I found out about the alpha on a forum thread. Not much to do other than build and delete blocks, but a bunch of people were immediately interested in the concept the moment they saw it. It was obviously a game idea that had potential.

i was looking around my library i saw a game my brother bought who knows when and i've never noticed it before, i saw that it was getting recent updates and dev progress report so i went to check steam charts and the game has gotten like max 20 players since 2015 when it released and had a peak of 500, made me sad

The base code for Minecraft is simple as frick you goddamn moron. He used APIs such as LWJGL for the basic 3D parts and never credited them. He stole the idea from Infiniminer. It's fine to do both these things, but then never credited them and acted if the idea was all his original OC do not steal, and then never gave either credit or in the case of LWJGL, never donated a fricking cent to their project even though Minecraft Java STILL uses their fricking code.
