I loved the OG season (even though the homosexuals didn't bring back double pump), but as soon as I saw all the new moronic shit like shields and double jumps and all that extra dumb shit nobody asked for thrown into Chapter 4, I insta-deleted it. I think the OG season is the most I've played Fortnite since Chapter 1. Why do they do this? Why do they keep adding shit just for the sake of adding shit? If it was asked for or even if it improved the quality of the game I could totally understand but my god the shit they're adding just makes no fricking sense at all. Do the people that still play just continue to play because they have no other games or is it because they've dropped so much money into it they feel like they have no choice but to continue the wild ride? I just don't get it.
Part of it is that Fortnite is still managing to attract a steady stream of newer children as they get old enough to actually play the game. My older son for example, played Fortnite a ton a few years ago, but has tapered down and is now playing other games; meanwhile my younger son who really liked watching his big brother play got old enough to play it competently himself and is regularly chosing it for his game time. The younger one does occasionally get his older brother to play duos with him, and I will sometimes play with them as well; not my usual cup of tea, prefer more strategy type games myself, but fun enough.

Game has well past its peak of quality and it's only downhill from here, the OG season proved that they are actually getting worse and people prefer the older style.
No because they went with the most basic possible options for Paramore and Panic at the Disco. I could name 5 way better songs by both that deserved to be in more than the ones they picked.

As soon as the team splits up, doesn't share loot, runs off for objectives instead of staying together, doesn't move enough out of wanting to open more chests, not jumping in cars, the match is already over.
It's very interesting to see the psychology of a match play out. It's even more interesting that the biggest culprits of bad teammates are usually males in their mid twenties.
I just play heaps of Squad matches in Unranked and watch what winning teams do.
Winning squads will always stay close, rotate for storm circles correctly and share loot.
If any of those points aren't being stuck to throughout the match, it's usually a 90% chance that you won't win, from what I play, with the outliers being really good players that can carry a whole team.

Navigating situations as a squad has a better feeling. Solo you just win here and there. Wrangling a team together to win is much more difficult.
