does anyone else feel that ape made fishing more broken? i mean fishing before was already powerful, but with the new additions he added, it feels like if you don't fish especially in the first few weeks you are either new or stupid because you are losing a lot of money
I don't fish because I don't enjoy fishing.
Ape can cope if he doesn't like it.
Fishing requires you to git gud at a pretty difficult minigame and commit a lot of your time if you want to make decent money off it, it makes sense that it should be competitive with the mostly passive income from farming. I'm sure it still can't compete once you get Artistan Goods going.
You also have more things to spend money on in the early-mid game now, those Books from the Bookseller aren't cheap.

It's not even hard, sure some legendary fish and the octopus are but the vast majority of fishing is piss easy even at lower fishing levels with no bar increasing tackle/baits.
Does anyone know if the triple bait also gives triple exp? I was thinking of how fricked that would be if you catch something simple like iridium small mouth bass but also get 3x the exp.

Moonlight Jellies is the most worthless festival in the game. It's neat on your very first playthrough and that's it, afterwards there's no minigame, no bonus rewards like the soup friendship boost, fricking nothing.
