My next playthru I'm going all custom characters, there is no "friend" NPC dialogue, the only point in talking to origin characters if romance and pre-determined stories.
gale is a specific case of buggy romance flags. characters have friendly dialogue obviously because larian doesn't expect you to be fricking all of them at once
