i generally play on difficulty 7 and i didn't bother doing it again after that

Pretty sure this is exactly what is happening, and i get what they're trying to do but it kinda sucks because it just means we have to keep killing bugs until they decide to make the bots possible to kill again
it's also ballsy as frick, because between the connection problems and now the bots being really fricking hard to fight against right now, people are gonna refund or just drop the game outright.
Dunno, diff 4 seems fine, normies are just too slow to adapt and I don't have competent friends to test anything past diff 4. It's a defense mission, so you must pick stratagems appropriately. You need to bring enough firepower to quickly deal with all the bots and open the path for refugees. I think you can manage diff 6 with just mortars and HMGs. Don't know what's happening at suicide and higher though.

Try crouching when you shoot, your accuracy improves. I'm able to shoot the frickers out of the walkers from the front with the SMG by crouch shooting

Everyone keeps fricking up the personnel rescue missions, best way I've found to do it is three squadmembers away from the objective acting as a lure for drop ships while the fourth runs around and presses buttons, every rando group I play with insist of treating it like a massive fighting slog fest and nothing gets done

just spam buttons off CD. Ive been using mortar/autocannon sentry/ railgun/500 kg if that helps. saving 500 kg for tanks and focusing on railgunning the hulks > rocket robots > shield robots

What are some good weapons to buy early on? I'm just starting this and the starting gun feels like a water gun.
I bought the shotgun first and it was better than the starting gun. Then I bought the marksman rifle and it felt like a weaker starting gun with even less ammo.
The breaker shotgun is the best weapon in the game but I reccommend you try everything else out so you get the experience before said breaker shotgun ruins you on all the other guns.

Starter AR is good, stop shooting bugs so much - the small ones die much faster than you think, SMG is good, DMR is good for bots, laser rifle is good for bots I guess it has little feed back and then the bots fall over, plasma is garbage

As much as Shotguns are powerful, I am still sticking to the R-63 Diligence, with max scope you can make sure no borgs pop any flares or bugs make a swarm hole. And I always prefer long range cover fire role in shooters.

you get the 'premium battlepass' about half way through the built-in battle pass. You will get it faster if you focus on searching for hidden caches on the map. Most of the unlocks in the premium is garbage designed to bait you away from the real progression.
yes, battle passes, at least the premium ones, don't expire. you can earn 3/4s of the premium pass through unlocks in the free one and you can earn the rest by exploring mission maps

A single RR or EAT to the leg and then finish it with your primary or waste a second shot. You knock off the armor and shoot the exposed flesh. The ass is a waste of ammo in my onion with how fast leg shots kill. You can also blow off the armor off the side/top and get the same result as the legs of very few shots to kill.
You can do the same with the autocannon but from the front you’ll have a hard time landing hits on legs without it bouncing off, from the side it only takes 2-3 shots to a leg to destroy the armor.
Drives me nuts that two shots to the ass don't take those frickers down. Good to know, I'll stick to the legs, I noticed the medium armored bugs also go down faster from leg shots.

Maybe it's better if you're playing with friends but the endless waves combined with randoms seemingly not understanding that they need to push a button to make civilians show up, or that they need to escort the civilians, or that they need to shoot enemies in general, makes things really shitty. With friends it's an above average horde shooter where you travel around together mowing down hordes and capturing objectives. Objectives you capture contribute to a gloabl campaign that all the players on the server are working towards. Hence why some anons are talking about how scary the new robot-invaded planets are -- we're all working together to complete missions and help repulse the bots from our previously controlled territory.
Overall very fun. I think the solo experience (with randoms) Is fun too but get some good bros together and you'll have an unironic blast.

Customization is good -- you can build your own loadout pretty effectively, and that's bolstered by strategems. Effectively in a game you hit CTRL and you punch in a few keyboard commands and you can call down any number of weapons from your ship in orbit above the planet. You can customize your build with different loadouts. Some anons go heavy on turrets or mines; I chose an anti-material rifle, jetpack, and walking barrage for heavily infested areas. There are TONS of strategems to unlock and use, and you do this via playing and ranking up. Some people prefer orbital bombardment, some prefer to call in close air, some just invest in infantry-carrayable weapoons you call down (such as the recoiless rifle).
Some other anon can step in and explain strategems better then I can probably.
Armor can be customized too, and each piece you buy gives you an augment. I'm running armor that gives me 2 extra stims (health packs) on my loadout. Some guys go with armor that gives you extra nades. It's really what's best for the mission and your play style.

I was doing extreme and suicide missions cyborgs last few days. Wanted to ease into it on hard mode, but holy shit this has to be bugged. Either that or devs are just trying to force their campaign narrative of IMPOSSIBLE INVASION YOU'RE GOING TO LOSE, which is just wasting my time. Would be nice to see some stats after game, too. I'd love to see how many drop ships there were. I would imagine over 20 drop ships in the 15 minutes we spent burning through 20 reinforcements. We even moved to the edge of the map to get away from the dozens of hulks, and there was a patrol that spawned just go summon in more drop ships.
What's faster, holding down sprint when out of stamina or slowing down until it regenerates before sprinting again?

Kernel mode anti cheat is not a great tool and this one in particular didn't really do all that much to prove itself.
I know people fearmonger about kernal mode anti cheats but this one in particular is serious. It's not some newly made one but a decade old one that had a history with controversy. There was drama about it monitoring your PC on startup in South Korea. It edits your registry so you have to manually fricking go in them and remove it yourself if you ever want to uninstall Helldiver 2. Tons of false positives and reports of BSOD. If you want to read it up, just look up "nprotect gameguard" tons of old forums with people talking about it.

Both, really. Darktide/L4D in terms of "move together, don't trigger patrols, kill specials asap or get ASSRAPED by 10 of them" on the higher difficulties. EDF in terms of pure alien genocide chaos, everyone gets Air Raider call-ins with Safety: ALWAYS OFF (one of the guns' toggles, in place of auto/semi auto, is literally safe/unsafe).
It's closer to EDF than L4D or Darktide but it's not EDF. It's half Starship Troopers, half the future war against the machines in Terminator.

Blue is clearly the Helldiver support. When you take other planets, it goes from orange to blue. Red is the terminator color, so they have more planetary ground than the Helldivers. I assume whichever is bigger at the end of the timer will be the outcome

Robots are weak to headshots. Pop most of the robots once in their glowing eyes and you're good.
I go DMR, walking barrage, anti-material rife (for the walkers and big bois) and jet pack. I have a lot of mobility wwhen the melee bots come running at me.
They are fricking tough tho, no way around that.

This is what makes me think it's bugged, as well. The regular missions that are on every other planet are the same as always. If there was supposed to be some narrative about how impossible the invasion is and the difficulty was on purpose, then the whole thing should be ball busting hard. So it's either the escort missions are bugged right now for being too hard, or the other missions are bugged for being too easy. There is no balance. Plus I've seen a drop ship run right into the ground and knock a teammate away, which definitely was bugged pathing. Something doesn't seem right

The game doesn't tell you this but there's usually one robot in the group that fires off a flare to call down reinforcements. Also if you are getting CONTINUAL bot drops there's a detector nearby.

Not for the event defense escort mission. Drop ships trigger as soon as you reach the area automatically. There are still patrols that scout around the edges, as well, so those can also signal more drop ships. But there's no stopping them for this event mission.

Yes. Yes. Stalwart is my choice, but I use neither now so no clue what use case the MG is for.
Bugs have spawn % that seem to be seeded to every mission you go on. So you can go high difficulty missions where there are 0 Bile Titans and then have one I just had where there were literally 14, but 0 Bile Spewers.
MG is much better than Stalwart. Shreds anything but heavy armor in a second.
Stalwart has no penetration, MG has high penetration. Stalwart is a downgrade that's just the starter AR with more ammo

replace the autoturret with the 180mm barrage
that shit loves landing on teammates and they cant do anything to dodge it
switch out the auto turret for the 300mm orbital or whatever that one is before the walking barrage. The range is so spread out that you will have a nice day with it along with your teammates

Yes just hit it on one of the four different engines. They move quick and fast, so it's best to let them come to a stop.

That's just from missions. In the battlepass you can get like 300 from the first few pages.
Also, there's a free battlepass where you can get SC and a "premium" one you can buy with SC (you also get some SC back too)

I think some things are glitched with the statagem ball. If you throw an eagle at a factory, it sticks. If you throw an eagle at one of those cyborg turret towers, it bounces off. It's a great way to waste a 500kg since the blast radius is pretty bad even if it's powerful.

From what I've experienced, just having a helldiver sit on each of the 3 buttons and pump out civs asap before you get overrun is the way to go.
Makes having less firepower even worse.
They are pussies because you still gotta finish the whole section. Even if you lose that, there's 2 other sections you can win at and still get more victory points. If anything do the first 2 missions that are fine, then just fail the civ escort right away.
