What do you do to get around the phone number requirements on accounts these days? What VOIP actually works for such things anymore? They began filtering them out years back. You can't use most VPNs to access a lot of bigger websites anymore. A lot of the 'behind seven proxies' talk is getting more and more outdated. They want your real identity, completely verifiably so, attached to everything you do online, so it can be bought and sold, so you can be tracked by your government.

Its not an extra launcher like buying games that required Uplay or Origins. In those situations steam was just running an .exe for the launcher not the game, but in this case steam is running the game and link the account through the in-game menu connecting it to PSN servers for verification, meaning Sony WILL have access to your steam account information and beisdes the fact that i dont want to give any info to them, remember that sony has been hacked 3 times since the ps3 era when PSN accounts were created and in all those cases the information of those accounts was compromised.

They want your real identity, completely verifiably so, attached to everything you do online, so it can be bought and sold, so you can be tracked by your government.

Steam needs to step up and require all games on steam must be fully playable with only a steam account. It's a fair trade, you get access to Steam's massive costumer base you play by steam's rules.
