>he picks a switch lite over a switch OLED/standard model
its like you like your console not having a constant full charge and just being "loose" in your house instead of having a dock to call home

I don't have a switch and the number of interesting games on the console is still less than 2.
what are your top 5 games from the last 5 years?
>he picks a switch over a PC
it's like you like having fricking nothing to play
>Implying I don't also have a PC
switchgays always say this and then portbeg for persona or nier
I ain't port begging for shit I hate persona and nier is straight up too hard for me I have the ports I want for switch (GTA and Kotor)
If he has a pc then he's a portbeggar obviously kek
Don't want gaysona. Give me AOE2 and point and clicks.
PC + Nintendo console has always been the best combo.
Nier I already played on PS4. I'd like Persona on Switch because I prefer RPGs handheld.
Someone sell me on one of these. I bought a switch right before these little bastards were announced and I never used mine docked. Is it worth trading for one of these or not.
I have one and I like it, obviously limited cause some games need a waggle but the buttons feel great. I got it around the start of covid when the normal switches were basically impossible to get and I just had to buy one so I didn’t have to wait.
their pretty great but beware that the D-pad needs some replacements with the PSP's to be usable for any sort of fighting game
I got a switch lite. I never play consoles on my TV really and prior to the switch mostly played 3ds. So I guess for me it made sense. Ended up eventually getting an original model for cheap but it is just too big. Almost a tablet, oled is even bigger and deck is bigger than that I don't get it.
>and deck is bigger than that I don't get it.
As a Lite lover, I am looking forward to the new smaller PC handhelds. We had the Win 3 already but the upcoming Air and Loki are more competitively priced.
Fair point, I didn't think about it being more akin to a true pc instead of a console.
Buy Retroid Pocket.
great handheld emulator.
Doesn‘t it take like half a year for this to actually arrive after you order
>discussion about meat
>"JUST EAT BUGS INSTEAD"
Every time.
I prefer the Lite over the standard Switch because I never play in docked mode anyway. The standard Switch is not worth the extra money and since the detachable controllers are a feature I never use I avoid unnecessary wear of moveable parts.
The only downsides are the smaller screen and weaker battery, though.
Are switch lites that bad? I really like how they look and their colours
and here's me having fun with astral chain
I gotta say there is something special about playing all those AAA titles like Doom 2016 / Eternal, The Witcher 3, Skyrim, Dark Souls, Fast RMX, Mario Odyssey, Zelda BotW, Borderlands, Crysis and so on,
The Switch feels like a big tablet but the smaller Lite, it reminds me of the GBA I grew up with. I loved handhelds as a kid and to see games that were better than what they had on console back then running on a handheld, it's a bit of magical experience.
Everyone talks down the Switch now cause of the Deck and other UMPC's and yes it is getting long in the tooth but still, even though I prefer 2D game I get childish delight powering up a AAA on the thing.
>the smaller Lite, it reminds me of the GBA I grew up with. I loved handhelds as a kid and to see games that were better than what they had on console back then running on a handheld, it's a bit of magical experience.
this
>oled
Enjoy screen burn in.
moron
and just trying to see some booty
Why yes. Saved me a lot of money and I got the superior dpad.
I have only ever played Switch handheld mode maybe half a dozen times since owning one. It's too big to be conviently portable and if I'm at home I will just use the dock to have surround sound and a big tv.
i kind of want one and it'll be a lite for me if i ever do get one. but why shouldn't i get a lite over the regular one? i won't be playing it on a TV or a PC monitor
>its like you like your console not having a constant full charge and just being "loose" in your house instead of having a dock to call home
Those are the two reasons I bought a Lite. Docks are for boats only, no need to upend the natural order.
I think so. I have both, got the regular Switch after for couch co-op.] and I pretty much exclusively use the Lite, smaller, lighter, nice d-pad, easier to grab, it's convenient to just keep in the same room as me.
There are downsides though. If you find it uncomfortable you can't swap the controls and if they break you gotta send the whole console in... this is kinda rare though.
I would say if you are sure you want handheld play go for it, you can always grab a Switch down the road.
i'd be tempted to own a switch lite if they were easily hackable but they aren't, and probably won't be until EOL. i only own a few switch games legitimately i could play on it otherwise.
The regular Switch has loud tactile buttons and shoulder buttons.
The Switch Lite has softer membrane buttons, it's much more quite.
I bought a lite just for Live A Live next month
What else should I get for it? It seems to have no games
>It seems to have no games
It has tons, I am playing Shredders Revenge right now, this thing is gold for indie games.
The question is, what kind of games do you like.
https://www.dekudeals.com/hottest
ya that is true but I guess I was implying exclusive games
Do you not like typical Nintendo stuff?
Ya I guess. Triangle strategy and octopath seem more up to my liking. I am playing Neon White too at the moment
Triangle strategy is pretty good. Octopath...was. acceptable. 7.5/10 for me. Also, golf story is amazing anon. 12/10 easily. Pikmin 3 is gorgeous, but is my least favorite Pikmin. Luigi's mansion is really pretty fun. I didn't like botw that much, and I didn't like the Metroid dread demo so I didn't buy it. Other exclusives...it sounds like you are not a bing wahoo guy but Odyssey isn't bad. 8/10, kind of plain feeling and not much soul to be had.
>ya that is true but I guess I was implying exclusive games
I get that if you are not a Nintendo fan but since I like handhelds any game I can get on Switch is a win... so long as it runs well.
I feel like that is why indie game devs say they get their best business on the Switch. If you buy it on say PS4, in most cases you get the same game, same performance, for the same price with none of the portability.
implying I need my mobile handheld console to be in a stationary dock
Switch lite is great.
normal Switch is way too big and uncomfortable to hold.
The only (big) downside is the battery life.
I could only play 4=5 hours or so outside, but that's more than enough during commute.
I have both and I keep my Lite in the animal crossing case
the thing gives me cramps in my hands.
pretty sure these are for kids
You probably hold it too hard. Relax the frick up.
I bought a switch OLED and have used it less than 1 hour
I have both. Unfortunately the save data upload feature is so poorly implemented that I can't just put one in sleep mode, turn the other one on and immediately have a fully updated save file to continue from. Nope, instead I have to manually upload and then manually download the save data to play, and then do the entire thing again to use the other switch again. I really just use the Lite for comfy short games to play in bed when I'm too sleepy to sit up in my chair and play bigger games docked. Switch Lite is great if that's all you can afford at the moment, and you can use it while saving up for a full Switch. That being said, do not buy it unless you absolutely have to or you like the idea of having one to compliment your main Switch. It is not a good main Switch, but you can use Pro controllers and most other accessories with it. It's a decent device.
You keep them both online and they do that automatically after shutting a game down just like steam.
I own both and I prefer using my Lite. The regular switch feels like dogshit to hold for more then an hour. The Lite feels like I'm holding a larger vita, the regular/OLED makes me feel like I'm holding a tablet.
Oh and the ZL ZR buttons feels like shit on the joycons, almost like they're too fricking small. The Lite is 100% better in that regard.
I got a standard model because I like my bing bing wahoos on the big screen 🙂
Nu nintendy console next year anyway
Le 2 more weeks.
Remember the Switch Pro? Any day now right?
>buying Switch
Outdated hardware
Still not fixed drifting
>buying Switch Lite
Outdated hardware
Drifting problem even more important
Shit screen
>buying Switch OLED
Unironically paying more for still same old hardware and same drift problems
Nintendo fans are ultimate cucks
motion inputs are kind of a pain in handheld mode, for some reason those puzzles in botw are a lot less sensitive than detached joy-cons
you're also gonna be doing a lot of swinging the entire console around in mario odyssey
