I am still mad the TSC missions were only available for 3 or 4 days in the middle of a week, one time. They were cool and now they are seemingly gone forever. They weren't even available for the full amount of time they said they would be because the playerbase rushed the MO they were a part of.

Even multiplied by 4, it would have taken us much longer than this. The total kill counter on the galaxy map barely moved. 500 million kills would have been a pretty noticeable difference.
It was counting one kill as each of the players in the lobby doing it individually, basically multiplying the end result more than what should be counted. I don't think you need a non-completed major order to be active in order to play the game last I checked.

Yes. Even without the bug, the order would have been quick. The bug multiplied overall progress by a factor of 3 on average, so even if we assume there hadn't been that bug, the order would still only have lasted a bit over a day, instead of the six days they gave us.

How do I taper off my autocannon crutch??? I want to reliably take down dropships and titans in single shots but whenever I try using the recoiless, railgun or quasar whatever, I get absolutely fricked
I mess up railgun unsafe charges timing and it wrecks me, the recoiless feels like it's only being used just a few times, a drop ship always seems to spawn just as I shot something and by the time I've reloaded the recoiless, the damn thing shat out it's bots and left. The quasar takes so fricking to charge and I can never one shot hulks or titans with it but it downs all flying ships easy at least.
After a few hours with any of these I have low kills, died a lot and haven't been a proper asset for objectives in general. I'm always crawling back to the autocannon I just love blowing fabricators so easy and on good days I take down hulks with 2 eye shots, but often I whiff badly and eat shit then I switch to recoiless or the other heavy hitters because I want to take hulks, ships and titans down a lot better, but it's the same damn story everytime. Stick with autocannon, or consider AT weapon + scorcher/eruptor. In my experience most run either very horde-clear or very anti-tank builds. You complement both perfectly, taking out Spewers, Devastators, spawn points and the like. AC benefits both and can deal with all enemy types somewhat effectively.
However Scorcher/Eruptor are essentially AC-lites: a skilled player with Scorcher can quickly 2-tap devastators while leaving support slot open for anti-tank. They can also kill Striders and gunships. Eruptor is more AoE-friendly version with abysmal DPS.

and one diver killing 1k of them per hour
it should have taken only 12.5 hours
They just took the current numbers (about 20 billion bugs killed in 60 days since the game released) and divided them by 10. Of course, they completely missed the fact that there had been a lot of bot orders in those sixty days, and the fact that people weren't playing for kills.
are you saying that they couldn't have possibly killed 2 billion bugs in that time period? be very careful with how you apply that logic.
(realistically though, they can't even correctly track how many kills each player gets in an individual game, all of the tracking metrics are fricked so who knows what happened)

I get crashes too on my Intel/Nvidia box but it's entirely random. It used to happened more consistently when I had the game in fullscreen instead of borderless.
Well my loadout is Dominator, Grenade Pistol, Quasar, so it's usually faster to just beat a fricker to death than wait a year for the Dominator reload.
I use the eruptor and abuse the fact that reloading/meleeing/throwing nades doesn't slow down the fire rate.
Also lets you slightly push a single hunter back so you can get a better aoe shot that doesn't hit yourself.
I regularly get at least a couple on bugs because if I time a melee right on a hunter I can bop them on the nose and cuck their bullshit autoaim leap. This shit can even stagger stalkers, it's great and has absolutely saved my life on multiple occasions.

the civ evac mission is not hard, people are moronic. Bring smoke and/or EMS, focus on the buttons hard, when the base gets too spicy retreat and fight enemies in the outskirts for a few minutes, dump big dick orbitals into the base then send one player back in to press buttons.
It requires you to play differently than the other missions which is why people get hung up when they bring the same loadout as they would for a run around the map and kill bases mission, or the same as an exterminate enemies mission.
the only worthwhile advice i ever gotten was to hold the fire button all the time so it fires immediately and doesn't get the chance to un-lock, besides that it's a 50/50 on getting it to actually lock on to shit
High ground. If you ADS what you are aiming at has to fit in that screen without anything blocking it's shape, or the spear won't recognize it. That is also why you need to have a bit of distance to fire on your target.

How are you people hearing anything over voice comms at all? Every single mission I have played, without fail, regardless if I'm the host or not, has had all four players muted. We communicate through emotes, the gesture wheel, and text chat.
I take IMMENSE joy in joining random people's lobbies, waiting until extract, and once everyone is sitting in the pelican - I pull out my Senator and proceed to shoot each of them in the head as they sit there, unable to do anything except helplessly watch.
Automaton missions are almost relaxing after fighting neverending waves of bugs and getting your ass licked every minute, sometimes so forcefully you are sent flying and explode into gibs after colliding with a rock.
Automatons at least let you fricking disengage, with bugs it's just constantly being hunted and puked on.

I did my first diff 8 dive. HOW THE FRICK do you deal with this many bugs? I'm running a Sickle, maybe an Autocannon for the big ones, plus an orbital laser and an airstrike, and it doesn't seem nearly enough to thin out hordes fast enough to let us run and regroup. Then you're forced to fight them at objectives.
I don't know man, I've never encountered 3 Bile Titans and 6 Chargers with the usual crowd of endless hunters, stalkers, flying fricks, warriors, and spewers on the first breach.
At 8-9 if your squad isn't competent enough to kill off the enemy fast you fall into a reinforcement death-spiral where the only solution is to run away. Shit players fall into this trap and then stand their ground until they lose all lives. There are some situations where you just have to disengage

Its a downside only if you're moronic. You cannot follow a simple "if A, then B" formula (If nearby, then teammates may die). This isnt an issue with weapon, its an issue with you.

If someone takes Localisation Confusion kick them/leave. Its bugged and causes more patrols to spawn. If nobody took it and you still struggled get good and learn to run and gun, and juke bug attacks.
Go fast.
Patrol spawns increase over time and with objectives cleared.
So in the final 10 minutes with the objective complete, you get totally swamped and chain back to back breaches/drops.
I recommend the Incendiary Breaker over the Sickle against the bugs, you don't need precision, you need a frickoff wall of flaming shells covering a third of your screen.

Is there any way to predict the trajectory of stratagems? Sometimes Eagle attacks vertically, other times horizontally. The same can be said about airbursts and minigun barrages.
Airstrike, cluster and smoke are all horizontally from where you are to where you throw it, like a T, direction seems mostly random unless there's some other shit that can influence it
Strafing runs and rocket pods are vertically, always starting from behind you from where you throw it
Orbitals are influenced from where your super destroyer is, and its position is determined where you started the mission on, if you started it on the edge of the map the super destroyer will remain there for the rest of the mission

Bombing runs (Airstrike and Cluster (I think smoke too but I never use it)) are always perpendicular to where you were looking where you throw it, Strafing run is always straight away from the direction you were looking.

120mm is for small encampments, 340mm is for large ones. Use only for that. Laser is ultimate noob FUBAR recovery. Railcannon is supreme moron detection. Anyone using it is a complete moron. Precision Strike is 10/10 kills everything used by Real Chads. Gatling is for bug eradication missions. Combine with Airburst, Gas, and Airstrike to take out everything. Always be grabbing EATs thrown down by team. If team didn't bring EATs, leave team.

I bring both Autocannon and the disposable anti tank.
When you see a robot summong the dropship, you have enough time to summon down a disposable anti-tank rocket. One shot to the corner of one of those drop ship will down the entire ship from a disposable anti-tank rocket.
A face shot from the anti-tank rocket will also down a charger.
For the bile tanks, you gotta wait until they open their mouths and then you can one shot them with a anti-tank rocket.
Those fricking anti-tank rockets are so good. Their cooldown to summon more is pretty short too. Don't underestimate them.

Note: it isn't enough to hit their mouths or their faces. You have to specifically aim the rocket down their throats. It's a very precise angle and it only works just before the titan starts spitting bile, not mid-stream or when the Titan is just walking around.
i'm also trying to wean off the AC. I want to be a railgun main but I feel the need to at least take EAT as well and I end up feeling like a moron juggling weapons

I haven't used the autocannon yet but from what I'm reading, it basically does all the same shit as a grenade launcher. If true, is the slower reload and backpack slot worth it for having that same firepower at a longer distance?
The grenade launcher is an area of effect weapon. Fire it into swarms to rack up kills. The autocannon is a precision explosive weapon, the projectiles are practically hitscan and the explosion is much smaller. This means you can hit from much further away, especially against long-range targets like shrieker nests and spore spewers, and bot fabricators.
Alright practically hitscan, I didn't know it was that much more accurate.
Also I can't stop using the breaker. I know it's good, but I want to start using something longer range for bots as a primary instead of just using the AMR.
Sickle, Dominator, Scorcher, and Eruptor are the primaries I mostly use against bots.
Sickle has very low recoil and has an extremely high rate of fire. Very easy to take off devastator heads.
Dominator will stagger on hit, very nice for ruining heavy devastators' days. The stagger makes headshotting harder, but the explosive damage and jet propulsion tends to cleave whatever it hits, it can bisect devastators and berserkers if you aim for the waist.
Scorcher deals explosive area damage and can kill scout striders and shredder tanks from the front. Its shots are also very precise and it can stagger too, it just has a low magazine size.
Eruptor is new and deals distance explosive damage. Can kill scout striders from the front, and can instantly kill devastators if you blast off a leg, or bisect them at the waist.

Dominator will also kill a devastator in one hit if it is a headshot and it can deal with tanks and hulks if you shoot them in the radiator. Dominator is a great weapon against bots. Aiming feels slightly off tho, have been aiming between the scope crosshair and the green dot for the most part and that seems to work.
i dont think i have ever seen the liberator drone kill anything i haven't already shot to shit between it's reloads
similarly i have never once seen the laser drone overheat and return to backpack for cooldown, even on hell/desert planets
it seems like a total nobrainer to me which one to pick because the laser drone actually does work that i can see unlike the liberator drone

the game is not hard. at all. wasn't before they nerfed chargers for no reason other than tearful reddit babies too proud to admit they just aren't good enough at the game to win on high difficulty either. i play with 3 other 30-40 year old boomers, 2-3/4 of us are drunk most of the time we play and always doing stupid shit like splitting up across the map, one guy running around collecting super credits, one guy aggroing tons of unnecessary patrols and we still win 100% of the time. Sometimes we fail an extract but we've only actually lost about 3 times in hundreds of missions on difficulty 7-9.
The problem is some balance adjustments are good, but most seem like they're just fiddling around with numbers for no reason while half the roster is still in the dumpster. There's a list of guns that currently have no place in the game and there's no reason to ever bring them and they haven't done shit about them for months.
Except nobody is using the Slugger or the Railgun anymore because the nerfs WERE too steep and there is no reason to use either weapon now you moronic ESL bootlicker. It's clear you don't play the game at all, why bother posting when you could instead rope yourself in an attic you dumb homosexual?

It's still bad design. Good game design would have it so that a full charge in safe mode is good for taking out medium enemies like hunters and an overcharge in unsafe mode deals with heavy enemies like the charger. I'd argue that the Railgun was actually balanced and good before because the drawback to the safe mode power is the charge time and reload after every shot. Post nerf, you can only kill medium enemies with a full overcharge but a basic Liberator does the same job quicker and safer.

The railgun's one and only use is taking out fricking Hulks and anything below, and even then its not that great at it. EATs, Autocannon, Recoilless, Quasar, AMR, and even the fricking LASER CANNON are all miles better at almost fricking everything when fighting bots.
For frick's sake, it takes SIX unsafe shots to the thruster to take out a fricking gunship. SIX FRICKING SHOTS.
Slugger is still one of the better of the poorgay options so I see it around, but yeah it's 90% Sickle's and Erupter's out there now. Only for $20+tip or 20+ hours grinding!

The railgun really should damage engines and vents, there’s no excuse for it not to now. AH could just revert the nerf entirely and railgun would still be outclassed by autocannon, AMR, quasar, EAT, and eruptor. Eruptor in particular does EVERYTHING prenerf railgun did but also fires faster, has more ammo, is a primary, has AoE, and can destroy fabricators. There’s just no excuse for the railgun being this underpowered.

Handheld rail guns aren't a thing in real life so we have no idea what their battlefield role is other than "shoot bullet at Mach 1 speed at target and hope it kills it" for reference.
Get the module that fully replenishes support packs with a single resupply. Running empty and then calling a resupply only to not get you to full in a team of 4 is suffering. Once they fix spear lock on it will be the best module.

The weapons in the default battlepass are perfectly viable. Just play missions and you'll get medals for unlocks fairly quickly
Look out for personal orders, and caches on the map, for extra medals. You'll also get them passively as the community completes orders
Saving up for good stratagems is a must for new players, but many will be level gated if you're just starting out

Quasar sucks. Things can kill you easily in-between charges. Auto Cannon uses up a backpack slot and has terrible recoil per shot so dealing with multiple targets is not viable unless there's two people tag teaming each with an auto. If a weapon performs well in Texas of at least two the devs will never nerf it since teamwork is paramount to their game design.

Quasar is basically the only thing you CAN use on Verify Ore Vein missions, which are bugged to shit and will mass-spawn heavies constantly, even when you aren't at the objective. At any time in my previous missions there were at least THREE Bile Titans chasing the team at once, and those tanky motherfrickers are not easy to put down. Even Factory Striders are easier to kill. The Quasar is the only thing that worked to keep running from them while having enough firepower to damage them.
They got buck broken by the railgun nerf backlash. Bet after a year everything has been buffed to skies and they'll have to release difficulties up to 20 to compensate

Earlier a mission failed because we just couldn't extract, the extract marker didn't spawn.
Another mission failed because the mining ore scanner thing spawned and then collapsed as if it was done, softlocking the mission.
I see people get dropped and have to rejoin missions regularly in public games (where I'm not the host).
People still get dropped, disconnected, or otherwise counted as failing a mission despite completing it. At least you get all the samples and exp even if you F4 / crash / are dropped
These are just off the top of my head, at launch it was even worse.

The Eruptor's pushback depends on the player's direction variable, not the origin of explosion. If you shoot dead bugs or whatever reacts to the physics to the side, you'll see them slide away from you instead of sliding away from the source.
It's got explosion damage but the bullet physics of something like the Punisher.
I guess this explains why making contact with the explosion radius pushes you forward. Very funny.

I am still mad the TSC missions were only available for 3 or 4 days in the middle of a week, one time. They were cool and now they are seemingly gone forever. They weren't even available for the full amount of time they said they would be because the playerbase rushed the MO they were a part of.

Even multiplied by 4, it would have taken us much longer than this. The total kill counter on the galaxy map barely moved. 500 million kills would have been a pretty noticeable difference.
It was counting one kill as each of the players in the lobby doing it individually, basically multiplying the end result more than what should be counted. I don't think you need a non-completed major order to be active in order to play the game last I checked.

Yes. Even without the bug, the order would have been quick. The bug multiplied overall progress by a factor of 3 on average, so even if we assume there hadn't been that bug, the order would still only have lasted a bit over a day, instead of the six days they gave us.

Stick with autocannon, or consider AT weapon + scorcher/eruptor. In my experience most run either very horde-clear or very anti-tank builds. You complement both perfectly, taking out Spewers, Devastators, spawn points and the like. AC benefits both and can deal with all enemy types somewhat effectively.
However Scorcher/Eruptor are essentially AC-lites: a skilled player with Scorcher can quickly 2-tap devastators while leaving support slot open for anti-tank. They can also kill Striders and gunships. Eruptor is more AoE-friendly version with abysmal DPS.

I use the eruptor and abuse the fact that reloading/meleeing/throwing nades doesn't slow down the fire rate.
Also lets you slightly push a single hunter back so you can get a better aoe shot that doesn't hit yourself.

I regularly get at least a couple on bugs because if I time a melee right on a hunter I can bop them on the nose and cuck their bullshit autoaim leap. This shit can even stagger stalkers, it's great and has absolutely saved my life on multiple occasions.

You shoot the robots in eradicate missions, you dodge operations that have the 15 minute evacuate civilians mission.
the civ evac mission is not hard, people are moronic. Bring smoke and/or EMS, focus on the buttons hard, when the base gets too spicy retreat and fight enemies in the outskirts for a few minutes, dump big dick orbitals into the base then send one player back in to press buttons.
It requires you to play differently than the other missions which is why people get hung up when they bring the same loadout as they would for a run around the map and kill bases mission, or the same as an exterminate enemies mission.
Spearbros, any tips on using this? It's not very optimal but it's very satisfying when you can actually lock on...

the only worthwhile advice i ever gotten was to hold the fire button all the time so it fires immediately and doesn't get the chance to un-lock, besides that it's a 50/50 on getting it to actually lock on to shit
High ground. If you ADS what you are aiming at has to fit in that screen without anything blocking it's shape, or the spear won't recognize it. That is also why you need to have a bit of distance to fire on your target.

Automaton missions are almost relaxing after fighting neverending waves of bugs and getting your ass licked every minute, sometimes so forcefully you are sent flying and explode into gibs after colliding with a rock.
Automatons at least let you fricking disengage, with bugs it's just constantly being hunted and puked on.

I did my first diff 8 dive. HOW THE FRICK do you deal with this many bugs? I'm running a Sickle, maybe an Autocannon for the big ones, plus an orbital laser and an airstrike, and it doesn't seem nearly enough to thin out hordes fast enough to let us run and regroup. Then you're forced to fight them at objectives.
Skill issue. A host turned it up to 8 once when I had joined on another difficulty and I didn't even notice.
I don't know man, I've never encountered 3 Bile Titans and 6 Chargers with the usual crowd of endless hunters, stalkers, flying fricks, warriors, and spewers on the first breach.
At 8-9 if your squad isn't competent enough to kill off the enemy fast you fall into a reinforcement death-spiral where the only solution is to run away. Shit players fall into this trap and then stand their ground until they lose all lives. There are some situations where you just have to disengage

Making yourself de facto immune to being overwhelmed by scavengers and hunters immediately makes the Rover the best backpack in the game for bugs. Right now there is a guy asking how it's possible to not be swarmed while waiting for the quasar to charge.
. Answer? Rover. Stay ahead of your team, be aggressive, and NEVER stop moving, and the rover's friendly fire is minimized. Meanwhile, every time a bug breach forms, you get a free x50-x60 killstreak and close it by yourself while your team does the objective uncontested.

Tried bringing the quasar to a bug mission, how are you meant to sit still for the whole charge time while getting your balls tickled by every bug in a mile?

If someone takes Localisation Confusion kick them/leave. Its bugged and causes more patrols to spawn. If nobody took it and you still struggled get good and learn to run and gun, and juke bug attacks.

Patrol spawns increase over time and with objectives cleared.
So in the final 10 minutes with the objective complete, you get totally swamped and chain back to back breaches/drops.
I recommend the Incendiary Breaker over the Sickle against the bugs, you don't need precision, you need a frickoff wall of flaming shells covering a third of your screen.

Is there any way to predict the trajectory of stratagems? Sometimes Eagle attacks vertically, other times horizontally. The same can be said about airbursts and minigun barrages.
Airstrike, cluster and smoke are all horizontally from where you are to where you throw it, like a T, direction seems mostly random unless there's some other shit that can influence it
Strafing runs and rocket pods are vertically, always starting from behind you from where you throw it
Orbitals are influenced from where your super destroyer is, and its position is determined where you started the mission on, if you started it on the edge of the map the super destroyer will remain there for the rest of the mission
I swear when it comes to the airstrike specifically it is usually horizontally perpendicular to where you throw it, but the strafing angle will change slightly to fit the situation to ensure maximum carnage.
I have no actual evidence to back this up but I swear to get shit like picrel happens all the time for me. Eagle-chan is just that good.
Bombing runs (Airstrike and Cluster (I think smoke too but I never use it)) are always perpendicular to where you were looking where you throw it, Strafing run is always straight away from the direction you were looking.
Am I shit or are orbitals just kinda suck? The only one I find myself actually using is EMS sometimes. Eagle is just generally more reliable and isn't on a million year CD.

120mm is for small encampments, 340mm is for large ones. Use only for that. Laser is ultimate noob FUBAR recovery. Railcannon is supreme moron detection. Anyone using it is a complete moron. Precision Strike is 10/10 kills everything used by Real Chads. Gatling is for bug eradication missions. Combine with Airburst, Gas, and Airstrike to take out everything. Always be grabbing EATs thrown down by team. If team didn't bring EATs, leave team.

I mess up railgun unsafe charges timing and it wrecks me, the recoiless feels like it's only being used just a few times, a drop ship always seems to spawn just as I shot something and by the time I've reloaded the recoiless, the damn thing shat out it's bots and left. The quasar takes so fricking to charge and I can never one shot hulks or titans with it but it downs all flying ships easy at least.
After a few hours with any of these I have low kills, died a lot and haven't been a proper asset for objectives in general. I'm always crawling back to the autocannon I just love blowing fabricators so easy and on good days I take down hulks with 2 eye shots, but often I whiff badly and eat shit then I switch to recoiless or the other heavy hitters because I want to take hulks, ships and titans down a lot better, but it's the same damn story everytime. I know you have to shoot the titans mouth as it vomits but with the recoiless and railgun I frick it up every time.
Should I just count my losses and just stick to my lane as an autocannon main, was it easy for you guys to click into the heavy guns?

I bring both Autocannon and the disposable anti tank.
When you see a robot summong the dropship, you have enough time to summon down a disposable anti-tank rocket. One shot to the corner of one of those drop ship will down the entire ship from a disposable anti-tank rocket.
A face shot from the anti-tank rocket will also down a charger.
For the bile tanks, you gotta wait until they open their mouths and then you can one shot them with a anti-tank rocket.
Those fricking anti-tank rockets are so good. Their cooldown to summon more is pretty short too. Don't underestimate them.

Note: it isn't enough to hit their mouths or their faces. You have to specifically aim the rocket down their throats. It's a very precise angle and it only works just before the titan starts spitting bile, not mid-stream or when the Titan is just walking around.

I love the Eruptor and it's very good against bots but I had NO IDEA how much it trivializes bugs.

i've seen that happen a few times, i think what is really happening is the splash/shrapnel is hitting the legs when they lose their armor because of that one charger leg bug

I haven't used the autocannon yet but from what I'm reading, it basically does all the same shit as a grenade launcher. If true, is the slower reload and backpack slot worth it for having that same firepower at a longer distance?
The grenade launcher is an area of effect weapon. Fire it into swarms to rack up kills. The autocannon is a precision explosive weapon, the projectiles are practically hitscan and the explosion is much smaller. This means you can hit from much further away, especially against long-range targets like shrieker nests and spore spewers, and bot fabricators.
Alright practically hitscan, I didn't know it was that much more accurate.
Also I can't stop using the breaker. I know it's good, but I want to start using something longer range for bots as a primary instead of just using the AMR.
Sickle, Dominator, Scorcher, and Eruptor are the primaries I mostly use against bots.
Sickle has very low recoil and has an extremely high rate of fire. Very easy to take off devastator heads.
Dominator will stagger on hit, very nice for ruining heavy devastators' days. The stagger makes headshotting harder, but the explosive damage and jet propulsion tends to cleave whatever it hits, it can bisect devastators and berserkers if you aim for the waist.
Scorcher deals explosive area damage and can kill scout striders and shredder tanks from the front. Its shots are also very precise and it can stagger too, it just has a low magazine size.
Eruptor is new and deals distance explosive damage. Can kill scout striders from the front, and can instantly kill devastators if you blast off a leg, or bisect them at the waist.
I'll probably try dominator then, I'm close to 1000 SC and I'll probably go for SV first.

Dominator will also kill a devastator in one hit if it is a headshot and it can deal with tanks and hulks if you shoot them in the radiator. Dominator is a great weapon against bots. Aiming feels slightly off tho, have been aiming between the scope crosshair and the green dot for the most part and that seems to work.

Well, it does making easier to get headshots with the slower weapons and when Joel throws devastators at you, you make headshot oil wienertails.
i dont think i have ever seen the liberator drone kill anything i haven't already shot to shit between it's reloads
similarly i have never once seen the laser drone overheat and return to backpack for cooldown, even on hell/desert planets
it seems like a total nobrainer to me which one to pick because the laser drone actually does work that i can see unlike the liberator drone

the game is not hard. at all. wasn't before they nerfed chargers for no reason other than tearful reddit babies too proud to admit they just aren't good enough at the game to win on high difficulty either. i play with 3 other 30-40 year old boomers, 2-3/4 of us are drunk most of the time we play and always doing stupid shit like splitting up across the map, one guy running around collecting super credits, one guy aggroing tons of unnecessary patrols and we still win 100% of the time. Sometimes we fail an extract but we've only actually lost about 3 times in hundreds of missions on difficulty 7-9.
The problem is some balance adjustments are good, but most seem like they're just fiddling around with numbers for no reason while half the roster is still in the dumpster. There's a list of guns that currently have no place in the game and there's no reason to ever bring them and they haven't done shit about them for months.
Except nobody is using the Slugger or the Railgun anymore because the nerfs WERE too steep and there is no reason to use either weapon now you moronic ESL bootlicker. It's clear you don't play the game at all, why bother posting when you could instead rope yourself in an attic you dumb homosexual?

It's still bad design. Good game design would have it so that a full charge in safe mode is good for taking out medium enemies like hunters and an overcharge in unsafe mode deals with heavy enemies like the charger. I'd argue that the Railgun was actually balanced and good before because the drawback to the safe mode power is the charge time and reload after every shot. Post nerf, you can only kill medium enemies with a full overcharge but a basic Liberator does the same job quicker and safer.

The railgun's one and only use is taking out fricking Hulks and anything below, and even then its not that great at it. EATs, Autocannon, Recoilless, Quasar, AMR, and even the fricking LASER CANNON are all miles better at almost fricking everything when fighting bots.

The railgun really should damage engines and vents, there’s no excuse for it not to now. AH could just revert the nerf entirely and railgun would still be outclassed by autocannon, AMR, quasar, EAT, and eruptor. Eruptor in particular does EVERYTHING prenerf railgun did but also fires faster, has more ammo, is a primary, has AoE, and can destroy fabricators. There’s just no excuse for the railgun being this underpowered.

If you used the Railgun as a crutch prenerf than you don't deserve to be playing a co-op game. No one player should have that kind of firepower on demand without some weakness elsewhere. Get the module that fully replenishes support packs with a single resupply. Running empty and then calling a resupply only to not get you to full in a team of 4 is suffering. Once they fix spear lock on it will be the best module.

putting factor striders into every bot mission is funny as frick, the eradicate bots missions were starting to get too easy even at higher difficulties as a wall of mortars could basically hold them all back whereas factory striders just rape you
They should have a medium pen weak point that isn't the stomach. Bot loadouts are just the same as bug ones now that you need to penetrate heavy armour more than anything else.

The weapons in the default battlepass are perfectly viable. Just play missions and you'll get medals for unlocks fairly quickly
Look out for personal orders, and caches on the map, for extra medals. You'll also get them passively as the community completes orders
Saving up for good stratagems is a must for new players, but many will be level gated if you're just starting out

Quasar sucks. Things can kill you easily in-between charges. Auto Cannon uses up a backpack slot and has terrible recoil per shot so dealing with multiple targets is not viable unless there's two people tag teaming each with an auto. If a weapon performs well in Texas of at least two the devs will never nerf it since teamwork is paramount to their game design.

Having some startup time for the shots is the only problem it has but having infinite ammo and not having to reload at all is so good in diff 9 that it's not even a debate if it's the best option.
Quasar is basically the only thing in the game that should be nerfed, RR is very balanced and cool to use
Quasar is basically the only thing you CAN use on Verify Ore Vein missions, which are bugged to shit and will mass-spawn heavies constantly, even when you aren't at the objective. At any time in my previous missions there were at least THREE Bile Titans chasing the team at once, and those tanky motherfrickers are not easy to put down. Even Factory Striders are easier to kill. The Quasar is the only thing that worked to keep running from them while having enough firepower to damage them.
They got buck broken by the railgun nerf backlash. Bet after a year everything has been buffed to skies and they'll have to release difficulties up to 20 to compensate

The slugger nerf was moronic because they immediately buffed the dominator to fill the role, and then they released even stronger weapons anyway. You will see a slugger user once in a blue moon now. Buffing weapons overall is fine if they keep adding stronger enemies like the strider fab.

Scorchers busted fire damage doesn't work otherwise I agree it's my favorite shotgun using dominator now

so I have a technical issue, I use a Bluetooth headset for all games, I have a usb adapter for Bluetooth connection. I have no game audio when I boot the game and it happens only with this game. So I have to use some other shitty wired headphones and it works then. There's nothing in the settings to change the output. Anyone had it too?
when my friend had audio issues with this game, he resolved it by going into windows device manager and ensuring either his headset was the system default, or that all other audio sources were disabled. worth a try i guess

I had to leave a negative review. The literal bugs are too much.
I'm typing this message right now because people on my team are physically incapable of respawning due to a reinforcement bug.
Earlier a mission failed because we just couldn't extract, the extract marker didn't spawn.
Another mission failed because the mining ore scanner thing spawned and then collapsed as if it was done, softlocking the mission.
I see people get dropped and have to rejoin missions regularly in public games (where I'm not the host).
People still get dropped, disconnected, or otherwise counted as failing a mission despite completing it. At least you get all the samples and exp even if you F4 / crash / are dropped
These are just off the top of my head, at launch it was even worse.

The bugs in the game are plentiful and very annoying, but calling HD2 broken is dishonest. The devs DO need to focus their attention on fixing bugs before they worry about more content.
Nah, the game is very much broken for people. It's broken and unfinished, which is worse than just being broken since the devs break MORE things every patch instead of fixing things.

order the international copy from playasia or buy it using a Singaporean burner account, the menu's are fully translated and it has english dub and subs. there's literally no reason it shouldn't be available (on PS5 at least) in the west since it has functionally been done since it's initial release date before the delay

The results show it as a successful mission but it also ended up counting as a failed campaign. Very nice.

Man. Why even have the cool setpiece to plant a hellbomb when you don't realistically ever need to be near these things? Makes me appreciate Gunship fabricators for being priority target pains in the ass.
The Eruptor's pushback depends on the player's direction variable, not the origin of explosion. If you shoot dead bugs or whatever reacts to the physics to the side, you'll see them slide away from you instead of sliding away from the source.
It's got explosion damage but the bullet physics of something like the Punisher.
I guess this explains why making contact with the explosion radius pushes you forward. Very funny.
