CS3 Rean was peak Rean. Shame CS4 undid everything good that CS3 tried to do mainly cutting down on the cast so people can actually get development and having characters with their own plotlines outside of Rean.
I unironically defend rean because hes meant to be a bland self insert mc but he gets so much shit thrown at him I want him to unironically find happiness
In other words
haha...
Legend of Heroes died with Trails of the Sky. >Annoying and jobber tier protagonist >Terrible writing, just constant asspull after asspull with horrible excuses like how none of the enforcers killed Estelle or Weissmann acting full moron by wanting Josuha to kill Estelle to make him suffer when keeping Estelle alive will obviously ruins his plans >Terrible padding to drag the game out like chapter 8 of SC where nothing important really happens at all, or forcing the player to do four long dungeons back to back in 3rd >Combat is broken and janky as frick, Estelle is completely dogshit in combat but Josuha/Kevin/Richard/Zin are completely busted to the point that they can easily solo bosses >Outright pulled a Persona 3 where nobody cares about the previous entries, only Sky and onward >Also killed Falcom as a company as nowadays they only release Kiseki trash with the occasional Ys title
I think I'm in the minority here but CS1 was my favorite. Schooltime shenanigans with Rean and Class VII were pretty fun and the veil of innocence before the civil war starts is kinda bittersweet.
On paper, Rean is terrible. When you play the games, all the tropes somehow loop back on themselves and you end up liking the guy. You would think he's an edgelord with his katana and special demon power, but he's just a genuinely good natured guy who would drop everything to help you find your wallet. Rescuing my boy was the peak of CS4.
>Self Insert >Self-insertion is a literary device in which the author writes themself into the story as a fictional character.[1]
No he isn't, a better example of a self insert would be someone pathetic like Shinji from evangelion.
Most of Ganker are full of morons that have no idea what self-insert actually means. To Ganker and the internet at large, calling someone a self-insert is just complaining about how a character is written without actually expressing what you think is wrong with a character, normally resorting to calling a character wish fullfillment even though 99% of fiction is some sort of wish fulfillment, with the remain 1% being subversive stories.
Trails is the most "self-insert" series ever created. It is so full of wish fulfillment and typical anime tropes that it puts most seasonal isekai to shame with how blatantly it knows its audience.
Anybody moronic enough to play these games obviously wouldn't care what kind of dogshit they're shoveled.
Because he is the most "self insert-kun" character ever created.
Kiseki is B-tier shonenshit, what did you expect from its fanbase?
he is fun as a teacher

Weird, I thought the role didn't fit him at all.
haha, that's our Rean alright

I hate Claire and Lechter.
You just answered yourself.
considering people like to dunk on him, a lot, I don't consider him to be a "self insert".
When I think of Self-Insert I think of that fricker from YIIK
Cold Steel killed Kiseki

Sky gays are too scared to reply to this when it's essentially true
Altina mating press
I finished CS2 last week. The entire sequence of Rean rescuing Alfin was pure kino.
I think I'm in the minority here but CS1 was my favorite. Schooltime shenanigans with Rean and Class VII were pretty fun and the veil of innocence before the civil war starts is kinda bittersweet.
CS1 is my second favorite Trails game (behind CS2). Similar reasons.
I liked all the cutscenes where the characters just sit together
Id play cold steel repeatedly than support Zelda, Pokemon, Mario and Xenoblade have a nice day Black person
>I rather consume literal dogshit than actually playing good games
Just admit that you're nothing more than a contrarian trying to look cool.
Be gone tendie
>Pokemon
>Good
>best cold steel game is the one where you play as rufus
>best sky game is where you play as Kevin

Altina is the best falcom girl by a large margin. Crazy how they give me a Chino for 4 games, take her away, and then expect me to care about Kuro.
Because I hate shit that takes itself seriously and love shit where the MC always busts out a new move to frick up every bad guy he comes across

Best thread on Ganker right now haha
>He doesn't like Hahaman
