I'm really going to miss Rocksteady. They knocked it out of the park with all three games (and origins). And even more impressive is that they were able to release each game within two to four years of the previous one and still keep the hype. I had no interest in Batman until I saw the advertising for City. That Sin City style caught my interest and my eye. With this game? It's been damn near a decade since Rocksteady's last Batman game. And the hype is non existent. People don't WANT this game. They can't ban comments fast enough on youtube. Whats worst is that their latest update to Batman Arkham Knight after almost a decade is the ugliest shittiest costume port and this is anecdotal but it fricking deleted my save file. which was 300% +99 done.

Okay. We can talk about this. The Penguin was a guy who didn't have a single soul who actually cared about him. homie was to be shot and left for dead by GCPD. Years later he starts off his criminal career before being hunted down by cops again. Ed Nygma nurses Penguin back to health and relies on him to help him become a super criminal. No one has ever relied on Penguin or looked up to him for anything. Penguin becomes attached to this newfound attention. He wants to keep Ed around to the point of marrying him. Is that love? Not in the slightest. It's an unhealthy obsession due to lack of human connection. If ANYONE had given Penguin the time of day without the abuse he would've done the same. That's why we get so many scenes of him kissing the feet of Jada Pinkett Smith or groveling to Jim for not leaving him to die. And the best part is by the end of the series Penguin and Riddler are as close as brothers and have a deep understanding that they each created each other in a way.
This type of argument where you see two guys getting along and think "oh they're gay" is such a womanly way of thinking. If this were Frodo and Sam, if this were Snake and Ocelot, he'll if this were Batman and Robin people would respond with "you wouldn't get it. You're a woman." But because it was a capeshit show people are so ready to write it off and pick on it for bs reasons. There are plenty of things about Gotham that sucked. David Mazous was a terrible actor. Aging up Ivy and randomly making her a psycho killer was a stupid decision. So many villains appearing that specifically rely on Batman to be there first and they even end up learning Bruce is trying to be a vigilante. Plenty of reasons to not like it. No need to make any up.

I don't understand what went wrong here. This guy has all the joker traits but he looks nothing like the Joker. He looks like a thug that was exposed to Joker gas. Even Arkham City did the Younger Joker look good enough that I can recognize him immediately as Joker

Okay. We can talk about this. The Penguin was a guy who didn't have a single soul who actually cared about him. homie was to be shot and left for dead by GCPD. Years later he starts off his criminal career before being hunted down by cops again. Ed Nygma nurses Penguin back to health and relies on him to help him become a super criminal. No one has ever relied on Penguin or looked up to him for anything. Penguin becomes attached to this newfound attention. He wants to keep Ed around to the point of marrying him. Is that love? Not in the slightest. It's an unhealthy obsession due to lack of human connection. If ANYONE had given Penguin the time of day without the abuse he would've done the same. That's why we get so many scenes of him kissing the feet of Jada Pinkett Smith or groveling to Jim for not leaving him to die. And the best part is by the end of the series Penguin and Riddler are as close as brothers and have a deep understanding that they each created each other in a way.
This type of argument where you see two guys getting along and think "oh they're gay" is such a womanly way of thinking. If this were Frodo and Sam, if this were Snake and Ocelot, he'll if this were Batman and Robin people would respond with "you wouldn't get it. You're a woman." But because it was a capeshit show people are so ready to write it off and pick on it for bs reasons. There are plenty of things about Gotham that sucked. David Mazous was a terrible actor. Aging up Ivy and randomly making her a psycho killer was a stupid decision. So many villains appearing that specifically rely on Batman to be there first and they even end up learning Bruce is trying to be a vigilante. Plenty of reasons to not like it. No need to make any up.

You're tainted by your first interpretation of Penguin being Tim Burton and Danny Devito's version lusting over Catwoman when you were young and probably assumed he was just horny and they weren't trying to depict how psychologically fricked up THEY BOTH WERE from being lonely. By the time they partner up to do crime together the sexual tension isn't even a thing between them any more and they're running around causing chaos like Harley and Ivy do.

I still don't really like it but I've accepted it. I don't like the red nose. Or the Blue on his eyes. I wish He would've wore royal purple instead of red velvet. I wish in a Joker origin story that also stars Robert De Niro they would've done more with the mobster part of Joker's origin and kept it accurate to the comic in some way. But I can't deny it was a good movie. People say it rips off Taxi Driver and King of Comedy but I never saw those and I thought Joker was coherent enough on its on.

Thats because it looks more like a generic clown and does not really read as "The Joker". The eye makeup has never been part of his look at all and makes him look like he belongs at Ringling Bros not the Legion of Doom. Still the performance is so good it overcomes that and uses it to make him stand out. You don't get that with a still tho.
