I didn't even rescue him from the portal. I thought it was a trap. I didn't think saying no would permanently deny me of a playable character. I also kind of like that though, new shit for another playthrough. Going in blind and only occasionally googling mechanics made the game way more fun.

i ended up letting karlach frick him just for her to deny him at the end and having him fight for the evil brain.
speaking of, how do you even do the last boss fight against the brain? i ended up letting gale blow him self up to end the game. whenever i tried to fight the brain, i could only get to it with 1 or 2 characters still alive.
You can summon all the people you helped in side quests as meat shields. I think I didn't even have a character take an action during the first part of the final battle, just because every turn was about summoning 5 more dudes or a dragon to frick things up.
i think my save bugged out and didnt actually give me the horn. i sure as shit couldnt find it in the inventory of any of my characters.
In your first turn summon something near the dragon so the mind flayers spam magic missile at that not you. Then what I did was just cast dimension door and then the paladin teleport and burned 2 of the mindflayers down with smites in the first turn.
Basically just use teleports and its an easy fight. Spamming summons as meat shields is good too

Gale is the cliché bad gay friend, the type that tries to frick his bros and does it in a pathetic way.

Outside of his romantic behaviour, Gale acts like a foppish college professor who's trying to be cool, only he doesn't have much leadership talent. He's also Mythra's simp and his backstory is about him being dumped so he comes off as weak. Together they make him seem pathetic. Him not accepting it when he gets shot down also makes him a creep for violating the bro code.
I completed the whole game but totally missed him at the start
I played a wizard so when I got home out of the waypoint thing I told him to frick off. I only had Shadowfart at the time.
I killed him and then his reddit ghost said some shit and then we all died a few days later.
Had to remake my character and everything.

As if Raphael who jobs to a level 12 party is going to overthrow the Archdevils of Hell with his macguffin crown.
I did, and killed him multiple times with astarion to get the buff. At the end of the game he randomly shows up at the dock and begs me to find the karsus crown to make him a God.
What a shit fricking game and fricking shit story.
