He's not wrong you know.

>Tipping a disgusting wagie 15% who probably didn't wash their hands and just do the basics of bringing the plates to your table as they're supposed to is expected or you're evil
>Tipping low IQ delivery driver, who're in a comfy car and do the bare minimum effort and leave the food on the floor of your door is expected or your evil
>Tipping devs who make high quality, memorable games like Elden Ring, RDR2, GoW, BG3 that'll last in your mind forever is considered "controversial" and evil if you support this practice
Tipping exceptional games should be the norm. Nothing wrong with this. Why are fat, loser gamers getting upset over this?

eh, CDPR is okay in my book
their expansions are always good and, in themselves, are better than some full games which release for $70

        Anonymous

Just because you are used to eating off the floor does not make a plate and fork valuable. The expansions are mid at best because the Hearts of Stone is just a thinly veiled romantic novel made to bait females and Blood and Wine is just a findom simulator for cucks with a bunch of very unsatisfying endings

Did you seriously post that unironically on the day your image becomes outdated?

Almost a decade after release lmao. No one cares about the game now and CDPR knows that which is why they released the red kit 2 to begin with. Look at fricking nexus mods for example and compare the last week of mods to the mods that came out even 2 years ago. I modded the game myself and talked to a bunch of mod authors and I can assure you the modding scene is dead. At best we will receive a few half assed mods yet modders could already create place holder tier quests before hence nothing changes aside from accessibility to both the modding tools and the games systems which do not matter because no one is interested in making mods. The red kit 2 will get attention for a week then die

But yeah I will probably shit out a few mods to remove israeli propaganda from the game and get banned on nexus lmao

The only time I've seen (or done) this (give money for no content) is when it's a free game and the dev let's you tip them or buy some dlc that has no content or maybe an in game thank you from an npc. Why would anyone tip for a full price game when you know for a fact the devs probably aren't going to get any of it.

And shes gonna be like *sucking noises* "I'm sorry, I just can't help it, its so flavourful". That's gonna be the tip I give her when I give her this flavoured BBC of seasoning salts.

          This.

Tipping should be for people that go above and beyond. Not for people that just do what they are expected to do.

We are already paying wages to these people by buying their food/products. I am not going to tip a cashier on a take-out order that only handed me my receipt.

Even Kiosks where there are no cashiers now ask for tips. Why would i tip employees that i know nothing about their quality of work? They could be goofing off in the back or dropped my food on floor for all i know.

This idea would actually be beneficial under 3 circumstances.

    1. It isn't mandatory
    2. It actually goes to the devs
    3. Companies don't lower dev pay in hopes consumers pick up the tab.

I think it would incentivize devs to make games as good as possible in hopes that enough people would appreciate your effort that you would continue getting royalties(tips) long after game was finished.

Tipping would be a way for consumers to reward good design and punish bad choices (microtransactions, forced ESG, politics).

They would need to cap a tip at $20 per account/user/cardholder/etc... so you don't have one big political whale tipping $500,000 for a game like Suicide Squad because he likes the lgbt messaging.
