Alright, convince me. What's the most responsive top tier wireless mouse that doesn't use a proprietary rf dongle?

      >doesn't use a proprietary rf dongle
Why? Bluetooth sucks compared to dongle. If you must though, logitech G604 is pretty good until it starts double clicking like all Logitech mice do.

I don't want a proprietary dongle. Any sort of open wireless standard is fine. Though the most important feature beyond that is that it is actually performant wirelessly.
From what I can tell, the pure bluetooth modes of most mice - including logitech - are noticeable laggy compared to a wired mouse.

yea i don't like dealing with batteries or extra latency. wired mice work great for me. back in the late 2000s the cords would sometimes fray, but they build the cords better these days, i haven't lost a mouse due to cord shit since like 2010.

Batteries are a fair point, but the latency on a wired mouse is negligible to the point where I seriously doubt anyone can tell the difference, even pro players use wireless at this point.

ye fair, guess it's just batteries at this point then. cord isn't really a bother to me so i'm fine with wires

i took the wireless pill and absolutely love it. battery time has been great, and charges quick. and even when you charge it you use it just like a normal wired mouse

the only thing i care about tho is how free it feels compared to a wired mouse, much easier to use

I switched back to wired mice and keyboards because I got sick of having to change the batteries at the worst possible time.

The main drawback with wireless is the loss of one port for the dongle. Bluetooth might work but you'll always get whiners due to muh latency. Batteries are a non-issue really especially if you get good rechargeable ones like eneloops.

I use a wired. I never not play at my computer desk. It makes no sense to do cordless. I'd just be paying a lot more to remove a cord that is never an issue.

What the hell is the advantage of a wireless mouse anyway? Are you sitting thirty feet from your computer? Why would you do such a thing? I'm all for wireless controllers and headphones and such, but to me making a mouse and keyboard wireless is like giving a microwave a smartphone app. You have to put the food in there in the first place, so how would the app be more convenient than just hitting the buttons on the console?
