It’s simple they have to remove the armor level system and make any weapon damage armor until it pierces and the deals damage to health. Low caliber should take a long time to pierce like 3-4 clips while high calibers should pierce easily. Simple.
I regret not buying this warbond, now I have to farm to get this or spend $10 but I rather not directly incentivize the devs with their shitty "balancing" patches.
I miss PS2's guns so much. I would KILL for a CARV or Gauss SAW primary in this game. The weapon balance is a lot better too, there's like 10x more guns and you can make an argument to use any one of them in different situations.
This is basically the Black person shooter of robots. It's amazing just deleting an entire column of berserkers and devestators with ease. My only complaint is whoever thought that puff of smoke going over the crosshairs in first person was a good idea should kill thenself NOW.

If your team is only doing the objective you will stoll come across 4-7 poi's a game that are basically in front of you, IF they're clearing all the nests then they're pretty much walking the entire map, in which case all of the POI'S are rarely out of reach.
Do POI's, they're useful for ammo grenades and stims if nothing else.

The Dominator and Breaker Incendiary are both great primaries and the Senator is decent if you like revolvers.
The only other currently worthwhile premium weapon is the grenade pistol in Democratic Detonation but it's not worth 1000 SC.

Incendiary spray&pray shotgun, after the fire dot fix and buffs its a damn good primary.
Dominator has been buffed since its inception good splash damage and can take out medium units no problems and has replaced a lot of players primary choice.
Illuminate were by far the least played against faction in HD1 because of how annoying they were. Looking at the design and balance choices of HD2 I'd bet that they'll be even more annoying in this one. The first week or two will have a large influx of players before a sudden drop as people go back to fighting bugs 24/7

We need a big ass Vulcan Raven esque ammo backpack strategem where you manually reload the weapon once to strap a belt to your current bullet using weapon on hand, and you can use your entire ammo apply for that weapon without needing to reload it. (Belt attach speed is directly tied to thw weapons normal reload speed).

it sounds nice on paper, but HD2 community is toxic as frick and it only takes a few minutes to remember why 85% of everyone is playing solo or 2/4. Vets don't give a shit and would happily wipe everyone off the map if it meant finishing wrapping things up 30 seconds earlier. People want to play with others, but other people are probably gonna frick things up even worse. The two biggest problems with the game are balancing and the playerbase.
Just host. I do nothing but host and it's just way better, and naturally you get other people more interested in actually sticking things out because (you) the stable host actually give people who want to a chance to stick around.
I have high standards, and I won't lower them for 3rd worlders. If PSN Account Protection™ was in place I might be more trusting, unfortunately I was lied to by the devs. There's a reason people say they don't have a mic. They're hiding something about themselves they don't want you to know.
A single mission can easily take 40 minutes, that's at least a 90 minute commitment for an operation. I don't want to play for that long, I'm already starting to get burned out on the game.
There's no downtime in a mission. You're either fighting or running to the next fight, and outside of really low difficulties even a tiny skirmish can snowball into WW3. You never get a chance to relax. I need to alt tab and scroll Ganker or twatter for a few minutes after a mission.
I'd kill for a mission type that was like a 1/3rd the number of bugs, but they were mostly heavies. Getting swarmed for 30 minutes straight is exhausting.
I noticed it after the patch or a bunch of weapons were nerfed recently, plus the loading screen hitches and chugs more now. I still run good once I'm in game, but yeah like you said, longer load times.

Ensure you only have one input source in windows audio settings. Check to see it works in Windows in various other software, but this looks to be working for you as you stated other games it works fine. Check the HD2's setting for audio and make sure it only see the one mic input and it is selected, change the press to talk to open mic and see if it works that way and then set it back to press to talk or w/e you prefer.
I know I stumbled upon an issue with the mic after the last patch, the game would mute both me and my friend after he selected a mission and we got into our hellpods to drop we both thought each other's mic was set to mute and so we played the game in silence and then after several minutes the game fixed itself and we were able to hear each other again.
I need to know if all of the guns in the new warbond are based before I think about dropping money on that shit, or if the AR is finally good at least.

They are all side grades or downgrades from existing weaponry, and the weaponry and question are generalist, all rounders so you're not getting any new kind of functionality like you would be with something like the erupter or grenade pistol. The booster is the best part of the bond, but you can honestly pass on that as well. This is probably the weakest war bond released to date and I can safely say that you can completely skip it and not miss anything that you don't already have.

If you want more damage than the default semi-automatic pistol but you don't want to deal with the clunkiness of the revolver. I'm actually looking forward to unlocking it to see what the 125 damage breakpoint actually means. I assume it will one shot scavengers, but if it can kill bigger enemies in two shots, I'll actually bring it along on some things.
Same, once you realize that you can kill two mooks in one shot by aiming between them if they're close together, the biggest downside of it is negated (handling large groups). It was one of the first weapons I've unlocked and it's still 70% of my primary playtime after unlocking everything.

Not him, they changed map generation on 1/2 and added a new type above that (the kind with the large amounts of tiny randomly shaped water pools) and both spawn very few POIs. The latter can also spawn the caved in POIs that used to only show up at higher difficulties.
I hope they extend the existing passes at some point instead of continuously pump them out monthly

There is literally illuminate models and animations in the game right now. That and there being multiple testimonys along with videos of players being sniped by a blue laser doesnt leave much doubt that they have them in as a rare easter egg.
Now why a player hasnt killed one yet even just by collateral makes me think they must be invincible when they spawn to shoot one powerful shot and then leave.

As long as they're not wasting tickets I let them be, because there can only ever be one breach(s) per map at any one time so it makes my life doing the objectives/POI's significantly easier because the risk of breach is far less when I clear that compound.
It's only detrimental on geological survey maps and evacuation, because they have breaches you can't avoid.
Unless you're getting fricked up spawns, two guys cycling EAT call ins is enough anti armor for difficulty 7 at the least. If your team is even slightly coordinated this means your other two guys can bring some wave clear like a grenade launcher or auto cannon instead of a 4th fricking quasar.
I unlocked and tried the slugger and it's so, so bad. Takes 2 shots to kill anything above a scavenger and doesn't stun things coming at you like the punisher does. Dropped it faster than anything else up to now and went back to the punisher.
Anyways, look at this sick 48 kill airstrike I got.
Very few people will bother saying the slugger is worth a damn, it's that poor. I didn't even use it before the nerf and it's obvious it's completely lackluster.
But now it doesnt stagger shit along with needing double the slugs to kill any enemy worth a damn. Why they decided to fricking wreck the weapon instead of choosing one is beyond me.

Lazy and/or incompetent to do stuff like that since penetration dropoff isn't coded in by default so they'd have to implement it.
It's why they can't do anything about specific gun weakpoint modifiers because that's not a thing explicitly tied to the gun.

Incredibly useful. Against bots allows you to hold off berserker swarms and hit weakpoints easier when they do get staggered, effectively increasing damage output anyway. Against bugs you can keep hunters/stalkers staggered and away from tonguing your anus, something only the Punisher could do effectively previously.
I haven't decided yet if I like the Punisher or the Pummeller more vs. bugs but it's nice to finally have an alternative.

SOMETHING is going to be the most versatile thing. If they nerf it, people will find another general use workhorse to bring to missions because you have to have something that destroys heavy armor and encampments. It doesn't 1HK0 titans/striders unless you luck out and every single one hits (and even then, it's iffy) and it isn't even guaranteed to take out chargers and hulks. It's fine how it is now.

I agree but think about it, no other orbital/eagle is as fast, reliable, both pinpoint and generous and can kill virtually everything
The guy I was originally responding to asked a hypothetical, and given Arrowheads track record, Eagle Airstrike is the most likely candidate for a nerf because it's good at everything and doesn't have any real faults
I'd rather airstrike not get nerfed, and instead, more demolition force be given to Strafing Run and Orbital Gatling Barrage, as they are, you have to be incredibly lucky for 2 of the shots to line up and close a fabricator/bug hole
I also want Precision Strike Orbital to have it's base cooldown lowered to 70 seconds, it should be comparative to the EAT.

I can't unlock helldive difficulty. Each D8 operation has a mission that's absolutely grueling solo, such as the "kill waves of terminids" or escorting civilians, and grouping with others has gotten me disconnected randomly, finding groups that disband after 2 missions, or just now I got kicked to make room for the host's friend. It hurts bros.
I've been throwing SOS beacons but haven't had any luck with pubs. Had one join earlier today but he died like eight times and left, haha. Didn't get any others.
Sit on your ship for a bit, make sure to choose a well player populated planet. If you get literally n one, hop into your helldiver pod. If you still get no one, restart the game.
I host all my games, it's just so much better.

As soon are you start an operation and pick the 1st mission, it should throw you into the quick join and normal join pool.
It's true sometimes you are waiting a bit, but yeah, usually a restart fixes that. When you are a stable host, you actually have a chance to get people who will hang for entire missions and maybe even a whole op.

Yeah I usually bum around on 7 for reference. Been meaning to move up for a while but been lazy, since I complete every single op always now, even the absolute shit shows without people dropping out constantly.
there is an internal progress multiplier they use for major orders, when at the half day mark, they will probably make it so each completed mission does 10 times as much progress, how do you think we get almost all major orders done even when its apparent that we wont

I unironically prefer 7 to 5. 5 is just aids tier spawns for some reason, you get a set amount of spawns per patrol or breach and each unit has a cost, but at 5 it's mostly into shitter things like spewers and hunters, at 7 you get more titans and bile spewers which are ironically less of a threat to me and while yes they get more spawns, it actually is less shitter spawns because of how it calculates the spawns.
4. I have 9 unlocked but even 7 is too scary for me a lot of the time. I don't wanna have to try too hard, I just wanna have a nice walk in the park while stepping on bugs.

Yeah, I know that it can be due to network issues as well as it has happened to me as well. It is also way rarer in my experience on lower difficulties tho. Might be that the amount of shit that goes on in helldives makes crashes and network issues more likely.

7 is an enjoyable challenge for me, for the first month 9 was my preffered but for awhile now diff 9 seems like a dice roll on if the game will decide to spawn 6 bile spewers 8 chargers and 3 bug breaches on you for shits and if you are waiting on cooldowns you might as well die

8 for when I wanna abe reminded how badly designed difficulty is

7 was my comfort zone but it's been invaded by low level noobs lately. I've gone back to 9 to be around people nearer to my skill level. People on 9 actually bring enough things to kill all of the heavies and titans and they know how to deal with any situation.
9 is pretty easy, most teammate i have still bring quasars and just go 3 strategems
I mostly do 3 strategems and airburst though, sometimes eat
bots are 7 regardless
With my (competent) friends, yes. 8 is perfect.
Solo: 7 if I'm super sample hunting, 5 if I just want to have fun.
9 is annoying sweaty mode. I do it when one of my friends demands to experience it, but they've always stopped asking for it after slogging through one operation.
It's more fun on 8 when we can realistically complete all the map objectives, don't get stuck in reinforcement loops if we don't run away all the time, and get a nice 5-star rating at the end all without sweating all over the keyboard. 8 is perfect (with friends).

when i play with randoms i'm the only one doing the objective all the others just aggro for no reason, when i play with friends they ensist on going 7 and i get all hordes of bugs on my ass despite going stealth everyone and when i manage to get to the objective i realize i'm alone and the others are lagging behind aggroing mindless patrols
i'm tired of the shit so yeah, that difficulty is good enough for me
better than my friend who refuses to do the actual objectives before any side missions.
We have failed so many fricking missions because his loot goblin ass will not fricking go to the primary objective first, and he wastes the entire timer doing the side ones. He also outright refuses to call the extract "early" (two to five minutes left) because he wants to spend every possible second searching for stuff. Insisting on literally letting the timer run out each mission, for the auto extract call, just to potentially get more samples.
And then the moron always ends up dying on the return trip anyway, with me being the only one managing to extract.
It's bad enough that I think I'm gonna outright refuse to play with him, next time, unless he agrees to clear the main shit out first. It genuinely sometimes gets me to screaming mad tier, when he's trying to get to the Pelican, only to panic because there's no stratagems or reinforcemennts.
Completing the primary objectives increases patrol spawn rate by 4x.
Completing side (blue) objectives doesn't do anything to spawn rates.
Blowing up all outposts linearly increases patrol spawn rate after half of them are destroyed, but only up to ~15% more which isn't noticeable.
Being near an active medium or heavy outpost will increase the patrol spawn rate in a wide area around them, so it's generally a good idea to blow them up unless they're far out of the way.
I'm assuming your friend isn't autistic and instead knew all this but didn't bother explaining.
After you do the objectives, the spawn rate of the mobs and patrols increases FOUR times.

Why is he justified when we're only starting the very first main objective with about 7 minutes on the clock (the 40 minute missions), in half of the missions I've played with him recently.
If you have 7 minutes left then yeah, he's being a c**t. At that point you should just complete the primaries and evac.
You can also complete multi-stage primary objectives right up to the last stage without triggering the increase, i.e. stopping at 18/20 civilians evacuated, destroying all but one egg cluster objective, or stopping right at the "launch nuke" button on ICBM missions. The 4x increase in patrol spawns only happens the instant you complete the last primary objective.

It's poor, there is quite a few options for any given type of mission or faction, but everything feels kind of underwhelming with a few exceptions that are staples everyone uses.

I haven't played helldivers 2 proper in a month but are the nerfs that bad it makes the warbonds not worth it? I never faced any difficulty issue but it's probably because I mostly play Difficulty 4-7.
Steel veterans and cutting edge are still really good, Democratic detonation has one good thing in it now which is the grenade pistol, and the new war bond offers nothing new besides arguably the booster, which is whatever.

If you get a shitter do this, temporarily (or permanently) add them to your block list and even if they're host they get kicked from the match. Fair warning it can bug missions which have call in items if they've been called down like geo prospector so wait till interactable items are finished.
The AT sentry is underated, if im near a flat area I'll often throw one near the edge and it will literally kill literally everything by itself, you just have to make sure it's given the range.
On those defense missions with 4+ bile titans if you hide one round a corner, elevated and on the left so it doesn't get wasted on chaff it absolutely shreds every bile titan that comes into view while I was hitting a new bile titan with RR every 4s.
I always wanted to see what 4x AT turret could do on those d9 missions, placed correctly so they don't waste bullets on chaff for course.
Even on d9 with 4 people, if you get two people to place them a fair distance away from a breach with a good field of fire, clear out some chaff so they dont waste bullets, they will kill the entire breach.

To kill bile titan blow up both bellies with scorcher then orbital railcannon, it's a guaranteed kill. If you don't have railcannon just run underneath and use flamethrower, but the squad will usually have at least something to throw at bile titan. If there is nothing at all - just blow up their bellies and kite them indefinitely - they can't puke and walk slower.
They wall faster with bellies gone lmao, better off letting them spew and rape all the other enemies behind you with goop.
Shooting out the bellies is a dumb strat unless you have high ground and they can't reach you.

Just 500kg them and finish them with tickle damage if they survived, or 2 shots to the head with a RR eat or phaser, they're the easiest things to kill.
110mm eagle also hurts them and can kill in one or two passes, but not reliably and sometimes takes three, usually 2.
If you're good with hitting it directly with Eagle airstrike that can work too.
They also die pretty quick to the AT gun sentry if you give them the space and take aggro.
500kg has a smaller kill radius than you think, you can get remarkably close to it as long as you dive, so you can relatively safely bait the bile titan into an animation or turn as the 500kg drops right in front of your face (5-10meters idk how the scale works) and you dive away.
Your even safe 1-2 meters away as long as you're behind a tiny body height sized rock lying down, to be fair so is the bile titan, so try drop 500kgs on flatish ground with little clutter.
Lastly you can kill them with the AC, apparently you shoot the mouth 7 times but I wouldn't know I don't take AC on bugs.
I've even finished them with impact grenades and flamethrowers after a 500kg tbh.

Charger ass is only an option with explosive damage, which unlike every other damage type deals 100% damage to it.
5 ass shots from an autocannon or 2-3 direct impact grenade hits will blow its ass off, either killing it outright or making it bleed out in a few seconds. 2 autocannon shots to the back legs after it misses a charge will also kill it, but the vulnerability frames for the back legs are wonky as frick so I just play it safe and blast the ass off each time.

I have had like zero success with the flamehtowers, is the bile titan just ignoring you? He's go one shot kill melee.
The melee is super easy to bait by running under him or just diving away.
The only real risk is the titan turning around and hitting you with the legs while under him.

You guys weren't lying about how good the gas orbital is. It's like a little HE barrage with a 65s cooldown. Just took it into a D8 and rocked 20-40 kills every time I used it on a bug breach. Only criticism is that it can be a little inaccurate, I've seen it come down and land away from the strategem be 15m or so.

There's a hidden value the Pummeler has going for it.
Compared to the Liberator Concussive that staggers, the Pummeler STUNS as if inflicting a 1 second EMP.
This held back a dozen Berzerkers during extraction so they all remained in place for an airstrike. It makes you a really good support in a team.

It’s simple they have to remove the armor level system and make any weapon damage armor until it pierces and the deals damage to health. Low caliber should take a long time to pierce like 3-4 clips while high calibers should pierce easily. Simple.

I miss PS2's guns so much. I would KILL for a CARV or Gauss SAW primary in this game. The weapon balance is a lot better too, there's like 10x more guns and you can make an argument to use any one of them in different situations.
This is basically the Black person shooter of robots. It's amazing just deleting an entire column of berserkers and devestators with ease. My only complaint is whoever thought that puff of smoke going over the crosshairs in first person was a good idea should kill thenself NOW.

If your team is only doing the objective you will stoll come across 4-7 poi's a game that are basically in front of you, IF they're clearing all the nests then they're pretty much walking the entire map, in which case all of the POI'S are rarely out of reach.
Do POI's, they're useful for ammo grenades and stims if nothing else.

Illuminate were by far the least played against faction in HD1 because of how annoying they were. Looking at the design and balance choices of HD2 I'd bet that they'll be even more annoying in this one. We need a big ass Vulcan Raven esque ammo backpack strategem where you manually reload the weapon once to strap a belt to your current bullet using weapon on hand, and you can use your entire ammo apply for that weapon without needing to reload it. (Belt attach speed is directly tied to thw weapons normal reload speed).

Vets don't give a shit and would happily wipe everyone off the map if it meant finishing wrapping things up 30 seconds earlier. People want to play with others, but other people are probably gonna frick things up even worse. The two biggest problems with the game are balancing and the playerbase.

A single mission can easily take 40 minutes, that's at least a 90 minute commitment for an operation. I don't want to play for that long, I'm already starting to get burned out on the game.
There's no downtime in a mission. You're either fighting or running to the next fight, and outside of really low difficulties even a tiny skirmish can snowball into WW3. You never get a chance to relax. I need to alt tab and scroll Ganker or twatter for a few minutes after a mission.
I'd kill for a mission type that was like a 1/3rd the number of bugs, but they were mostly heavies. Getting swarmed for 30 minutes straight is exhausting.
Operations are stupid, no one has time for that shit.

I noticed it after the patch or a bunch of weapons were nerfed recently, plus the loading screen hitches and chugs more now. I still run good once I'm in game, but yeah like you said, longer load times.
Because the account linking option is removed the game has to do a lot of extra work during the loading process.
I only notice it when the host is on a slow connection. When I play solo it doesn't feel any different, but maybe I'm used to it by now.

Ensure you only have one input source in windows audio settings. Check to see it works in Windows in various other software, but this looks to be working for you as you stated other games it works fine. Check the HD2's setting for audio and make sure it only see the one mic input and it is selected, change the press to talk to open mic and see if it works that way and then set it back to press to talk or w/e you prefer.
I know I stumbled upon an issue with the mic after the last patch, the game would mute both me and my friend after he selected a mission and we got into our hellpods to drop we both thought each other's mic was set to mute and so we played the game in silence and then after several minutes the game fixed itself and we were able to hear each other again.

They are all side grades or downgrades from existing weaponry, and the weaponry and question are generalist, all rounders so you're not getting any new kind of functionality like you would be with something like the erupter or grenade pistol. The booster is the best part of the bond, but you can honestly pass on that as well. This is probably the weakest war bond released to date and I can safely say that you can completely skip it and not miss anything that you don't already have.

Same, once you realize that you can kill two mooks in one shot by aiming between them if they're close together, the biggest downside of it is negated (handling large groups). It was one of the first weapons I've unlocked and it's still 70% of my primary playtime after unlocking everything.

There is literally illuminate models and animations in the game right now. That and there being multiple testimonys along with videos of players being sniped by a blue laser doesnt leave much doubt that they have them in as a rare easter egg.
Now why a player hasnt killed one yet even just by collateral makes me think they must be invincible when they spawn to shoot one powerful shot and then leave.

As long as they're not wasting tickets I let them be, because there can only ever be one breach(s) per map at any one time so it makes my life doing the objectives/POI's significantly easier because the risk of breach is far less when I clear that compound.
It's only detrimental on geological survey maps and evacuation, because they have breaches you can't avoid.

Unless you're getting fricked up spawns, two guys cycling EAT call ins is enough anti armor for difficulty 7 at the least. If your team is even slightly coordinated this means your other two guys can bring some wave clear like a grenade launcher or auto cannon instead of a 4th fricking quasar.
I unlocked and tried the slugger and it's so, so bad. Takes 2 shots to kill anything above a scavenger and doesn't stun things coming at you like the punisher does. Dropped it faster than anything else up to now and went back to the punisher.

Incredibly useful. Against bots allows you to hold off berserker swarms and hit weakpoints easier when they do get staggered, effectively increasing damage output anyway. Against bugs you can keep hunters/stalkers staggered and away from tonguing your anus, something only the Punisher could do effectively previously.
I haven't decided yet if I like the Punisher or the Pummeller more vs. bugs but it's nice to finally have an alternative.

Orbital Gas Strike is now actually good.
The low CD orbitals are all underrated. My favorite is the airburst, absolutely devastating for bug breaches.
I find it's not personally, it's hits need to be spread out more in terms of time so it can actually have time to build up mobs in the breach.

SOMETHING is going to be the most versatile thing. If they nerf it, people will find another general use workhorse to bring to missions because you have to have something that destroys heavy armor and encampments. It doesn't 1HK0 titans/striders unless you luck out and every single one hits (and even then, it's iffy) and it isn't even guaranteed to take out chargers and hulks. It's fine how it is now.

I'd rather airstrike not get nerfed, and instead, more demolition force be given to Strafing Run and Orbital Gatling Barrage, as they are, you have to be incredibly lucky for 2 of the shots to line up and close a fabricator/bug hole
I also want Precision Strike Orbital to have it's base cooldown lowered to 70 seconds, it should be comparative to the EAT.

Each D8 operation has a mission that's absolutely grueling solo, such as the "kill waves of terminids" or escorting civilians, and grouping with others has gotten me disconnected randomly, finding groups that disband after 2 missions, or just now I got kicked to make room for the host's friend. It hurts bros.

As soon are you start an operation and pick the 1st mission, it should throw you into the quick join and normal join pool.
It's true sometimes you are waiting a bit, but yeah, usually a restart fixes that. When you are a stable host, you actually have a chance to get people who will hang for entire missions and maybe even a whole op.

I unironically prefer 7 to 5. 5 is just aids tier spawns for some reason, you get a set amount of spawns per patrol or breach and each unit has a cost, but at 5 it's mostly into shitter things like spewers and hunters, at 7 you get more titans and bile spewers which are ironically less of a threat to me and while yes they get more spawns, it actually is less shitter spawns because of how it calculates the spawns.
One op of 7 is usually a good day for me. But I'll be doing some 8/9 more often going forward.
7 but I've been reading 7 & 8 are indistinguishable so maybe I'll step it up to 8 with my friends plus it gives us more samples.

Yeah, I know that it can be due to network issues as well as it has happened to me as well. It is also way rarer in my experience on lower difficulties tho. Might be that the amount of shit that goes on in helldives makes crashes and network issues more likely.

I don't care if I unlock stuff slower, the devs are too shit at balancing and designing the higher challenges to warrant playing on 9. 7 is an enjoyable challenge for me, for the first month 9 was my preffered but for awhile now diff 9 seems like a dice roll on if the game will decide to spawn 6 bile spewers 8 chargers and 3 bug breaches on you for shits and if you are waiting on cooldowns you might as well die

Solo: 7 if I'm super sample hunting, 5 if I just want to have fun.
9 is annoying sweaty mode. I do it when one of my friends demands to experience it, but they've always stopped asking for it after slogging through one operation.
It's more fun on 8 when we can realistically complete all the map objectives, don't get stuck in reinforcement loops if we don't run away all the time, and get a nice 5-star rating at the end all without sweating all over the keyboard. 8 is perfect (with friends).

We have failed so many fricking missions because his loot goblin ass will not fricking go to the primary objective first, and he wastes the entire timer doing the side ones. He also outright refuses to call the extract "early" (two to five minutes left) because he wants to spend every possible second searching for stuff. Insisting on literally letting the timer run out each mission, for the auto extract call, just to potentially get more samples.
And then the moron always ends up dying on the return trip anyway, with me being the only one managing to extract.
It's bad enough that I think I'm gonna outright refuse to play with him, next time, unless he agrees to clear the main shit out first. It genuinely sometimes gets me to screaming mad tier, when he's trying to get to the Pelican, only to panic because there's no stratagems or reinforcemennts.
Completing the primary objectives increases patrol spawn rate by 4x.
Completing side (blue) objectives doesn't do anything to spawn rates.
Blowing up all outposts linearly increases patrol spawn rate after half of them are destroyed, but only up to ~15% more which isn't noticeable.
Being near an active medium or heavy outpost will increase the patrol spawn rate in a wide area around them, so it's generally a good idea to blow them up unless they're far out of the way.

Why is he justified when we're only starting the very first main objective with about 7 minutes on the clock (the 40 minute missions), in half of the missions I've played with him recently.
If you have 7 minutes left then yeah, he's being a c**t. At that point you should just complete the primaries and evac.
You can also complete multi-stage primary objectives right up to the last stage without triggering the increase, i.e. stopping at 18/20 civilians evacuated, destroying all but one egg cluster objective, or stopping right at the "launch nuke" button on ICBM missions. The 4x increase in patrol spawns only happens the instant you complete the last primary objective.
I'll keep that in mind. it sounds like it'll come in handy to delay the spawn increases until 3 of the 4 are at the evac
yeah no he just fixates entirely on the side objectives. He's straight up a fricking butthole who doesn't even care if we fail the mission, as long as he gets the samples, but won't bother power grinding outside of when the group plays to get the last chunks he needs. That's a bit late, it's still good to get the subobjectives for the main objective along the way even if they mildly increase spawns.
I split off from the group to get some side objectives done while the main group handles the main objectives.
Usually I'm done with most of the map by 25mins still to go. If he's hunting for POIs for SC then he needs to go to lower difficulty levels like 7 where he can frick around a bit more since he's cutting it close.
Egg missions are longer than others if you're with pubbies, so that realistically should have 1 or 2 done well before the end.
Only bother doing nest clears when they're near something you want to do like an objective, or you need common and rare samples, they only give you frick all EXP and Req otherwise, and imo not worth doing.
After you do the objectives, the spawn rate of the mobs and patrols increases FOUR times.

there's not really a hard decision of "should I use X or Y?" there's a handful of OK guns and the rest are literally unusable trash.
the worst part is a gun can jump from either category dramatically in one hotfix, so no point getting used to or picking a favorite gun

Steel veterans and cutting edge are still really good, Democratic detonation has one good thing in it now which is the grenade pistol, and the new war bond offers nothing new besides arguably the booster, which is whatever.
Low-Mid Difficulties are trivial and I usually use whatever weapon that feels fun to me at the moment such as feel and what it does. I don't care for higher difficulty because it really boils down to rushing to the objectives and do as much side objectifies as possible and gtfo.

DD used to have two good guns but they nerfed both so now it only has the cool devastator armor set and the grenade pistol

If you get a shitter do this, temporarily (or permanently) add them to your block list and even if they're host they get kicked from the match. Fair warning it can bug missions which have call in items if they've been called down like geo prospector so wait till interactable items are finished.
I played in bots where the lower difficulties have slightly more competent players and max payneing around is a viable strategy

The AT sentry is underated, if im near a flat area I'll often throw one near the edge and it will literally kill literally everything by itself, you just have to make sure it's given the range.
On those defense missions with 4+ bile titans if you hide one round a corner, elevated and on the left so it doesn't get wasted on chaff it absolutely shreds every bile titan that comes into view while I was hitting a new bile titan with RR every 4s.
I always wanted to see what 4x AT turret could do on those d9 missions, placed correctly so they don't waste bullets on chaff for course.
Even on d9 with 4 people, if you get two people to place them a fair distance away from a breach with a good field of fire, clear out some chaff so they dont waste bullets, they will kill the entire breach.
Running 4 sentries is completely viable on difficulty 9. I do it all the time.

To kill bile titan blow up both bellies with scorcher then orbital railcannon, it's a guaranteed kill. If you don't have railcannon just run underneath and use flamethrower, but the squad will usually have at least something to throw at bile titan. If there is nothing at all - just blow up their bellies and kite them indefinitely - they can't puke and walk slower.
They wall faster with bellies gone lmao, better off letting them spew and rape all the other enemies behind you with goop.
Shooting out the bellies is a dumb strat unless you have high ground and they can't reach you.

it's not even challenging, just annoying.
Just 500kg them and finish them with tickle damage if they survived, or 2 shots to the head with a RR eat or phaser, they're the easiest things to kill.
110mm eagle also hurts them and can kill in one or two passes, but not reliably and sometimes takes three, usually 2.
If you're good with hitting it directly with Eagle airstrike that can work too.
They also die pretty quick to the AT gun sentry if you give them the space and take aggro.
500kg has a smaller kill radius than you think, you can get remarkably close to it as long as you dive, so you can relatively safely bait the bile titan into an animation or turn as the 500kg drops right in front of your face (5-10meters idk how the scale works) and you dive away.
Your even safe 1-2 meters away as long as you're behind a tiny body height sized rock lying down, to be fair so is the bile titan, so try drop 500kgs on flatish ground with little clutter.
Lastly you can kill them with the AC, apparently you shoot the mouth 7 times but I wouldn't know I don't take AC on bugs.
I've even finished them with impact grenades and flamethrowers after a 500kg tbh.

I tried cooking a charger, front, back, legs, everywhere, with the flamethrower and it took almost an entire canister to kill it. DOT didn't do jack shit either. Total meme, I eventually wise up and just grabbed an EAT and oneshotted it.
You target a single leg and it dies fast, if you spray all over you are just spreading the damage out.
Flamethrowers has been able to cook charger for months now.
you're supposed to stun it and then focus on a single front leg, it takes me about 2-3 seconds to kill one that way

Charger ass is only an option with explosive damage, which unlike every other damage type deals 100% damage to it.
5 ass shots from an autocannon or 2-3 direct impact grenade hits will blow its ass off, either killing it outright or making it bleed out in a few seconds. 2 autocannon shots to the back legs after it misses a charge will also kill it, but the vulnerability frames for the back legs are wonky as frick so I just play it safe and blast the ass off each time.

I have had like zero success with the flamehtowers, is the bile titan just ignoring you? He's go one shot kill melee.
He can only one shot you if you're standing in front of him or if you're right next to his legs. Once you're under him you're safe.

The melee is super easy to bait by running under him or just diving away.
The only real risk is the titan turning around and hitting you with the legs while under him.
So get out from under them quick and its no issue.
if you aim at the front leg you can kill it in less than half a tank, if this didn't happen for you - you were missing.

My friend was seriously trying to tell me it's just designed like Armored Core, where you gotta bring the right gear for each mission.

You guys weren't lying about how good the gas orbital is. It's like a little HE barrage with a 65s cooldown. Just took it into a D8 and rocked 20-40 kills every time I used it on a bug breach. Only criticism is that it can be a little inaccurate, I've seen it come down and land away from the strategem be 15m or so.
It didn't work until last patch because of DOT bug

Boring AF but it feels nerfproof. The precision strike is seriously so good on bots but I never see anyone use it. Fricks striders, tanks, towers, fabricators, you name it, and a 90s cooldown to boot.
The 110 is more idiot proof and does more or less the same thing while being an eagle. Precision strike is nice but if they move or it bounces it is useless.
I don't like to invest too many of my stratagems into being eagles, because I don't want to be hung out to dry when shit hits the fan. The only reason I run two with bugs is because the orbital gas strike has an extremely short timer of 75 seconds, which is even lower with the orbital cooldown ship module.
For bugs, I run the punisher, grenade pistol, impact grenades, and medium engineering kit armor. For robots, I run the dominator, redeemer (soon to be replaced by the new deagle sidearm), stun grenades, and either medium armor with the explosive damage +recoil reduction or heavy armor with servo-assisted to throw my precision strike further.

I've only completed 3-4 D9 operations but I play on D8 every night. D9 is just hard to do with pubs IMO but I have pulled through with them without feeling like I was carried through it. I always have SOMETHING online that can hit heavy armor targets and that's the most important thing to have on D7-9.
Oh, and to add to
, I only use the precision strike on stationary or very slow targets. It's like a railcannon strike but with less than half the cooldown time.
