Honestly I don't understand why anyone would consider anything else. You get more field of view, a more immersive experience and you can see movies fullscreen without the black bars. I honestly can't go back.

Literally every FPS benefits from this. My K/D ratio went up by alot due to better situational awareness. Map games are also insanely nice on a wide screen since you get a better world view.

Most supported, 3:4 era games have patches to make em work on this, can just set it up to have KINO black bars like on movies on bottom and top to go ultrawide.
It's an odd and unnatural ratio that only works for movies because literally everything else about the movie has been designed with it in mind.
Even games that "support" it in the sense of being hor+ with sensible UI placement etc are still essentially designed for 16:9.
Just get a huge 16:9 monitor. You can still play 21:9 within that using black bars if you want.
Enjoy your black bars in cutscenes and shitty motion blur because most 21:9 monitors are VA shit panels.
