Well, no, because now that I fire the Quasar half as many times as I used to each fight, everyone in the party is required to take one in order to defeat armor. This isn't some kind of quirky MMO with DPS meters, the armored enemies must be dealt with or everyone dies to them. And nobody wants to take the Recoilless Rifle or EATS when they both feel worse to fire than the Quasar. So really, this just returns us to the era of mandating that every squadmate takes an anti-armor weapon. A lot of patch notes come out yet the same problem still remains.
Good thing about bots is you can just walk away or kite walkers from shit and basically skillshot everything else. Bug gays probably have it rough and need infininade.

Because it's a balancing act of challenge and fun as opposed to just being a sandbox, hence why people play helldive and not just suicide despite having the exact same content, just more enemies. Buffing all weapons in essence just reduces difficulty, so you might as well just make enemies weaker or less numerous. You also need weapons to feel proportionally strong to what they do. There's not much point to a pump action shotgun that kills in one shot if it's immediately compared to the assault rifle next to it that also kills in one, and there really isn't a way to make them "equal" without reducing the assault rifle to not kill in one shot.

When it came to DRG I've sunk tons of time with them at least a couple hundred, and I played like 100+ hours with one of my friends on Monster Hunter World. It's just Darktide didn't seem to stick around so long and I don't have high hopes for Helldivers 2 faring better considering the current state of the game.

you can always boot it up for quick match, or you can go for a long match and get immerssed.
Its not that great for playing all day long, its more good for a one hour session here and there

If you find the boobies (I don't know what they are) that explode, you can shoot them while diving to get flung 100-150 feet. Great escape plan and catch-up tool.

In the personnel evac missions, you used to be able to grab loads of rare samples instead of doing the mission itself, and they'd come in clusters of 9+, so it was easy to find them all. You'd fail the mission on purpose just to grind out 30 commons, 30 rares, and however many supers. Now it's just 10 commons and the supers.

I disagree because the arc blitzer can kill armored units much easier.
With the punisher I have to aim between the feet of hive guard and can't do much to bile spewers.
The blitzer just kills hive guards and can reliably stagger a bile spewer off its spit and kill them with 4 headshot hits.
Plus the spread means you can effectively hold a position (assuming no charger/bile titan comes) indefinitely while a punisher will give way when you need to reload.
The advantage the punisher has is that its better at killing shrieks (which it isn't amazing but also not too bad at it).
Maybe its better at killing the pouncers but I haven't had a pouncer map since the update to test.
I didn't really think about vs armored bugs, but yeah I can see that being the case. Normally I like to pair the punisher with something like the HMG or GL for the medium bugs, so I didn't consider that.

4 was just the the number that seemed to be most consistent when I was playing.
Though initially it was taking a bit more because I was circling them and some were hitting the sides not the head.
Backing up seems to be more consistent as it keeps the head in front.
The one thing that did annoy me is that if the bile spewer goes into its artillery mode you can't hit the head and it takes forever to break the sac.

Are you not having fun with extra deadly melt you by smelling it fire? How about a game mechanic that "randomly" deflects 1% of your rounds straight back into your face. Maybe you need more though. Just upgrade your ship modules, it probably won't change anything but you can spend resources. Just make sure you use light armor and close range weapons to play the way you want us to want you to play.

The Spear was inconsistent about killing them since the beginning. Even if your Spear shot hit a BT's head it wouldn't necessarily kill it. If it failed to land on a Charger's head, it also wouldn't kill it.

They fixed the spear's reload animation so that you don't have to restart from the beginning every time you have to interrupt it.

Adjudicator went from absolute trash worst of the worst to just a sub-optimal gun. Recoil is fine if crouched/prone and in armor, but the damage and mag size is not commiserate. A dominator or scorcher will be better. It just isn't worth it because those two do better. So I am sure eventually either will continue to get nerfed because bork bork bork meatballers can't decide if this game is some roguelike ballbuster or not.

I don't expect it'll be -killed- dead, to like sub 1000 players, and frankly if they keep belting out content then they will be able to keep it fairly lively (What's there to compete gainst? Darktide lmao?). Honestly my complaints are just that - you can see the incredible potential and FUN of the game, so anger at the devs is "why are you guys ruining such a great product". This nerf-cycle was not as apocalyptic as it could have been but there's still a feeling of "Yeah adding +5 piddly damage and then 50% less magazines or dramatically cutting back explosion radius" is not balance. I don't want an artificial cycle of buff-nerf to vary things up, but at a minimum just make sure a patch has a lot of really nice buffs so people have new toys to re-try rather than just something they like getting gimped. I forget which nerf cycle it was that did that, I think the breaker where the laser cannon and somethign else got buffed so it wasn't just "yeah this gun sucks now that's it k bye".
They just need to get their head out of their ass and make the RR support reloads be possible from the gunner's own backup. Which, given meatball code, probably isn't possible lel lmao.

When we were doing the new terminid mission today, not knowing what to expect, the initial silence of it all made it feel like a horror-stalker game. That would be a pretty fricking cool planet mutation: just stalkers, much much stronger but also lower in volume. So you end up feeling like it's predator or xenomorphs.
hopefully they actually learn and have a buff update as they do seem like they may learn, at least the devs although it seems like the community managers are being smarmy gays about it. Shot a hiveguard with an eruptor from well outside of Eruptor shrapnel range and I died instantly through 150 AR + Fortified armor the same frame the direct hit flinched the hiveguard. It's sadly real.

You could say the same with every weapon. Bile spewers usually come in packs and you'll be completely out of ammo for your sickle if you're wasting shots instead of using a grenade or a different weapon entirely.

Reminder they indirectly nerfed the AC and by extension all explosive weapons due to the new ricochet mechanic. This new mechanic allows shrapnel to bounce back but the problem is that it is also homing and kills you 99% of the time or other players. Not mentioned in the patch notes btw. Fricking homosexual devs were too scared to post a AC nerf

Your aim is probably shit, it's happend to me three times vs hulks with the AC, and 5+ on shield frickers when I missed the head and clipped the shield.

If your aim is shit and you miss terribly instead of only a little bit you don't get the same ricochets. The flat part on the edge of the weakspot is what reflects 180 degrees.
Same with the shield, which is far easier to hit due to there being so many more of them.
Still can't get over how shit the scythe is even with the buff. I would prefer it to have way more damage but worse heat sinks if it would let me kill scavengers faster than they could crawl to me.

Just toyed with the adjudicator and it feels good to use but I don't think it's fantastic. You chew through ammo pretty quickly but effortlessly killing hiveguards and one shotting scavs feels good. Haven't fought bots yet with it.

Shield frickers almost always reflect 180 if theyre facing you dead on, absolute nightmare, 30mm explosive shells don't do that irl unless they go through something, in which case they should explode unless really unlucky.
When trying to snipe hulk headshots I've had it happen once already. I main AC so it's been a kick in the nuts, alongside the other minor nerfs it's got indirectly to other bots.
Anyone that says 180 ricochets are realistic need shooting, they exist as a rarity, most will bury into the armor or shatter, but even the rare ones that do penetrate but get flung around 180degrees not this common, video games have mobs that are directly 0 degrees facing us due to coding limitations so yeah of course it will happen more in a game.

The Laser Guard Dog is actually bugged and has infinite ammo.
The MG Guard Dog is how they're both supposed to be.
But the Laser infinite ammo is a hardcoded glitch they can't fix yet so they're handling it like they handled fire damage and just leaving it as-is and nerfing it until enough people complain.

If you're struggling with that you can try hit the charger with the drop itself.
Apparently the stratagem balls attach to chargers but I've not tried yet.
Either way 1 shot every 35s and needing to call it in every time is still inferior to the quasar, even with the nerf.
My biggest issue with 8-9 preciously used to be permanent heavies that I don't have the ammo to take out so I had to rely on baiting then into 500kg, which isn't the easiest for me yet.
Also playing on PS5 is aids, controllers just can't deal with the enemies with the same point click ammo efficiency, especially with all the controller feedback. Apparently turning on gyro aiming helps, but idk I guess I like to sit on my side to play sometimes.

You eventually get to the point where the 5s reload is trivially easy to get (especially since it can be staggered!)
In a practical sense- with randos- I delete Chargers/Hulks the moment they are seen, with a BT taking 6s to down depending on if my ritual sacrifices are accepted by arrow head, 12s if not

I really wanted to like the Quasar, but not only does it have baked in cooldown- you have to keep your aim steady for 5s...

Yeah its a stationary reload- but staggering it allows you to dodge and dive the EXACT same way one does with a Quasar (albeit with a higher skill ceiling)
On harder difficulties I regularly packdump my RR with few complaints by the team about resupply hording(A BT hasn't spewed once in the 30 min helldive/the Gunship towers have mysteriously disappeared)

I play normally, usually on Helldive. We always do full map clears.
the free warbond gets you 750 credits, you also should have 300 for each war bond in general. you can get on average around 30-50 super credits per normal 40 minute mission. its quite easy to rack up credits

I also have over 2000 SC ready for future purchases with only 150 hrs of playtime total. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Dude they set a very generous pick up rate for medal and super credit comparing the standard you see in other live service game. You should be able to earn everything at a decent rate, if are not a boomer with 3 kid or a wagie. If anything the super credit it more of a normie/wagie tax. It took them month to finally patch out the SC farm exploit, and even then it wasn’t fully removed. They also didn’t ban anyone who obviously abuse the shit out of it, since they can easily check whether buy them or use exploit gather SC as a ridicules rate. Does the flame ship module increase direct spray damage on the FW? I was told the FW cone doesn't actually deal fire damage and that's why it works for non hosts.
There's a difference between the direct fire damage (when holding down the trigger) and the fire DoT (when an enemy/player is on fire). The module only buffs the latter and the latter is still bugged and only works for the host.
We've heard your concerns over flame hulks doing too much damage and have fixed the issue by reducing fire damage.

I crashed 7 time yesterday.
Every single time I was in a t7 bot ice world, was sniping bots with my sickle halfway across the map on a crossfire for my team, and could see a dead enemy that had decided to become stretched out into the sky a little bit, glitching a lovely no texture purple.
Every single time it was 30m into a mission, I was hoarding the samples because crossfire sniping is safer and I always end up with 2.5x the kills of my team, kill all the small bots so they can't call in bot drop, and kill half their heavies with a quasar.
No it's not my PS5, the game is just unable to handle those ranges sometimes for some reason anymore.

1 person always disconnects too 15mins in every single game even if I'm not host kek, I rarely leave a game with all 4 that I started with.
I'm not enjoying the increased spawn rate of mobs either, someone said were getting twice the breach and drop rates too, alongside a 56% increase in patrols for solo and I feel it, I get absolutely swarmed on bugs regardless of where I drop now too on some planets before I can even consider stealth, getting that under control or escaping with random is tough even on 7 that I dropped down to recently so I tried solo, which also got "nerfed".
I get the idea of linear scaling, but I don't have all the buffs of a 4 man squad or the adaptability of 4 guys specialised loadouts, so solo is becoming a bit too difficult at the moment for me, combined with the extra drops and it's a bit nutty.
Either way, patch is aids.

Apparently we are playing the game wrong by having fun shooting robots and bugs. Apparently we are supposed to suffer and constantly be aggravated by stupid game mechanics that insta-kill us at random.
it's really such a disorienting change - one that I feel is currently understated. I can't imagine one person who thought "hmm, you know what's missing? constant threat of death if you don't hit an enemy's weakspot."
I feel genuinely confused how such a change not only entered a developer's mind, but was actually implemented through the spaghetti code that prevents simple changes like the spear's lock on function to remain unfixed for months. The person who made the change had a vision, and that vision was player suffering.

I found the counter sniper is slower to move too, with the diligence I have no problem quickly moving from target to target but with the counter it takes a moment longer for the circle to meet the dot.

I just don't understand why randoms have to shoot every patrol they see, like a dog going after a squirrel
i made the mistake today of accidentally aggroing a patrol because someone perpendicular to it marked the patrol like they were going after it, but then they turned and ran at the last minute just as my quasar hit it.
not teamkilling is easy.
think a single second before you do something and the results will be much more effective.
The only excusable teamkill is getting ragdolled while trying to throw a stratagem

Picture if they made a patch change called "added chuck's suck and frick", and you know what its going to turn into, and you know what the devs are going to patch it into, but no one else knows what is going to become of it because it'll be a very subtle change. So, do you enjoy it while it lasts or do you rightfully call the devs out for adding something they knew they would have to change because everyone knows they will have to change it except people who don't get it.

Yes it does. AMR also 2 shots ine the face, no need to waste stuns unless its a rocket hulk. Go prone just as flame one lights up the flamer before burst.

Problem here prob was the bug at the start is following you and the sentry will try to zap it right as its at the last stair up and youre in between them at that point.
Works on flat ground for me ezcept when bugs get close. Which is why I dont use the zappy turret sadly.
sentries have a modifier to track helldivers, mark my words
I would not be suprised considering the cluster launcher triggering from everything between helpod lids to a secered finger. Propably your own models legs when prone too lol.
I have to admit that firing it, realizing the range of the cluster, and subsequently dying was hilarious. Sort of like when my AC turret ragdolls me, I can't help but laugh.
