feels kind of gay even saying who launched them. it would be cooler if nobody ever knew.
No, it doesn't confirm shit, just that Vault-tec was considering dropping a nuke. Considering Cooper's daughter was just out and about when the bombs fell, and his wife is the one who talks about dropping the bomb, I'd say there's a decent chance vault-tec got caught with their pants down anyway
So they decided to just cut the part where they all say, "Nah! That's way too dangerous. Also a violation of trust laws and war crimes to fricking nuke the country we are selling methods to protect themselves from nukes."
show shills will tell you no but the big twist moment of the season finale is that cooper howard's (the ghoul) wife, a Vault Tec representative, says Vault Tec should be the ones to drop the nukes, she doesn't outright say they will drop but it's pretty on the fricking nose if you ask me.
I looked at that script and it would have been completely believable as a 00 era videogame movie. It was dumb as shit and would have been disavowed by the fans. Probably would have started John Guizamo as a vault dweller and a super mutant.
>had new vegas on steam at launch >throughout the years, never gave it an honest no-cheats/mods vanilla playthrough, always ran around killing everything and ignoring the story >commit to a such a task when i'm older one day >game crashes 3 seconds after i pick up a service rifle

Dont use any mods they mae the game more unstable. Bind quicksave to something u can easily reaxh like left alt or something but also do regular saves every now and then
im too old to deal with random crashing now, it's unironically more unstable vanilla than when i had project nevada/flyable vertibird and 500 other little shits. maybe it's a hardware thing like another anon said, but random crashing instantly destroys my session's enjoyment.

Yes, it helped for me, I went from crashing every 10 minutes to 1 or more hours of gameplay.

I played NV for a few hours and got bored of being surrounded by ugly unwashed people picking up trash and going into the desert to fight inconsequential enemies with a shitty combat system.
Me neither, a friend who loves 4 has been pressuring me to finish it and play it modded for years but I just piss him off by telling him I just find it boring
I've tried to play New Vegas on two different occasions(once when it first came out, and once a few years ago) and I always lose interest immediately after I deliver the chip to Mr House

The guy running the vault is literally a cryofrozen dude from 200 years ago who worked with the company building the vaults and even if that wasnt the case all of the vaults are set up like elaborate science experiments, they all have something duxked up about them and i dont think the inhabitants can override those things very easily
>you have this neighbour for who knows how many decades
It was actually just a couple of years. Remember they're not supposed to have any contact with other Vaults outside of their trading ceremonies or whatever. Yes it's fricking moronic but vault dwellers have been known to blindly follow Overseers' rules before, so it's not out of the ordinary for them. >and you dont know they've been done in by raiders because you never seen them before le mayo xd"
They weren't actually killed by Raiders, though. That's just what Norm and Chet thought when they first investigated Vault 32, before eventually finding "le spoopy hyper realistic blood" messages scrawled on the walls by the dead dwellers and the environmental storytelling. Moldyver's raiders showed up long after that event took place, I think.
As to why Henry wasn't clued in on this happening, I assume it's because Bud (brain roomba) didn't even know about it. The show seems to imply that communication between the experiment vaults and the management vault is sparse, perhaps by design to not "taint" their experiment.

>"le spoopy hyper realistic blood" messages scrawled on the walls by the dead dwellers and the environmental storytelling. Moldyver's raiders showed up long after that event took place, I think.
I don't really get that at all. It fails a lot of big W questions:
Who is going to make this generational ship? VT has never shown any specialization in aerospace at all. None.
Who was planning these ships? Vault Tec was just running data on what people would do for hypotheticals. That covers the people but that doesn't answer if the shops will be exactly the same machines that the vaults have and how the hell they were going to get them in space in the first place.
Why? Why did the want generational ships? If was to flee a nuclear war they would need way more time than to run the tests and build the ships and work out a real plan than the war going on right at that moment would allow. Like, I could get that Vault Tec screwed up astoundingly and thought that the nuclear devastation would only be a fraction of what really happened and so they put in these crazy experiment vaults expecting that these people would be in there for 20 years and come out and everything would be fine. That VT didn't look at the first line of the plan and realize worldwide society would be vaporized and the survivors would be the people spending their entire lives and generations after living out ideas they ripped from a TV sci-fi show while getting high off their asses.
i will never watch modern american DIE entertainment. i will admit however that despite having 200 hours in new vegas, i almost never gave a single shit about the story
I played F1, F2, tried Tactics, played F3, and played NV.
I hated F3. Will never play F4. Will never watch the TV show. And NV suffers heavily from being connected to Bethesda's Fallout.
I feel like the show could've been easily transplanted into another state and still function almost exactly the same, so setting it in the west coast, teleporting Shady Sands to the boneyard then tying the destruction of Shady Sands to the downfall of the entire NCR could've been avoided entirely. the only people who care about west coast fallout are oldgays, and the plot only serves to piss off those oldgay fans.

New Vegas is such a slog to play if your heart isn't 100% in it and if it is, it's amazing. But everything leading up to Novac is just such a slow burn, the game really does not treat its own world with any kind of flash or pomposity, it's the dead opposite of how Fallout 3 introduces you to its world. And New Vegas is 100% a better game for it, but it requires more patience and participation.
Fallout 3 you can just go in halfhearted, turn your brain off and just be served everything on a silver plate. New Vegas is like "frick that, you think you're special? you're a Courier who cares"
I haven't played it in a few years and despite having close to 300 hours (possibly more if you include pirated copy I had way back in the day) I
've never done an NCR run
I am watching the thechief1114 play New Vegas, with the Fingle Dan follower mod, so I don't really need to play that shit, I have not played it since before skyrim came out.
I was hyped as frick for New Vegas. I loved 3 and saw the badass armor, plus they played a billion commercials on ESPN for it leading up to release. It had actually decent melee, and iron sights…a large improvement from 3. I bought that shit day one.
Got it on my way home from work, popped the disc into my 360, played the intro with the doctor, he told me to leave his house, I hit A at the door, and the console soft bricked. It did this several more times within an hour of playing the game. No other game had that issue.
That’s my fondest memory of the game, and describes my thoughts on it perfectly: massive hype followed by a massive crash and burn. It was “ok”, I remember thinking Mr. House was a ripoff of Andrew Ryan, thinking the combat was superior to 3’s, thinking the map was worse than 3’s by a large margin. I can’t remember any music from it, I can’t remember any major locations. Nothing from the game was as memorable or interesting as exploring the Lincoln Memorial or DC metro system, but I’m from PA and live a stone’s throw from DC so I’m biased and would rather explore the east coast than the worst coast or the desert.
>karma does nothing >reputation does nothing >terrible storytelling >shit map >shit quests >shit music

On launch it's save function didn't even work and crashed when you left good springs.
Good writing but a buggy ass game.
I played NV for a few hours and got bored of being surrounded by ugly unwashed people picking up trash and going into the desert to fight inconsequential enemies with a shitty combat system.
