Figured as much, low attention span timmy posts and people who needlessly shit on Kanto to make people who love Unova look bad. Also the "Kind of generic bro" comment was fricking moronic considering that OP used a diverse team of Pokemon that can be relatively challenging to obtain and train. Kudos to OP.
Find a level 50 Magikarp on the route between Mahogany and Lake of Rage and give it a rare candy. Now you have a level 51 Gyarados that shits on everything even as an HM slave.

What about RSE giving you level 35 tentacools after the 5th badge, where your team will be around level 25? Is that okay?
Norman's Slaking is level 31, which is close to 35. Tentacruel is good, but isn't as strong and versatile as Gyarados is. Level 50 is literally the level of Lance's ace, so yes, the Magikarp is worse.
Nice, I'm currently planning a mono ground play through of Crystal Legacy, finding it really hard to get them down to 6. I was originally planning on using gen 2 mons only but I'm one short anyway, but I've narrowed it down to: >Donphan/Golem
Quagsire
Gligar
Piloswine
Steelix
Marowak/Nidoking/Dugtrio
Also thinking of adding a 'wild card', was considering Tyranitar as it at least starts out as a ground type.
Yanmega won't be as fun to use as you think it will.
It mainly relies on its physical attack until you're able to get it in the late 40s and early 50s.
I respectfully disagree, I think Yanmega is not as bad as it looks on paper, but it IS dependent on the Silver Wind (Goldenrod Lottery on Saturdays) and Shadow Ball TMs, along with Ancient Power when it evolves. Sonic Boom is also pretty nice early on.
Mine put a lot of work in the League (my team was in the low 40s), Tinted Lens lets it beat shit it would normally have no business facing
It's not the easiest mon to raise and it can feel a bit one-dimensional, but if you like it go for it OP, it's not the complete shitmon it looks like.
Kinda generic bro
Bait. These posters are here 24/7, trying to kill threads by posting the same shit over and over. Don't engage with them.

Struck a nerve huh.
I posted my experience getting the super rod for the first time. Cool it with the autism.
Don't get so angry grandpa, GF will give Kanto many more super spesharu forms in the future!
Who are you quoting, schizo?
just don't have shit taste
b-b-but skarmory is a SS exclusive
>building teams in a pre-gen 6 exp share game
Fire team
>typhlosion
>5 water types because the new super rod pokemon outlevel my whole team
We're gaming.

You need a super rod to find these lv40 magikarps
And the super rod is in Kanto, aka post-game
You can find a level 50 Magikarp with Surf on Route 43

>Using Kantotrash
>type overlap
Yep, it’s trash
I see you even got a crossgen evo, love it!
Nice team
Saying this before this thread inevitably goes to shit, and judging from most other replies, it will happen soon

That looks like a really cool team. I hope you have lots of fun in your playthrough.
Wow how daring

Based Hitmontopbro
Was he any good?
It was aight. I bred high jump kick on mine and it was still just ok. I recommend using it only if you really like hitmontop like me
Wha about the rest of your moveset?
Nah, use Tyrogue instead
