Rootkit
>plays games from capcom, squeenix, valve, riot games, and sega
>cries about rootkits
the eternal Ganker
I don't play games from Riot games and I've stopped playing Capcom games since they have Enigma DOH
>if i lie to the internet, they'll believe me
When did Valve ever get accused of over invasive anti cheat? You can even play their games online with a VM
>install steam
>giving all of your information to 1 company
>storing all of your games within one store because you hate launchers
>thinking a corporation cares about you and not the data you provide to make $$$
lol
lmao even
pcbros
>Say bad word
>VAC BAN
can you still capespin
>they just copy pasted every shit 3d person shooter from the past decade
>that fricking UI
i don't care about live service games
P2W
>FOMO shop armors will possibly have unique stats / passive combinations
It's unironically over, abandon ship
Game doesn't look very fun to play.
10 or 15 years ago people even outside of Ganker would be crying to high heaven about how this game has been bastardized, lost all originality and doesn't looks or feels remotely like the first one
Nowadays people just dont care about videogames anymore.
I'm cautiously optimistic. Half the homosexuals here crying will buy it day one unless they are terminally online niggis crying, pissing, farting and shitting their pants full.
>heehee I can't answer that right now :^)
better start getting comfortable with the idea that this game is going to be a p2w piece of garbage
Now need to look for where to blow my money, Genshin, other gatcha or Helldivers. Damn.
Actually got an answer for this
Each armor has stats (DR, sprint recovery, stamina) and a passive (more limb resistance, better throwing). The armor in the Superstore won’t have exclusive passives, but may have exclusive combinations of stats and passives
Now this would be fine if the Premium Currency is earned as frequently as they claim it is, but they’ve dodged around giving a specific numeric on how much is earned and at what rate. Supposedly they’ll tell us Monday but idfk
>Now this would be fine
no it wouldn't
It would be fine assuming everything they’re saying about the premium currency is at face-value (that it’s “super easy and fair to earn and that you’ll get more than enough through regular gameplay)
If it was exclusively real money I’d agree with you
Do you honestly believe a company that has been obfuscating and distorting the truth to that extent is going to let you earn enough premium currency to pay for both warbonds and FOMO non-cosmetic armors?
I don’t believe it at all, that’s why I’m saying that the SC system seems ok at *face-value*
We don’t know any numerical data and they’ve been very reluctant to provide it. It also doesn’t help that harder missions don’t change the amount of SCs you get
Yes, because this system is a noted improvement over their actual p2w system in the first game and the devs have a history of being genuine
Its just a bunch of newbie pc gays who've never played a magicka or gauntlet game before shitposting on Ganker for easy replies because hating shit mindlessly is content here.
I've played magicka and the Innsmouth DLC is broken.
>devs have a history of being genuine
lol lmao
>we totally hate p2w and FOMO guys
>oh here's this rotating premium shop, don't worry it's just armors
>we might add stratagems to it, we'll see :^)
>oh and the armors in the shop aren't cosmetic actually
Also, the stupid b***h CM straight up lied and got away with it, see pic related
>the devs have a history of being genuine
The devs have no history, their last game was almost a decade ago, it might as well be a completely new studio
When will you morons learn any reputation a developer has lasts 2, maybe 3 years before you should assume everyone competent has been replaced until proven otherwise
>$3 dollar DLCs are worse than the entire progression system being fricked by predatory tactics
We know SC is given early in missions, so start a mission get the SC and purposely lose. You don't get more the higher the difficulty.
And everyone in the mission when the credits are found gets them.
The only real question is how much. Do you get just one credit so a helmet takes 300 missions to buy from the ship? We just don't know. For me the most important thing is how many super credits we can get from a POI.
it is also instantly credited to your save - unlike research samples.
Problem is, you're likely only getting 1-10 SC per POI, if they give anything at all.
At roughly 1000SC+ per warbond, you're looking at 100+ drop in drop outs.
Completely warbonds likely going to be the bulk of SC players accumulate. As long as there is no inflation, and no diminishing credits from warbonds, it will mostly be OK
Assuming you're playing from day one. Research Samples are going to be the real bottleneck. Calling it.
If the core game is fun, that amount is honestly not terrible. Getting "everything" would absolutely be a grind but getting the few things you actually want probably won't be.
We'll see
These convoluted systems are all designed to be predatory - difficult to parse and easy to 'adjust'. Even if everything is REALLY optimistic day one, expect the situation to deteriorate with every single premium warbond released.
Which honestly won't be a big deal for anyone playing consistently since release, but it will smother any audience from joining.
Given you can buy warbonds for real money, but not the parts inside them, I suspect unlocking a warbond for a collection of goods (i.e. Fire based stratagems) will cost more than the parts inside (i.e. flamethrower).
So you can skip most of the grind by buying the warbonds you want, similar to buying DLC you want in HD1.
Oh that's fricked, I'm cancelling my preorder.
>>
>> p2w

holy shit you are pathetic
How is Startship Troopers Extermination
I got helldivers 1 like 3 nights ago and its kinda fun, playing with people is aids. I cant fricking wait for actual good AI. I never want to play games with humans again
I thought it was modded new vegas from the thumbnail
Can't these Black folk at least update the first game so you can actually play it singleplayer
>singleplayer helldivers
Lmao, frick off
I'd love singleplayer irl too. Also helldivers 2 will be filled to the absolute brim with PC hackers. Wait and see.
>NOOOOOO YOU CAN'T HAVE A COOL TWIN STICK SHOOTER WHERE THE WHOLE CAMPAIGN AND WHAT MISSIONS YOURE ALLOWED TO PLAY ISN'T CONTROLLED BY INTERNET moronS
Yes, literally. That isn't the purpose of HD. Go play The Ascent you dumb Black person.
At least we get the mech after the launch,i thought they abandoned the vehicles
I can't stand the HUD, it looks shit
The only actual valid complaint in this thread. The UI looks like a place holder or like some cheap asset flip.
>embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.reddit.com%2F&feature=emb_title
lmao get the frick off of this website
The first game was fun and felt like a new thing, this is just another horde looter shooter, we already have plenty of.
looks kino, is this day one on Gamepass? might grab this on my Series S for couchplay
microsoft not allowed
>Snoy
>pozzed
>100+GB
>cash shop
>premium currency for skins/weapons
>no vehicles
>online only
>need a Snoy account to play
>DRM on top of DRM on top of DRM
>will almost certainly be horribly optimised
What went so, so wrong?
Ganker can't talk about video games and will rage day in and out until everyone's lights go out. Bet half the population here is sitting ten hours on this board shitting up every thread they can see, instead of playing video games.
>posting evidence that devs are lying homosexuals is doomposting
I wanted this game to be good, I wouldn't be on discord scrapping every bit of info possible otherwise, but the latest news we got is the straw that broke the camel's back.
Enjoy your blissful ignorance while it lasts anon
The community manager making a mistake that's cleared up later isn't lying on the devs -or any-ones- part...
>making a mistake
It was clearly a damage control tactic as people were getting mad about the shop but wathever
They don't exactly lie but they've been non stop manipulating and omitting information about monetization:
They said they don't like FOMO and p2w, they never said they'll never put it in the game
They said the FOMO shop contains armor, they never said they wouldn't add stratagems to it (and are now implying they will)
They said shop armor passives equivalents could be found in warbonds, they never said passive + stats combinations could be
Every day we get closer to release, one of their tricks get revealed, if you're still optimistic despite all that I don't know what to tell you
>paypig doing twice your damage is okay because it's co-op
>3 days until release
Hope it's not a case where wallet warriors will outclass everyone. Not even sure why or how they want to sell cosmetic mtx, when every armour looks super bland.
The free warbond apparently has enough super credits in it for you to buy the paid for warbond when you finish it, so for at least the first month everyone has access to the same stuff.
No that one was a mistake, some moronic redditor misread a response to something else and posted it without checking. Even before that it was clarified what the SuperStore was
They are heavily omitting the SC earnage though. We know everything else but it doesn't matter until we know the rate at which SCs are earned and how much they cost.
>They don't exactly lie but they've been non stop manipulating and omitting information about monetization
If they weren't lying then say so to begin with. I don't see any manipulation out-side of obvious PR from the CM and idiots running with the wrong idea, and that's barely 'manipulation' to begin with.
Also, omitting info is only an issue if you're too stupid to wait for it to be given; they'll either give it later on or you'll get it when the game releases; just don't pre-order if you're worried.
>They said they don't like FOMO and p2w, they never said they'll never put it in the game
Legal speak. They can't say it won't be in with-out opening themselves up potential issues if they do so, even accidentally.
>They said the FOMO shop contains armor, they never said they wouldn't add stratagems to it (and are now implying they will)
They said the 'FOMO' shop only contains armour (at the time.) The statement that Strategems might be added strikes me more as them leaving the option on the table. I do agree it'd be bad if they do.
>They said shop armor passives equivalents could be found in warbonds, they never said passive + stats combinations could be
We barely have info on stats effects so we'll have to wait to see if that really matters or will even be an issue.
>Every day we get closer to release, one of their tricks get revealed, if you're still optimistic despite all that I don't know what to tell you
Name one trick that isn't you being stupid, or some-thing that could be meaningless depending on the earn-rate for SC.
One or two days until release and we'll see.I still have my hopes up, but won't pre-order, lol.
EDF?
>live service
Dead on arrival
how would a game like this work without constant new content?
are you moronic?
>Bro why would I play a game if there's no battlepass for me to grind, how am I supposed to be bussin if I don't buy new cosmetics daily ong
Goals are what drive people to continually play games, especially an issue with online games. If an online game cant maintain its playerbase through goals then it collapses. So your options are either things like battlepasses or taking the paid yearly expansion route.
A good gameplay loop can have someone playing a game. I kept playing DRG for hundreds of hours past I 100% the game just to play for fun almost daily. And DRG had free battlepasses where at the end of each one they simply put all the items into the game's loot drops.
The other anon is somewhat right. Today's climate, it's necessary for the masses to have a carrot on a stick to keep them engaged, or to lure them back if they take breaks. People got conditioned to.
People playing a game for the sake of it are probably the exception to some regard.
DRG is playable offline
Has none of the other nonsense
Still has content being added expanded and updated.
DRG wouldn't have survived as long as it has without support - but it offers that support without the wealth of scummy live service tactics.
Helldivers 2 will get plenty of content additions over time, its not just a battlepass.
That has nothing to do with what I said
The point is everything Helldivers 2 is trying to do can be done without the "live service" and all of the anti-consumer bullshit that comes with it.
but they aren't.
>he hasn't played the first one
the entire point of the game is fighting a continous, persistent galactic war through community goals. helldivers 1 was live service before live service, and even this has much more soul than capeshit slop or COD.
That's not live service moron, it had regular DLCs just like any other game, the war wasn't connected to the monetisation or the content releases. It was also the worst and most pointless thing about the game
>Developers have to write multiple pages explaining to people how their blatant P2W battle pass isn't P2W and why they need 20 currencies in the game
Ganker has never been conducive to critical thinking, instead deciding to shitpost about anything and everything. The real deciding factor for a lot of people on the fence is how easy it is to get these super credits, as that is what will decide if you can get the monthly warbonds in a reasonable time. They've said they'll release more info tomorrow, so maybe that will be part of it.
If it takes a lot more than a month to get enough SC to get a typical warbond, that'll be trash.
Developers wouldnt make a system to allow you to pay to skip a grind and then make the grind easy.
Are these Helldiver games doable solo?
>Helldivers 2
i guess this is a co-op shooter? very important question, does it have any enemy special grabs like in l4d, where you're basically helpless until a teammate frees you?
Your teammates are going to die
IF there are special enemy grabs, where you're basically helpless until a teammate frees you, expect your teammate to just put a bullet in your head and call in a Reinforce to respawn you.
No, opposite. If the enemy gets close you're simply dead instantly. The upside is that calling people back into the fight is as easy as pressing up down right left up.
Nope, the schtick is that you have a very low health pool and friendly fire is enabled. If an enemy is close enough to grab you, you're already dead. At least that was the case in Helldivers 1
any word if it's good single-player?
my friends won't play this type of game, they're too PC-centric (strategy games, etc.)
Its simply not a single player game and its stupid to attempt it. Its exactly like DRG or Vermintide, you just jump in with random players and get a good coop experience.
I will say DRG solo can be a nice little bit of stress relief. but DRG also has a bit of that I guess what people call "comfy" game play of doing easily repeatable stuff in the mining parts.
I can only assume you can make a private game to do missions on your own if you really want, but I don't see even the lowest difficulty being as much of a "turn your brain off and decompress" kind of game as low Haz Solo DRG is.
HD1 had that experience too but it was largely pointless. You can depress by just doing lower difficulties with people, taking it slow and bringing really big guns against very small bugs.
