I never realized how similar Mega Man and Sonic were.
I mean, they literally had a comic crossover with characters from one universe having a corresponding counterpart/rival from another universe.
Mega even got golden along with Super Sonic in story finale. Does that make him Super Man?

See, the reason Sonic was ever good was never his actual context (aka his stolen identity) it's the gameplay, as no game on Earth played like classic Sonic.
That's why he was good. Note the instant that shit was removed with SA1 he completely died out as a platformer.
