Bug holes are interdimensional portals to their homeworld that only needs one tiny bug the size of a rock to be flung into space and land on planets to open up and spread more, making it undetectable from the enourmous size of space. Camoflauge might be in effect as well to look like asteroids. This is my headcannon to taking the facts seriously, but it could easily never be explained and not matter.
The democracy officer aboard my ship mentioned that they 'escaped the farms' so I'm just assuming that every planet in that chunk of the galaxy has bug farms on it, especially since the end of the first game is Super Earth realizing they can just turn bugs into oil.

If the drop is hot, people get in this weird loop of having to get their gear and then dying over and over trying to find it, when they could just go to the objective and drop new gear in after ~2 minutes.
Also you can’t play 7-9 without needing a shield and railgun or autocannon at all times, you’re just bad at the game.
The real question is, if Super Earth has control of everything already then why do they need to release bugs and robots on anything? What's the point of having false flags if you've already won the war?

Because people cant hit heads so they think robots are hard. Theres a massive difference between hitting heads on robots and not hitting them. Like close to 10 times as much damage.

This is mostly correct. Due to the way bots work its easy to control engagement with them, and since they tend to be slow and ranged if you kite away they will tend to clump up in one direction. So even if shit is hitting the fan you can easily have all the shit be in one direction from you, and at range. As opposed to bugs where things are always going to be surrounding you and its much more chaotic because some bugs intentionally try to flank you. With bots you can peek out and snipe the big threats because the little bots at range are not likley to hit you and if you have a shield then they are never going to damage you provided you are peeking out from cover fast to do a railgun shot then back in to reload.
Bugs though the little bugs are going to be swarming you.

patrols dont just spawn randomly. mortar bases are the biggest hassle, honestly if one is fricking with me right at drop in ill just orbital laser it.
Bot patrols are just easier to avoid though, between the noise they make and the fact that they dont get alerted as often/easily as bugs because its easier to shut down flair guys than bug pheromone guys. Im not sure how bugs work really i just know when ever i attack a bug base even if no bug breach happens nearby patrols come running whereas you can avoid this with bots most of the time. I assume bugs have a mechanic like flairs where in addition to the bug breach/bot drop it also alerts nearby patrols, and unlike bots where its just flair guys that can do it any bug can do a mini bug breach which means patrol alerting too?
Im not sure, its just easier to stealth through bot missions than bug missions.
Turrets can catch you by surprise but otherwise they are fairly benign you can just keep terrain between you and avoid those bases.
Soloing high level is about stealthing and initiating fights in a controlled way that eleminates it with out reinforcements if at all possible, and its easier to do this with bots than bugs, i dont know why. Also, because its about initiation, you can pick where you initiation against bots meaning if things do go south you can still be in a good position against, again, ranged enemies who will not pressure you out of your cover too fast.
I think the fact that bots are very obvious when they are starting to detect you with their red eyes which gives you time to just walk away and not agro them might help too. I tend to not know if bugs have aggro me until they are actually really aggro on me, whereas i can skirt bot patrols easily just using audio clues.
But yeah mortar bases are the most annoying bot thing. The mortars themselves are weak though and their bases are usually small and easy to storm

As bullshit as it was they definitely had enough time to stop the flare. I call it a skill issue
i think they are about equal in difficulty, but for different reasons. bots can be really annoying with all the different ways you can get oneshot from range and just the general attrition of heavily armored shooters pushing up to you position. bugs can easily overwhelm you into a constant breach state because a single scavenger that just came out of a hole or that was hiding behind a knee-high bump in the ground can spawn several time-wasting chargers or a huge wave of hunters that you have to kite and end up running into another patrol.
it makes me worry for the horrors of the illuminate, cloaked scouts are going to be a lot harder to see in third person.
Lol you can just run circles around all the bugs and ignore them for most of the mission, even on helldive. The worst thing you have to deal with is spore spewers and stalker lairs. Then bots on the other hand have stratagem jammers, air support jammers, cannon towers, rockets that snipe you from 500m away. Bots are way, way harder.

How's the recoiless rifle? I'm having trouble against those big armored bugs that rushes me.
Aim for the front legs. You'll blow off their armor in one shot, then you can unload on them with a primary.
If you have more than one, just wait for them to chase someone else, reload, and blast em.

I do them on Suicide/Impossible regularly. The key is to just stick to the objective and keep moving. You're right, they will literally never stop coming, so there's no reason to stick around and fight pointlessly, you'll just draw more patrols and spawns and get overwhelmed. Stay on the mission and complete it. Use stealth whenever you can. Only kill the bugs that are in the way, only shoot at things whose weak points you can hit and exploit. Your objective is to survive and complete the job, not defeat all the enemies, because the enemies are endless. It's a completely different game from bots where you can just fight everything and win.

meh super samples are actually the easiest to farm solo since they always spawn in clusters of 6 in the same spot. It's the common and rares who are pain in the dick because good luck clearing entire map solo in time.
i guess it comes down to preference. i like getting rare samples with randos on lower difficulties rather than soloing higher diff missions

I tried it a few times and it made me rage quit. You would think lvl 20s are capable of splitting and clearing the map instead they just keep fighting and calling more drop ships. Since then only solo gameplay for me. 7 solo is very comfy and enjoyable, 8 solo is hit or miss you can get fricked at the start and then it spirals otherwise its ok, 9 solo is cbt

To be fair, anticheats literally don't work for the same reason antivirus doesn't work. Putting it in the kernel is just a new level of invasiveness to make sure you aren't doing lower effort stuff like PCIe radars or DMA writes or being a VM being edited by the hypervisor.

This game is actually excellent for playing with randoms and just going off and doing your own thing entirely, as there can only be one bug breach/bot drop on the map at once, so if you run off and the randoms get spotted you suddenly have a free pass to clear out any patrols/bases around without kicking the beehive.
its really annoying how the last difficulties is just zerg rush the objectives and even then you can do everything perfectly, and the evac will have an endless horde you just cannot get past. Got blasted to shit and we had literallly zero way to deal with it.
in my experience at 7+, after a certain point on a mission, its basically impossible to shut down bug spawning, you just end up in a endless spiral of bug breaches, so just keep moving objective to objective

I am complaining that there is exactly one way to deal with super heavies and it is completely non-engaging. And the reason there is only one way is because the two stratagems that make it possible are too powerful.

Bug holes are interdimensional portals to their homeworld that only needs one tiny bug the size of a rock to be flung into space and land on planets to open up and spread more, making it undetectable from the enourmous size of space. Camoflauge might be in effect as well to look like asteroids. This is my headcannon to taking the facts seriously, but it could easily never be explained and not matter.
The democracy officer aboard my ship mentioned that they 'escaped the farms' so I'm just assuming that every planet in that chunk of the galaxy has bug farms on it, especially since the end of the first game is Super Earth realizing they can just turn bugs into oil.
The point is that Super Earth claims the bugs are an encroaching threat, yet they also claim they do not know how bugs move from planet to planet, even though observing that shit should be a piece of cake for a society as advanced as Super Earth.

I kicked them and finished the mission solo. They had lost 16 reinforcements, and not managed to blow up a single fabricator...
If the drop is hot, people get in this weird loop of having to get their gear and then dying over and over trying to find it, when they could just go to the objective and drop new gear in after ~2 minutes.
Also you can’t play 7-9 without needing a shield and railgun or autocannon at all times, you’re just bad at the game.

Absolutely, yes. When you are being overrun and trying to call in a stratagem, being able to move while calling in shit is going to save. You can sprint while calling in stratagems as well

Bugs require more variety in load out, but I'm not convinced they're harder.
bots are harder because they have a lot more explosives. artillery, mines, rocketboys and so on.
none of that is hard at all compared to getting overwhelmed by overtuned mobs that require different strategies to kill vs robots that all pretty much die the same way

you act like robots will only ever shoot at you from a singular angle. yes there are solutions to things, that doesn't mean that the fact that robots have explosives isn't why people think they're harder to deal with.

This is mostly correct. Due to the way bots work its easy to control engagement with them, and since they tend to be slow and ranged if you kite away they will tend to clump up in one direction. So even if shit is hitting the fan you can easily have all the shit be in one direction from you, and at range. As opposed to bugs where things are always going to be surrounding you and its much more chaotic because some bugs intentionally try to flank you. With bots you can peek out and snipe the big threats because the little bots at range are not likley to hit you and if you have a shield then they are never going to damage you provided you are peeking out from cover fast to do a railgun shot then back in to reload.
Bugs though the little bugs are going to be swarming you.

Bot patrols are just easier to avoid though, between the noise they make and the fact that they dont get alerted as often/easily as bugs because its easier to shut down flair guys than bug pheromone guys. Im not sure how bugs work really i just know when ever i attack a bug base even if no bug breach happens nearby patrols come running whereas you can avoid this with bots most of the time. I assume bugs have a mechanic like flairs where in addition to the bug breach/bot drop it also alerts nearby patrols, and unlike bots where its just flair guys that can do it any bug can do a mini bug breach which means patrol alerting too?
Im not sure, its just easier to stealth through bot missions than bug missions.
Turrets can catch you by surprise but otherwise they are fairly benign you can just keep terrain between you and avoid those bases.
Soloing high level is about stealthing and initiating fights in a controlled way that eleminates it with out reinforcements if at all possible, and its easier to do this with bots than bugs, i dont know why. Also, because its about initiation, you can pick where you initiation against bots meaning if things do go south you can still be in a good position against, again, ranged enemies who will not pressure you out of your cover too fast.
I think the fact that bots are very obvious when they are starting to detect you with their red eyes which gives you time to just walk away and not agro them might help too. I tend to not know if bugs have aggro me until they are actually really aggro on me, whereas i can skirt bot patrols easily just using audio clues.
But yeah mortar bases are the most annoying bot thing. The mortars themselves are weak though and their bases are usually small and easy to storm

i think they are about equal in difficulty, but for different reasons. bots can be really annoying with all the different ways you can get oneshot from range and just the general attrition of heavily armored shooters pushing up to you position. bugs can easily overwhelm you into a constant breach state because a single scavenger that just came out of a hole or that was hiding behind a knee-high bump in the ground can spawn several time-wasting chargers or a huge wave of hunters that you have to kite and end up running into another patrol.
it makes me worry for the horrors of the illuminate, cloaked scouts are going to be a lot harder to see in third person.
Lol you can just run circles around all the bugs and ignore them for most of the mission, even on helldive. The worst thing you have to deal with is spore spewers and stalker lairs. Then bots on the other hand have stratagem jammers, air support jammers, cannon towers, rockets that snipe you from 500m away. Bots are way, way harder.

How's the recoiless rifle? I'm having trouble against those big armored bugs that rushes me.
Aim for the front legs. You'll blow off their armor in one shot, then you can unload on them with a primary.
If you have more than one, just wait for them to chase someone else, reload, and blast em.

RR is good but is harder to use especially against bugs, but giga strong if you can ever sync up with someone else for assisted reload

this tbh. expendable anti tank is also good, as it's on a short cooldown, will deal with anything the AMR/airstrikes can't deal with, and if you get yourself killed in a bad spot where you can't reclaim your AMR you still have a great support weapon option, just drop that shit on cooldown for you and your team to pick up as necessary

yeah we were all a mix of levels between level 9 to level 12 this shit did not feel clearable whatsoever compared to the hard difficulty
just play automatons for now, much easier at earlier levels because you have all the tools needed to deal with all enemies

I do them on Suicide/Impossible regularly. The key is to just stick to the objective and keep moving. You're right, they will literally never stop coming, so there's no reason to stick around and fight pointlessly, you'll just draw more patrols and spawns and get overwhelmed. Stay on the mission and complete it. Use stealth whenever you can. Only kill the bugs that are in the way, only shoot at things whose weak points you can hit and exploit. Your objective is to survive and complete the job, not defeat all the enemies, because the enemies are endless. It's a completely different game from bots where you can just fight everything and win.

Yeah it probably won't work with randoms who you can't communicate with. You can beat bots with no communication because it's self explanatory, you take cover and shoot the heatsinks. With bugs you need to follow the right strategy or you eat shit. So random pub johnny rico will just charge the nearest bug and shoot it and draw aggro from the entire swarm, meanwhile the objective is 200 miles away

meh super samples are actually the easiest to farm solo since they always spawn in clusters of 6 in the same spot. It's the common and rares who are pain in the dick because good luck clearing entire map solo in time.
i guess it comes down to preference. i like getting rare samples with randos on lower difficulties rather than soloing higher diff missions
I tried it a few times and it made me rage quit. You would think lvl 20s are capable of splitting and clearing the map instead they just keep fighting and calling more drop ships. Since then only solo gameplay for me. 7 solo is very comfy and enjoyable, 8 solo is hit or miss you can get fricked at the start and then it spirals otherwise its ok, 9 solo is cbt

I also hacked medium and common. The rares were harder because I had to solo extract on 7 after doing the cheat which takes 5-10 minues

This game is actually excellent for playing with randoms and just going off and doing your own thing entirely, as there can only be one bug breach/bot drop on the map at once, so if you run off and the randoms get spotted you suddenly have a free pass to clear out any patrols/bases around without kicking the beehive.
its really annoying how the last difficulties is just zerg rush the objectives and even then you can do everything perfectly, and the evac will have an endless horde you just cannot get past. Got blasted to shit and we had literallly zero way to deal with it.
in my experience at 7+, after a certain point on a mission, its basically impossible to shut down bug spawning, you just end up in a endless spiral of bug breaches, so just keep moving objective to objective

You only need one, most of the time the robots inside seem to effortlessly float to the ground though

I shoot them in the instant they come to a stop but before any mechs start dropping. At that point the ship disappears, all the mechs drop then the ship reappears from the side and crashes down

I'm getting kicked from 3 out of 4 matches I join, are people moronic and don't know how to make private lobbies?

someone post a lobby to join I keep joining games and get kicked immediately
all eagle upgrades are good
radar range
turret ammo
these change how you can pay the game
the rest are minor nice things
