A majority of the Scat and Vomit mons are just older mons but redesigned slightly. And having said all this, why are the games not being completely trashed by fans? Well, judging by the sales' numbers for Scat and Vomit, they don't seem to give two shits about a finished product. Really, you can say this series has been dead all the way back to gen 3. But what we can all agree on is that these games are the lowest Pokemon has stooped and I wouldn't be surprised if they find ways to stoop lower, for as long as there's cultlike fans consooming every game with the title slapped on it, there won't be another even half decent pokemon game again.

Why is this series so fricking creatively bankrupt. I've stopped keeping up after USUM but everytime I check back in on the series it somehow gets worse and worse.
Previous gens had regional forms but this gen is the first to just recolor say Tentacool and call it a completely new pokemon. And they did this several times even before you get to the Paradox ones which are eve lazier.
All the future paradoxes are Iron X, it would be boring if they were actually steel type. Part of the theme of the game is that things aren't as they seem.

but i kind of wonder about the nature of robotic versions of existing pokemon being in the future, like were they built? and by whom? and if they weren't, why did all pokemon eventually become metallic? did organic pokemon cease to exist? this is so odd and kind of lazy to be honest

They actually just present them to you as futuristic/prehistoric at first glance but like I said the main theme of the game is that things aren't as they initially appear. They're actually schizo headcanon pokemon conjured by the main legendary out of the professor's head based on occult magazines.
