Has got to be one of the worst bunglings or mismanagements in gaming history.
It had the right core foundation to be a grand return to form for the Halo franchise; but it somehow didn't occur to them if it's missing too many of the expected features from past Halos, and the missing features and content aren't added quickly, the players aren't gonna stick around.
Back in 2015 there was a huge uproar over Halo 5 missing Forge at launch, yet Forge was added just 2 months later lmao. Now I'm wishing we could have THAT 343 again
This is par for the course so they thought they could get away with it. Stop charging us $60 for 3 maps you chucklefricks. Shove your battlepass right up your own asses

It's the best, isn't it?
All you had to to last year to be the best FPS was just be vaguely competent, and now Infinite has a lower population than Battlefield.
it's fricking tragic
weapon, escharum and pilot are all good, the gameplay is amazing, chief's armor is back to a more classic look, no more locke bullshit, elites look and sound great, pretty good bosses and sandbox
if only they didn't frick up with the open world, or coop, or the lack of forge and firefight. they were so fricking close, it was so fricking obvious, halo might've really come back from the brink

What?
Infection will surely happen after Forge is added. Which they are working on, there's tons of leaked footage of it. Just no timeline and it will probably be close to a year after launch when we finally get it
(and then we still can't do a proper Infection because we have to wait for the right weapon variants and the classic pump action shotgun)
The best part was all the shilling on Ganker where people said it was the best Halo game ever. Now the multiplayer is fricking dead and nobody talks about the game except for the odd thread like this one. The campaign was maybe the most overrated piece of crap on Ganker in a long time, if ever.
Halo was never going to make a comeback. It's older incarnations are too slow to attract a modern audience, and 343's incompetence results in ridiculous trend-chasing that never works out coupled with poor technical performance on PC
What trend-chasing has Halo Infinite done?
Besides chasing the battle royale trend with the Last Spartan Standing game mode, but that's something they couldn't have put much time or effort into
Have you not played PUBG or Fortnite or Apex or Warzone or anything?
It means elimination, on a big map, with a boundary that shrinks and forces the remaining players closer together.
It usually also starts with a big player count like 50 or 100, though Last Spartan Standing does it with only 12 and compensates by letting everyone respawn 5 times
Originally, the MP was going to be more of a hero shotter, nothing like classic Halo, but those were losing popularity quickly so the idea was scrapped.
The campaign is Open World shit that prioritizes quantity over quality (and not that much since the world is still somewhat empty).
The leaked Tatanka Mode is going to be a battle royale, however I'll judge it only once I've played it.
>Tatanka Mode
This is actually kinda encouraging, sounds like it will be 100 players, which might be too much for Xbox One to handle.
So maybe it signals a shift to pushing the capabilities of Series and PC while leaving last gen behind, as it should have done from the beginning
I cannot fathom why they would keep supporting the base Xbox One for another decade. There's no way.

I disagree. People still play rainbow six, counter strike, battlefield and cod. If anything Halo changed too much with Reach. Versions of cod that weren't enough like mw2/blops or battlefield like BC or BF3 weren't very popular either so it goes to show. People certainly don't want to go back and play the older games even if they are good, they want the same gameplay to move with the times and refine or introduce new ideas that don't change the gameplay too much. Halo lost it's chance to have a comeback a long time ago since it was almost unrecognizable for almost a decade, and they didn't pump out Halo games like they did with cod to recoup their losses and revert unpopular changes from less successful entries that changed the formula too much. Infinite was a step in the right direction but the damage was already done.
What trend-chasing has Halo Infinite done?
Besides chasing the battle royale trend with the Last Spartan Standing game mode, but that's something they couldn't have put much time or effort into
i'm guessing they mean the battle pass, skins, etc. seems like they put more effort into those than they do actually making a good mp game that can compete with the bigger ones.
Its campaign has some severe issues but overall I agree.
Shame that it's now abandoned, it's the only Halo that will never get a proper PC release, and they won't even give it a 120fps update for the newer consoles
>It had the right core foundation
Fricking have a nice day. I am sick to death of this fricking meme. I want to fricking kill everyone that says this stupid fricking phrase
If the core gameplay is so good why did it lose most of it's playerbase? Shut the frick up. It's shit
Sprint, clamber and sliding break the game. The netcode is awful. The weapon sandbox is bad. The physics are near non existent. The maps are awful dogshit
>Tatanka Mode

It's going to be 60 real players at max. It is baffling if they can manage to pull it off since BTB with 24 players is already unrocky and unstable

Jesus Christ, this place is beyond help. Understandable why Halo threads became so shit when the lgbtq+ from reddit are shitting up this place. Damn, we really need to deal with the lgbtq+ here in the US, it's a shame that we can only fix the problem in the US, hope other countries in the west can start doing the same eventually.
Yes, there was, they completely fricked up her character, gone is the confident Cortana from the trilogy, now we have this weak useless b***h who does nothing but whine and cry all just to kill her off (something Bungie would have never did because she was the main character equal to Chief). It was like 343 didn't even understand that Librarian cutscene of theirs. What's the point of Cortana being the final part of the Master Chief that leads to a Culmination of Planning if she dies right in the game she said to be that. It was stupid, you can tell the game was written by some bookgay over an actual game dev. Don't call yourself a fan of Halo if your only contribution to the series was reading a bunch of gay ass novels written by a hack instead of playing the trilogy you're making a fricking sequel too, I'm talking to you, 343.
Of course, you do, troony. Nothing happened in Halo 5 and if you skipped it, you would miss nothing. Master Chief could go and take a morning shit and Halo 5 would still happen without him or anyone there, that's how pointless Halo 5 was.

The campaign's main issues were the moronic squad AI and the repetitive Warden fights. The story was fine, not amazing, but good enough that I'd have preferred to see a direct followup to it in the next game, rather than a time jump and soft reboot so that it barely mattered

Halo was one of the few sci fi universes where AI do not turn on Humanity because the process of AI construction in the Haloverse is literally taking dead and UNSC-loyal human brains and digitizing them. It's one of the things that makes Halo feel different, because an AI rebellion is inconceivable.
The idea that they would unite to take over Humanity is moronic and flies in the face of all lore; in fact even in Reach Bungie had an entire easter egg centered around data pads holding minutes of an AI coordination council desperately trying to think of how to keep humanity alive against the Covenant and slowly realizing that they were failing and everyone (including themselves) were going to be wiped out by the religious nuts.

>in fact even in Reach Bungie had an entire easter egg centered around data pads holding minutes of an AI coordination council
This was one of the most interesting things about AIs in the Halo universe, they were literally planning on how to subtly influence Humanity's politics in order to guide us to prosperity, covertly. The AI rebellion plot was just fricking moronic all around.

I thought the brain scan was exclusive to "smart" AI?
call of duty wiped it's ass with halo 3 overnight and it never recovered. even reach had half of 3's pop when blops released. idk what it was about cod cause i didn't play that much past 3 but it fricking murdered halo and it's funny lol
reach had less players than mw2 AND halo 3 when black ops released. halo 3's player base suffered from cod4 and mw2 but it was still the 2nd most popular game on xbox live until reach. when black ops released, reach had max 150k on a weekend while halo 3 still had twice that and very rarely dipped below 300k. you are either irrational or have poor memory
Halo 3 held onto a very strong population, hundreds of thousands online at a time, for years after launch.
CoD surpassing it probably had something to do with being multiplatform, on PS3 too (Xbox exclusives are for nerds), and the buzz of a new CoD releasing every single assfricking year, and the feel of 60fps when Halo was still 30 at the time
the 60fps thing was a huge deal
CoD was like the one game that ran at a silky smooth 60fps on consoles back then; even superior games like bad company 2 were stuck at 30fps
It took years for halo 3 to start to really fade. Most people look at the population in matchmaking, which was over a million for a long time a huge accomplishment for an exclusive game, but the custom game scene was booming long after matchmaking numbers started to fall fast when Reach came out.
Reach was just a heavily flawed game and divided the community and black ops was an exceptional call of duty so it was a perfect storm. In comparison to 343 era halo Reach was great, but it's no secret how many people were less than happy about reach at launch.
Reach was Bungie carelessly experimenting with features that would eventually become Destiny, and not really caring what happened to Halo because they planned to abandon it.
The only flaw was armor lock and to a lesser extent sprint but that didn't bother me or any of my friends which are all cooler than you.

Armor lock could be turned off, it was bloom specifically was objectively bad and it almost single handily killed the competitive scene which had organically grown over the decade before Reach came out. Halo 4 was the final nail in the coffin.

>which was over a million for a long time
never actually happened. it was common for the pop count would bug out and show inaccurate numbers. here's another example. halo capped at like 1.1m players on launch week or something like that but it didn't stay that way for long.
Maybe it was just me but playing one made you worse at the other. Like if I spent a lot of time playing cod4 it felt uncomfortable getting back into halo 3. modern warfare was also new shit that took risks and halo 3 played like halo always did, which is fine if you want halo but it wasn't the hot new.
reach had less players than mw2 AND halo 3 when black ops released. halo 3's player base suffered from cod4 and mw2 but it was still the 2nd most popular game on xbox live until reach. when black ops released, reach had max 150k on a weekend while halo 3 still had twice that and very rarely dipped below 300k. you are either irrational or have poor memory
>m-muh cod made halo irrelevant
easiest way to detect a 343 Black person shill.
Reminder:
Halo 3 sold 14 million copies, in ONE single console.
COD4 sold 17 million, yes, slightly more right? However this was in FOUR FRICKING CONSOLES, WITH FOUR TIMES THE PLAYERBASE.
Comparing the 80m people that had a 360, to the other 80m with a 360, an extra 80m from the PS3, 100m with the Wii and at best at the time about 20m potential users in steam, means:
Halo 3 had an attachment rate of about 1 in 5, COD4 had like a 1 in 30.
Even BO1, which is peak COD on sales with 30m, figthing against Reach which many always shill on being a huge downgrade on the franchise, despite being one of the best selling Halo games at around 10m, the attachment rate of these two is still something like 1 to 8, and 1 to 20 in favour of Reach.
If getting that high of a number for an exclusive tittle, then I guess unless it's SMB or fricking Wii Spots there is not another single game that ever performed "good" compared to every single multiplat selling for 4 or more consoles.
Yeah that's right you stupid Black folk, THIS is your argument. Halo with Bungie in control fricked COD's ass every single release, and in it's home turf, Halo 3 and Reach remained among the top 3 most played games in the console, only losing this streak due to Halo 4, aka 343.
The "Halo became irrelevant in 2007" is a meme propagated by 343 to try and make their shitty fricking failure of a games look slightly less of a set of failures, as if since the moment they were given the franchise they were figthing an uphill battle, but they were not.
Halo stopped being relevant because 343 is utterly fricking incompetent.
>putting Reach in the same category as 3

Halo Reach is the second best selling game Black person. It expanded everything Halo 3 had tenfold, an example set on how to keep the growth for Halo games on the future, just like Halo 2 and 3 were.
Amazing campaign, albeit feeling a bit rushed (Which Halo campaign wasn't?)
Great additions to gameplay to mix it up, setting them up from optional abilities to new weapons, new vehicles, new gamemodes, expanded forge mode and theater.
Made compBlack folk who are cancer for every game cry because muh DMR, and those are the only gays that ever scream Halo Reach being bad (This same people loved 4 and 5 for trying to be more competitive, scum that helped with the decline of Halo)
Unironically the only downgrade is no dual wielding.
Compare this to every subsequent 343 game >Halo 4 fricked up the artstyle and story, less gamemodes, no good forge maps at launch, and downgraded options for custom gamemodes, as well as a tiny selection of games for MM >Halo 5 launched with NO FRICKING CO-OP NOR FORGE, took about 5 months to even get on par with older games because they cattered to comp Black folk >Halo Infinite, with 0 content 9 months later
I like 3's artstyle, campaign settings, and OST more than reach's, but both were bomb ass games. so fricking fun and emotionally compelling.

damn kids...
They honestly tried to change the game beyond tacking on sprint with 5 but couldn't pull it off and will never pull it off because they aren't competent like id.
Personally I don't think they have to radically change the gameplay, I think part of the problem is that 343 has completely neglected vehicles which were a huge part of what made halo good in the first place. The way halo handled vehicles was unique among fps games but 343 has gone out of their way and made them practically useless. Really bungie started it by nerfing them in Reach but they are infinitely more useful in Reach than 343 era halo.
I think they would do well to focus on huge, you know, 64v64 gamemodes that utilize vehicles instead of focusing so much on 4v4 arena modes at the cost of literally everything else. I don't think they are component enough to pull that off either though.
The hard truth is that Halo is too outdated for zoomers

Nobody asked but you're all going to read my autistic complaint about this piece of shit game
The game is set on a halo ring. In space. The ring does not orbit a planet. Therefore the day/night cycle must arise from the ring rotating.
However they FRICKED this up. Badly. Not only is the lighting on the ring skybox inconsistent with the sun's position, but the sun actually teleports a sizable distance in the morning right before it rises. They tried to hide this by positioning it underneath the ring but it's blatantly obvious because there's massive holes that you can view it's general position from. So, the sun lighting doesn't make sense and it doesn't make a full rotation.
But it gets worse. The backdrop stars move independently of the sun. This is astronomically impossible. There is no physical position that would allow the sun and stars to move in such a chaotic manner. implying the sun is actually moving around the ring, and not the other way around.
And it gets even worse than that. There's a NASA png of a dwarf galaxy that is in the skybox, including gas clouds and stars within it. This moves around independently of the stars and sun as well, and in fact moves counter directional to the rest of the stars as well as overtop of them.
Pure lazy bullshit, fricking gay ass game, it would be so fricking easy to have the sky rotate properly but they fricked it up irredeemably at every given opportunity.
Perhaps the half assed the lighting and day/night cycles were slapped together at the last minute because they were planning to do something impressive with ray tracing, but abandoned it
(perhaps they still will at some point, but they haven't mentioned ray tracing since 2020 before it got delayed)
you need a child's understanding of outer space to understand that the sun does not move counter to the rest of the stars. We are standing on a rotating ball, the sky and sun aren't moving, we are. Additionally, a dwarf galaxy does not slide around across the sky in random directions counter to the way the other stars and the sun are going.
You could make argument that it's staying still and the other ones are closer, but it would still move WITH them, the parralax would be miniscule, and also it goes in front of them so that's not even a possibility... 343 just took a NASA png of the Magellanic cloud and made it fly around the sky randomly. Lazy as frick
I expect my games and films to have some level of consistency and quality to them. This is similar to that shit in Star wars episode 7 where everyone runs outside the orange b***h' bar and looks to the sky to see individual planets across the galaxy being destroyed. In real time. For some reason moronic ass film directors and game artists have no idea how our universe functions.
im any case, Halo infinite is universally reviled slop that stupid redditors don't even touch with a ten foot pole so you shouldn't disregard it's putrid shortcomings

It's a valid complaint, but still a relatively minor issue compared to how there's only 1 biome and no weather system.
Also you're talking about a universe that has FTL and time travel now
It's called suspension of disbelief my b***h, giant Space magic superweapons don't exist so we have no frame of reference for realistic behavior to expect of them. Stars and the sky do exist and anyone who's looked at them for more than a few minutes would understand the basic principles of how they behave.

Just until you learn that the CE planet uses mars and jupiter lmfao.
You're right that the small blue moon in CE is a photoshopped mars (or maybe Pluto, I can't remember) but the large red gas giant is a unique asset, not Jupiter. However the galaxy at the first cutscene and end credits is a NASA asset.
Anyways Bungie implemented handmade planets, stars, nebulas, and galaxies in their skybox mattes from Halo 2 onward and most notably in 3&reach, so 343 definitely regressed by using generic NASA png's and not even implementing them in a logical manner.
>Kill Cortana off in 4 >Bring Cortana back in 5 and turn her into a villain >Kill Cortana offscreen in Infinite >Replace her with an AI that looks exactly like her and is implied going to take on her name
Why does 343 hate Cortana so much? Is Bonnie Ross jealous of her or something?
They hate her because we hated what they did with her in 4. We were supposed to applaud their bravery and brilliance and instead we were all, what the frick? She is a reminder that they're fricking hacks and nobody likes their shit.
I remember maybe three or four distinct moments from the campaign, it is easily my least favorite if you don't count the open world stuff which doesn't even take long but is extremely boring
Halo/Master Chief was right next to fricking Mario when it comes to iconic IPs. It's insane how fast they tore down the IP's status in less than 5 years
I remember playing infinites campaign at launch, keeping myself in the dark about most stuff
I didn't enjoy it much until the music kicked in as the gabrakken was going to explode. The open world didn't seem to empty at first with that little segment you had at the beginning with that outpost you took over, the little room in the corner that had an invisible elite hiding within. Then that second level had beautiful forerunner architecture. I was honestly really excited for the whole game by then and having a blast and after that mission it just took a nosedive and the open world made me want to suicide.
Halo 1-2: >It's the Covenant
Halo 3: >It's the Flood!
Halo 4: >It's the Forerunners!
Halo 5: >It's Skynet!
Halo Infinite: >It's the Banished!
halfway through the campaign: >NO wait it's the Harbinger
at end of the campaign: >NO wait it's the Endless
at post-credits scene: >NO wait it's back to Atriox again
So, it appears that your dumbass got filtered by the most basic campaign of all the Halo franchise. The Harbiner is a member of the species known as Endless. Atriox did not die when the Infinity was destroyed, he's instead exploring the inner segments of the Ring.
You weren't paying attention. The Harbinger is not one of the Endless but another race/species that is allied with them trying to revive them.
As for Atriox his survival was bullshit the ship was literally exploding when Chief fell out and he wasn't trying to get away.
>final mission description calls Harbinger an Endless and calls the Endless her species >Encyclopedia states that she a high ranking official in the Endless and that the Endless is her species
Dumbass
Yeah, I liked him as a character, tho the final boss fight against three of him was utter dogshit. Still. He's pretty cool. It appears that even the Forerunners don't know where he came from since he was already inside the Domain when they first accessed it.

his "character" (he had none) was utter dogshit, and his generic posh nature documentary voice actor was annoying
Yea I still play it every now and then. It's fun for an hour or two but then the glaring issues start becoming too noticeable. But still, 1-2 hours of fun every couple of days is not so bad.
is it just the minority (me included) that feels like infinite is a complete joke and a failure? like, is it doing well enough financially that it actually has the longevity that they planned for it? because I feel like even in the mainstream it's not regarded very well and seems like it has bled a lot of players
It's decent. I enjoyed my one playthrough and going around getting all the collectibles. Now I have no desire to ever touch it again, though. It lacks the variety and replay value of all other Halos
do a SLASO playthrough, it's actually a lot of fun and really changes how you play. It's not soul crushingly difficult like other halos, in fact it might be easier than legendary.
I find it to be way more replayable. I can just jump in and do whatever. Go to a banished outpost that I've already cleared and kill covenant and throw fusion coils at them and have fun. In the other halos you have to follow a mission structure but in this you can do whatever.
to me it's a stretch even that sort of aimless open world formula a "campaign" at all, I respect a few of the actual levels it had and wish they had not gone the open world route. or at least if they had, that the open world would have been more like big, interconnected levels instead of big, interconnected floating wastes of space
no, I did not really like either of them. it may be time to realize you just aren't in good company by liking infinite, it's basically just all the trash trending in games and none of what made the fps formula of the original trilogy successful
>aren't in good company
Maybe among morons who just hate open world games because it's the hot new thing to hate on right now among hipster b***hes who can't form their own opinions.
it's not bad merely because it's open world. it's bad because it's a bad open world. and it's open world because 1) open world is hip and 2) bad open world is easier than actually designing a game
the fact that infinite is a laughingstock despite carrying the halo brand name should tell you a lot
One of my all time favorite /hg/ moments was when a newcomer anon asked >what's the association between The Endless and Anomalocaris?
and the schizo replied with >I want to snap your neck
Did they ever give an explanation of what the Endless actually is?
Or how it’s somehow a bigger threat to the galaxy than the Flood? I played Halo Infinite for fewer hours than a Touhou platformer fangame on the switch I bought because i went “wait why the frick is there 2hu on my Nintendo console”, and it was the very first time I didn’t finish a halo campaign at all
$500 million to make and it’s worse than a game that probably had a budget of maybe $50000, and with a plot so bad I actively wish we were continuing on from Halo 5 instead of setting fire to everything set up for an even stupider plot
nah, not really. still trying to understand everything that's come before.
spent too much money as a hardworking college student with a job, on games that were never complete, that were more about purchases in-game than the game itself.
haven't gotten around to playing it yet. sure as hell don't want to be associated with the 'broader audience' that company has mentioned. the broader audience doesn't play Halo, and from what i've seen in the news, they don't even know what the purpose of a government is. so i doubt they'll have any interest in the inner political play of Halo. like i said, don't wanna be a part of that.
I liked Infinite, but god damn it needs more fricking content. I have every achievement in the game except for one, Complete the Battlepass, and I don't think I will any time soon since I feel like I've already experienced everything the game has to offer. Right now I'm just waiting for Forge to come out.
I dont play any Halo until someone confirm that John Halo ends up married to Cortana at the end. My life isn't happy so i deman happy ending in my fictional settings.
>Covenant religion states that the Forerunners activated Halo and went on the Great Journey, transcending this reality and becoming Gods >those that are left behind on this journey are labeled heretics and demons, unworthy of divinity >Covies find the Didact, who is a Forerunner that got left behind on the Great Journey >they start worshiping him
I never really got this. This is like an anti-Christ showing up and devout Christians going "meh, it's a type of Christ I guess, let's worship him". I feel like the writers just stopped at "The Covenant worship the Forerunners" without knowing why.
I mean he has force powers and shit but the guy got killed by a grenade I've seen the little robot dogs tank. Plus they'd grill him over what the Great Journey is like and what it's like to be a God.
They're like canon events, Halo 4 more so than 5, 5 for the most part is so unimportant that it's treated like an unimportant filler. Halo 4 at least had some game changing stuff happen that still to this day effects the future of the series with elements from its story still returning regarding the Forerunners and humanity as Reclaimers along with the Master Chief. Halo 5 is just straight up pointless and adds nothing new instead holds the series back with no revelations.
So is halo 4 and 5 no longer canon anymore? Or is 343 choosing some parts within those games to be still canon?
morons

he was chained for millions if not billions of years and woke up like it was nothing, then went on to use the force and awaken his undead army to blow up earth. that was some marvel shit
The Covies don't start worshiping Didact instantly, they are fighting his Promethean forces up until he waves his hand and casts a spell on them -____-
How do 343itards still exist at this point? I can't think of a more cucked existence, they even started turning the characters into cucks to appeal to their demographic.
10 fricking years of Halo Infinite, holy frick. You're getting 5-6 years tops and a new game that ignores everything that happened in the prior one. If 343i is still "making" (i.e contracting devs then firing them before they go full time) video games at that point, they might just transition to whoring out the IP full time.
Halo Infinite is the first campaign that got received well from them, they and Joe are sticking with this one. Main reason Halo 4 and 5 got dropped was because they were literally not Halo.
Isn't it a bit weird and disturbing how the show changed how Cortana functions, so that she literally occupies Chief's brain tissue?
It's both creepy and impractical. An AI would not function at the level it needs to when constrained by slow and inefficient human neurons, instead of existing on computer hardware
funny how MS lost people's interst in their 2 major franchises (halo and gears) and only rely on Forza now. They haven't invested in new franchises and now all they can do is buy studios hoping any of them can give a face to xbox, but they won't.
It's kind of crazy how Gears came and went. It's probably one of the defining games of the early 360 days, but it just vanished as a series.
Halo is a little different. Fans (myself included) are trapped in a sonic cycle of hoping the next iteration will bring it back, but the more I dwell on it the more I'm wondering if there's even anything to revive? I remember playing Halo because no other game/console offered what it did at the time. Big team battles, a nice high TTK so you were bouncing in and out of the fray, and just fricking chaos everywhere. It was glorious.
Most of those features were adopted by other games now, and halo itself changed fundamentally to be more like them and continue to compete. I don't blame 343 for that in all honesty, at some point it had to evolve but it's not "THE" console shooter anymore. There are shitloads of options now and people arent interested in waiting for updates to make a game fun when they can just jump back in to the next battle royale.
I feel that even though it might not continue to stand out where pvp is concerned, 343 can at least throw us a bone with a stronger campaign. Put some focus on co-op, toss in some matchmaking for it, and lean in to level designs and scenarios. They do that, and there only competition would be what? Dead as frick Destiny and the yearly borderlands release?
At, this point, I only have hope for the campaign, Infinite is already 343's best campaign and I can only see it getting better especially with Joe and Paul on board. Multiplayer I'm less hopeful for, we'll have to wait and see if that could ever recover but I have already given up on it.
Yeah. I'm definitely not saying to just give up on the multiplayer, but if they keep beefing up the campaign (four players is huge imo) Halo can probably start the slow climb back up. I hope they reconsider not allowing player to use their custom look. I know we're all technically "master chief" but I don't think anybody jumps in to a co-op playlist expecting lore consistency.
Thats actually one of the things that annoyed me about, again, Destiny and Borderlands. I just want to have fun shooting shit but here I am having to concern myself with looting and chests and stats and all this frickery. Meanwhile, Halo can come in and say, "You want to blow shit up with your friends? Frick yeah you do here's your favorite weapon go throatfrick something with it". I miss that.
I liked GoW 1 a lot. It was a cool adventure with badass dudes that had chainsaw guns fighting through hell to kill bugs. Then I got GoW 2 and it was just an infinite string of shoeboxes strung together. You enter an empty room. Locust enter at the same time. Both sides take cover and then fight. Then you go through the same door the locust just came through but you enter an empty room. Locust enter at the same time. Both sides take cover and fight. Then you go through the door they just came through and you enter an empty room. Locust enter at the same time. Both sides take cover and fight. Sprinkle in a few action setpieces and that's what GoW 2 was for the first few hours at least. I didn't make it past those few hours. I b***hed about this exact thing to people on vent who asked if I bought GoW 3 when it released and all they said was I shouldn't try it. It's not crazy how Gears came and went, Cliff Bleszinski is a moron.
its funny how theres nothing but complaints and criticisms of the gme and people mocking it and 343, but then those same people still its a good game when asked.
uh no its a frickIng trash game. hardcore halo fans who even stomached 4 and 5 to the end credits dropped this game before the halfway point its so bad.
It's not, it's the most like 343 campaign and the most played, no one liked Halo 4 or 5, even zoomers hate it
, if you're trying to lie about their playtime on their campaigns, you're most likely a troon mad about both getting dropped hard. Do you want to know who played Halo 4 and 5 once to the end and enjoyed them, loretrannies.
I never said anythIng but bad things about 4 and 5 mr. esl. People didnt like those and they dont like Infinite either.
>trying to use antileftist insults at me for shitting on infinite
You realize those insults have meaning and an intended target, right high schooler? It doesnt make sense to just pull one out of a hat randomly. Infinite was made by and for the left leaning zoomer crowd. Calling me a troony or leftist zoomer for shitting on it is beyond moronation and I think you might be having a life threatening cranial issue.
I know they bought like half the western industry in the last two years to offset this, but why would you make a studio to work on one IP only, an IP that studio did not even create? 343, Coalition...
i nagged my mom for weeks about getting halo 3 as soon as it came out and she drove across town during her break at work to get it just as it hit shelves, then years later i waited outside the same store early in the morning skipping school in the process to get reach and both times i played those games for months and have many fond memories of them
i have such a deep seated hatred for 343 i would personally beat each developer within an inch of their life if i could, but these days when i see what became of MCC im mostly just sad
>with Reach
with 3 >Frick 343 ignore em >posts one of their shitty books
The only worthwhile supplementary shit from Halo are the comics and graphic novels, the books always sucked.
You see anon that's a smart idea unfortunately 343 is chock-full of talentless hack who only know how to chase after trends.
PS, Staten was a pr stunt, he's the next guy on the chopping block.
343 is mostly incompetent chasing trends and they're selfish with predatory microtransactions. Everything is done at the expense of a quality video game. And don't think for a second that you're free of any blame, Microsoft.
Oh, and porn bait/lust provoking image/text posters (like op) deserve to be shot without trial. They're the 343 of Ganker.
>343
>Live service
>FIGHT HARD, DIE WELL >:))
It was always going to be dogshit don't kid yourselves
didn't ask snoy
This is par for the course so they thought they could get away with it. Stop charging us $60 for 3 maps you chucklefricks. Shove your battlepass right up your own asses
>The only mainstream FPSs that year were CoD Vanguard and BF 2077
>Finally a 343 Halo that doesn't look like shit
>MC focused campaign
>They still fricked it up
It's the best, isn't it?
All you had to to last year to be the best FPS was just be vaguely competent, and now Infinite has a lower population than Battlefield.
It's so fricking sad.
Bf2042 is a shit show but it's still a more competent live service attempt.
>t. infinite shill
it's fricking tragic
weapon, escharum and pilot are all good, the gameplay is amazing, chief's armor is back to a more classic look, no more locke bullshit, elites look and sound great, pretty good bosses and sandbox
if only they didn't frick up with the open world, or coop, or the lack of forge and firefight. they were so fricking close, it was so fricking obvious, halo might've really come back from the brink
Yep.
>Halo Is Back!!!!™
>oh but there's only 1 biome to explore, and only 1 enemy faction, and NO new vehicles (!)
What were they thinking
I find it funny that all fans shit on every vehicle that was new after CE.
>Spectre
>Mongoose
>Falcon
>Mantis
???
>Hornet
>Wasp
>Wraith (wasn't playable yet in CE)
Splaser bait
Banshee knockoff
Scorpion but worse
I was thinking of the revenant sorry
wraith yet worst
pointless until infinite

mediocre and i want it back
>Spectre
Just a Covenant Warthog
>Mongoose
Only became good when they added guns
>Falcon
I rather have a Hornet or a Wasp
>Mantis
have a nice day
>I rather have a Hornet or a Wasp
Why? The Falcon had gunners that could climb on and it had mass to it.
>have a nice day
Frick off, it was the one good thing Halo 4 had.
>4 bad because nostalgia
shit bait
What? Halo 4 is bad, but the Mantis was actually cool.
based double down moron
Double down on facts? Okay.
>Why? The Falcon had gunners that could climb on and it had mass to it.
Didn't even have a main gun unless you played the campaign.
>Frick off, it was the one good thing Halo 4 had.
That shit wasn't even Halo.
snoygger
>you're now a Snoy for liking Halo 1-3 and hating Halo 4 and 5 but liking Infinite
What?
>weapon, escharum and pilot are all good, the gameplay is amazing
>pretty good bosses and sandbox
get some standards
frick off Black person
Based
Isn't it always?
Yeah, no
>weapon, escharum and pilot are all good
lol, lmao even.
>weapon, escharum and pilot are all good
I love reddit writing as well
Reddit website sweetheart.
How fricking hard can it be to make Infection? My god.
>343 mind telling me what you're doing with that live service?
>Sir finishing this series
Halo was never going to make a comeback. It's older incarnations are too slow to attract a modern audience, and 343's incompetence results in ridiculous trend-chasing that never works out coupled with poor technical performance on PC
What trend-chasing has Halo Infinite done?
Besides chasing the battle royale trend with the Last Spartan Standing game mode, but that's something they couldn't have put much time or effort into
Is infection a battle royale?
The frick is that term suppose to mean at all?
Have you not played PUBG or Fortnite or Apex or Warzone or anything?
It means elimination, on a big map, with a boundary that shrinks and forces the remaining players closer together.
It usually also starts with a big player count like 50 or 100, though Last Spartan Standing does it with only 12 and compensates by letting everyone respawn 5 times
Oh so basically that one halo 5 forge map with the shrinking map is battle royale?
>Poor people
Not much reason to keep supporting native games on Xbox One when those people can be pushed to subscribe to Game Pass and *stream* better versions of those games from Xbox Cloud instead.
Most people's internet is now fast enough for it
You forgot the important part
>US
which means consoles only
After so many disapointments with 343, I simply don't allow myself to feel any hype, but I admit that me and my bros daydreamed about a big game mode where 100 players battled each other back in 2011.
Im trying to temper the excitement my inner child is feeling.
We'll see.
>Source: some electronic celebrity
Just because devs prototype countless things does not mean its the final much like halo 3 having tilting in the alpha
>The campaign is Open World shit that prioritizes quantity over quality (and not that much since the world is still somewhat empty).
Why should anyone listen to a dinogay?
>too slow
Infinite was a step in the right direction but the damage was already done.
i'm guessing they mean the battle pass, skins, etc. seems like they put more effort into those than they do actually making a good mp game that can compete with the bigger ones.
cope the post
they said "ten year lifespan". they meant that they're dripfeeding one basic feature into the game each year.
Halo 5 was good
Its campaign has some severe issues but overall I agree.
Shame that it's now abandoned, it's the only Halo that will never get a proper PC release, and they won't even give it a 120fps update for the newer consoles
343 wasn't full of diversity hires back then
>It had the right core foundation
Fricking have a nice day. I am sick to death of this fricking meme. I want to fricking kill everyone that says this stupid fricking phrase
If the core gameplay is so good why did it lose most of it's playerbase? Shut the frick up. It's shit
Sprint, clamber and sliding break the game. The netcode is awful. The weapon sandbox is bad. The physics are near non existent. The maps are awful dogshit
It's going to be 60 real players at max. It is baffling if they can manage to pull it off since BTB with 24 players is already unrocky and unstable
>but I admit that me and my bros daydreamed about a big game mode where 100 players battled each other back in 2011.
Same anon. I really hope Tanaka is what we imagined
I remember that it was pretty meh outside of the John and Weapon relationship.
Weapon was fricking annoying. Her "quirky" personality and over the top facial expressions only appeals to Gankermblrite manbabies.
Found the troon, I bet you liked 343's version of Cortana from Halo 4 and 5.
Ganker is the second most troony infested board on 4chins dumdumb. Halo 4 and 5 being shit doesn't mean infinite was good you mongoloid.
What are the first and third? Where does Ganker sit?
/lgbt/ first obviously, Ganker probably third.
>Ganker third
Jesus Christ, this place is beyond help. Understandable why Halo threads became so shit when the lgbtq+ from reddit are shitting up this place. Damn, we really need to deal with the lgbtq+ here in the US, it's a shame that we can only fix the problem in the US, hope other countries in the west can start doing the same eventually.
Reddit website sweetheart
Four was good you fetus.
There was nothing wrong with 4's Cortana

Hi troony, glad your Reclaimer Saga is dead.
First time I've agreed with a ukraine flag lmao
Of course, you do, troony. Nothing happened in Halo 5 and if you skipped it, you would miss nothing. Master Chief could go and take a morning shit and Halo 5 would still happen without him or anyone there, that's how pointless Halo 5 was.
>I got filter
>filtered
You literally do nothing in that game.
Halo 5 had a shitty plot and you have plebeian tastes.
The campaign's main issues were the moronic squad AI and the repetitive Warden fights. The story was fine, not amazing, but good enough that I'd have preferred to see a direct followup to it in the next game, rather than a time jump and soft reboot so that it barely mattered
>Grand and bold
>Literally reuses the abandoned plot idea "Cortana goes evil" that Bungie junked because even they thought it was too moronic
lol
Idea of an AI deciding it needs to assert control for our own good is a compelling one, there's a reason it's happened in other scifi many times. From her perspective she's not turning evil, she's taking responsibility.
Lad is correct though
>file name
Frick off I know its you
>if you dont like the down syndrome mass effect andromeda tier cortana then you're a troon
have a nice day.

jesus frick. Is it a requirement by the left to make all women a goblins or something??
Absolutely disgusting
>still doesn't detect my gpu
poggers
The hard truth is that Halo is too outdated for zoomers
call of duty wiped it's ass with halo 3 overnight and it never recovered. even reach had half of 3's pop when blops released. idk what it was about cod cause i didn't play that much past 3 but it fricking murdered halo and it's funny lol
historical revisionism.
reach had less players than mw2 AND halo 3 when black ops released. halo 3's player base suffered from cod4 and mw2 but it was still the 2nd most popular game on xbox live until reach. when black ops released, reach had max 150k on a weekend while halo 3 still had twice that and very rarely dipped below 300k. you are either irrational or have poor memory
>reach had max 150k on a weekend while halo 3 still had twice that and very rarely dipped below 300k.
Completely wrong.
what do you think it was? throw out a number, let's see.
you were talking about halo 3, not reach.
No. That happened to Reach when Black Ops came out.
>Reach was just a heavily flawed game
That's weird everyone I played halo 3 with loved Reach, me included.
Halo 4 was the final nail in the coffin.
>antibloomgays
Do people not understand pacing? Like goddamn
It introduced luck to the game, that's why it killed the competitive scene. It was completely random after the first shot. You could be at equal skill with the enemy and lose not because you didn't pace your shots but because he got a better roll.
I don't care about the competitive scene, zoomer.
moron.
>He doesn't remember the halo 2 tournaments they broadcast on television
>He doesn't remember how big of a deal halo 3 MLG tournaments were relative to the competitive game scene as a whole at the time
>He denies that every popular multiplayer FPS lives or dies by it's comp scene today
>'I don't care about it so there's no way halo's decline started when the competitive players fled ship to call of duty because of bloom'
people get pacing your shots, they just don't get how pacing your shots was supposed to help or even fit into halo's existing gameplay
>which was over a million for a long time
never actually happened. it was common for the pop count would bug out and show inaccurate numbers. here's another example. halo capped at like 1.1m players on launch week or something like that but it didn't stay that way for long.
Maybe it was just me but playing one made you worse at the other. Like if I spent a lot of time playing cod4 it felt uncomfortable getting back into halo 3. modern warfare was also new shit that took risks and halo 3 played like halo always did, which is fine if you want halo but it wasn't the hot new.
>m-muh cod made halo irrelevant
easiest way to detect a 343 Black person shill.
Halo stopped being relevant because 343 is utterly fricking incompetent.
>putting Reach in the same category as 3
Shut up, Reach sold like shit and was the first Halo game to have a drop in players while never being the number 1 most played games, 343's shit just made the sinking ship worse.
Why do you guys like to lie? You know a Google search just proves you wrong immediately right? Stupid trannies
I concede my argument.
>three million in its first month in the US
This means jackshit when it couldn't even maintain those sales, it died down fast and couldn't even reach 5 million sales here in the US, its global sales are lower than Halo 2, 3, and 343's crap.
It sold 7 million in the USA, like I said I can just Google it.
I don't get what you're trying to accomplish here.
It sold 4.7 million in the US, VGtard.
https://web.archive.org/web/20111202195603/http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/38447/Black_Ops_Leads_20102011_US_Sales_With_15M_Units.php
Yeah, after that date it sold more copies. Hard to believe I know!
Nope, by Halo 4 year release, Microsoft reported that the game only sold 7 million worldwide and a year before that, 2011 they stated their disappointment in it and ODST and by 2017 would mention Halo 1, 2, 3, and 4's , sales in regards to how well Halo 5 sold meanwhile Reach is left out.
This website is unsourced and it got its information from VGChartz. The website is also wrong due to Microsoft reporting that Halo 3 had already sold over 14 million copies back in 2012 and this is in 2015.
>vgchartz
moron
>trust my ass instead bro
funny because even my ass would be a better source than vgchartz
Yeah, you would think that. That's why I dismissed your opinion lol.
Im not even that anon, you are just a moron. lol
I know you weren't that anon, dumbass.
>I-I knew all along says the dumb homosexual unironically using vgchartz
You're dumb mate, my ass said so.
wow your sources got better
Glad you agree you're dumb.
glad you agree vgchartz is worse than your ass
I'm fine with that, dummy.
Im fine with that too ass whisperer
>The game, right after the launch of the console, ending a triology that fricking revolutionized gaming and made online on consoles a thing
VS
>A prequel with completely different characters, not just another numered sequel so showing off after a spin off, after the balsy move of doing yet ANOTHER attempt at popularizing a PC only genre brought into console (Wars) and an expansion pack in 2009 (ODST) that normalgays would get pissed for, not understanding what a spin off even is
>14m vs 10m
Compare this to every subsequent 343 game
>Halo 4 fricked up the artstyle and story, less gamemodes, no good forge maps at launch, and downgraded options for custom gamemodes, as well as a tiny selection of games for MM
>Halo 5 launched with NO FRICKING CO-OP NOR FORGE, took about 5 months to even get on par with older games because they cattered to comp Black folk
>Halo Infinite, with 0 content 9 months later
I like 3's artstyle, campaign settings, and OST more than reach's, but both were bomb ass games. so fricking fun and emotionally compelling.
halo ended with reach for me, I can't bear to look at 4 because of the shit artstyle.
Excellent post
This, all this homosexual doomerposters saying it was irrelevant the day COD4 released have started to pop out very recently. Almost seems like its coordinated, like 343 shills are in these threads.
You are a dumb Black person, the blackest moron gorilla Black person I have ever seen.
https://www.trustedreviews.com/news/halo-franchise-sales-hit-65-million-units-2925202
This fricking outdated report LITERALLY shows Reach being the second best selling Halo game. Stop being such a homosexual.
>FPS games now all need to have shitty discount MOBA characters with abilities and ultimates and RPG inventory management instead of just running fast, not exposing yourself and shooting accurately
damn kids...
Post greasy face.
Complete bullshit. Look at Doom, that game was even more of a boomer series and zoomers love it now
Geez mister, maybe it's because the gameplay is completely different to the old Doom games, moron.
and whats stopping Halo from doing the same moron
Vehicles need to be a lot more durable. Like more than twice as much, even three times as much for some like the Banshee.
I'm a zoomer and I grew up on Halo; it's sad as shit to see what's happened to it
Halo was ALWAYS BORING SHIT FOR CHILDREN
old gays of Ganker would literally spit on you fricking homosexuals and would laugh in your face for seriously thinking its a good FPS. you didnt 'grow up', nothing got ruined, the series was always boring mediocre trash. you only liked it because you were 8 years old, it is literally the fortnite of the 6th and 7th gen.
source: the fact that everyone on Steam a decade later rushed to buy MCC, played a couple of hours, then dropped it like a rock once they realized how boring it was. fricking kek
>steam charts
yawn and ywnbaw
>Has got to be one of the worst bunglings or mismanagements in gaming history.
>It had the right core foundation to be a grand return to form for the Halo franchise; but it somehow didn't occur to them if it's missing too many of the expected features from past Halos, and the missing features and content aren't added quickly, the players aren't gonna stick around.
>Back in 2015 there was a huge uproar over Halo 5 missing Forge at launch, yet Forge was added just 2 months later lmao. Now I'm wishing we could have THAT 343 again

I'd rather not thank you. Halo ended after ODST.
Everyone at 343 sucks donkey dicks.
I like how this also over-estimated how smart and capable the Cortana assistant in Win10 would really be
Will we ever get to do naughty things with big AIs like this in the near future or will political correctness not allow it?
Most likely since it's clear as day that the Republicans are going to take over and we're going to have either Trump or DeSantis as a President.
you think the president has any bearing on societal norms like that? total moron
Yes, given how abortion got taken care of, gays are next on the list.
Okay troon go project yourself in the mirror
>wants gays to lose all of their rights
>okay troon
What?
Trumps only running if the other challengers pussy out and don't promise to investigate the use of the state to attack Trump. If he believed Desantis would go after that shit he'd stay seated.

What the hell is with the animation? Face capture was a mistake.
Better than this piece of shit.
Agreed, both suck ass
Somehow Infinite looks and plays better than that shit along with having better voice acting.
That's Jen Taylor hamming it up.
Animation you weren't supposed to see at close up you see at close up
Damn why does weapon have such a FAT ass?
Pretty much every lead designer has left the company since it released, it's been confirmed that a ton of the code was outsourced to literally indian pajeets doing spaghetti code.
A bunch of the new hires trying to fix the game are western diversity hires that have enforced mental health days and a focus of well being over making a good game.

Cutetana
She's adorable, I wanna pat her head and give her cookies.
you fricking homosexual pedos get the rope first
She's not even a child in the game, you dumb Black person, she's an AI developed from a brain scan of a mid 30s Katherine Halsey.
troony projection.

Why does she look less like a hologram than Cortana did in god damn halo 1
Graphics are declining

343 was a mistake and they all should burn in a pyre. The series ended with Reach
snoy thread
Yes, great campaign
how do the top people at 343 even have jobs still?
Try to talk like this, while doing the expressions. It's weird. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQGFpBRi9O4&ab_channel=OJCheese
only when somebody makes a thread about it. then I immediately forget it exists again. I like those times better.
I remembered it when I saw a post mentioning you could get a fried chicken nameplate if logging in, but then it turned out to be the Master Chief Collection.
Halo was never good. Ever.
Chief, you mind telling me what you're doing inside that woman?
>halotards draws a bunch of r34

Cortarda
I would have liked to play it but the game runs like absolute dogshit for no reason. It doesn't even look good.
>Perhaps the half assed were slapped together at the last minute
jfc i should stop posting while drunk
Holy shit, calm the frick down Neil DeGrasse Tyson.
you need a child's understanding of outer space to understand that the sun does not move counter to the rest of the stars.
All of this over just for something that is Science FICTION
I expect my games and films to have some level of consistency and quality to them. This is similar to that shit in Star wars episode 7 where everyone runs outside the orange b***h' bar and looks to the sky to see individual planets across the galaxy being destroyed. In real time. For some reason moronic ass film directors and game artists have no idea how our universe functions.
im any case, Halo infinite is universally reviled slop that stupid redditors don't even touch with a ten foot pole so you shouldn't disregard it's putrid shortcomings
>snoy wars
Yawn star trek is better grow up
It's a valid complaint, but still a relatively minor issue compared to how there's only 1 biome and no weather system.
I didn't ask you manbaby
Wait halo rings have rain did I experience a memory hole???
They have entire fully self-sustainable ecosystems with functional atmosphere on them. Every Halo ring has.
CE and 2 and 3 all had snow levels.
>Nobody asked but you're all going to read my autistic complaint about this piece of shit game

I just stopped into this thread to say I still play halo 3 mcc on sexbox weekly and it is fun.
That is all.
>Kill Cortana off in 4
>Bring Cortana back in 5 and turn her into a villain
>Kill Cortana offscreen in Infinite
>Replace her with an AI that looks exactly like her and is implied going to take on her name
I remember maybe three or four distinct moments from the campaign, it is easily my least favorite if you don't count the open world stuff which doesn't even take long but is extremely boring
i remember Halo
reach was a good finale for the franchise, good thing nobody ever desecrated its legacy
>reach
>not 3
Trying to fit in again.
Not him but reach was the best.
*at being shit
At being the shit*
Halo/Master Chief was right next to fricking Mario when it comes to iconic IPs. It's insane how fast they tore down the IP's status in less than 5 years

>Oh sweet nice Tchaikovsky you have there
>it'd be so cool if we added some skrillex though
skip to 4:15

>Phil Spencer allowed all this to happen to Halo
Does he hate it? Or does he not care about it?
I remember playing infinites campaign at launch, keeping myself in the dark about most stuff
I didn't enjoy it much until the music kicked in as the gabrakken was going to explode. The open world didn't seem to empty at first with that little segment you had at the beginning with that outpost you took over, the little room in the corner that had an invisible elite hiding within. Then that second level had beautiful forerunner architecture. I was honestly really excited for the whole game by then and having a blast and after that mission it just took a nosedive and the open world made me want to suicide.
What the frick 18 minutes for an omelet?
Well yeah, you need time to let the other ingredients to merge their flavors

Halo 5:
>It's Skynet!
Halo Infinite:
>It's the Banished!
halfway through the campaign:
>NO wait it's the Harbinger
at end of the campaign:
>NO wait it's the Endless
at post-credits scene:
>NO wait it's back to Atriox again
What the frick is going on?
Harbinger is just 1 boss fight, and the Endless is something that hasn't appeared in the game yet. It didn't really do any kind of switcheroo
>The Harbinger is not one of the Endless but another race/species that is allied with them trying to revive them.
wrong
https://www.halopedia.org/The_Harbinger
https://www.halopedia.org/Xalanyn
>final mission description calls Harbinger an Endless and calls the Endless her species

3 is the best, but reach was a good send-off
not amazing, but good, way better than any of the garbage 343 has put out over the years
meant for
Can we agree the Warden Eternal was pretty cool? Regardless of how you felt about halo 5 (I thought it sucked) I did really enjoy Warden Eternal.
No, he was stupid and his repeated boss fight was shit.
I didn't even know it released.
Yea I still play it every now and then. It's fun for an hour or two but then the glaring issues start becoming too noticeable. But still, 1-2 hours of fun every couple of days is not so bad.
is it just the minority (me included) that feels like infinite is a complete joke and a failure? like, is it doing well enough financially that it actually has the longevity that they planned for it? because I feel like even in the mainstream it's not regarded very well and seems like it has bled a lot of players
remember that time when halogays thought Infinite would be saved by the Campaign?
nobody gave a shit day one
Everyone gave a shit day one
according to the xbox achievements, no
Well the campaign isn't f2p, dumb dumb. Don't @ me again
aaaand the same goalpost maneuver has been posted. Good job. I'm sure this won't be repeated in the future in the next infinite hate thread
>replies anyway
>as expected, nothing of value was said
I saw that coming
Didn't ask.
Ok troon
They did and it did, troony
Manolo is here.
Someone post screencaps of him sperging in /hg/.
I liked halo infinite's campaign
may your bloodline cease
Dumbass
Mad because moronic
to me it's a stretch even that sort of aimless open world formula a "campaign" at all, I respect a few of the actual levels it had and wish they had not gone the open world route. or at least if they had, that the open world would have been more like big, interconnected levels instead of big, interconnected floating wastes of space
Awful opinion. I bet you liked halo 4 and 5 more.
All 3 are stinky poo poo, you doo doo muncher
no, I did not really like either of them. it may be time to realize you just aren't in good company by liking infinite, it's basically just all the trash trending in games and none of what made the fps formula of the original trilogy successful
>aren't in good company
Maybe among morons who just hate open world games because it's the hot new thing to hate on right now among hipster b***hes who can't form their own opinions.
it's not bad merely because it's open world. it's bad because it's a bad open world. and it's open world because 1) open world is hip and 2) bad open world is easier than actually designing a game
the fact that infinite is a laughingstock despite carrying the halo brand name should tell you a lot
Yeah and I will die in this hill.
Not him but I hope you die fast.
An Ancient Evil Awakens...
One of my all time favorite /hg/ moments was when a newcomer anon asked
>what's the association between The Endless and Anomalocaris?
and the schizo replied with
>I want to snap your neck
halo is such a tired franchise, they should seriously let it die already
They should just make a game where you play a female elite in liquid spandex. Complete with ass jiggle physics whenever you pull the trigger
don't ever reply to me again
It's over.
SNIBETI SNAB :DDD
The Endless is just black people.
Did they ever fix the campaign performance on pc?
nah, not really. still trying to understand everything that's come before.
spent too much money as a hardworking college student with a job, on games that were never complete, that were more about purchases in-game than the game itself.
haven't gotten around to playing it yet. sure as hell don't want to be associated with the 'broader audience' that company has mentioned. the broader audience doesn't play Halo, and from what i've seen in the news, they don't even know what the purpose of a government is. so i doubt they'll have any interest in the inner political play of Halo. like i said, don't wanna be a part of that.

I liked Infinite, but god damn it needs more fricking content. I have every achievement in the game except for one, Complete the Battlepass, and I don't think I will any time soon since I feel like I've already experienced everything the game has to offer. Right now I'm just waiting for Forge to come out.
Why was she incapable of closing her mouth?
Ask Jen?
>The Reclaimer Trilogy turned Saga turned Duology
Honest to god is there anything funnier?
I couldn't stop laughing, they literally killed everything from that Saga, trilogy, or whatever.
>t. snoys
>you're a Snoy if you like Halo 1-3 and Infinite's campaign
>you're not a Snoy if you like the trash that was Halo 4 and 5
I dont play any Halo until someone confirm that John Halo ends up married to Cortana at the end. My life isn't happy so i deman happy ending in my fictional settings.
Go frick off and watch the crappy TV series if you want something stupid like that.
You don't want him to have a nuclear family with Cortana?
Nope, that melodrama shit is dead for a reason.
>John is mortally wounded
>Gets uploaded as some kind of battle control AI
>"""Marries""" Cortana
<3
that happened in the tv show, not the game, right?
well in the tv show he does ends up dying and Cortana control his body by controlling his armor
>10 year plan
>On life support year one
Lol, it's destiny all over again
F I V E
Hundred

Dollars
Out of all the horseshit this is the most fakest one.
>Covenant religion states that the Forerunners activated Halo and went on the Great Journey, transcending this reality and becoming Gods
>those that are left behind on this journey are labeled heretics and demons, unworthy of divinity
>Covies find the Didact, who is a Forerunner that got left behind on the Great Journey
>they start worshiping him
I never really got this. This is like an anti-Christ showing up and devout Christians going "meh, it's a type of Christ I guess, let's worship him". I feel like the writers just stopped at "The Covenant worship the Forerunners" without knowing why.
Well what if they assumed he came back like Christ?
I mean he has force powers and shit but the guy got killed by a grenade I've seen the little robot dogs tank. Plus they'd grill him over what the Great Journey is like and what it's like to be a God.
343 fricks up the lore, what else is new?
Just ignore Halo 4 and 5 like 343 did, you won't miss anything if you do.
So is halo 4 and 5 no longer canon anymore? Or is 343 choosing some parts within those games to be still canon?
They're like canon events, Halo 4 more so than 5, 5 for the most part is so unimportant that it's treated like an unimportant filler. Halo 4 at least had some game changing stuff happen that still to this day effects the future of the series with elements from its story still returning regarding the Forerunners and humanity as Reclaimers along with the Master Chief. Halo 5 is just straight up pointless and adds nothing new instead holds the series back with no revelations.
morons
HOLY COPE
Everything from Halo 4 and 5 got offscreened.
>christcuck analogy
HOWLING
Dumbass
the didact's existence proves that forerunners are indeed gods and you can achieve godhood with their magic. halo 4 was fricking moronic
Halo 4 had so many problems, bringing back the Covenant was only one of them.
Most Forerunner tech is more impressive than anything the Didact does and the Covenant believed they made that shit when they were mortal.
Big whoop he has force lift, fricking Tartarus could manipulate gravity with a big hammer and that dude doesn't wear pants.
he was chained for millions if not billions of years and woke up like it was nothing, then went on to use the force and awaken his undead army to blow up earth. that was some marvel shit
He even gives a shitty monologue talking Chief to death in his introduction. Raven Beak is Didact done right.
Atriox would beat Tartarus' ass and he doesn't even manipulate gravity.
The Covies don't start worshiping Didact instantly, they are fighting his Promethean forces up until he waves his hand and casts a spell on them -____-
She's so hot bros
Did they add spartan butts back in yet?
They gave cortana shoes.
Thats a crime that cannot be forgiven
Looks like someone had a Sydnee Goodman fetish at 343
QT
Why would an AI hologram need to wear a diaper?
GO!
A.I OFF!
GO! DISAPPEAR!
They haven't invested in new franchises and now all they can do is buy studios hoping any of them can give a face to xbox, but they won't.
>drive by Snoy post
Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is the face of Xbox Series X, and has been since the console was first announced
Is it wrong that I only care about what's happening next on the next campaign over this boring looking movie shit?
*Halo
Its funny how Ganker was shit posting at full force when halo lunched, but now no one plays that… yep Ganker it’s full of marketing managers
You just not realizing that?
>Ganker is just a single person
prescriptions
i never played it, what happened to it
>Ganker says it forgot halo infinite
>page one
>300 hundred replies and more
wow
its funny how theres nothing but complaints and criticisms of the gme and people mocking it and 343, but then those same people still its a good game when asked.
uh no its a frickIng trash game. hardcore halo fans who even stomached 4 and 5 to the end credits dropped this game before the halfway point its so bad.
its stockholm basically every fanbase
also garbage post
>also garbage post
yours is
This isn't true
Yes it is.
Many liked Infinite's campaign, main complaints come from multiplayer.
Literally /hg/ versus snoys
that adorable goblina
OPI gang is in.
I remember enjoying it for a few hours then dropping it because it was super repetitive open world garbage.
I love halo infinite
I know they bought like half the western industry in the last two years to offset this, but why would you make a studio to work on one IP only, an IP that studio did not even create? 343, Coalition...
i nagged my mom for weeks about getting halo 3 as soon as it came out and she drove across town during her break at work to get it just as it hit shelves, then years later i waited outside the same store early in the morning skipping school in the process to get reach and both times i played those games for months and have many fond memories of them
i have such a deep seated hatred for 343 i would personally beat each developer within an inch of their life if i could, but these days when i see what became of MCC im mostly just sad
just gotta accept that halo ended with reach, my duude. Let it have a happy ending for yourself. Frick 343 ignore em
>with Reach
with 3
>Frick 343 ignore em
>posts one of their shitty books
The only worthwhile supplementary shit from Halo are the comics and graphic novels, the books always sucked.
i liked the books
>main halo games being made after 3
Why? Just make spinoffs and a free, always updated Halo Online game or something.
>"You got family out there big guy?"
>"No."
>"Then why do you do this?"
>"It's all I know."
