Anon. It wasn't review bombed. DD2 had legitimate performance issues on release. It's negative reviews were mostly spot on. Ran like shit due to the NPC Cpu issue. No new game plus, MTX although effectively pointless was still there. It was one of Capcom's worse optimized game releases in recent years.

If a game gets updated and it break the game, it will get swarmed with negative reviews because the reviews are legitimate and complaining about the game itself no longer working. One is a legitimate, natural, customer reaction. The other is a coordinated, off topic, effort to tank a game's value for reasons completely unrelated to the game.
