What do I need a 4090 for?
video games
what video games
this overpriced brick can't even run most modern guns at 4K/120fps
Sure it can
>inb4 dlss/frame gen don't count
They don't for that price tag.
>inb4 dlss/frame gen don't count
Kek pc gaming has fallen so far all thanks to nvidia.
PC gaming would be a joke if it weren't for nvidia. AMD is 5-10 years behind in ray tracing performance
Frame gen is going to be a useless feature come end of this month when AMD's fluid motion gets a release in the mainline drivers.
>woah I injected framegen into this old DX11 game, pretty cool
>FRICKING AMD SHILL, NOBODY CARES, IF IT MATTERED DLSS WOULD'VE BEEN ADDED
Some slav already created a tool to make something similar to AFMF but works for every card. The only shitty thing right now is you need to run the game at framerate half of your monitor's refresh rate.
For the price of a 4090 not only should it run every game at 4K ultra settings full path raytracing at 144fps with no DLSS or FG, it should also come with a japanese businesswoman to tongue my sack while I play. If it doesn't it's overpriced.
local ai models and future-proofing. literally no other reasons.
I run LLM's using 64gb of ram i bought for $107
Unironically making money.
2017 was 7 years ago.
Not sure what you're trying to imply, but there has never been a better time to own top of the line consumer hardware for reliable passive income. These things conservatively pay for themselves in 6 months. And if you're like OP, you're probably trying to hock your existing hardware while it is still in high demand, with expectations of recouping your initial investment to roll into the coming next generation.
That said, now is NOT the time to buy, although recent SUPER releases may mean 5090s are sufficiently far enough away to justify buying the current top of the line to make ROI.
lol. everyone who made money on the crypto/NFT/AI grift got out years ago. the only dopes left are the ones holding a worthless bag with no one left to sell it to.
cooming
I already have a 970gtx and I havent found a game worthy that I cant run
I have a 3080
I will stick with my 1060 3gb for at least another 5 years then i'll see about upgrading, maybe
Why would I buy this when the 5090 gets released later this year?
There won't be a 5090 before the end of 2025 and if China fricks Taiwan not before the end of 2030. And prepare to pay at least two times what a 4090 costs.
LMAO
Idiots not putting support brackets on their cards.
Most support brackets aren't good enough. The awkward force on the PCB is still present. Vertical mount is the safe solution.
>implying excuse
It's a bad product.
i game at 1440p and have no reason to replace my 4070
You literally need a 5090
I play online shooters, mmorpgs and mobas, my 4070 is overkill.
Shit my 1070 runs league and classic wow at 120+ fps at 1440p nearly maxed out
I’m not building a new pc until this GPU dies
You game with unstable low frame rate and compromised graphics settings. Sad!
I have a 1070 ti. You don’t need anything more.
Same with my 1080
Too expensive, pumping too much wattage through one connector causing fires, only ugly third party models available in my country
I totally want one to frick around with sd though
the specific power connector is AIDS, waiting for the 5090
4090 is for 4K gaming and 4K is a meme.
You can just upscale games to 1440p and play at 120 fps on a 1080p 144hz display.
4k Makes sense on large displays but i dont want a large display when mine is already this close to my eyes.
FPS>Resolution
My 4070 already runs all games on max settings and full ray-tracing.
I bought a 7800 XT
>lmao ayyymd
Tell nvidia to open the rest of their user space libraries and I'll think about it. Waiting for them to fix a specific issue on linux can take years.
>Bought a 7800 XT
>Amazon had a flash sale for 7900 XTX at 30% discount
Oh well, better than nothing I guess
Too expensive, plus, no new games apart from gta VI I will ned to update till 1 or 2 years from here
I got mine for mining
4090 to pair up with my i5-11400? That would just be plain stupid.
Waitan for 5080/5090
My card is only 10 years old, it's still good.
Because my 1660 Super is fine for all of the games that I play.
Hell, even my Moto G82 with a stand and a controller is fine for a decent portion of them.
wtf do you play? solitaire?
Mostly indieslop on my PC, and emulating up to N64/PSX on my phone.
I don't own one because I think newer games are fricking gay and I don't need a 4090 to play Viewtiful Joe and Donkey Kong Country 2
Why is it the perfect time?
>RTX 4080
>best GPU I ever had in 20+ years
>destroys anything I throw at it at 1440p
only issue now is my CPU is kinda shit. dont know it its worth it to upgrade from a non 3D 5800X to a 5800X3D or just go AM5 or wait for 8800X3D
>5800x
Your CPU is fine. Stop upgrading when you're not even bottlenecked
My 7800XT is already crushing everything I throw at it thanks
The 5800X is still really fricking good anon. Yes, it *can* limit your 4080 slightly in some cases, but it's still going to give you more than enough performance in most cases. Unless there are some games where you're actually seeing CPU-related issues, at least wait for the new CPU releases.
t. 5700X that's far more than enough for everything I do
no point buying that expensive card when Supers are coming out soon
>256-bit
Man, I remember when my GTX 480 had 384-bit
I had a radeon vII which has a 1048 bit bus. CHECK MATE ATHEISTS
I do have a 4090, it is very cool.
I will never get over how fricking big this thing is. You know things are bad when GPU sag becomes a thing to be concerned about
Yeah, I thought my last card was massive.
Im using a budget 3060 12gb, and I play cyberpunk on 1080p/max everything with average 35-45fps, plus mods.
Im fine with it. Iam mostly a retro gamer, and cyberpunk is probably as far as I will go with modern AAA slop.
I'm going to get a 4070 TI Super and you are going to seethe
Why are graphics cards always shit? nothing ever actually gives you that "finally a GPU that can run everything at high fps with max graphics" - it just never happens, it didnt happen 20 years ago, it didnt happen 10 years ago, and it still doesn't happen today
They make everything so you never get what you want, so then you always buy the next product and you've convinced yourselves that "FOR SURE THIS NEW GENERATION OF GPU WILL RUN EVERYTHING SO FRICKING AMAZINGLY" and the it turns out to run shit poorly lmao
You will NEVER have a GPU that runs your games how you want it to run, you will be chasing the dragon forever. Even in 10 years time when they have a RTX 9090 you will be getting 40fps at 4k on the latest Goyslop triple A title
This was literally the case with my 750 ti and my 1070 that I still you use right now what the frick are you on about?
This is why I stopped caring about graphics, it's either that or trying to keep up with the industry by paying more than it's worth. I play new games on low + 30fps lock, honestly it barely takes away from the experience, as long as it's consistent, dips into the mid or low 20s still bother me.
I reduced my standards and managed to save tons of money, it made me realize how much of a meme this industry is.
that's the nature of software - the fact it can be written poorly so even if you have god tier hardware it can't fully utilize it. gotta make peace with the fact and call out shit devs.
paid shill thread
I coudn't forgive myself if I spent $2k for a GPU. The fricker could literally die one day out of warranty and I'd be up shit creek
Thats how they get you. Once you have spent $2k for a GPU now that becomes your new minimum spend for the next GPU you buy.
What are you gona do? Go back and buy a $800 for your next GPU? nope, no chance. From now your minimum spend is $2000
no thank you i play actual games
I am buying one of them new OLEDs instead, then waiting on the 5000 series.
I'm thinking about it but then again a good GPU is only for AAA stuff. so I'll probably buy a console for the first time in my life since game pass has a shitload of new AAA games. an xbox obvs, not going snoy or shitendo.
for everything else, I'll keep using my 1060 6GB that's still trucking on, somehow.
This shit is expensive af, also I don't use 4k screen.
It costs right in Poland around 8000PLN which translates into 2000 USD.
I'd rather upgrade my rig with 6750XT and 5800X3D and finally enjoy 1440 gaming.
>can't afford VR
>can't afford 4k
>can't afford modern games
>n-n-no, I-I-I just d-d-don't need one, it's a space heater/house fire , o-o-ok
>I-I-I just d-d-don't need one, it's a space heater/house fire , o-o-ok
This is the opposite of me, I have all of that stuff and sit here and play shit like slay the spire, synthetik and strategy games... I always say "eh, next gen I'll just go mid-range, it's a waste, but then end up going bleeding edge again. I'm dumber than the copers.
>and play shit like slay the spire, synthetik and strategy games
Frick
I still play exactly that on my 1080+ i5 6600k. It even plays some VR games nicely.
But I'm afraid some global crisis bullshit will cut GPU supply soon.
Ha I do the same. But I always sell my card on the right time and get the new high end card cheap. I dont even really use them 99% of the time, but its stupid to not do.
>buy 3080ti for 1250, sell for 1100
Etc etc. 5 gens
>lying on the internet
lol no one is paying top dollar for your scraps when the new generation is out.
You do it when they announce it.
Here my list:
>1080 bought for 500 sold for 400
>2080ti bought for 1250 sold for 1200(thanks crypto)
>3080ti bought for 1350 sold voor 1200(thanks crypto)
If been doing this for a while, anon.
Just time the market. Not all pc users know when new cards drop. Just wait for the "future of gaming" mail from nvidia and list
there are no pc games worth playing that require more than a 20 series card
>I only enjoy playing games which I run on my old GPU
How do you know if you can't run them?
But i just bought a 4070, and im good for atleast next 5 years
Given the state of current nvidia drivers AND their issues with display stream compression (relevant for those soon to release 4k 240hz oleds) a 4090 is a joke right now.
nGreedia still didn't fix it?
>HDMI 2.1 also can't support 4K 240Hz without DSC
kek
Nope. What you also have to be careful of when looking at the monitors themselves is what features they support over which connection - usually only displayport gets the full feature suite.
I know, but even those 2024 4k 240Hz OLEDs still come with DP 1.4 because only RDNA3 supports DP 2.1 cut down version
There won't be any monitors which require DP 2.1 GPU until nGreedia catches up.
To be fair its not like it actually matters as DSC is visually lossless and 1.4a with DSC 3.0 gives enough bandwidth.
Yea, I couldn't tell the difference with DSC on or off. Looks the same to me.
I don't have a power plant on my yard thx
I'm poor I can't afford it
>he doesn't own a water cooled 4090 for over $3000
pathetic
i have a 3070 that runs most of what i play and im saving money for a boomer cruise tbh
bros i want a 3060ti
will 650w PSU be strong enough?
Sure
Maybe
Possibly not
It's the recommended PSU you'll be fine
It's 200W GPU, unless you have some 300W+ CPU you will be fine.
anddd it's out of stock everywhere I look >_>
It's an old GPU at this point so it's out of production. If you don't care about gay tracing or DLSS just get 6700XT/6750XT instead about the same tier of performance.
Up it up to 750W and you are in a safe zone. If you have some extra money, I'd advice you to buy a beefy PSU, in case you want to upgrade again in the future. All that cable work that is required to remove/install a PSU, is a huge hussle, so its better to buy a 1000+ PSU and be done with it in one shot. Always buy Gold/Modular ones.
yeah but at that point it's worth just completely building a new PC tbh..
and there's like no games I want to upgrade for except for anyway
thanks for the advice though
I agree about games. I mostly say this as a blender guy who needs a good gpu. Also, from a pc build cost view, a PSU is one of the cheapest parts you will buy for your computer, so you can go a little bit higher in case you want to be a little bit future proof. A 1000w psu costs 150euros in my country. If you are not a neet, that amount is not such a big deal. In the end of the day, its all about your needs. At least check pcpartpicker site to see if your parts are compatible
>What the frick is your excuse?
I dont have a spare two and a half grand and have been waiting 2 months to GET an EMERGENCY medical appointment I was told yesterday was noted as general as in not an emergency.
tldr: send me 5 grand
sent 😉
Eh I have a 3070 and it runs everything I play on max settings. The 4000 series is so frickhuge and power hungry. I might look at a 5000 series card for GTA 6 when but otherwise I typically upgrade every 5 years or so.
I have a 2600x and 2060 with an am4 motherboard. What should I upgrade to if i only give a shit about dd2 and mh6?
5800x3d
>4090
>spend 50% more for barely 10% more performance
kek. 4090 buytard cope is real. I bought a 3060 12 gb, for 1080p 75fps gaming, sculpting and AI voice gen, I'm not upgrading till the 9000 series cards come out.
Is this what poorgays tell themselves to cope? LMFAO
>took out a loan to buy the new 4090
>only 10% more powerful than the 3090
>"p-poorgays" he cries out, unable to cope with his poor financial decisions
>"I can p-p-play the [insert new game here] at 30fps s-solid with DLSS Ultra Performance and Frame Generation" he bellows out without anyone asking, or caring
>shitty nVidia driver has his card running at 100% capacity at idle
>refuses to downgrade because "the new driver was made specifically for the 4090"
>has to buy the 5090 next year so he can play new games at 30fps on his 4k
pc monitor that costs as much as a car
>that's also on his credit card
I aint reading allat, too busy enjoying my 4090 🙂
>can't read
>bought a 4090 because number big
Checks out.
>too poor
>has to have an inferior gaming experience because bank account small
lol 🙂
>>only 10% more powerful than the 3090
only 60%-100% more powerful than my 3090.
>>took out a loan to buy the new 4090
So poor he needs a loan to buy a GPU
>>only 10% more powerful than the 3090
completely moronic. it's now clear why he's so poor.
>>"p-poorgays" he cries out, unable to cope with his poor financial decisions
Again, a GPU is so financially out of reach for him his only option to afford one is to suck dick down dark alleys near homosexual bars
>>"I can p-p-play the [insert new game here] at 30fps s-solid with DLSS Ultra Performance and Frame Generation" he bellows out without anyone asking, or caring
..on games and settings your GPU won't even run
nVidia driver has his card running at 100% capacity at idle
has to invent issues to feel better, see pic
to downgrade because "the new driver was made specifically for the 4090"
I have no idea what this sperg is on about?
>>has to buy the 5090 next year so he can play new games at 30fps on his 4k
I can already hit 120fps 4k with a 4090. I doubt the 5090 will be less powerful
>pc monitor that costs as much as a car
Drives a 1k shit car
>>that's also on his credit card
I don't have credit cards
>image being so assblasted you screenshot your gpu at idle to prove a point
>imagine being so much of a pedo that you have folders of little tranime girls which you use as emotes
it actually performs the same as a 7900 XTX in some games. people pay $1000 more to get this same experience
No the frick it isn’t, you can’t get it at msrp
>get job so i can upgrade my pc
>too tired after work so don't even want to play any games
>Buy all the high end component just to play Minecraft with path tracing shader pack
I was disappointed to find out that Minecraft RTX is just a glorified tech demo.
>I was disappointed to find out that Minecraft RTX is just a glorified tech demo.
wdym
give me one good reason to upgrade from 3060Ti
I'm more concerned that you got a 3060ti.
it was actually a hand me down from my friend who got a 4070Ti
Not really, the closer we are to the end of this generation the worse the time gets to spend money on top of the line, overpriced cards.
I have one, I got it for SD and I just subscribed to nai.
I'm tempted to sell it, get a 4070 super and get a 5090 in december
>implying
Do 4090 owners actually play any games or is the free time mostly spent on shilling it to not be alone in the trap
OP probably has a poorgay pc or he is a console cuck, but he shills high end gpus because he is a (You) addict and knows these kind of Ganker threads here get alot of responses
Generating a.i waifu porn takes up a LOT of time.
I’m thinking about building a pc for the first time, are the already made guides on pcpartpicker any good for someone who doesn’t know too much about what parts to get?
that one isn't pretty sure. it's a small case and mobo so if you decide you want to upgrade later it will be more difficult.
what about these two, keep in mind my budget is $1500 so I’m sure I have enough to build more than a budget pc
Simply for a matter of balance I prefer the cheaper one. I'm of the opinion that if you are getting a gpu as beastly as a 7900XT the ONLY cpu worth considering is a 7800x3d.
middle looks fine and is the kind of PC I want to upgrade too. Although I kind of want a NVIDIA GPU to try them out.
>i3
>Radeon gpu
Enjoy your moba shit, anon.
Nvidia shills sure are desperate
>You're an Nvidia shill if you don't just buy AMD
right?
Not gonna lie. I had a couple high end cards before this (1080ti, 3080) but this is the first time I actually feel like I have enough performance. I even drive a 240hz oled with this
> Now is literally the perfect buy to purchase one if you haven't already
You are too late to the party and you forgot the time stamp.
Is that actually a 4090? It looks extremely thin. I'd be pretty worried about that cooler. My asus model looks about twice as thick
> Is that actually a 4090?
yep, the angle has it appear thinner but it's a monster.
>gainward
This is a bot / spam thread. I have seen this same exact OP pic with same exact OP text so many times. You do NOT need a new gpu
You do NOT need to eat anything aside from rice and beans
>$2000 for a 1 year old card
yeah nah. I'll be getting a card for half that that will mog yours before the end of the year lol
I have a 4070
> I have a 4070
And why not. If you play in 1080p you need no more.
It gets mogged handily by my 4070 ti
It costs as much as my entire PC here. And I built it in 2021 when GPU prices were moronic.
>the perfect buy to purchase one
What did he mean by this
it's free replies
You mean like my pass? We both know that's the reason you replied to me. Game, set, match.
I'm only upgrading when GTAVI for PC is around the corner. By that time a 4090 would be an obsolete piece of shit, with just as much value as the 1660ti I currently have.
5090 releases next year so no ty
I have 3080, I probably won't upgrade till 60 series.
Why do I need a GPU that's worth more than my car? Come to think of it, why do I have night vision thats worth more than my car?
Waiting for the next one. Always waiting for the next one.
i have a 580 and it runs every game released today 1080p max settings
>He doesn't own a 4090
at least I have a 3090
>buy to purchase
take your meds rabi
3090 still going strong, we'll see what the 5090 offers down the road
im going to buy a new pc in 2 years with the 4090 equivalent and then i will be making this thread
Considering the current geopolitical and economical development it's rather unlikely that you will do this.
I don't have low impulse control
My RTX 2060 Super runs everything I want it to run perfectly fine
I have a 3080 Ti and frankly nothing from this gen is powerful enough to warrant an upgrade from that yet. Wake me when the 5090 is a thing.
>Paying $2000 to play modern games
It was $1600 a year ago when I got mine. Yes, still a considerable sum but this wouldn't even buy you a reliable bicycle nowadays.
>1 year until it becomes obsolete
>perfect time
If you think that the 5090 will be available in a year you live in a meth frenzy.
https://www.pcgamer.com/nvidias-next-generation-gpus-will-arrive-in-2025-and-slightly-later-than-expected/
>article dated june 2023 before the Super 40 series was announced
It literally proves it right, schizo.
Super is not "next gen", it's a refresh.
>Thinking nvidia is going to wait to milk everybody with the 5090
Hahaha why?
What can we expect from Intel Battlemage?
Meme drivers that can’t play old games
They're using DXVK for a while now
Arr you fricking jdoking,
You can buy a 7900xtx and one of those new oled monitors for the cost of a 4090.
I bought this entire PC for the price of a 4090, case included
show us your cyberpunk overdrive 4k benchmarks
i played it at 120 fps ultra settings but without rtx
i can get good fps with games on low settings too
ray tracing is a meme and i sure as shit wont use it on a shooter. you can have your cope.
Funny because you're going to get shit fps at max settings
I haven't bought it yet, is it worth playing?
Not him but no, in facts its only used for benchmarks most of the time.
https://www.youtube.com/live/W0wgZ4nqnfY?
Granted, I got my copy for free (didn't pirate, some dude on discord fricked up buying a key and instead bought an account with the game on it. Decided to give it to the first person who responded to him).
I'm having a good time. I'm in act 2 rn and the game is incredibly fun to play. Story didn't really grip me so far but the world itself is incredibly fun to explore. I honestly prefer driving around listening to tunes over fast traveling. Gameplay is also incredibly fun.I'm running a revolver build and having a great time.
I do wish the game was an actual RPG though.
Nice. Is it any good for AI, language models or rendering?
No clue, I use it to play games
>Bought a complete brand new 14900KF/4090/32GB memory system for $2000USD
>4090 by itself is 2K USD
It's funny when you can buy an entire fricking computer with a 4090 for the cost of a 4090. Some crazy deals from systems integrator shops out there.
I'm not spending 3000€ on a computer part
Because you are too poor. You will never know what it's like to just buy the best just to have the best.
I bought a gtx 480 when it was new to get the best. After that I value my money.
Or he isn't a 3dmark gay who buys every single top of the line GPU whenever they launched for the past decade
I gold some gold plated shit with your name on it anon, only 1500 bucks.
> 3000€
Are you sure it's not 6 millions?
It's 2500-3000€ locally last time I checked
From €1999 at mindfactory. But you should have purchased a year ago when it was €300 less.
I don't have that store in my country, so you need to add the VAT difference, and shipping. 4090 has barely dropped in price here, along with all other gpus. A 4070 is like 800€ or something
They deliver to all Euro countries. Why did you use € if you don't live in Eurozone?
I live in Sweden. Shipping and VAT is not free.
If you live in Sweden you better prepare for war now.
If we should prepare for war then everyone should. If Russia hits an EU country it's WW3. Not likely to happen. But I have some cans of food and water.
You are supposed to prepare for a civil war my dear. Didn't your defence minister make that clear? No? Probably because it would raise politically incorrect questions.
Civil war? From fricking who lmao
look here:
the announcement had nothing to do with a civil war
If you prefer to believe so, it's your ass not mine.
Translating news loses meaning
I'm building a new PC and so far it costs me 3003 yurobucks. This is just the PC and I'm going to use my old SSDs. I will still need to buy a new monitor and other peripherals down the line. So in total it will end up around 5k yurobucks, if I go with an expensive monitor.
Really sad. Just 7 years ago you could build an entire mid range pc for like 800€
Yeah, the market's fricked. I built my old (still current rig) 10 years ago and it costed me a little over 1500 yuros, that's with multiple monitors, keyboard, mouse and sound system.
And it's almost entirely just the gpu market. Most things have stayed the same price but amd and nvidia are too greedy.
Motherboards seem to have risen in price as well. My old motherboard is a mid range one and it cost me something around 150 euros, the new one I got is a mid to high tier and it costs over 550 euros with a discount. Some of the more high tier motherboards go almost for 1000 euros.
What? No. I've never paid more than like 120 for mine and you can still find for less than 150. Paying more than that is absurd.
I got this one https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0BF5D8QXC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And it's slightly cheaper on amazon, still with a discount though. You can look up some other ones, and they go well above 800 euros.
Maybe I'm wrong, but the cheapest ones I've seen for my type of build start from around 300 euros. But I'm building the new PC so that it can last me a good while, just like my old one.
What the frick. Could it be because of ddr5. I'm absolutely not upgrading with those prices, staying with my machine for 5-10 more years
Might be due to that. I just decided to pay more to not run into any bottlenecks in case I decide to do some minor upgrades in the future, which hopefully I won't need to, but you never know.
Man I wouldn't even think about paying that much, absolutely insane. I will not spend a year of savings on a current pc.
Understandable. Shit's absolutely fricked, but if this trend continues then I can't even imagine how bad it will be in another 10 years or so.
We're already in a period where it doesn't make much sense anymore to buy a pc, just get a console instead.
If it's just to play vidya, then yeah.
I work on my PC, as well as also draw, so it makes sense for me. Plus I like modding games, but then again modding seems to also being culled by companies, so that might be a thing of the past.
You are not supposed to own a PC in 10 years from now according to our WEF overlords. You are supposed to own nothing. You think they were kidding?
Hey, they told me I'd be happy by owning nothing. And they seem to know what's best for me, considering how they manage to handle the economies of countries and totally not frick everyone over.
name one non-woke game that needs it
Crysis at ultra high settings
My 2070S can run original Crysis at 4K 60 fps max settings without MSAA, with SMAA injected.
>60fps
lol ok grampa get with the times, we have 120 fps at 240hz now
Every VR game
>VR
btw does Ganker have it's own version of this gif?
>poorgay can't afford VR or GPU
who-da-thunked
Why would i pay twice as much for a 4090 over a 7900xtx? Performance-wise, they're fairly similar.
I ordered a RX 7900 XTX yesterday. I could've gone with the RTX 4090, but the outdated HDMI port for the price NVIDIA is asking seems unreasonable to me, and raytracing is still a hot mess that's only good for tanking frames.
>Now is literally the perfect buy to purchase one
>saying this right after the price hikes from 1.6k to 2k+
moron
I have an rx 6900xt and while it would be hella nice to have cuda, i can't justify buying a new gpu.
I just bought a 3060.
Same and I barely used it, I switched back to my 1060 after I played the AAA slop I bought the 3060 for
any news on next gen for either AMD or NVIDIA? or just refresh for 2024 and real cards on 2025?
I took out a mortgage to buy an apartment instead. The 3080 will just have to make do until an actual upgrade that's not reliant on software locked "frame generation" rolls around.
>mortgage
you do not own your house
Thanks, Captain Obvious. I never would have figured out how a mortgage works without your post.
You are welcome

Did you know that Lossless Scaling just introduced universal frame generation for every program?
Considering AMD has frame generation in drivers, Nvidia is now behind.
Frame gen is tiresome. I hate how its being used as "actual" performance when it should just be a fricking bonus on top of already good performance.
The point of "frame generation" is to make 60 fps smoother on high refresh rate display, if you're willing to accept increased latency, which can work with game on pad.
I agree that using interpolation to measure performance gains is pure bullshit and the foundation of Nvidia's absolutely moronic performance graphs when compared to 3000 series, and such software available via FSR3 or third party program completely undermines their bullshit marketing.
I thought it was to alleviate the massive performance cost of RT
No one recommends using frame generation below 60 real fps, but it does look good in marketing.
The story will now be that framegen was always worthless and nobody ever used it ever.
you should only buy the best and that is 4090 ti
Sorry I only buy snsv
have you tried any less sounding like an absolute slop goysoomer?

I'd buy an used 3070/4070 for 400€
Nice try, scalper.
I rarher buy a card that doesn't melt its connectors caused by a fundamental design flaw.
The melted connector thing is a FUD campaign spread by AMD shills.
No, it just doesn't have enough tolerances like the old standard and if one (1) pin fails, it melts. You can't even bend the cable ffs. Hope you like open air cases because this trooper doesn't fit in a tower if installed properly.
It's not the cart melting the connector but moronic designs of connectors.
And user errors, mostly.
>it's mot a moronic design of card, it's a moronic design of connector!
The card was designed to use the connector, friendo.
You can buy connectors that work perfectly fine with the card.
>t. cablemod
How is that recall going actually?
I used cheapo 20 quid ones off amazon since launch, working fine.
I got picrel adapter for my be quiet Dark Power Pro 11. It's rather flexible and allows for a small curvature radius w/o putting stress on the connector to the card. Why are people so inept? It doesn't require a master brain to make practical decisions.
>just started buying parts a couple weeks ago
>final conclude on a 7900 xtx since 4080 were way over price for 10% less performance than the 7900 xtx
>4080s for $200 less announce for the end of the month
i don't know if i should wait now or not
The 4080 super isn't going to be anything special - the performance increase over the regular 4080 will be just enough to tie/nudge ahead of the xtx on benchmarks.
so should I get a 4070 ti super or a 4080 ti super
>4080 ti super
nobody tell him
*4080 super
seriously though which should I get
I game on a mx150, so I don't game.
I have a 4070, which can play tekken 8 on max settings
I'm sure it'll be able to handle MH wilds at max settings too
Those are the only games I am going to be playing for the next decade, so no need to upgrade
I own a RTX 4090 and want a 5090,
I literally need more power.
I want a Varjo XR4 , I think I'm going to need a 6090
