Loved the first one, never expected to actually see a sequel. It mentions the camera angles being adjusted for the trailer but I wonder if it'll be pulled back a lot more in-game to match the first one as a twin stick shooter or if it's changed to a more generic 3rd person shooter.

Killing alien bugs are cool, but it's nice to have the option to Hispanice it up when committing warcrimes.

helldivers was great at launch but they kept pushing p2w dlc shit and half the inventory was locked with paid dlc
I thought this name sounded familiar. I think the first Helldivers was one of the first games that Sony ever made free on PS+. Think i downloaded it out of curiosity, played it once, then deleted.
This one looks pretty cool though.

helldivers is not a sony game, sony is the publisher, but arrowhead owns it.

They should've doubled down on the top down shooter route but made each player have their own individual camera that followed just them instead of tying everyone to a small circle of play. These games suffer bad from that design choice, so many go this route and it just blows.
Starship Troopers Extermination already beat them to the punch and will probably end up being much better
opposite sentiment of 'early access Starship Troopers Extermination is probably going to get cucked really hard by Helldivers full release,' which is a shame because having multiple successful flavors of the same thing is usually nice
if both garner success that'd be great though

it's likely they will, and more a question of whether they do so in the same DLC packages or not, or make all that shit available through grind with a pay-to-skip affair
I'm more interested in what outright NEW shit they could add, I want a short-barrel Bastion variant with extra HE splash in exchange for less raw damage to single armored targets, luv me assault guns
and on that point, I hope they make it so vehicles can have their ammo resupplied if they aren't destroyed, it was a shame that once they ran dry the 1-and-done callins were truly done for the mission; on high difficulties, it meant you either saved all that shit for the very end and overkilled, or used it up early/midway and didn't have it for extract, and ALSO meant that vehicle call-ins might not pull their weight through a spongey boss fight versus other call-ins that were unlimited but timer'd
