It's implied that he was previously more powerful and his tampering with shit that gave him the magic vacuum in his chest is connected to his depowering.
>the tadpole resets them to level one
So let me get this straight, the tadpole drains demigod tier people of xp until they're level 1 to turn them into a level 9 mindflayer? And this is the master plan to take over the world?
The "regular" tadpoles work differently, and transform someone within hours. Hence why Lae'zel is in such a hurry. And yes, even in older editions "new" mind flayers didn't retain their host's levels.
So not only are there "special" tadpoles, you're also in possession of a magic bullshit device that somehow stops your tadpole from working. So that's two layers of magic bullshit
Yes because the tadpoles are covered in netherese magic

Because the game implies that Gale specifically was depowered from his "accident" and not specifically from the tadpoles, unlike the others

You REALLY don't want to read Forgotten Realms novels, then.
I made the mistake of reading some of the stuff around the Time of Troubles stuff (when the gods were turned into mortals temporarily by the overseer god Ao as punishment for them not acting as they should, before going through trials to become gods again). It was some of the worst less-than amateur hour writing I've ever read.

>As we've already pointed out the plot that the fat lesbians and fat homosexuals wrote have demigod level 20 characters being deleveled to level 1, not level 1 characters being leveled up to level 9
RPG levels/mechanics have always been wonky.
Elminster's levels has changed across editions. Not really supposed to think of it as a concrete thing about a character, but a relative thing to represent how strong someone is (and like comics, can change around depending on campaign/writers)
Shit like this makes me think theyre eventually do a Torment game where you can punch the Lady of Pain in the face or something. Some things should never have stats.
It really makes no sense when you consider what those levels are supposed to represent. Lae'zel is supposedly a skilled fighter, but losing levels means she can't swing a sword as good? Okay. Wyll and Shadowheart lose their levels, so their patrons stop gifting them powers despite having proved their service because...I don't know why? But they get those same spells right back if they level up again.
I mean, yeah. If you drain a demigod power guy who's against you and turn him into a cog in your war machine, that's a pretty big benefit for your side. It means you don't have to fight that demigod guy.
Mind control is one of the easier things for a mage to safeguard against. It would be surprising for a mage NOT to have a counter already on them for it since it would be an obvious go-to, if it wasn't for the fact that any powerful magic user would already expect it.

See
Mind Blast still gets them, they have to be able to know that a Mindflayer is already after them.
Mind Blank doesn't technically block the stun effect of Mind Blast. Just the psychic damage.
That said, they're less likely to have been affected since Mages are proficient in Int saving throws.

Your words. Almost.
In this case, not too important since the game already implies that the orb absorbed most of his power at the start, as it eats the Weave. He likely only survived because there was that much Weave to take from him, before needing to resort to magic items.
As a side-note, stunning is one of the more powerful conditions. Very very few creatures are immune to stun. Even dragons and devils can be stunned, and there isn't really a spell to prevent the condition.

That McGuffin was based on old lore about the fall of Netheril long before BG3 was even a thing. Absorbing the Weave and dropping all magic from the realms and how that lead mage temporarily achieved godhood is setting lore.
They're just using the setting's own lore for story. Can obviously complain about ideas in the Forgotten Realms, but if it's already a thing within the setting and it's used, it's silly to specifically get upset at the thing using that lore.

There's a shit ton to criticize about, but he's trying very moronic angles to criticize from.
Wouldn't it easy for a demi god like character to recover their strength(level) any way since they're familiar with how to become stronger? Being vulnerable in weaken state would make them desperate & more likely to use the tadpole's power as clutch which will end up driving them closer to becoming a mindflayer.
every character in the game has virtually the same backstory
the problem is larian sucks at writing and needs all their companions to be super important powerful people at level 1, which completely misses the point of a crpg being you and your companions growing together.
Instead they replaced this with bioware style loyalty missions. it's completely lazy and uninspired BUT could have been good if anybody on their writing team had any talent
legitimately whoever okayed the mindflayer plot is a complete moron and shouldn't have any control in game development

The mind flayer plot arose when the game wasn't even supposed to be a sequel to the previous ones - it was planned to be a hard reboot with the same title, like BG3: The Black Hound was before it got cancelled.
Then, somewhere along the lines, WotC gave Larian the creative freedom to make a "proper" sequel. That's also when references to the previous games started being added to the EA.
And apparently somewhere further down the line Larian realized that a LOT of people would have no idea about Bhaalspawn, The Time of Troubles, The Dead Three etc., since they never played the previous games nor know the lore, so then decided to separate the two storylines - hence how The Dark Urge came to be.

ah so it's a genuine mental illness, got it. probably a redditor or eratard to boot.
the only game to ever narratively implement RPG stats in a cohesive and well-done manner is Vagrant Story
any other game and you might as well just disregard them completely, because that is almost certainly what the writers did.
Who was the strongest character pre-deleveling? Minsc and Jaheera were level 20 at some point of their lives, but they are a weird case since they don't have tadpoles. Wyll says in one of his dialogues that he could solo a Hill Giant without breaking a sweat, but that's not much of an accomplishment. Karlach fought for 10 years in the front lines of the Blood War and lived, so she was really strong. And Gale was Mystra's Chosen, and he describes in dialogue that he was at the cusp of reaching beyond the limits of mortal magic, so maybe he was also near level 20 at some point?
did jaheria have a reason for being low level too? b***h is 150 years old, she should be level 50 by now
Throne of Bhaal is canon so Minsc and Jaheira should both be 30-40. The tadpole asspull and being encased in stone for decades could explain Minsc's depowering. Jaheira should be able to solo everything shy of a Godlike being, though. My headcanon/theory is that she hasn't fought much in the past 100 years and got old so she depowered; it's a shitty explanation but as someone said already, RPG mechanics are basically disregarded in terms of storytelling.
My headcanon is that the ToB party was Charname, Imoen, Aerie, Mazzy, Jan and Sarevok. Jahiera got booted in Chateau Irenicus and never levelled up again.
That's not the point though is it, the purpose of changing people into mindflayers is procreation, larian writers can't even undnerstand dnd worldbuilding
It's like saying you're going to take over the world with a thousand level 1 jobbers because the person that wrote the story has no understanding of powerlevels
A monster's challenge rating is NOT equivalent to player character levels, a CR 9 Mindflayer isn't a level 9 monster, it's a monster designed to be taken on by 4 level 9 characters which means they are absolute killing machines in a world where most people are 4 HP commoners. You'd know this if you knew the first thing about DnD but you'd rather dribble on about things you obviously have no idea about because you have some kind of brain parasite that makes you enjoy having arguments on the internet.
Shame that you hate them so much, because that absolutely is Mind Flayer behaviour (the pathetic sort)

I mean shit dude if you want another flaw in the plan, species like dwarves and halflings cant even become mindflayers since it guarantees death for the tadpole AND host, yet you cna pick those species meaning some moron actually caught a forbidden species and THEN slapped a tadpole in em just because.
Game has flaws.
Not stated, maybe something about their biology differs to much from humans and elves. Maybe illithid require a very narrow range of body types for the process to work correctly(finally a benefit to manletism). "But anon, they can infect dragons and make mindflayer dragons!' It is a well known fact that dragons can mate with anything.
Is that flaw not fixed by the magic used to keep the tadpoles from squidding you, but still allowing the elder brain to control those not possessing a nether stone ot the astral prism?
Delevel a threat to basic b***h and then shape them to how you want them to be makes far more sense than taking control of them while they are at the top of their game and risking them breaking free. We see this with Emperor and the like that basic b***hes can resist.

yeah not buying it, more like they didn't care if it made sense
iirc in AD&D a druid couldnt get past level 11 or something without fighting a 12th level druid for their position and then they had to establish a grove and their grove had to defeat a 13th level druids grove for them to become level 13 and then they had to kill the arch druid to get any higher than level 13. In bg2 it was expressed by making the exp table for druids take twice as much exp to go from 12 to 20 as every other class, even the slow ones like wizard.
It made it a really great dual class because you could reach level 9 pretty early in bg1 since they required less exp for the front half of their level curve so you could dip into the second class faster. all you really wanted from druid was the low level cleric spells + iron skin at level 9 anyways but you are probably better off going something like fighter dual into wizard if you wanted casting + martial perks.
Jaheira's deal is that she's old
that's it
you find a scroll of eternal youth or some shit in her basement which she kept in case she needed to juice up but that never goes anywhere
she just goes "I trust you win this fight for us"
moron, at least do basic research. The tadpole causes every person infested with it to reset to level 1. The Dark Urge was the leader of the Bhaal cult in Baldur's Gate, for one example. It's also why Minsc isn't an epic powerhouse.
It’s literally stated that the tadpole resets them to level one. wyll claims he could summon hell beasts before the tadpole.
Not true for Gale. During his intro on character selection, he mentions he used to be much more powerful. In his case, it was the Orb™ that weakened him.
Wyll is the only one turning canonically weak because of the tadpole. Karlach is weaker too, but because the engine doesn't work well outside avernus.
SH and lae zel don't get weaker, they are just above average soldiers/agents.
Astarion isn't a fighter
Every companion in this game feels like they're a character made by one of those attention prostitutes with main character syndrome one of your buddies brought to the DnD session.
kek, I was playing tf2 last night and a chick had a mic and some guy said "so annoying" in chat about something unrelated and she came on the mic after not talking for 10 minutes going "what's annoying? am I annoying? Were you talking about me?"

So let me get this straight, the tadpole drains demigod tier people of xp until they're level 1 to turn them into a level 9 mindflayer? And this is the master plan to take over the world?
You're really going to scrape the bottom of the barrel over a game's starting level mechanics? >why aren't all my starting companions level 20

Gale's a charming and loveable buffoon. He's a man that has something every woman or man would want in a partner. He's smart, has a cat, a library, and he's even tried his hand at poetry. What more could anyone want?
Now, now, give Gale a chance. Have you ever spoken to him. That's the main issue I see surrounding the discourse. No one bothers to get to know the guy. Don't worry about the magic items. Just give him your worthless green (uncommons) items three times and that will be it. There's more than meets the eye with Gale much like the rest of the companions on your journey.
I wish autistic men were like this irl. Unfortunately they're never charming and pretty like Gale, they're just spergs and some of them end up fricking their mothers or trooning out.
I will never have my sweet autistic husband...
It was definitely interesting listening to womens reasoning deciding their romance between twink playboy Astarion, athletic perfect son-in-law Gale and preachy roidtroony Halsin.
Overall I found female player who liked Gale the most pleasant.
Gales voice actor said he was uncomfortable being gay so they made every companion playersexual in response so he couldn’t complain about men romancing him
I think that in the time of political correctness a left leaning actor (ESPECIALLY british) wouldn't have the guts to openly say he feels uncomfortable with voice acting for a non straight character
The game weakens a god tier character so that he can get caught by jobbers so that he can be further weakened so he can be a companion
They're actors, I don't think they really care about the sexuality of the character they're portraying. If that were so then I doubt many straight actors would be keen on playing characters that weren't.
That sounds like a made-up story, considering the Mystra lover background. At most, he would've been bi to begin with, which would effectively make zero difference from being playersexual.
Reminder that a mortal human jobber named Cyric got lucky and accidentally god ahold of a sword that was secretly the god Mask, and killed Bhaal with it to take on his divine portfolio becoming the new Lord of Murder. (long before Baldur's Gate games)
Entire reason Bhaal needed to be resurrected.

But they won't. Calling Asians "bug people" isn't just a meme. Most of them really do blindly follow rules.

You can even see it in their tweets about BG3 - half of them talk about using walkthroughs/the strategy guide. On their first playthrough.
One of the main benefits of Dark Urge is that i can safely dispose of this fricker before i even see his ugly mug
He's like THAT guy's OC in the tabletop
Baldurs gate is such a drag I’m 15 hours in and doesn’t feel like I’m making any progress this game is so unnecessarily long and bloated with useless things like 100 different feats and spells it’s overwhelming for newcomers like me. I switched to east to make it a bit more tolerable but the game still sucks.
Never played DND before, but I made a necromancer and opened the scary skull book and also got a new hag eye. Can I corrupt myself even further? Do companions get attack you if you do too much evil shit?
No they added in a scene where you go with her to Avernus and then at the party 6 months later, there's a teaser of being able to fix it for good in Avernus
>hey protag! Can I talk to you in private? Its urgent. >this must be about his curse. > proposes to me on a full moonlit night. >Ive only known him for an hour.
What is wrong with this game?
>90% of the discussion of BG3 and the new Rogue Trader RPG is just coomer cancer
It really is that easy to get nerds to buy and praise your game, isn't it? Just insert breasts and wieners and romance options
I mean yeah that's been true for decades at this point. Bioware figured it out, everyone followed. You wanna trick normalggays into playing RPGs, just insert a sex sim on the side.
It's weird too. Like a decade ago if a game like this came out, it'd probably be unanimously liked on Ganker and not nearly as many people angry at its existence.
>how old is Gale
Unknown, possibly mid to late 30's. >how tall is he
Unknown, possibly 6ft. >how big is his wand
Unknown, without magic probably average. >is he dominant, submissive, or a switch
I'd say he's vers. In what we see in his scenes he takes the active role. However he does duplicate himself, partaking in multiple roles in the astral plane for brief moments.
I can never see him as a top with his behavior. It's mostly his deep rooted insecurity and fear of disappointing people that's forcing him to act like a top.
A romanced Gale is so obviously blind by love that you can be a mass murderer or killer squid and he's still smitten.
Gale is cool and all but we need a real reliable daddy male companion that's not constantly asking for your validation. The male ones we have all act like teenagers and Halsin is too coombrained.
Recruitable Dark Urge, of course. Give him cold, mysterious aura and talks way too much when murder is involved so that other people in party would just stare blankly when he rarely say anything.
I know it'd be more work to integrate him as a proper companion. But I hope that happens in a definitive edition of the game. I mean he already has a canon appearance and class. We see his body in act 3, I don't see why he can't be a companion. I'd probably play as Gale, redeem Durge, and then ascended us both.
I'm sure redemption and godhood will be more than enough for Durge. If not Gale can be persuasive.

Only chance for Gale to curb the urge is sucking him dry which is impossible because Gale is perma bottom and would fold 5 minutes in.

I don't know, I think he could manage. Especially in his spectral form with his duplicates in the astral plane. As seen here

That's cool and all but can he do it every night?

He's a wizard, I am certain that is but one of many ways he's experimented with magic in the bedroom. He's even had the "Art of the Night", a book about the art of the body itself. I doubt he's out of practice. That and Durge is a sorcerer to boot. I wouldn't be surprised if he tried a thing or two.

Also that book is about love making between a king and a queen. Why there's no other books shown that would include buttsex? Why is Gale shown to only read straight smut? That doesn't sound like man interested in buttsex.
One caster as supporter/controller and another is blaster. Try combining an Ice Wizard freezing the field with Storm Sorcerer shooting into puddles after someone else melt the ice.
>i heard romancing gale as a sorcerer is fun
I did so specifically as the Dark Urge since his default class is Storm Sorcerer. You have somewhat of a friendly rivalry between you and Gale due to your innate magical abilities to his investment and knowledge within the craft. >but is it bad to have a sorc and a wizard in the same party
It's always good to have a variety of classes travelling along with you in battle. But for me, I personally haven't faced too many problems. Since the Wizard can learn spells from scrolls, eventually Gale will have a wide arsenal to choose from. The Sorcerer has metamagic which allows the user to add additional effects to magic spells in exchange for Sorcery Points. I usually bring Shadowheart and Astarion to fill their respective roles.
Being gay is just grooming with extra steps. It’s antisocial by nature and desires less people so it creates nothing. I don’t care if they become antique traders out of necessity I’m not letting them sleep in my bed, mom
>he's straight as an arrow
I doubt that. Like everyone else, Gale's bisexual. His relationship with Mystra was nothing but a one-sided affair at best, manipulative at worst. That and he's had prior relationships with other mortals. Though he doesn't go into specifics, I wouldn't be surprised if he knew another man in his past.
I know that script. For the game every character is playersexual, but Gale is straight coded, he never mentions any male affairs and doesn't show any interest in males. Astarion on the other hand brags about male virgins, which is gay as frick, but also shows some attraction signs towards Mizora, so we can say he's canonically bi. Stop pushing your tumblr fantasies on every character
Anon, you're the one using these terms. Straight coded, come on now. Even though Astarion is the most flamboyant of the bunch we see all of the companions express attraction towards both sexes beyond your character. Shadowheart express attraction towards Karlach and Halsin. Wyll flirts with Astarion and Lae'zel. Need I go on?
a) Sorcerers rely on the weave too they just dont need to study and train to use it.
b) Wizards btfo Sorcerer from a gameplay mechanic. Oh you got metamagic points? Ok I have arcane recovery points plus any spell I want to cast instead of your tiny selection.
c) Imagine being a brainlet with a low INT
>ceremorphisis is nearly instant, so instant that "brain surgery" with a knife and a dex check may be necessary, after which "animate dead" or resurrection can be cast >in less than half a day a large part of the person's personality is lost
did larian even think this through
Yes, all the characters even note that they should have transformed after the first long rest. This is explained multiple times later on, once by an actual mind flayer, that something is keeping your tadpoles from performing ceramorphosis.
Yes the story is stupid
why would you put a thing that kills you in a day in the brain of a person that needs to spend a couple months resolving shit, not only that, but give it to everybody else too? And then have a magic bullshit device that protects them and an interloper that doesn't need to exist? That's insanely convoluted for no reason and is horribly cliche
He becomes the god of ambition. But it's not so subtly implied that his ascension is far from good. He becomes more arrogant, much like the rest of the deities in the pantheon.
He becomes the god of ambition. But it's not so subtly implied that his ascension is far from good. He becomes more arrogant, much like the rest of the deities in the pantheon.
Gale is clearly evil in a traditional DnD wizard way. He might whine a bit at random acts of cruelty, but any time you can seize personal power for yourself he approves of it in spite of any costs. He likes it when you make a deal with the hag for power, he likes it when you ready the Thayan tome for power, he likes it when you use necromancy to bind a faerie's soul to a lantern, and he thinks seizing control of the hive mind thing is a great idea. He is evil.
He's more like the burned-out gifted child who thought he could only be valued for his talent/magic and not for the person he was so he was always power hungry and had the ambition to become a god because as a human he never felt "enough". But you as a player can convince him that it doesn't have to be this way and that he's in fact enough the way he is. He's happier as a teacher.
>...who thought he could only be valued for his talent/magic and not for the person he was...But you as a player can convince him that it doesn't have to be this way and that he's in fact enough the way he is. He's happier as a teacher.
You hit the nail on the head. If only more people realized that about Gale.
Gods are like jannies though. You can't use your powers for anything behind enforcing the rules or you get smacked down by an admin (Ao). Id rather be an immortal mortal (???)
>gets high on his big boy energy farts >tries to challenge Mystra >she casually smites him down and turns him into a weave particle
Gale's bad ending is so fricking hilarious this gay is a massive jobber
I'd say in terms of male romance options you got a decent selection. As you can see, the star in this thread is Gale of Waterdeep. One of four male romance options. The others being Astarion the Vampire, Wyll the Blade of Frontiers, and Archdruid Halsin.
He ran away from my party after I didn't give him anything. It was a pretty easy choice since wizards in 5e are gay.
I also stabbed the vampire rogue in the heart when he tried biting me when I was sleeping without hesitation. Again, east choice, rogues are fricking awful in 5e
Hello, GAY, I'm Dad.
thread's done
No you're not homosexual. No girl would ever touch your dick.
is there something you want to talk about anon?
They better not or my wife will get mad :^)
Thread's over, everyone. Pack up and head out.
hell yeah dude that rocks
Hell yeah.
>did I tell you about the time I fricked a God?
>I'm level 1 by the way
It's implied that he was previously more powerful and his tampering with shit that gave him the magic vacuum in his chest is connected to his depowering.
Wyll too. They don't just imply it they both have dialogue early in act 1 that outright says it
It’s literally stated that the tadpole resets them to level one. wyll claims he could summon hell beasts before the tadpole.
>the tadpole resets them to level one
So let me get this straight, the tadpole drains demigod tier people of xp until they're level 1 to turn them into a level 9 mindflayer? And this is the master plan to take over the world?
It's a game dude.
It's a game with a nonsense plot and nonsense characters
>moronic writing is okay because it's le gaaaaaaaame
if your characters are supposed to be level 1 then dont give them epic level backstories, moron
>if your characters are supposed to be level 1 then dont give them epic level backstories
you've never played D&D i take it
Nta but DnD is trash then
They're just shitposting. Not being honest.
This is the game thats revered for its writing though right? I've never seen anyone rave about the combat.
"Yes" the writing needs not one but two failsafes to inexplicably protect you from becoming a mindflayer
a mindflayer that's weaker than you were before you were abducted
Mind Flayers NEVER, no matter the editions, retained the level of their host.
That's not the point though is it, the purpose of changing people into mindflayers is procreation, larian writers can't even undnerstand dnd worldbuilding
It's like saying you're going to take over the world with a thousand level 1 jobbers because the person that wrote the story has no understanding of powerlevels
anon, a base Mindflayer is strong as hell. A shit ton of them would overwhelm people typically.
A base human/elf/whatever is not. Adventurers and a few npcs are far more powerful than your typical person.
As we've already pointed out the plot that the fat lesbians and fat homosexuals wrote have demigod level 20 characters being deleveled to level 1, not level 1 characters being leveled up to level 9
Also how would a level 20+ character get caught by jobber mindflayers?
Because the game implies that Gale specifically was depowered from his "accident" and not specifically from the tadpoles, unlike the others
The game weakens a god tier character so that he can get caught by jobbers so that he can be further weakened so he can be a companion
that's fanfiction tier
>that's fanfiction tier
You REALLY don't want to read Forgotten Realms novels, then.
I made the mistake of reading some of the stuff around the Time of Troubles stuff (when the gods were turned into mortals temporarily by the overseer god Ao as punishment for them not acting as they should, before going through trials to become gods again). It was some of the worst less-than amateur hour writing I've ever read.
BG3 is magnitudes better than the novels of the same setting.
>BG3 may be nonsensical fanfiction but...
I accept your concession
>concession
? Did you even read what I wrote? I wasn't disagreeing about the writing, there's nothing to concede.
Sounds like you're just trolling, I thought we were talking.
You're trying to conflate BG3 being actual aspie fanfiction sonichu fanfiction with DnD as a whole sucking
no I don't think failing to even have your companions make sense is comparable to anything
Okay. Trolling. Got it.
Anyway...
Okay BG3 is sonichu tier fanfiction
I don't care, I'm having fun with it
Post your favorite game
>I don't care that BG3 is sonichu fanfiction, I like it
yikes tbh senpai
Time of Troubles isn’t Tolken. You’re supposed to read it between 10-14, like kids did with harry potter a generation later.
Do you think a wizard spurned by the goddess of magic and cursed by dabbling in other forbidden magic he couldn't control binding itself to him is supposed to make him stronger?
He had that shit happen well before the tadpole stuff too, he was in his wizard tower doing his best to not explode.
Your a fricking loser. There was nothing anyone was going to say to you that you didn’t have a pre-programmed b***hy response
It's called being objectively correct, BG3 isn't just bad writing, it's fanfiction that a mentally challenged and autistic adult would write
actual troony stock fanfiction
You can tell by the way this idiot writes that he's the kind of person who spends all day shitposting about shonen power levels on Ganker
A regular mind flayer can instakill 99% of the humanoid population of whatever standard D&D setting you throw them at without even moving a finger
>As we've already pointed out the plot that the fat lesbians and fat homosexuals wrote have demigod level 20 characters being deleveled to level 1, not level 1 characters being leveled up to level 9
Magic bullshit is pretty much a staple of Forgotten Realms, though.
https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Alias
>magic bullshit
You know that it's D&D, right? Where the entire appeal is that everything is magic bullshit?
Wise words from the Dungeon Master.
When everybody is a level 9 mindflayer, then nobody is a level 9 mindflayer.
It means you don't have to fight that demigod guy.
why not just mind control a demigod and have him level baldur's gate
oh right the people that wrote this game are moronic
Mind control is one of the easier things for a mage to safeguard against. It would be surprising for a mage NOT to have a counter already on them for it since it would be an obvious go-to, if it wasn't for the fact that any powerful magic user would already expect it.
>demigod tier mage
>jobs to mindflayers, the thing he'd have almost complete resistance to because of his training and stats
>but yeah he'd have immunity to mind control up at all times
who write this shit lol, I could write better stuff in a weekend
https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Mind%20Blank#content
Mind Blank has been a spell in D&D since like the 80's.
>demigod tier mage
>jobs to mindflayers, the thing he'd have almost complete resistance to because of his training and stats
>but yeah he'd have immunity to mind control up at all times
How do you explain a level 20 mage jobbing to mindflayers again?
See
Mind Blank blocks Mind Blast's damage and Gale's high intelligence and Mindflayer's low base level would almost assure a successful saving throw against stun
BG3 is an idiot plot written by idiots that haven't even played dnd or even consulted somebody that has
>almost
Your words.
Even dragons and devils can be stunned, and there isn't really a spell to prevent the condition.
>but the orb
Mcguffin
you know who uses magic bullshit mcguffins? bad writers
When every one of your characters in the game needs a mcguffin to exist you know you've entered the realm of next level sonichu fanfiction
You didn't address the point made.
I accept your concession.
You don't have a point, you're just making excuses for sonichu fanfiction
>you know who uses magic bullshit mcguffins?
Like the One Ring?
Or the Ring of the Nibelung?
Or Excalibur?
>admit BG3 is sonichu fanfiction
>can't defend it at all
>still pretend like you have a leg to stand on
anon, people got bored with the shitpost. you were originally posting stuff that gave people an excuse to talk about stuff, now you're just repeating "sonichu fanfiction" after that was already addressed and you ignored the point made to just repeat it.
try another angle.
>people got bored with the shitpost
samegay moron
the real problem is BG3 is sonichu fanfiction and you have no way to counter that
It was already countered, anon. You can say it's bad, but to pretend it's some out-of-left field fanfiction when it's completely within lore (and sadly written better than the setting's own novels).
But you knew that, and you're just shitposting. So...
Trying to help you. You need another angle.
>it's lore accurate that every single companion in the game has some magic bullshit mcguffin that delevels them or is otherwise inexplicably level 1 without a magic bullshit item
you need to have both autism and be mentally moronic to think BG3 makes sense
Nobody said that.
But you already knew that. Another angle. It isn't working for you.
Or the Holy Grail?
Or the Golden Rune?
Or the Horn of Winter?
Or True Names?
Sounds like trash writing to me
These moron writers should check out Tvtropes and avoid being so cliche.
Or the Heart of Lorkhan?
Or the Numidium?
Or the Prothean Beacon?
Or the Elder Blood?
Mind Blast still gets them, they have to be able to know that a Mindflayer is already after them.
Mind Blank doesn't technically block the stun effect of Mind Blast. Just the psychic damage.
That said, they're less likely to have been affected since Mages are proficient in Int saving throws.
I mean Gale jobbed to his own hubris, he decided to put an orb that literally destroys magic in his own body to the point that it would have killed him if the tadpole didn't temporarily let him regain some power
this is what you call an "idiot plot"
I mean you're right, that's the whole point, one that he readily admits was idiotic. If you're being obtuse because you relate to him, stop simping for sugar mommies
>the point is the game is an "diot plot" on purpose
I don't think you understand what idiot plot means. An idiot plot is something written by a moron who can only advance the story mechanically without being able to have their characters do it, so periodically the characters are inexplicably moronic in order for the story to happen
Karsus was even dumber. If he used his spell on any other deity than the Goddess of Magic, it would've worked without a hitch. But no, the moron, despite being the single most powerful wizard in history, having invented the only 12th level spell ever, didn't realize that stealing her power would kill her, and thus crash the Weave.
its almost like half the game is about obtaining absolute power and how that corrupts people
gale planted the orb because he was a horny idiot for his goddess, karsus fricked shit up because he thought he was the best of the best of the best and could do no wrong
>it's almost like the whole game is moronic and doesn't have a sense of scale
yeah, like bad fanfiction
>like bad fanfiction
if only
it's very "within the lore" fiction, and better written than the setting's novels.
>it's not bad fanfiction, yes it's absolutely terrible and like fanfction, but it isn't
lol
It's not fanfiction anon. That's the point.
It's very much within the quality of writing of the novels, better even. That's how bad Forgotten Realms writing is.
>it's not fanfiction, it's just really really fricking bad, but it's official
lol
Yes?
Is this an ESL moment?
>samegay readmitting the story is sonichu fanfiction tier
>admitting again that he didn't have an argument again and the best he's got is semantics
you should stop being such a loser all the time
What are you even talking about?
huh?
>karsus fricked shit up because he thought he was the best of the best of the best and could do no wrong
No, it's because, for some reason, he didn't know that the Weave is a part of Mystryl, and not something completely separate that she merely controls.
Farquaad #2, where are your funny shitposts?
Each of their attacks drain Intelligence, which makes them absolutely fricking deadly.
He's just continuing to shitpost. He thinks having high int gives you resistance to having a creature shoved through your eye.
I know he's shitposting. I just find it fun to point out the flaws in his shitposting.
You're dumber than Farquaad at this point. And gayer.
>dumber than the guy claiming that "blindly following rules" would in turn have someone hating path options in RPGs as if the two are somehow connected in any place beyond his McDonalds laden amerifat brain
another body to the pile
Farquaad #2, you're not even funny.
neither are you
But you're Farquaad #2. Dance for me, favela monkey.
>still not funny
are you just mad your moronic shitpost got called out or do you just have a genuine mental illness?
Farquaad #2, your jabs are much worse than your less gay predecessor. Try harder.
She's between 150 and 170 years old. Half-elves live around 180, so she's literally a granny.
ah so it's a genuine mental illness, got it. probably a redditor or eratard to boot.
the only game to ever narratively implement RPG stats in a cohesive and well-done manner is Vagrant Story
any other game and you might as well just disregard them completely, because that is almost certainly what the writers did.
Mindflayers in BG2 are literally level 8, they're weaksauce jobber monsters. The entire mindlfayer plot is moronic
The nether brain is one of the greatest threats to faerun ever
every mindflayer hive should have an elder brain , there's probably thousands of elder brains
the entire mindflayer plot is stupid
not even that guy but you didnt even read what he said
nether being the key word there
waaaah waaaah waaaah waaaah waaaah
There's thousands of elder brains, the entire mindflayer plot is stupid
Farquaad #2, you don't even have the same funny vocabulary as your less gay predecessor. Try harder.
It controls the crown so it’s more powerful then elder brains
if ten elder brains teamed up they'd be stronger than the threat in BG3, right?
it is not an elder brain. it is an elder brain juiced up on netherse magic. please develop media literacy
>it's not ten elder brains, it's an elder brain on steroids
larian lacks all imagination
they could have had thousands of mindflayers and elder brains marching on humanity but they had one elder brain which isn't even that strong in a game where you have companions that have fricked gods
tasteless and unimaginative
>meet the master mind behind all the terrors
>it's a big brain
>actually it's a big brain that obtained ancient evil power
>actually (You) was the original big brain who controlled the brain before losing it to 3 smooth brains
whoooooa....
yes, because surely the world of bg3 isnt inhabited by a vast majority of level 1 peasants with 5 health.
The idea is to control people, so yes
tadpoles don't even drain levels, they drain stats until you're a vegetable and die
also the canon way to get rid of them is to completely smash your friend's head into paste and then resurrect them, lol
I mean shit dude if you want another flaw in the plan, species like dwarves and halflings cant even become mindflayers since it guarantees death for the tadpole AND host, yet you cna pick those species meaning some moron actually caught a forbidden species and THEN slapped a tadpole in em just because.
Game has flaws.
man that's moronic
>species like dwarves and halflings cant even become mindflayers since it guarantees death for the tadpole AND host
why?
Not stated, maybe something about their biology differs to much from humans and elves. Maybe illithid require a very narrow range of body types for the process to work correctly(finally a benefit to manletism). "But anon, they can infect dragons and make mindflayer dragons!' It is a well known fact that dragons can mate with anything.
Is that flaw not fixed by the magic used to keep the tadpoles from squidding you, but still allowing the elder brain to control those not possessing a nether stone ot the astral prism?
Considering most people are well below level 9, it works out.
A level 9 mortal is already rare and on the level of being a royal guard or folk hero.
>it works out deleveling a god to 1
I don't get it, are the mindflayers moronic? aren't they supposed to be hyper intelligent
Delevel a threat to basic b***h and then shape them to how you want them to be makes far more sense than taking control of them while they are at the top of their game and risking them breaking free. We see this with Emperor and the like that basic b***hes can resist.
>Delevel a threat
don't you converse with multiple gods in this game almost casually? and these gods are concerned with who controls one human city? and they leave it in the hands of absolute idiots? and you miraculously got kidnapped by the right mindflayer harvest ship?
yeah not buying it, more like they didn't care if it made sense
did jaheria have a reason for being low level too? b***h is 150 years old, she should be level 50 by now
iirc in AD&D a druid couldnt get past level 11 or something without fighting a 12th level druid for their position and then they had to establish a grove and their grove had to defeat a 13th level druids grove for them to become level 13 and then they had to kill the arch druid to get any higher than level 13. In bg2 it was expressed by making the exp table for druids take twice as much exp to go from 12 to 20 as every other class, even the slow ones like wizard.
It made it a really great dual class because you could reach level 9 pretty early in bg1 since they required less exp for the front half of their level curve so you could dip into the second class faster. all you really wanted from druid was the low level cleric spells + iron skin at level 9 anyways but you are probably better off going something like fighter dual into wizard if you wanted casting + martial perks.
that's only if you join a circle
The reason given for every companion starting at level 1 is tadpol wankery. It's a dumb excuse but at least they bothered to come up with an excuse
Jaheria didnt have one though?
Then that's a plot hole I guess
Jaheira's deal is that she's old
that's it
you find a scroll of eternal youth or some shit in her basement which she kept in case she needed to juice up but that never goes anywhere
she just goes "I trust you win this fight for us"
shes old and I sucked her powers from her druid pussy.
moron, at least do basic research. The tadpole causes every person infested with it to reset to level 1. The Dark Urge was the leader of the Bhaal cult in Baldur's Gate, for one example. It's also why Minsc isn't an epic powerhouse.
Were you talking about me?"
if you played the game instead of shilling against it you would know the orb in his chest is consuming him
You're really going to scrape the bottom of the barrel over a game's starting level mechanics?
>why aren't all my starting companions level 20
Gee, I can't imagine why...
Nothing in the game makes sense narratively
>entire plot is about mindflayers
>don't fight any in the game
???
so what were they doing before they kidnapped you, dying as a race?
You fight plenty of mindflayers...
>so what were they doing before they kidnapped you, dying as a race?
They were at war with their prior slaves, the Gith.
so how are they a big bad enemy
Getting their brain fricked by a mind flayer parasite does wonders
Is the lore even concrete on that? Isn't ceramorphosis pretty much headcanon
He's only gay if you're gay.
He's bisexual, like all the rest of your companions.
you will always be a homosexual and so will he
Sounds like something a homosexual would’ve say’d baby!!!
That's a lie. He gay raged at me and all I said was "stop showing me your gay magic."
the most fantastical part of this game is believing that the god of magic, a straight woman, would willingly have sex with a bi man.
you clearly don't know a lot about mystra if you're calling her "a straight woman"
gale wasn't her only chosen, and they're not all dudes
If your Gale comes out as gay, then that just means your homosexualry is contagious, OP
I'm a woman
Then what's the problem with Gale splitting your toon's cheeks?
There's no problem in that, I was just making fun of the cute line delivery
PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP

My gale was a bro who talked about slaying goddess poon. Must have been something on your end that made him gay
Halsin was gay as frick though, and kept hitting on me. Was fricking gross
Gale isn't just gay. He will frick anything including a wrinkling old obese gnome.
Is that your way of saying you spent the night with him?
Why is Gale do fricking hot sisters? I never cared for Astarion, I want to be Gale's wife. I want to fall asleep between those thighs every night
uwu
gays get the rope
Why you morons can't understand that girls post here too?
>girls post here

You know the rules.
>tfw no butchfem retrans femmunist boywifebando bgf (fem-male (?))
would you like someone who dressed like this?
>no penis, no breasts
I'm still confused
where do you get that robe? i killed the water ladies to try and get it but shit didnt work
You picked the wrong side.
I think you need to complete their quest chain to get it, the black water wizard lady gives it to you as a reward
That submarine pilot is a chud anyway
>knocked them out since I didn't want to kill them to save the submarine fella
>few hours later, exploring their temple
>find a cave underneath it on the cliffside
>find his dead body in there
Would he have lived if I actually killed them instead?
there was no quest for me, they just had some funeral rite and i couldnt do shit. this was on a durge run, was it possible that i killed the questgiver earlier?
Gale's a charming and loveable buffoon. He's a man that has something every woman or man would want in a partner. He's smart, has a cat, a library, and he's even tried his hand at poetry. What more could anyone want?
My friend keeps feeding him magic items and we don't ever use him. They claim he'll blow up and end our campaign if we don't. I hate Gale
You can just ignore his ass he won’t leave your party unless you talk to him
Now, now, give Gale a chance.
Halsin's a bro, has a father figure vibe to him.
He really looks like a c**tboy with a large clitoris and meaty lips.
Based
delete this and never post again
I've such sights to show you...
show me more anon
I had to doodle this quick because I'm shocked
Very nice sketch.
Now draw him on bed seductively spreading his moist eagle
>moist eagle
You mean like this?
>gaggggggghhhhhhhhhhhlllllllkk
>kahhhgahllllllllllll
anyone notice that the mindflayer you turn into looks more feminine then the rest of them? Wtf were they thinking?
Uhm Karlach bros?
swinging is not cuckoldry but what would a virgin know about people with sex lives.
>swinging
She's not getting and dick, because she can't due to her condition.
All she can do is watch.
again, not cuckoldry, but i get it haha funny word haha cuck haha omg
>"... if I must"
Poor c**t can't touch anyone, has weeks to live and is desperate
Gales voice actor said he was uncomfortable being gay so they made every companion playersexual in response so he couldn’t complain about men romancing him
I need a source for that. Tim Downie seems to be left leaning
im left leaning but im not a frickin gay, the hell kind of sentence is this, thats like saying all right leaning people were at the coup
Hi tim
I think that in the time of political correctness a left leaning actor (ESPECIALLY british) wouldn't have the guts to openly say he feels uncomfortable with voice acting for a non straight character
Yes, this game has fanfiction tier writing
They're actors, I don't think they really care about the sexuality of the character they're portraying. If that were so then I doubt many straight actors would be keen on playing characters that weren't.
That sounds like a made-up story, considering the Mystra lover background. At most, he would've been bi to begin with, which would effectively make zero difference from being playersexual.
GAYle was made for Dark Urge wiener
Reminder that a mortal human jobber named Cyric got lucky and accidentally god ahold of a sword that was secretly the god Mask, and killed Bhaal with it to take on his divine portfolio becoming the new Lord of Murder. (long before Baldur's Gate games)
Entire reason Bhaal needed to be resurrected.
Are netherbrains canon
They are now. There’s other variants of elder brains too.
Is it normal for a girl to feel a strong (dark) urge to impregnate a guy? Or at least to put in him a bunch of embryos seahorse-style?
>opportunity to bang a god
>fricks everything up due to being severely autistic
>locks himself inside his neet-tower for over a year only interacting with his cat
>becomes even more autistic
>falls in love with the first person who is kind to him [Tav] after deciding not to be a neet
so...he's literally Ganker
He's "plot convenience writer's pet" the character, all the companions in this game are
The best companion is karlach she’s went through so much 🙁
Women writers are so funny, they're so uncreative it's a trope
She has trauma she was betrayed by gortash and forced to fight in a ten year war. also SHES LITERALLY DYING
>She has trauma
>SHES LITERALLY DYING
what a unique female character written by a woman
IM SO SAD THE DEMONS IN HELL WOULDNT PORK ME
The moment I heard him talk I knew he was autistic. He's just like me.
>opportunity to bang a god
Hold it right there, being Mystra's chosen is not such a boon as you might think it is. She goes after young male wizards all the time. Even the all powerful Elminster had slept with her.
Yes, it's every young boy's dream to be invited to Mystra's magical island.
Will she step on my tiny mortal wiener and spit in my mouth? yes please.
Only if you are a talented mage.
Who are you gays kidding the only DnD game with good story is Neverwinter Nights
We're not even talking about the story, we're talking about how the companions break the 4th wall with how autistic their writers are
I only watched stars with him which is not gay.
Not at all.
>hey im a cool wizard let me join your camp
>ok
>btw i have a slight condition where i NEED magic items, i wont tell you why, just give them to me
this shit really annoyed me when i first met him
Now THAT is a valid criticism. Unnecessary "withhold information for drama"-thing, since there'd be no point in not telling the reason at that point.
That was enjoyable. I appreciate the shitposting giving me an excuse to talk Realms lore.
weeaboo trannies... Japan actually likes BG3... it's over. Japan has fallen, us americans know better than them when it comes to being Nipponese (that means Japanese for you other W*stoids)
Do they?
I only saw the tweet of Hideo Kojima posting an image of receiving a copy as a gift. I haven't checked how it's faring over there.
Japanese people were doing fan art of dark urge before the game was even released there
Japan has fallen.
https://arch.b4k.co/v/thread/661368990/
It's so weird that Japan still censors nudity like it does. It's incredibly easy for Japanese people to just bypass and get elsewhere from the internet uncensored shit.
>It's incredibly easy for Japanese people to just bypass
But they won't. Calling Asians "bug people" isn't just a meme. Most of them really do blindly follow rules.
One of the things people complain about WPRGs on 5chan is that they give you too many options, instead of having a straightforward path. Yes, you read that correctly - Japs complain that a given RPG isn't linear enough.
>amerifat with cartoonish elaboration on foreign cultures nobody asked for
not an argument
Black person I don't give a frick what you believe, you spewing moronation affects nobody but yourself and other morons
not an argument
Once you spent half the day slaving in the office you don't have much willpower left to play games that don't play themselves.
You can even see it in their tweets about BG3 - half of them talk about using walkthroughs/the strategy guide. On their first playthrough.
Golden Age arc from Berserk literally shits and cums on all western fantasy, it's actually deep
Ok, OP.
One of the main benefits of Dark Urge is that i can safely dispose of this fricker before i even see his ugly mug
He's like THAT guy's OC in the tabletop
I dont really like most of these companions, what kind of player would you attribute each of them to?
Baldurs gate is such a drag I’m 15 hours in and doesn’t feel like I’m making any progress this game is so unnecessarily long and bloated with useless things like 100 different feats and spells it’s overwhelming for newcomers like me. I switched to east to make it a bit more tolerable but the game still sucks.
you're the type of homosexual who claims the Souls games are artificial difficulty unironically.
filtered
Never played DND before, but I made a necromancer and opened the scary skull book and also got a new hag eye. Can I corrupt myself even further? Do companions get attack you if you do too much evil shit?
Anyone use those voice swap mods? How's female Gale? Curious if they're any good and worth a run
so is Karlach still the only one with a shitty ending, even with the patches?
She can turn into a mindflayer
why would i want to have sex with a tentacle mouth thing?
No they added in a scene where you go with her to Avernus and then at the party 6 months later, there's a teaser of being able to fix it for good in Avernus
>redditspacing lorehomosexual melty
I am the Dark Urge, a pleasure.
>hey protag! Can I talk to you in private? Its urgent.
>this must be about his curse.
> proposes to me on a full moonlit night.
>Ive only known him for an hour.
What is wrong with this game?
>please develop media literacy and memorize the dogshit troonlore
>90% of the discussion of BG3 and the new Rogue Trader RPG is just coomer cancer
It really is that easy to get nerds to buy and praise your game, isn't it? Just insert breasts and wieners and romance options
I mean yeah that's been true for decades at this point. Bioware figured it out, everyone followed. You wanna trick normalggays into playing RPGs, just insert a sex sim on the side.
Thank Baldur's Gate 2 for influencing the wrpg genre.
>wrpg
Stop making up new genres.
Sorry, subgenre then.
Sharty shart shadowheart get under the adamantine forge hammer please.
God this game mindbroke this board
It's weird too. Like a decade ago if a game like this came out, it'd probably be unanimously liked on Ganker and not nearly as many people angry at its existence.
a decade ago this game wouldn't have come out
It really did.
Minthara is my wife.
Oh, to hold Gale.
One can only dream.
Astarion is my husband
Dark Urge cannonically fricked Minthara with the severed hand of that portal gay guy.
true? if so I would like to give durge a shot and party up with minty again
Minth and Durge are what happens when a fricked up guy and a fricked up girl make each other (better) so much worse. She’s best girl for a reason.
False.
I wish we could answer the following the questions:
>how old is Gale
>how tall is he
>how big is his wand
>is he dominant, submissive, or a switch
>how old is Gale
Unknown, possibly mid to late 30's.
>how tall is he
Unknown, possibly 6ft.
>how big is his wand
Unknown, without magic probably average.
>is he dominant, submissive, or a switch
I'd say he's vers. In what we see in his scenes he takes the active role. However he does duplicate himself, partaking in multiple roles in the astral plane for brief moments.
He sucks and or fricks you hardly and without regret or shame. Ganker Relates!!!
Who would be fit that role in your eyes? Based on the male characters we encounter beyond our companions in this adventure?
Recruitable Dark Urge, of course. Give him cold, mysterious aura and talks way too much when murder is involved so that other people in party would just stare blankly when he rarely say anything.
I know it'd be more work to integrate him as a proper companion. But I hope that happens in a definitive edition of the game. I mean he already has a canon appearance and class. We see his body in act 3, I don't see why he can't be a companion. I'd probably play as Gale, redeem Durge, and then ascended us both.
>ascended us both
Nice try, you will be Durge's fleshlight.
That doesn't sound like man interested in buttsex.
i heard romancing gale as a sorcerer is fun, but is it bad to have a sorc and a wizard in the same party
One caster as supporter/controller and another is blaster. Try combining an Ice Wizard freezing the field with Storm Sorcerer shooting into puddles after someone else melt the ice.
He uses magic to cool you then he sucks and fricks you.
>i heard romancing gale as a sorcerer is fun
Mental illness is the real answer sisters. They love the suck + frick confederacy they now live in.
Within days, we will be gay, mind flayers
I love when you correct her pronunciation and she rolls her eyes at you. Frog is adorable
Accurate depiction of gays irl
Being gay is just grooming with extra steps. It’s antisocial by nature and desires less people so it creates nothing. I don’t care if they become antique traders out of necessity I’m not letting them sleep in my bed, mom
>Mod that turns all companions female
>Mod that allows Harems
I will now play your game

That is okay I beat the game and didnt like it much either.

No seriously you’re barely people.50
Are you sure you're not the one at boiling point?
Realistically, Gale would never touch a dick, he's straight as an arrow
Astarion on the other hand is a turbo gay, maybe bi-curious, but prefers dicks
>he's straight as an arrow
We talk about Gale now.
>Wizard cucks
Us natural born Sorcererchads were born into the magic, molded by it, if I take out your magic weave will you die?
It would be extremely painful.
UUUU

(You)
(You)
(You)
a) Sorcerers rely on the weave too they just dont need to study and train to use it.
b) Wizards btfo Sorcerer from a gameplay mechanic. Oh you got metamagic points? Ok I have arcane recovery points plus any spell I want to cast instead of your tiny selection.
c) Imagine being a brainlet with a low INT
Imagine being a nerd with no b***hes
Wizard gets mogged hard when Sorc can use these to cast 4-5 spells a turn.
>ceremorphisis is nearly instant, so instant that "brain surgery" with a knife and a dex check may be necessary, after which "animate dead" or resurrection can be cast
>in less than half a day a large part of the person's personality is lost
did larian even think this through
Yes, all the characters even note that they should have transformed after the first long rest.
So are you just not going to play the game? Because all of this shit gets explained in the game and is internally consistent.
yes I know there's a magic bullshit device that protects you, and a retconned Baldurian hero gay squid man
Reminder that Gale is the canon protagonist.
Is God Gale more powerful than Tav/Durge?
Perhaps but still by no means powerful enough to take on the likes of Mystra, unfortunately.
>is an elephant stronger than an ant
relatively speaking, ants are much stronger than elephants.
You could at least have stated hippopotamus.
I don't know, i ate his arm.
I hope can send electric shock waves through my body during sex
>is a god
>jobbed to some tadpole
Doesn't Gale become an evil god?
He becomes the god of ambition. But it's not so subtly implied that his ascension is far from good. He becomes more arrogant, much like the rest of the deities in the pantheon.
so glad the man that raped me gets to become a god
Anon, you know more than well enough he doesn't do that. Also you can become a god alongside him, if you romance him and let him ascend.
>He becomes the god of ambition
so fricking lame
Why does a power Word summon beams for it's attack and not just frick shit up?
>Why does a power Word summon beams for it's attack
Please understand.
One nose boop could sate me for a lifetime
Go find someone that boops your nose, just like Gale does to Tav/Durge. They might be the one.
Gods are like jannies though. You can't use your powers for anything behind enforcing the rules or you get smacked down by an admin (Ao). Id rather be an immortal mortal (???)
Nobody asked, Astarion.
Reminder that Gale ascending to godhood will literally ruin the world.
Ambition made manifest.
AHAHAHAHA OH NO NO NO
Is that cellulite I see
ass pimples from all the sloppy fisting
Gale's the god of ambition not the god of beauty.
>gets high on his big boy energy farts
>tries to challenge Mystra
>she casually smites him down and turns him into a weave particle
Gale's bad ending is so fricking hilarious this gay is a massive jobber
As terrible as Mystra is, she is second to Ao when it comes to the pantheon of deities. Of course Gale wasn’t able to stand a chance.
>Gale literally gets his own weave
Kneel.
why is this thread filled with palpable erotic tension
trash
Is this game really that gay? If so then based, been looking for fap material tbqh
I'd say in terms of male romance options you got a decent selection. As you can see, the star in this thread is Gale of Waterdeep. One of four male romance options. The others being Astarion the Vampire, Wyll the Blade of Frontiers, and Archdruid Halsin.
Neat. Thanks anon. Maybe I'll pick it up in 2 years when its cheap if I haven't gotten bored of vidya by then.
>Maybe I'll pick it up in 2 years when its cheap
Maybe by then there will be a definitive edition.
Which one do I play first?
I'd say go for BG3 first. It's a long game, at least 100 hours.
He ran away from my party after I didn't give him anything. It was a pretty easy choice since wizards in 5e are gay.
I also stabbed the vampire rogue in the heart when he tried biting me when I was sleeping without hesitation. Again, east choice, rogues are fricking awful in 5e
Hello, I'm GALEPAL
Damn I fricking hate gods of all kind, I would be a god killer in every fantasy/sf universe
I doubt that’s easy to achieve in the Forgotten Realms. But quite the motivation you got there.
I might be experiencing parasocial levels of obsession with Gale but his VA is very adorable
?si=iCPbLOxOEUzZ6ES3
I killed him
What a shame.
