MGS4 proved it decisively, it was Kojima's first game after he managed to smoke out anyone with actual talent, and wrestle full control to himself, and it really fricking showed. Honestly I haven’t especially liked a Kohima game for it’s gameplay since MGS4. V got really boring for me and Death Stranding was just too basic.
