Yeah I won't touch armor vs bugs, light medic for me since speed and stam is king, bugs have too many stunlocks and slowing options. Medium and heavy are both fine for bots though
The only time armor has worked for me against bugs is when my whole team was using it without any shotguns.

I've been playing for less than a month and have enough currency saved for the next 2 warbonds.
If somehow they release so much content that I can't unlock it without paying, I'll just grind for anything that looks fun and unlock the rest eventually.
You're either lying or willfilly ignorant. The premium warbonds costs 1000 sc. You can get around 30 sc / match. The first 2 levels of the regular bonds give you 100 sc, but each subsequent sc reward in the bonds after that will only give you 30-50 sc, and they space them out between every second tier, and then every third tier.
This makes it unfeasible to farm enough credits to buy the premium warbond, and ultimately you need to spend money to unlock the premium weapon rewards.
You can farm around 800 super credits in one hour by just dropping in a level 1 mission, finding some double sc poi, alt+f4 and restarting the same mission as many times as you need.
Brother, I've got 1100 SC farmed from scratch doing like two days of casually farming for an hour or so. 30-40SC every 2min, 150-200 every 10min, 900-1200 every hour. It is trivially easy to get SC if you want it.

its literally exceptionally useful. you can 1 tap or 2 tap titans, one rocket strips leg armor and the gun makes short work of brood commanders and warriors (and stripped chargers). small bugs arent even an issue and you can essentially use them to genocide the entire horizon while your team gets shit done. you can blow your load with the ammo then start hauling ass out of it. it is EXACTLY like HD1 where they were used to obliterate objectives and clear an entire area before moving on.

Servers have fallen behind right now because of all the people playing to try to the mechs. Same thing happened during the big player boom a couple weeks ago. The transaction went through, but it will take time for the database to catch up.
Probably the dumbest teammate I've had used mines in a middle of a firefight. So not only was he accidentally killing his teammates, but recovery of items was hell
I've got Steeled Veterans, I've bought every armor on rotation in the store, and I still have over 1500sc just chilling waiting for more warbonds and armors to drop.
While it's possible they could add more Strategems to warbonds in the future, the only precedent we have is the single post-launch strategem they've added (the first mech) being free to everyone because the community did stuff during the galactic campaign.
It's so easy to grind SC by just running around low-level missions and ripping open containers then ESC -> Return to Ship. All medals, reqs, and SC picked up during the mission is immediately added to your totals no need to extract.

Not by much truth be told. Normal bots kill you in 4 or 5 shots in light armor. It's only 8 to 10 with the 200 heavy armor, assuming you don't take a headshot.
But that's a lot, 3-4 even 5 shot difference is you getting your stim off or straight up dying, and I've seen that happen to myself way too many times to call it a coincidence
I guess that's going to be the setup going forward:
Light Armor for bugs - Outrunning them is the best solution
Heavy Armor for bots - Since you can't outrun a plasma shot
For when you're an indecisive gay who can't handle two extremes, but Medium Armor does get good bonuses though like 50% chance to not take a fatal hit or Grenade/Stim capacity

RR takes the support and backpack slot

The RR would need to be buffed to the point it can compete with the spear in terms of damage.
So fricking well be it, buff the RR so it competes with it. The Railgun eats ammo quickly and when you're out, you have to scrounge around for more, just like everything else, unless you're carrying around a Supply Pack. Even then, you're only carrying 20. I could accept it being a capacity of 10 rounds, but that'd frick up the game just as much.

Flamethrower should make them stagger. But I'm sure upgrades and pyro armor that makes you resistant to fire will fix it.

Personally I preferred hanging in 7, doubt you'd know this but at those levels the cooldowns on all your call-ins are about 3 mins, and the arc gun has a great flow breaking 15 second charge up time before killing 3 grunts and annoying a mid level enemy, that may blow your hair back down on 3 but in more rarified air we need something with real oomph so we can make the team stronger.
I know big powerful guns upset you and fun isn't in your vocabulary but maybe you should switch to a simpler game and stop sucking up to people who talk shit to your face online

The fricked part of the game, is the short length of time to stop mobs from calling in reinforcements. Sure, the Bots you just gotta kill the Commander.
But the bugs, you have to be looking at the bug that's doing the call-in or you're fricked by another elite. Even if you do prevent a bug from calling in, another almost IMMEDIATELY starts the call in.

If the commander is down, any of the small humanoid bots can fire a flare.
That said, it's a lot easier to kill every small humanoid bot than it is to kill literally every bug other than chargers.
It needs to be commander/leader of pod only. There's no fricking reason to bother with a sniper rifle or recceing the enemy if any jackass can just call in the support. Better to just massively explosive them.
When it comes to the big bots what exactly are you meant to do? Can any weapon hurt their weakpoints or do you have to use anti tank stuff? Ive heard impacts are good.

a lot of people have noticed that, and given they buffed the EAT without putting it in the patch notes whilst also modifying the difficult of exterminate missions i think they probably did accidentally increase the bug spawn rate
there was an unexplained mechanic where if you didnt hit armor right it'd ricochet, they removed that so you can strip charger leg armor in 1 hit now from any angle

You can damamge it with light fire if you dont shoot the armor on top. In general, you have to think of these monsters as not having one whole bar of HP but individual HP bars for their body parts, and if one of them hits 0 the monster dies.
I think a lot of the confusion comes from the game not having a bestiary like the first game does to show more information on how the mobs are assembled.

that is part of it, but conventional wisdom says that an enemy that comes at you and is armored on the front would be weak on the back, it even has a glowing ass, yet that's not the weak spot, the fricking legs are...and its the only enemy that does this in the ENTIRE game, minus the hunters I guess since they can slice at you even when headless for some reason

I mean, it still is. If you blast its ass open it'll still bleed out and die which can be done with mostly any weapon, some just more efficient than others. You can also blast the armor off the legs to let light arms finish the job with certain weapons, and it's up to the team to coordinate on who can deal with what and what you're going to be facing.

That's the biggest problem. You can frick Bot Tanks over from behind with any reasonably big weapon, Chargers if you try to do the same thing take no damage.

these cant be difficulty related; two seem like outright automaton related, one seems vaguely illuminate related and the green arrows look just weird. but they also dont follow the design of the first 3.
i doubt its intended to be crafting materials exclusively; i also doubt it's going to be that many for upgrades when they seem keen to have visual effects on the ships for upgrades. we have a vehicle bay to add but i doubt it'll take that many materials. they also said that they dont really have customization of armor appearances really in mind but they did want to look into doing it.

Gives me an idea of a flag stratagem that could provide small combat buffs but increases enemy visual range on you by like 50%. You could plant it in a fight or use it to distract enemy patrols.
It's buggy as frick. Sometimes it works great and it's amazing. Other times it won't lock onto frick all. One-shotting chargers and tanks feels great when it actually works.

I've noticed that it seems more consistent if you're on the same level as the thing you're trying to lock on. I was in that same position as your webm, I dropped down and it locked on almost right away.
Which I'm pretty sure isn't intentional. If/when they fix it I'll start loving the spear much more. I had the same issue last night trying to lock onto hulks and I couldn't get a single lock all match. I did manager to lock onto a tank and kill it in one hit.

Devastators go down in like 2 or 3 hits, walkers are very inconsistent and will either die quickly or take a lot of hits; tanks, tank turret towers, and hulks take a lot hits

Yeah I won't touch armor vs bugs, light medic for me since speed and stam is king, bugs have too many stunlocks and slowing options. Medium and heavy are both fine for bots though
The only time armor has worked for me against bugs is when my whole team was using it without any shotguns.
Then if someone got swarmed everyone would just shoot the bugs off him and he'd still have half his health left.
Dont use armour on bugs, theyre all melee so its better to just keep your distance and have speed, its way better for bots who can shoot you.

the railgun nerf wasn't about balance, it was about making sure the free weapons suck and the weapons you pay extra for are the only viable ones
even worse there are variants of guns coming down the pipe for example 2 more versions of the breaker that have different handling attributes such as recoil and damage. This kind of thing could've been simple upgradable customization but instead they make them completely different guns you have to pay for if you want them

You're either lying or willfilly ignorant. The premium warbonds costs 1000 sc. You can get around 30 sc / match. The first 2 levels of the regular bonds give you 100 sc, but each subsequent sc reward in the bonds after that will only give you 30-50 sc, and they space them out between every second tier, and then every third tier.
This makes it unfeasible to farm enough credits to buy the premium warbond, and ultimately you need to spend money to unlock the premium weapon rewards.

Brother, I've got 1100 SC farmed from scratch doing like two days of casually farming for an hour or so. 30-40SC every 2min, 150-200 every 10min, 900-1200 every hour. It is trivially easy to get SC if you want it.

its literally exceptionally useful. you can 1 tap or 2 tap titans, one rocket strips leg armor and the gun makes short work of brood commanders and warriors (and stripped chargers). small bugs arent even an issue and you can essentially use them to genocide the entire horizon while your team gets shit done. you can blow your load with the ammo then start hauling ass out of it. it is EXACTLY like HD1 where they were used to obliterate objectives and clear an entire area before moving on.

I've got Steeled Veterans, I've bought every armor on rotation in the store, and I still have over 1500sc just chilling waiting for more warbonds and armors to drop.
While it's possible they could add more Strategems to warbonds in the future, the only precedent we have is the single post-launch strategem they've added (the first mech) being free to everyone because the community did stuff during the galactic campaign.
It's so easy to grind SC by just running around low-level missions and ripping open containers then ESC -> Return to Ship. All medals, reqs, and SC picked up during the mission is immediately added to your totals no need to extract.

This is a hunter I think, genuinely nothing you can do about them without EMS. Stalkers are annoying but you'll hardly fight more than you can deal with and you can just blow up their nest.

Not by much truth be told. Normal bots kill you in 4 or 5 shots in light armor. It's only 8 to 10 with the 200 heavy armor, assuming you don't take a headshot.
But that's a lot, 3-4 even 5 shot difference is you getting your stim off or straight up dying, and I've seen that happen to myself way too many times to call it a coincidence

Light Armor for bugs - Outrunning them is the best solution
Heavy Armor for bots - Since you can't outrun a plasma shot

The RR would need to be buffed to the point it can compete with the spear in terms of damage.

The Railgun eats ammo quickly and when you're out, you have to scrounge around for more, just like everything else, unless you're carrying around a Supply Pack. Even then, you're only carrying 20. I could accept it being a capacity of 10 rounds, but that'd frick up the game just as much.

Almost every map ill have more than 3-7 super credit drops across it though.
rare to find a bunch in one spot, but not rare to find multiple pickups in one map. I can come back with 30-120 SC depending on how the dice rolls and how meticulous I am aka a Radar Tower side objective. I have gotten 3 SC pick-ups a couple of times though so it is possible.

Personally I preferred hanging in 7, doubt you'd know this but at those levels the cooldowns on all your call-ins are about 3 mins, and the arc gun has a great flow breaking 15 second charge up time before killing 3 grunts and annoying a mid level enemy, that may blow your hair back down on 3 but in more rarified air we need something with real oomph so we can make the team stronger.
I know big powerful guns upset you and fun isn't in your vocabulary but maybe you should switch to a simpler game and stop sucking up to people who talk shit to your face online

2 500kg bombs with 2 minute reload time is more than enough to clear a bunch of heavies. If any more are spawning during your reload then you or your team is fricking up bad.

You can start firing it faster after the first shot. It doesn't have to be charged all the way, but you have to get the timing right.
the trick is to hip fire instead of using the reticle while aiming. there's a very obvious sound and visual cue when it's charged.

The fricked part of the game, is the short length of time to stop mobs from calling in reinforcements. Sure, the Bots you just gotta kill the Commander.
But the bugs, you have to be looking at the bug that's doing the call-in or you're fricked by another elite. Even if you do prevent a bug from calling in, another almost IMMEDIATELY starts the call in.

If the commander is down, any of the small humanoid bots can fire a flare.
That said, it's a lot easier to kill every small humanoid bot than it is to kill literally every bug other than chargers.
Don't engage enemies you're not prepared to wipe out quickly.
It needs to be commander/leader of pod only. There's no fricking reason to bother with a sniper rifle or recceing the enemy if any jackass can just call in the support. Better to just massively explosive them.
just switch it to unsafe mode, quickly aim down the sight while charging, and shoot

a lot of people have noticed that, and given they buffed the EAT without putting it in the patch notes whilst also modifying the difficult of exterminate missions i think they probably did accidentally increase the bug spawn rate

You can damamge it with light fire if you dont shoot the armor on top. In general, you have to think of these monsters as not having one whole bar of HP but individual HP bars for their body parts, and if one of them hits 0 the monster dies.
I think a lot of the confusion comes from the game not having a bestiary like the first game does to show more information on how the mobs are assembled.

that is part of it, but conventional wisdom says that an enemy that comes at you and is armored on the front would be weak on the back, it even has a glowing ass, yet that's not the weak spot, the fricking legs are...and its the only enemy that does this in the ENTIRE game, minus the hunters I guess since they can slice at you even when headless for some reason

Its crafting materials, we know that customization is coming later. Its what the terminals across from the armoury are.
i doubt its intended to be crafting materials exclusively; i also doubt it's going to be that many for upgrades when they seem keen to have visual effects on the ships for upgrades. we have a vehicle bay to add but i doubt it'll take that many materials. they also said that they dont really have customization of armor appearances really in mind but they did want to look into doing it.

No. Enemy health/damage/numbers is the same for any number of players. Maps don't get any extra POI or anything weird.

It's buggy as frick. Sometimes it works great and it's amazing. Other times it won't lock onto frick all. One-shotting chargers and tanks feels great when it actually works.

I've noticed that it seems more consistent if you're on the same level as the thing you're trying to lock on. I was in that same position as your webm, I dropped down and it locked on almost right away.
Which I'm pretty sure isn't intentional. If/when they fix it I'll start loving the spear much more. I had the same issue last night trying to lock onto hulks and I couldn't get a single lock all match. I did manager to lock onto a tank and kill it in one hit.
You need to be eye level for fast locks, kneeling helps as well as spear prefers cool looking chads who look the part.
