bots can't always get it right
Todd would never ask for a tip.
Fallout 76 was created so people can tip bethesda
Facts, the Atomic shop is priced to price out anyone with a brain and g=have the whales foot the bill by buying things at a 500% markup
Keep buying Skyrim ports on newest systems, was Todd's way of collecting tips for the same shit
because he would ask for the whole shaft instead.
Definition of an artificial outrage and victimbaiting. Watch upcoming articles being 'boohoo apparently gamers dont respect service devs making for them'
Because he has a working recipe for 'former shitzard homosexual': buy another copy. And you too anon, buy it.
Paid mods isn't that far off from tipping
Journos don't play games.
it's because the game he mentioned wanting to tip for was elden ring
nothing would go to the publisher of course, all to the individual devs amirite
Yes! This way we can pay the devs less since they will get it back through tip.
People moronic enough to agree to something like this don't even finish most of the games they play though.
I'll tip them a fedora.
Modern game developers are such gays, I swear.
That's not a swear, that's a slur.
Oh I'll tip them alright
>*unzips wiener*
you're laughing. gacha games are eating up 80% of gaming revenue and you're laughing. yeah tipping for vidya is a moronic idea, but the point is that gamers are voting with their wallets and the results of the vote are... *checks notes* every game that isn't gacha deserves to die
Every game deserves to die
We can safely say anything made after 2000 is almost always going to be absolute shit. Can't even call most modern males men for fricks sake.
Gaming already died a long time ago. Devs need to nut up and actually bite the bullet already.
Turns out virtual skinner boxes are a better money maker than anything else you could do with a game.
This guy gets it.
There's nothing to stop all publishers going the Konami route and just not make games anymore, and just make literal gambling machines.
This is the future I want. AAA contained into literal casinos where they belong instead of trying to make kids BUY their casinos and bringing them back to their living rooms. Meanwhile the people who want to make actual games can go back to B-tier budgets and be free of the shareholder-induced sickness.
>Meanwhile the people who want to make actual games can go back to B-tier budgets and be free of the shareholder-induced sickness.
Have you seen mid-budget films lately? No. Because they died because of piracy.
Big-budgets can take a hit from piracy, low-budgets were shit to begin with.
>Meanwhile the people who want to make actual games can go back to B-tier budgets and be free of the shareholder-induced sickness.
>nah, this wasn't level of quality isn't worth my money, I'll just pirate it
I don't want this in gaming, but I want this in anime and manga, since western distribution isn't giving shit to the guys making these things anyway
I mean, if it meant we could bring Treasure back from the grave, I'd do it.
It wouldn't, but if it could, I would.
>"please insert credit details and the amount you want to tip your developers."
>0.00 tip (illegal value)
>no CC info entered (mandatory details)
>game.exe has stopped responding.
another quality ubishit product!
pay salary correctly
Developers should just get fricking royalties. That'll keep team sizes small and efficient again.
>former blizzard boss suggests that pregnant women should tip him with breast milk, from the source
These Blizzard folks are weirdos.
>tip devs
>70$ plus tip
I might as well start pirating again.
This is already a thing on itch.io where it actually deserves to be.
I’m not giving a $20 dollar fricking tip to Mr Blizzard who already owns 10 houses and a portion of the moon. You have enough money, you c**t.
>you can pay their health insurance, goy
Isn't that what merch is for?
>gives companies an out to pay their employees less
>That'll be $139.99 +tip
Captcha: D4JGAY
American culture is a disease.
if I could press a button to fine some devs, I would.
You can already, just buy the official OST, art-book, merchandise, or whatever.
It'd be illegal to do so where I live.
>he dosent tip his game dev
devs aren't touching a penny, suits will get everything like always

>POV: me tipping a former Blizzard employee after finishing a game behind the dumpster.
Aren't their games now live service games with no end? Also, many jobs are being moved from America to India or China and illegal immigrants and Indians are taking American jobs here in the U.S.
>how else can we squeeze money from video games?
>impose the social tax that nobody really likes paying until it's compulsory
Lol what? I pirated this shit without giving them a single cent for it due to their gender bs at character creation.
Imagine if im going to give money to garbage subhumans who push this hit.
Tipping? If anything I should be able to rake back some or all of the cost (ie a refund) if the game is shit.
Asking for tips should be illegal. Begging should be left to kids and the homeless.
hmmm i wouldnt mind this if they had nft functionality so that i could play to earn
>that'll be $130 plus tax plus tip
>also don't forget we'll be closing our servers 1 year from now when this inevitably flops
>of course you love supporting devs right? :^)
funny enough there are plenty of ways to do this and plenty of people who do already. Indie gamedevs with patreons, buymeacoffee, or kofi (especially the latter 2) already have this built in. Also, some have DLC on steam dedicated to it so that you could, for example, have a game for free but can optionally pay for it. Itch.io also allows this as a basic feature.
Several free indie games on Steam already have the system down for it, where they have something like the artbook and OST for 10-15 dollars, which is basically your option to give them the money for it if you thought they earned it.
Oh yeah that too, exactly. It works way better for indies than AAA anyway.
How about just fire everyone who us not an actual dev and just there for dei requirements
good thing you can't finish WoW and that's the only blizzshit ive ever played
By tip he means rape
Do you like this more or less than Microtransactions? Obviously a game that's "live-service" or even just getting updates will require consistent income so employees can continue working on it, so which is preferable to you?
>pirates
>here is your tip
>guy gets fired from blizzard
>says thing to make blizzard look worse
neat
>that'll be $70 + tip
>this isn't a joke anymore
That idea is beyond fricking moronic. Producers would use that as an excuse to pay devs less.
Are you sure your tip wouldn't go in the pocket of the publishers first?
Isn’t that what DLC and microtransactions were? Do these arrogant homosexuals honestly believe they should just get free money for nothing?
Tipping is for gays
Blizzard is home to the biggest morons in the industry.
1 - Firstly, publishers should be paying the devs better wages. The customer shouldn't be the one burdened with paying extra just because the devs aren't paid enough. Tipping culture must never be extended to vidya.
2 - Secondly, "tipping" already exists in the form of buying auxiliary/supplementary goods for games you like, like artbooks, OST albums, posters, figures, etc. etc. It's up to the publisher to make sure some of the money from sales of goods makes it way to the actual devs instead of it all going into the pocket of execs and higher-ups. Once again, this shit is your responsibility. Not the customers'.
>Firstly, publishers should be paying the devs better wages
They can do whatever they want, including never funding games anymore a la Konami.
I give them tips all the time. They just don't listen.
That already exists. It's called day 1 dlc.
Release merch or something? Also how the frick would that even work? If you donate 10 bucks to blizzard where would they go? Bobbys new yacht?
Publisher confidence.
If they see lots of money coming in, they'll put money into another 'investment'. Games are, in the end, investments, for publishers.
>former blizzard boss
>blizzard boss
>blizzard
My sides
>Customers should tip our employees
>Isn't that fair wages and bonuses supposed to be? Aren't you in charge of that?
>Frick you! You're a racist! Guards, he's a racist!
Actually a great idea for once, remove the base cost of the game and at the very end you may tip or not depending on if the game was a buggy mess, woke or fun.
>game gets 2/10
>"That will be $70USD plus 20% tip"
Sharts, what is going on over there?
Give me a single argument why Mr. Pink was wrong.
devs and publishers should pay (tip) players for playing their shit games
That's not a bad idea actually. An option to offer the devs some gratitude, circumventing the greedy publisher. Although, I'm afraid it might go unused, if they keep raising the vidya prices like that.
I would only ever consider that if the publisher made a legal statement in writing that tips will go directly to employee wages
And even then, it'd have to be a really good game
>Here's $2, share it with the other 10k people who worked on the game
>Don't spend it all at once!
The best part is all the games he mentions as examples of being tip-worthy, which are mostly AAA Western movie games.
>"tipping"
>after paying $70 for a product
lmao, mutts please go
unironically, paying half of the game at purchase and the other half when you finish it would fix the industry, as devs would actually have a reason to make engaging games that keep people playing till the end, and not just gacha threadmills farming with MTX trying to squeeze the whalepiggies
Best girl Miyeon!
