Act 3 works perfectly fine to me I don't really know what people are talking about, I had one bugged quest though the conclusion of "Free the artist" didn't trigger but looking online theres no rewards for that quest anyway
Act 3 has been a constant headache for me. I've had lots of crashes, times when npcs wouldn't respond and characters would get stuck in the world. I'm wrapping up my playthrough in a day or two then putting it on the sidelines for awhile and hoping Larian polishes it up some more for my next run.
Losing three hours progress for many games would really suck. But when you're talking about a massive CRPG with hundreds of hours of content, it really shouldn't matter much.

This wouldn't be a huge issue, IF they didn't have the twitch shillers brag about how it's finally a fully finished BUG FREE game and that's it sets a new standard
It's painfully buggy, weird shit happens all the time and they are planning a patch that fixes 1000 issues. that's a buggy game, that's a not fully finished game
Losing 3 hours of progress matters because you are now expected to re-do content you've already seen before or skip that content and risk missing out on any rewards or consequences further down the road. The playtime is largely irrelevant to that consideration.
BG3 isn't so massively divergent with every bit of its CaC for that to necessarily make a different. There's plenty of quests where choices may only effect rewards and not the content you're going to play through.
I'd just wait for the patch to get fixed tbh

I admit it's buggy yeah but that was never really a concern on my end. Anything that really tries to push the bounds instead of being dark souls 4: open world is bound to have some bugs. The bugs will eventually be fixed.
