Have you noticed that very few people who claim to "love" FF7 have actually played through it, or even played beyond the first 15 minutes?
99% of people who claim to love this game only make that claim to be a part of something great, to appear to appreciate a masterpiece, but their experience is limited to the sequel movie, cash grabs and remakes, if even those.
The same can be said of FF9 and 10. This is also true of a lot of classic anime; most people who "love" Cowboy Bebop for example and wear merchandise with its characters have never done a full watch of the series. Why are normies like this?
In fact, I've noticed an inverse relationship between the strength of your opinion on the Final Fantasy series, or any given game within it, and how much of it you've ever actually played.
>normies
Black person look in a fricking mirror
Source?
Maybe it a convoluted story that people have difficulty remembering past midgar
The heart of the plot is easy to follow, don't be stupid
It doesn't make any sense. Sephiroth was there but not and he's the child of jenova and the ancient people AND hojo and lucrecia and he goes insane but also doesn't? It's moronic
Sephiroth's actual body is in Northern Crater. He's getting the Jenova bits to use his likeness in order to make Cloud think he's chasing him but in reality Sephiroth is drawing Cloud to him.
Sephiroth mistakenly thought Jenova was an ancient/cetra because of what he read from Shinra's reports after excavating her but Jenova is a space parasite that almost wiped out the cetra before they managed to seal her away. Sephiroth is the result of injecting Jenova cells into Hojo and Lucrecia's baby while it was still in Lucrecia's womb.
Sephiroth's insanity seems to be a result of the shock of learning his origin weakening his will enough for the Jenova cells to exert their influence on him, causing him to do Jenova's bidding before Cloud tosses him into the lifestream.
ive only noticed that OP is gay and its confirmed again in this thread
>Why are normies like this?
Manchild bandwagoning. Evangelion is the same way. No one wants to be a pleb and admit they're too zoomer for the classics
Final Fantasy 7 is the goat, simple as.
No, I haven't noticed. I don't spend my time investigating fans and forming conspiracy theories about them.
I just talk to people when they claim to love one of my favorite things, and almost always it turns out they've never really played it. Why pretend?
You aren't the smartest anon
>Why pretend?
Why does everyone say the godfather is one of their favorite movies despite it being boring as sin?
>I just talk to people when they claim to love one of my favorite things
It's a video game where a skinny emo carries a giant sword around. Not Shakespeare.
You got "emo" and "giant sword," but you missed "anime," which would have given you the ultimate buzzword normie take
>You got "emo" and "giant sword," but you missed "anime," which would have given you the ultimate buzzword normie take
That image is what this thread is about. Forced disingenuous excitement over a garbage moronic cash grab pandering to people who jumped on the bandwagon of loving this classic game they don't really know anything about usually
>NOOO WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE MY FAVORITE GAME/ANIME/MOVIE
No
I actually just finished remake and was thinking of doing a playthrough of the original. How long is it and is it worth it?
here's your (you)
>How long is it
around 30 hours, more or less depending if you like to explore or just blaze through the game
>is it worth it
yeah
>please Ganker tell me will I enjoy one of the most praised vidya of all time? Is it worth it? Do I have permission to try it out just this once?
If you want to play it just play it
How did you finish a remake when it has only got sequels?
FFVIII > FVII
Quistis is my wife btw.
It's vastly inferior but also a charming game sure. Temper your delusion
This is a surprise to no one. It came out when everyone eas obsessed with things like game sharks. Most people never even finished Midgar before turning off random encounters and then wandering around aimlessly because their fruit roll up poisoned brains couldn't be asked to read any dialogue to see where they should go next.
so what you're saying is that if you actually beat the game, you hated it
i've played through the game at least 5 times in my youth and the last time i did i finally got around to defeating ruby and emerald weapon. used to be obsessed with it. bought advent children and dirge of cereus when the came out. played crisis core later when i had a computer capable of emulating it. haven't replayed it since before 2012 and don't plan on replaying anytime soon, but maybe somewhere down the line i might just give it one more fila play. while i admit it's not the best game ever, but it's certainly one of my favorites. i've played from 6 to 10-2 more than once. and 12,13(sequels included) 15 once.
kinda lost interest in the series these days. remake and 16 just doesn't appeal to me.
Play New Threat, it's kino
