I am, but their currently isnt enough gameplay footage to really speculate over.
It so far seems like Helldivers but in full 3D,which along with more objective types is really all I wanted from a sequel so I'm satisfied so far.
Seems like they ditched vehicles entirely. Makes sense though because doing them right in a 3D environment would probably be a huge amount of work that would just be kinda half-assed if they did it anyway due to game balancing issues.
I'm all in for more EDF style games though.
Not enough gameplay. Helldivers 1 despite looking like generic twin-stick shooter actually had quite unique gameplay. Which was very fan. What we saw in 2 trailers looked like even more generic co-op TPS, and I'm not sure how are they going to implement all the fun co-op mechanics from 1. Because if it's just another TPS than we already have plenty.
Another good part of it was Starship Troopers "democracy" humor, and that's another part I hope they won't frick up.
a little. im worried about the crossplay aspect and whether it'll be absolute ass cause me and my brothers(men and one on pc other brother on ps5) were gonna 3 man these bugs.
there isn't a lot of gameplay out. it's the same 4 minute videos all over. also why the frick is it 100gigs?
to me it looks like DRG but without the mining and you just stomp bugs.
yup. i wanna like this game and i hope it'll be good but idk bro. there's some frickery going on with it. but i need something to replace DRG and this game seems like it could be it. the fact that there's a chance i can play stomp and shoot bug game with my brothers is a huge plus.
yeah I'm looking for the same kind of experience, but 100GB SSD encouraged is definitely not what I was expecting from a Helldivers sequel
Like it's cool they are upping the production value I guess? Kinda like housemarquee or whatever and Returnal looking quite nice
but returnal runs like ass on PC too so I'm a bit worried
I'm none of those anon, but you are entirely wrong. Returnal runs at a lovely native 4k 90fps on my build. and 4k 60+ with raytracing and dlss. It might be something on your build mate. I played the whole thing through with my bro and he was on a 3060 ti.
my 2080ti is doing just fine but it stutters bad especially when loading a new room, my 9700k is probably nearing the end of its life if even the overclock can't keep up anymore
but looking at the HD2 trailers it looks like they went mental with the volumetrics so that will be an easy setting to squeeze fps from
It's definitely on my radar but I'll wait and see. I hope it's good because I need a new co-op game to play with a buddy and I like the Starship Troopers vibe. The armor designs all look cool too.
Iirc, the first game got like an 81 Metacritic so I predict that the second game will score a few points higher on Metacritic.
Then we really don't need new entries when a patch could suffice to add new weapons and such. EDF has stagnated a bit, and weapon finding/upgrading is always flipping between being okay or terrible. I can only shoot recolored ants so many times, play half a game to get to the fun newer enemies.
REMEMBER THIS ULTIMATE SOUL TEST WHEN HELLDIVERS 2 IS OUT:
- See if you can explode yourself and your friends by shooting explosives at ejecting casings, from the turret
I'd say let's just wait and see. I'm guessing they're being careful with not showing to much. If the guys on the playstation announcement page are pissed off about the dual release as it is.

Dropping mechs would be a huge blunder IMO so I'd hope its just them holding off on showing everything.
This, its weird how there isn't a full session of gameplay out. Just show 20-30m raw footage.
Yes but I'm still on the fence about it.
Out of all the failed bug shooter games that's come out the past 2 years this is the one I'm most excited about.
are there only 2 enemy races or is there a third one not announced yet
it seems like it's the same 3 enemy factions from the first game and they haven't shown the protoss looking guys yet
I'm getting all my friends to get this, I'm pretty excited.
Did helldivers 1 have armor customization? I couldn't get into it
Yeah, but it was purely cosmetic. Seems that in 2 your armor infers certain bonuses/penalties.

In vr yes. As long as there is no anticheat it should work
a little. im worried about the crossplay aspect and whether it'll be absolute ass cause me and my brothers(men and one on pc other brother on ps5) were gonna 3 man these bugs.

>100gigs
what in the fricking hell
you're right
how is that possible

Uncompressed Unreal assets?
I bet around 6GBs of that are just the uncompressed intro mp4
I loved the first game and I'm not sure I like the move to the over-the-shoulder perspective.

The lack of marketing is a bit questionable.
They could have eaten EDF's lunch if they weren't moronic.
Likely still will, vehicles in EDF control like shit and they are trading visuals for enemy count
>they are trading visuals for enemy count
That's a strong point of EDF

Cautiously optimistic. I can hope it's going to turn out alright and maybe my friends jump in on the action.
yeah I was looking forward to it and then they announced crossplay with PS5 and I can play with my bro so I'm even more excited
No.
1 was good but a textbook example of shitty p2w DLC. These Swedes are just giga israelites.

>third person shooter
Huh?
>"PC Features" trailer
>has no PC features
Interested but this just screams red flags out the ass.

Hoping it's a good co-op game until the true king comes out.
