I don't think he believes that Protoss is stronger than Terran and Zerg, but he (correctly) believes that Protoss is easier to play, thus he as a Terran player has to work a lot harder to get the same results and compete.

protoss units are strong and zealots are still good end game units too. when you get enough nexuses up resources becomes a non issue so you can spam out your OP units and win. at least that's how coper Terran players explain the situation.
Protoss is easier to play than other races.
Protoss can easily kill Terran in PvT if terran makes a mistake. Protoss can pretty easily deny expansions, especially the third, until you get to pro-level

Protoss isn't a stronger race, but it's easier to play so if you play Zerg or Terran you have to work harder to win.

They're easier to play than other races, and they have a lot of random tech they can try that might kill you, and even if it doesn't work they're fine (DT, Shuttle, Recall, etc)

Imagine wasting your life getting up to 350 apm on starcraft broodwar, literally relocating to korea to play on their servers, marrying an ugly white woman because the kpop idols don't want to frick with you, so all you have left is starcraft 2... then starcraft 2 bottoms out because blizzard is fricking moronic, so you need to come crawling back to broodwar to make money because you have absolutely zero marketable skills, along with an elitist shithead attitude.
Then you log into starcraft broodwar and train for 8 hours or more while commentating it as your career. Your life is this game. You've done all the calculus to determine the correct economic paths, you've watched all the pros do the builds, you've copied down their strats into your note pad... You turn your stream on, hit "SEARCH FOR MATCH."
then you get qued against "LORDOFLIMA69", a peruvian protoss playing on a cardboard box with an iq of 80. Because of the massive lag the game eats your inputs, so you have to do everything 3 or 4 times to verify that your orders are being carried out. Your scouting also works suboptimally because you've trained to scout against optimal koreans, not peruvians. Your input to build an engineering bay failed so one DT gets in your base, and this literal moron has now just dashed all of your training and preparation. you lose and look like a huge noob.

I play fighting games competitively, literally every bit of it makes sense, and I've experienced it in a different way.
That's pretty funny, in my mind this game takes a frickton of effort and had perfect balance, I didn't think there was an "easy" route.
There's not an "easy" route, protoss is still hard compared to every other game. But terran is a race for masochists, it is SO fricking hard to play. You need to interpolate everything that is going on just by seeing one unit moving in the dark, and if you guess wrong you die. It's balanced because terran CAN be very strong, but before the pro level they're extremely hard to play. Protoss is easier at first but it gets FIENDISHLY hard later on (around the level that artosis is at actually). Zerg is hard, then easy, then hard. Terran is just hard.
Yeah, I realized after my post that the situation was mostly based on ping, and not on Protoss needing lower APM.
I like characters/things that are balanced by a high skill ceiling, couldn't imagine doing it in Starcraft though.

I watch Artosis every night he streams to gamble salt (channel points). His stream/chat is the most fun I'm had since the early days of Destiny when he wasn't blue pill.
