Lmao i love hot lead. Actually for bots im playing
the explosive tag on weapons is bullshit
till i get the rifle that launches little rockets, for bugs the incendiary shotgun
Care to elaborate how an arc thrower does this? How many shots? Where to aim?
Arc thrower is absolutely based. When you have a team of 4 Arc Chads flopping their electric wiener of freedom all over a bug breach they dont even have time to get out of the frickin hole.
The charge animation can be cancelled to speed up the rate of fire. It's almost more overpowered than the railgun because as you're shooting a charger it kills EVERYTHING else around it so the horde is thinned while you kill the main threats.
Dont sleep on this thing and enjoy it while it lasts and devs figure out Shield+Arc is the new meta.
They nerfed three things because they were the only thing people were using and they invalidated everything else in the game. Even nerfed, they’re still great. Do the people complaining about this actually play the game or do they strictly get their opinions from trend-hopping YouTubers shouting “THIS GUN BREAKS THE GAME” and “THIS IS META YOU’LL NEVER LOSE AGAIN”
It was justified. The railgun was the absolute answer to everything. The devs telling people to use stratagems is exactly what you need to do on harder difficulties.
People crying about cooldowns are exactly the dumbshits who sit and fight random bug patrols outside of objectives.
>The devs telling people to use stratagems is exactly what you need to do

please read. the problem isn't with using stratagem to deal with charger/titans. the problem is only a few stratagem are worth using period. i have no issue with it being stratagem focused, but why did they make so many completely garbage. i get why they didn't want the rail and breaker to be the only loadout. but why did they make it so stratagems are basically airstrike/cluster, 500kg, laser or precision. then mortar and ems mortar on defense mission.

You can balance out the stratagem by just bringing an AT weapon.
I only bring the nuking stratagems when I want to use the LMG.

Having a single EMS user in your squad can lock down multiple chargers popping out of a bug breach while your team lines up AT on them. I know gas also gets shit on here but it kills 90% of the chaff so you can focus on the real threats.
Maybe those non-damage stratagems need some love so people bring them more.

Agreed. If they dropped the cooldown on support stratagems they'd be a lot better.

I'd like to see more stratagems become more useful as well. The last patch has shown that they want to improve the diversity of stratagems picked.
Personally I'd like to see the gas/napalm stratagem improved. The gas stratagem can destroy buildings and it does damage bots but the overall impact is laughable compared to the eagle airstrike.

Poor design. The irony is that dev isnt even aware that the actual meta is just running away from every fight and doing main objective, killing things is just a fun pastime. It disables the spitting but im not 100% sure if it does damage at all. You actually want the sac to remain so they sit still longer spitting. The stomping animation is more dangerous to trigger and harder to dodge. Plus they dont stand still as long when doing it.
the auto cannon is literally the only thing i think looks cool in this game

Fix them already swedish fricks.
>higher difficulties render a lot of weapons obsolete primarily because of charger spam, they're fine for masses of other bugs
I feel like bots are the same with chainsaws to a lesser degree, anything that isn't a shotgun or the autocannon doesn't really have the ammo economy or DPS to easily deal with them when they're being dropped 6 at a time constantly

They "fixed" the armor which has been broken until now
You die in 2-3 hits to the smallest trash no matter whether you are using light or heavy, enemies can crit which is almost a one shot. So you should be using light with whatever passives (throw distance is good)
I was super busy the whole week and just saw that the Breaker was nerfed. Is it still viable? Honestly I didn't even know it was meta, I just thought it was the most fun weapon to use. What should I use now?

Breaker still decimates everything
It carries slightly less ammo in the magazine
(13 instead of 16)
And has more recoil
That's all they changed.

Yes. The breaker is still good for what it's supposed to do, getting rid of shit that's in your face very quickly. The bigger issue is that a lot of the other primaries are still complete ass, so the breaker is always a nobrainer.

The game is balanced entirely around 4 man teams. It'd be viable, but you'd probably be better off dealing with randos. Also hugs for the friendless anon.
>Tien Kwan blitz mission
>manage to destroy all of the required bot fabricators
>manage to call in pelican
>start to get pinned down while waiting for pelican
>pelican lands
>everyone rushing towards pelican
>hulk nobody saw had blindsided the pelican, shot flames towards us
>fission mailed
If you completed the main objective its not a loss but a "Mournful Victory".
More proof most people saying this shit dont even undertand how the game works.
You didn't actually fail then. As long as the main objectives are complete you get a mission success.
RIP samples though
I know, but we lost all the samples we had. Still sucks.
how do you people find Ganker, you are so dumb
completing the objective is a mission success, this isn't drg, you aren't forced to extract it's just for bonuses
You still lose samples, dipshit.
>threads for the last couple weeks
>everyone having fun and using whatever
>threads now
>metagays calling everything you use shit, game isn't fun, helldive is impossible
its the same for any game, its actually fun until the meta is created. once that point hits, you move on to the next game. Ive got about 15hours on HD, and im thinking its time to move on
Chargers are buggy nonsense design and I'm tired of pretending they're not.
>their thorax looks like the weakspot but is bizarrely tanky so people don't even bother with small arms
>the unbreakable armor above and below the thorax has a wider hitbox than suggested
>the actual weakspot are their legs which goes against their design philosphy of exposing their thorax after they miss you
>the legs are usually fully armored but become unarmored at weak angles when they're skidding
>sometimes they keep running down cliffs and nothing stop them
>sometimes terrain completely bugs them out and they just stand still for a long time
>sometimes they behave like bulls missing the player if he dodges them and taking a while to recover
>sometimes they tokyo drift and clip the player while strafing them, doing bullshit turns or still sprinting even after ramming into a wall
>higher difficulties render a lot of weapons obsolete primarily because of charger spam, they're fine for masses of other bugs
>higher difficulties render team reloading very difficult because chargers sprinting around forces everyone to dive to the side
Fix them already swedish fricks.
of course they're buggy. they're bugs.
>higher difficulties render a lot of weapons obsolete primarily because of charger spam, they're fine for masses of other bugs
I feel like bots are the same with chainsaws to a lesser degree, anything that isn't a shotgun or the autocannon doesn't really have the ammo economy or DPS to easily deal with them when they're being dropped 6 at a time constantly
It feels like the bots are a lot easier to reliably melt by hitting weak spots which is kind of the crux of the issue people have.
Yeah, everything that isn't a chainsaw dies if you hit it in the head/back, chainsaws just take a bit more spraying
So any1 wanna play?
Only thing i need is youre okay with the Nword, not a homosexual and not trash at the game
Reminder that another anon got banned because his steam account was linked with his PS account and someone reported his no-no words.
Im not gonna type them
they voice process for verbal usage if you use in game voice chat
me and my friend couldn't join each other's game so i think joining through friends list is broken anyways
>autocannon can 2 shot a charger
No it can't.
It can.
No, it can't.
It can.
no. it cant.
It can but apparently it's because of an animation bug. If you shoot at the same place/time with any weapon you can strip the chargers leg armor.
>"Heeello everyo-"
>close video
I found a mech in my game :OOOOO
Yeah, they randomly appears in Tien Kwan missions. They're pretty bad against bots.
Helldiver 2 player archetype (90% playerbase)
>The NPC
Thinks the game is easy
Thinks the game is hard
Thinks the railgun nerfs were OK
Thinks you have to actually work as a team in helldiver difficulty
Thinks playing solo is harder
Thinks automatons are harder than bugs
Doesnt know what "lunge string slow status death combo" refers to
The Spear can 1shot Bile Titans and Chargers on headshot
Did they stealth nerf player health alongside everything else? I'm in medium armour and being one shot way fricking more often than ever before. The game's getting kinda obnoxious to play now.
They "fixed" the armor which has been broken until now
You die in 2-3 hits to the smallest trash no matter whether you are using light or heavy, enemies can crit which is almost a one shot. So you should be using light with whatever passives (throw distance is good)
Breaker still decimates everything
So they made it worthless and the game twice as annoying if you don't run the shield as a result. Do they even play their own game?
I was super busy the whole week and just saw that the Breaker was nerfed. Is it still viable? Honestly I didn't even know it was meta, I just thought it was the most fun weapon to use. What should I use now?
they buffed the other shotgun so you can just use that
Alright, good to know, thx guys
It carries slightly less ammo in the magazine
(13 instead of 16)
And has more recoil
That's all they changed.
The breaker
Breaker is still pretty much the best primary, Slugger is the only real competition
I still like the scorcher quite a bit. I do however need to try the slugger vs bots. Can it pen scout walkers?
>Is it still viable?
Yes. The breaker is still good for what it's supposed to do, getting rid of shit that's in your face very quickly. The bigger issue is that a lot of the other primaries are still complete ass, so the breaker is always a nobrainer.
Finally my decade old processor won't cut it anymore. I guess I'll play this in 20 fps until I can build a new PC (which could not be this year).
