NTA but I can't properly absorb information or understand the world/characters when someone else is reading the book to me. I have to read it myself to properly get a grasp of the setting, characters, and dialogue. I only usually read sci-fi or fantasy stuff anyway. I tried listening to the audiobook for GoT and it wasn't as immersive/interesting compared to reading the first chapter myself.
I like both myself. I read books with shitty narrators. I listen to books with good ones. I only started because I have a job in which I work alone and with my hands, so an audiobook was ideal.

Also, they somehow start from using fax at the beginning of the series, to using smartphones in the modern episodes. All that not even in a year. The technological advance on that parallel universe Japan is insanely fast. I think they might be stuck in time
