Did you politely inform your parents of their profound mental moronation?
I've had this for a year and a half now
L1 became a little spongy but other than that everything works perfectly fine
this is my go-to controllers for fighting games and TBoI because the dpad is way more comfy than the playstation dpad. i can attest to them being very flimsy though. i've had at least 5 of these.
I have one of those right now. Dpad kind of sucks imo because I play a very different kind of game than (mostly tactics games and flight simulators) but it's at least serviceable and the sticks and buttons are good. Also they're a known quantity so Linux knows how to autoconfigure them. Shame about no rumble, but you can't win everything.
Also as for the real topic of the thread: I'm not inclined to laugh at a project for using off the shelf parts, but if that's your ONLY control scheme, you better fricking have good drivers. Or better yet have a manual override for when software inevitably fails because all software is shit
I prefer sym sticks. For RPGs and 2D games in general they're unmatched.
>For RPGs
what rpgs? you're literally just using the dpad for menu stuff
why does it need to be closer? thats stupid
>why does the input method suited to the style of game you're playing need to be more accessible?
I want you to play Fire Emblem with an analog stick and tell me how it goes. I just don't play a whole lot of 3D cinematic games where the asym placement would be useful. I think it might have utility in a game like Ace Combat but I played AC7 and PW very comfortably with the symmetrical controllers I have. On the other hand, symmetrical was very usable and pleasant on Hotline Miami which is a very analog heavy game, so maybe I just have a preference.
Indians, slapdash, anti-white scam artists roleplaying as underwater Elon Musk, and gulfBlack person enablers are not people. Shame about the pilot though.
Ayy lmoa
>I want you to play Fire Emblem with an analog stick and tell me how it goes.
this would've been fine
ill only accept the ps controller when it comes to 2d games.
F510 actually has rumble and a cord, I have one but usually just use my elite 2
Best $15 controller I ever bought
This. So many games I've emulated and this came through. Kids just dont know.
>cant fix his shit like a 3rd worlder because consoom culture
wew lad
if browns can fix things why do their countries suck
aside from it being third party this shit controller is so bad because its basically playstation
>left stick further than the dpad
what? why? oh right 90s
>disc dpad
kek
>no triggers
seriously people who say the ps controller is the best ddont know frickin shit
They still sell them to this day. Great controller for 1/4 the price of your good goy new shit
i have one with custom sticks
threads over
Love this little controller like you wouldn't believe. Wish it had rumble.
The F710 can suck my nuts
Get the F510 then
They don't make them anymore
Ebay
>pre-owned controllers
Lmao fair, but this one seems fine
ebay

Woah that’s deep
is said controller
kek
>Controlled by cheapy controller
>Can’t communicate with anyone
>Cannot be exited from the inside
>No windows
>Not tethered to a ship or escorted
>Last trip went missing for five hours but the media didn’t report on it
>During this trip the company on the ship above turned off the internet for some reason
>Can’t even sit down in the thing and like one person is trained, the rest are just richgays
What the frick were they thinking
>born into wealth
>pay everyone to do thinking for me
>this sub looks sketchy but it's just water lol
bro? can you breathe right now?
Why the frick would you ever use a wireless controller for a submarine, anyways?
Or any given vehicle, really.
Plenty of militaries use game controllers to operate tanks, drones, bomb defusal machines, etc.
Wireless makes sense for something you're not in, especially stuff that's going to be poking bombs.
If you're inside the vehicle, why not use a wired connection and eliminate a major point of failure?
he broke it
this guy seems like a genuine moron
same
why are you so mean to me anon
i thought there were no videos of the moment of critical failure
Wouldn't it break if you throw it around like that?
What happens when you press turbo?
same thing when you press doug
You have any connection problems? Mine loses connection for a fraction of a second and this happens very frequently. It's annoying.
I don't know if it was this one, but I had a shitty controller like this and the D-pad just snapped off. It was just a circle attached to inside controller by a little plastic rod. Who the frick designed that shit? I was stuck playing Super Metroid on emulator with a little plastic nub.
Actually, I remember. It was this fricking controller. HOLY FRICK this thing was a piece of shit. It had a square gate around the analog stick, and it's on the opposite orientation you would expect. I remember using it for N64 and binding the top 4 buttons as the C buttons.
I have one
I like it for fighters
yeah it's one of the worst controllers ever. ergonomically shaped wrong.
the designers thought people play video games with their middle fingers on l2/r2 so the back isn't shaped correctly
really abysmal. hire people who don't play games to make a controller and then don't QA it.
any time someone advocates for this controller, it means they live in brazil, or colombia, or malaysia, shit like that where people have 0 money, this controller is sold for like USD $5 in those countries
These are abyssmal, I was playing Sonic with one the other day and it stopped working once I reached the Labyrinth Zone.
I had a ton of Mad Catz controllers for the Gamecube and PS2 because they were the cheapest at the time and I was too poor to get an authentic one.
I've had mine for years, do you gays throw your controllers around in rage or something?
So your shitty Logitech controller stopped working, big deal, it's only $30. The way you complain you are acting like it is a life or death situation.
haha le ebin current events, le ebin people dying
cope more troony
>le ebin people dying
Yes.
>Implying I give a shit what a bunch of bored burned out rich people do just to feel alive
Russian roulette ain't nowhere near as flashy and instagram worthy so they do dumb bullshit like this
>ps2 controller breaks
>parents buy you a PC controller that uses Xbox inputs
why did you not apply the slightest logic to your made up story
because he wanted to make a thread about the submarine
ive got it right now its great
This thing didn't even work on the PS2 you actual moron. Go back.
>this moron thinks Ganker has dubs
Ganker has trips and beyond morons.
Do try to find one in the archive (that isnt 0s) and link it here if that's the case
fricking newbie
I still have one, I buy one every like 3 years because they are not made to...live. But the way they control is the best out of any controller ever made.
I want to tear underages apart so fricking much
VIDEO GAMES
controllers and video games peripherals are on topic
Yeah I had this one. Still do in fact. It's a great controller, worked for years for me until one of the triggers broke.
every boomer have this controller kek. good alternative gamepad for a pc.
>every boomer have this controller kek.
false. it's garbage. we bought Xbox 360 controllers in the first world.
No we didn't because we needed PC gamepads well before xinput support started becoming commonplace.
dude logitech rumblepad are way much older than x360, they update it to f710 it's same shit controller.
It even still shows up as a Rumblepad 2 when in DInput mode.
?
I am literally using one right now, it's a great controller and I don't care what the virgins of Ganker think. It costed me like 25 euros and it has lasted more than 4 years at this point.
The logitech F310 is unironically one the of the best bang for you buck controllers on the market.
I've ben through 2 of these over the past 10 years, $15 each. Frick you
If you just spent your money more wisely, you’d have a much better controller that would likely never fail.
I’ve had one for 14 years and it still works great. Probably the best non oem game pad
The controller so bad that it added to the Titanic's body count
I've been using my 360 controller for about a decade now.
>always use my ancient saitek p990
>always works
>didnt use it for over a year
>plug it in
>somehow drivers dont work anymore
now i have a working controller that just doesnt work anymore because driver support is bad
The backside of this controller will kill your fingers.
I remember using this controller at my friend's place as a kid once, and being surprised how sturdy it feels like in hand. I was a kid, so I can't really tell if this feel was anywhere close to valid, but I definitely remember the surprise. It was light, but it felt stiff and kinda of quality.
The d pad is unironically great
I have the one with the square thumbstick range
it was fricking SHIT!, that square fricked me up so many times.
>breaks again because lmao logitech
Isn't that controller known for being very hard to break?
I bought a few of this exact model. Loved them, but the shoulders buttons were trash and quickly wore down with time. Only thing wrong with it.
Would they expend all this money for rescue if it was a poor man's sub? The question is making me angry because they probably wouldn't.
frick no. why even ask?
no and I'm glad I haven't fallen for the meme.
the only thing I regret is even 1st party controllers have gone to shit.
smear campaing, these controllers are great for the price, op probably tried to shove it up his ass that's why it broke so fast.
>back in the day
lol
lmao even
Mine has at least 7 years and it still works, it's amazing how durable it is for how little I paid for it. The dpad sometimes doesn't work, but I'm fairly certain it's because there some shit stuck to the sensor. I can probably open it and clean it
I actually use one of these to this day. They tend to last about 3 years each. Though I only use it for some emulation and the very odd game thats actually better with a controller. The 2 parts that always break is the face buttons get stuck and soft and the dpad sometimes reads double input. Both of these are after the years of use and I got mine for like 15 bucks so what no big. The dpad input isnt ULTRA precise though so if you play like fighting games with a pad dont use this. This is a titanic thread so who cares.
Do you play fighting games on pad? Looking for recommendations
Honestly even the logitech is fine at least at first. The dpad issue is it likes to read double inputs in the downback/front after awile of use and obviously youll be doing thousands of those inputs. So if your ok with a short lifetime or the game/charecter your playing doesnt mind that its ok. Otherwise I use a ps3 controller since I find the dpad much much better. I intend to get a more custom controller later in the year they are just expensive for a genre I dont play a ton. Meanwhile I got my friend saying into my ear to just take the keyboard pill.
I like the d pad on the F310 but I'm not a fan of using bumpers/triggers, so I ordered a repo saturn controller to see how that fares.
>The dpad issue is it likes to read double inputs in the downback/front after awile of use and obviously youll be doing thousands of those inputs
Yeah, that figures. I'd go with one of the old Mad Catz SFIV pads (Snake Eyez was still using one in a tournament in 2016 which is nuts), but they don't make them anymore which would make sourcing rubber contacts difficult. Figured I'd stick to something that I can replace more readily when the time comes.
I've been using the same 310 for nearly a decade now
but I just replaced it with that starfield xbox controller
I had this one. I think it felt more ergonomic than the DS2
First pc controller I got was a logitech, I'm surprised they haven't changed the base design for almost two decades.
Op that's a USB controller for PC
It doesn't work on a PS2
I bought these every 2-3 weeks for a few months to play a shitty online fighting game mmo.
>trusting your life to a consumer grade Bluetooth device working 100% of the time
Do billionaires really?
obscene wealth literally makes people moronic
It's worse than that even, it's a 2.4ghz dongle
Bluetooth is 2.4Ghz.
Decent Bluetooth shit doesn't need a dongle
>getting crab'd because cords are a hassle
lmao bluetooth not even once
i'd rather get delta p'ed than suffocate.
>*record scratch*
>Yep, that's me. You're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation...
I left my PS 2 controller at friends house
Gamesir wouldn't have let them go that far under
>Gamesir
DO NOT
