
Bannerlord
Still better than Trans Vegas
>toddgays pushing the troony meme because they can’t come up with a decent argument
No wonder you’ve been getting btfo for fifteen years.
*aren't
dark souls 2 was very fun coop
i coulnt play ds1 at the time it was released in coop bc of shit internet so i only pvpd which somehow worked reliably
all those year of pent up no coop let me go wild for a few years in ds2, even found a cool dude to coop with but i fricked up because of my then meth addiction and lost what is probably the best gaming partner i ever had.
Normies loved F4, the frick are you talking about?
Some of us, uhhh, don't leave this website. Like not even to go outside. This is it.
>touch grass
Why are zoomie tourists like this?
I loved Dark Souls 2, which I think is the sequel to Demon's Souls. Everyone I ever talk to seems to hate it.
Yes.
>Companions getting mad and yelling at you when you murder innocents
>The entire combat zone getting cut into a regular dungeon
>Fist fights in the combat zone you can participate in or bet on
>Nutty supermutants who think they're sailors or train conductors
>BoS and Gunner paints for ALL power armour sets
>Deacon having unique lines if you talk to him before meeting the railroad
>Strong and Hanwiener having significant interactions in Diamond city
>Random event where you hallucinate being attacked by multiple ghosts of Kellogg after you complete Reunions
>Deacon losing it and turning hostile if you talk to him after betraying the railroad
>The planned underwater vault quest that got cut in the planning stage
I like Fallout 4 and play it a lot, but it's fricking ridiculous the amount of stuff Bethesda cut from that game.
>BoS and Gunner paints for ALL power armour sets
I think that most of the sets had to ain’t jobs for those in the paid mods.
I really like the Fallout 4 world
>the broken highway
>the density of the city
>the moored ship fortress
>the gunner base
and loads more, love traveling through The Commonwealth
Any recommendations?
Sleep or save and settlement fast travel for survival. For survival it helps to save the bullets of the mini gun you get from Concird and Olivia to sell for 1 cap each and then then go and buy a legendary from diamond city. For melee you’ll want to level science and black smithing and blitz and then grab to Rockville slugger. It’ll carry you through the early game and is very strong. Science will also help with laser musket upgrades which is probably the best sniping by weapon in the game. The game seems to lead you into this by making early game legendaries drop muskets frequently.
Sounds like for Survival I have to do a more “Survival Focused Build” than anything
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/37599
Sounds nice. Anybody ever use the mod that makes the player output the same damage as NPCs on Survival? Does it make the gameplay better or does it feel like cheating?
I'd try that with https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/68655
Sounds like that one sets the damage multiplier to x1 for both the player and NPCs, so the other mod that changes the player’s multiplier to x5 (IIRC) just like the NPCs shouldn’t be needed
it's just balanced around 1x damage multipliers, you still need a mod to adjust survival's multipliers
Ah gotcha
Apart from the obvious ones like bulet counted reload, tactical reload, classic holstered weapons, etc. I recommend survival damage fix, it boosts the damage you give while also making sure enemies can still damage you if they get some good shots in. Also mod out the enemy healthbar in with Def UI, makes the game a lot more fun when you don't know how much damage you're dealing to the enemy.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20952/
>obvious ones like bulet counted reload, tactical reload, classic holstered weapons, etc.
Anymore obvious ones? I don’t recall any of these from The Midnight Ride, but from the looks of them they seem nice
Some that I always use are:
Most of the weapons from asxas, deadpool2099, and anything associated with the F4NV and Capital Wasteland teams.
This 1911 mod. Three world wars!
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/60726
Gasmasks of the wasteland. This one is really dependent on you, it adds a lot of difficulty in a good way I think, but it's not for everyone.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17491
Smokable cigars and cigarettes, allows you to make a save (even in survival) using them.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13431
Backpacks of the commonwealth. Really neat all around, plus npcs wear the common versions.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29447
True storms (generally awesome all around)
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4472
Darker nights. Really, really good for immersion at night, and lights actually have a use.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/191
Deadly radstorms. With gasmasks of the wasteland, this basically turns radstorms from a minor annoyance to something you actually have to watch out for.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/829/
Ultra rare fusion cores and stimpacks. So you don't drown in both by the time you're level 20.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/35975/?tab=description
Reverb and ambiance overhaul. So guns sound like guns.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10189
FF15 not so much the gameplay, but the story and characters. Ending actually made me sad. I get the hate though.
yes its not big deal it just means im mentally moronic and or constantly stoned to have no problems and going with the flow
No.
f4 is fun
it sure is
Fallout 4 is a big disappointment, but as a standalone game it's pretty good
I love Payday 2 and people shit on it constantly (with good reason, the game is fricked up)
you just posted it. 3k hours in.
The frick?
Don't worry Nuka World is shit
i like it after finishing the mq
like your character has a mental breakdown after shaun dies then turns into raider and fricks over the wasteland in a fit of anger and anguish
I like 4 but if it had 76’s mechanics along with its massive weapon and armor variety it’d be perfect for me.
Nuts and bolts is a good game and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
If it wasn't banjo kazooie everyone would love it for it's creativity and simple building mechanics
Tribes: Ascend back in 2012
there were SOME people who gave a shit when creating fallout 4, so there are also some elements of it that are enjoyable.
I haven’t tried Sim Settlements yet but I want at some point since it’s a really cool concept along with really fleshing out the Gunners.
