    once dropped my laptop right before going to class, i just put it in my bag and went to class without checking it
    in class i put it on my desk and turned it on and the loudest fricking "WRYYYYYY" came from the gpu fan. turns out the fan got a hard knock. professor asked me politely to turn it off lol

      my drinks/snacks/etc. stay on the right side at all times
      I never hold my drink on the same side as my pc either, if I somehow trip then the cup will fall on the other side

        I didn't know GPU stands were a thing until after the clasp broke. I was a moron and thought the GPU was still locked into the slot when it had already unlatched and ended up snapping it off.

      My motherboard was manufactured wrong or something, the latch never snaps into place even if I can't push the card down further. I still keep it vertical though. I also have one of those contraptions that hold up the end of the card, just in case.

    yeah I kicked my last one because every game I played crashed all the time. pretty sure my gpu was already fricked up, but it totally ruined it when I kicked it. the gpu was under warranty so I just got a new one for free.

    I got obsessive over two of my keyboard keys being broken on an old thinkpad and accidentally destroyed the socket where the ribbon cable for the mouse goes while taking it apart. I eventually replaced the whole keyboard and got it working again, at the cost of my mousepad lmao.
