this. If I'm actually advancing the plot in anyway or experiencing something new I put the game's audio on. If I'm doing boring shit like grinding for levels, doing challenges like gathering collectibles, farming items, or whatever else that's just tedious busy work I'll put on my own stuff to zone out
lots of rpgs, especially jrpgs, have this kind of shit in it. Another example I was thinking of when I typed that is monster hunter, where you're just doing hunts over and over again to get a gem, a plate, or a crown you need.
the way your character moves in dark souls 1 syncs up so perfectly to crystal castles. plus the ethereal yet energetic electronic music syncs up with this strange world so well... it's quite the experience.
I do that shit all the fricking time in CTR: eurobeat, classic rock, JPOP, Disco the works. I used them to hype myself up to beat dev times and big names in multiplayer when we shared lobbies.
When a game's music is very familiar and it's the kind of thing I'll be repeating a lot. My recommendation is playing the first Hitman to Selected Ambient Works Volume II, especially with the Rotterdam level.
If it's a game I'm really invested in and want to get fully immersed in then I'd never consider it
But the thing is I treat 99% of the games I play as the timewasters they are. I'm not gonna sperg out about hearing the OST to fricking picross or mario kart every single time I boot it up.
>no wonder most of them are young people who do it
if anything it's the opposite with me, when I was a teenager/young adult I took games way too seriously and always got mad at people that did this kinda thing. but now I'm pushing 30 and I just don't give a frick. games aren't art, they're toys after all.
i can't play call of duty online with the game sounds, no matter the game mode - even search.
drain the shit out with anything i can and just use my instincts. nobody believes me though.
I've always wondered who actually listens to music while playing games. I see those "NIGHTCORE DUBSTEP GAMING MIX 2018" videos on israelitetube with like 15 million views but i don't really understand why because most games need you to hear whats going on.

>tedious busy work
>in a video game

>He's puts he's owns musics in he's owns video-games

sorry CK2’s soundtrack fricking sucks, I can only play in total silence for so long before I start to notice how autistic I am.

>play game for years and years
>not getting sick of the music
Dunno what to tell you.
If you're able to put in 1,000+ hours into a video game and not get tired of the music, more power to you

anyone got a QRD on setting this up on the PPSSPP?
Stop composing shit music then, moron.
Fricking based.
I did this with Killing floor
Played Vocaloid dubstep while mowing down hordes with a flamethrower.
>Vocaloid dubstep
For me, it's Masa Works Design.
Some games have GOOD music and some games have BAD music. Really not that hard to understand, OP.
>all these answers
no wonder most of them are young people who do it
the only games that could justify doing it, are the mmorpg games
>no wonder most of them are young people who do it

>open foxhole
>start playlist
>start scrapping
it's comfy time
Not music but epic twitch streamers. How does that make you feel, OP?
I'll do you one better vtubers
It's been over 2k hours in monster hunter. I deserve a break. I do have a couple of older monster hunter tracks in the playlist.
I did this just today while playing Dungeon Encounters because the music in-game is horrible.

I fricking hate Lillie.
i can't play call of duty online with the game sounds, no matter the game mode - even search.

>farming in a jrpg
>turn down game volume
>listen to playlist
comfy times are ahead
sometimes the game's music is so quiet it's basically not there. Like in Metroid Other M or FFXV
I've always wondered who actually listens to music while playing games. I see those "NIGHTCORE DUBSTEP GAMING MIX 2018" videos on israelitetube with like 15 million views but i don't really understand why because most games need you to hear whats going on.
Not every game is a multiplayer/shooter/rts game. 4x/roguelike/rpg grindan is cosy if you're blastan your own musics
I really liked that MGS V had the custom cassette tape
