As for the cost? I paid $70 for Spiderman 2. I got 25 hours of story and sidequests and that's it. No "Endgame", nothing to do once you beat it, not even a new game plus. Most people find this perfectly acceptable.
I paid $70 for SSKTJL. I got about 20 hours of story and sidequests and another 5 or so hours of "fresh" Endgame.
So theyre pretty equal, right? No. Because SSKTJL also has, essentially, 4 new game plusses. And while there are only 5 Endgame missions, at least there's something to do at the end of the game. Theres things to chase and things to build for to get ready for next season. Oh and there's seasons, New free content for hopefully a year+. All for the same $70
Yeah, it kinda sucks that Endgame doesn't have a ton of variety, but the content is fun as shit. I've managed to play 100+ hours of endgame alone because it's just so fun to play, even if it is the same thing. And we'll just keep getting more until the game does.

I actually enjoy the game, reminds me of Anthem a lot but it's also going in that direction. Too many bugs that have not been resolved at all, and every new patch fricks something. Also, multiplayer barely works so their primary focus is fricked.
I wish there was a game like those 2 that captures the same sense of mobility/speed but was also alive.

poor curious sap here, it's the latest game in the Arkham-universe of games and comics. It's a complete departure from the series in that it's a third-person shooter ala crackdown/sunset overdrive but less cool and it suffers from the meme of having a completely overcrowded UI with flashing lights and bells everywhere.
You have anti-heroes like King Shark and Captain Boomerang shooting guns instead of using their specific powers which take a backseat as melee abilities and STRONG WAMEN stuff up the wazoo. Lois Lane is one of the few surviving people in Metropolis not controlled by Brainiac and acts as a beacon of hope for humanity with constant broadcasts from a hidden location about shit going on in the game, Lex Luthor 1 and 2 are both giant simps and drool over women while condoning men and racism in the game's collectible lore logs on people of note and enemies. Wonder Woman is the only person to resist Brainiac's control, not Batman who gets a horrible sendoff and is also the protagonist of the Arkham series games up to Knights (which this game is a part of) Dude has a plan for literally every contingency and instead it's Wonder Woman for literally no explained reason, she constantly tries to do the right thing and talks down to the players. Also that one black SNL actor that is in literally everything is in this and is Amanda Waller.
Captain Boomerang is based though and sometimes says some out of pocket shit and like within his first 5 minutes of his screen time asks why Deadshot isn't white. There's a lot of charming moments in the background and honestly you're just better off watching an HD 4K upload of the game's cutscenes.
It's really impressive that comics haven't just completely shut down, ended distribution, all comics shops swapped over to cards, manga, or warhammer. If there's anything you can say it's as hard as they try to kill themselves their suffering just wont end.

As for the cost? I paid $70 for Spiderman 2. I got 25 hours of story and sidequests and that's it. No "Endgame", nothing to do once you beat it, not even a new game plus. Most people find this perfectly acceptable.
I paid $70 for SSKTJL. I got about 20 hours of story and sidequests and another 5 or so hours of "fresh" Endgame.
So theyre pretty equal, right? No. Because SSKTJL also has, essentially, 4 new game plusses. And while there are only 5 Endgame missions, at least there's something to do at the end of the game. Theres things to chase and things to build for to get ready for next season. Oh and there's seasons, New free content for hopefully a year+. All for the same $70
Yeah, it kinda sucks that Endgame doesn't have a ton of variety, but the content is fun as shit. I've managed to play 100+ hours of endgame alone because it's just so fun to play, even if it is the same thing. And we'll just keep getting more until the game does.

I actually enjoy the game, reminds me of Anthem a lot but it's also going in that direction. Too many bugs that have not been resolved at all, and every new patch fricks something. Also, multiplayer barely works so their primary focus is fricked.
I wish there was a game like those 2 that captures the same sense of mobility/speed but was also alive.

General concensus is the second one is better, but still just "okay" and at this point the first movie already soured the concept.
Plus despite being a sequel, the naming scheme makes it seem like WB wanted people to forget the first movie and have it be a soft reboot, but also it definitely is a sequel, and that probably confused people.

All this western comic art being shared looks stiff and stilted. Manga may be grayscale, but to my eye it seems to have a lot more dynamic movement and page layouts that more than makes up for having no color.

poor curious sap here, it's the latest game in the Arkham-universe of games and comics. It's a complete departure from the series in that it's a third-person shooter ala crackdown/sunset overdrive but less cool and it suffers from the meme of having a completely overcrowded UI with flashing lights and bells everywhere.
You have anti-heroes like King Shark and Captain Boomerang shooting guns instead of using their specific powers which take a backseat as melee abilities and STRONG WAMEN stuff up the wazoo. Lois Lane is one of the few surviving people in Metropolis not controlled by Brainiac and acts as a beacon of hope for humanity with constant broadcasts from a hidden location about shit going on in the game, Lex Luthor 1 and 2 are both giant simps and drool over women while condoning men and racism in the game's collectible lore logs on people of note and enemies. Wonder Woman is the only person to resist Brainiac's control, not Batman who gets a horrible sendoff and is also the protagonist of the Arkham series games up to Knights (which this game is a part of) Dude has a plan for literally every contingency and instead it's Wonder Woman for literally no explained reason, she constantly tries to do the right thing and talks down to the players. Also that one black SNL actor that is in literally everything is in this and is Amanda Waller.
Captain Boomerang is based though and sometimes says some out of pocket shit and like within his first 5 minutes of his screen time asks why Deadshot isn't white. There's a lot of charming moments in the background and honestly you're just better off watching an HD 4K upload of the game's cutscenes.
