Do you guys only play one game? I got a lot of stuff to do like level up my crafters and make gear for my gathers, also do my crafter and gathers relics. I could easily ride me over until next expansion
I genuinely do not understand how people can do crafter/gather shit. It all feels like a complete waste of time because of the non-existent progression in this game. Seriously, how do people do that shit when you can just do dailies and get tomestone gear that is cheaper and better?
Crafting used to mater, Ishgard Restoration fricked it up by turning everyone into an omnicrafter. It's still important because of foods, pots, crafted gear for week 1, but before there was more emphasis on old crafted gear, weapons, and glamour
I wish it was even easier since I don't have millions of gil to blow cutting corners buying crafting sets every 10 levels off the market. For anyone not raiding it's a glorified glamour maker.

Entirety of story mode aside from Trials (8 man boss fights) and raids (24 man) is soloable due to AI partners via Duty Support and Trusts. Normal mode difficulty Trials are one and done affairs so just queuing up and not talking to people is the norm as it's not like you are going to see them again anyway most likely.

You can glamour onto higher item level, but not vice-versa. You hsould be able to wear the left with the right glamoured on it.
The only restrictions on glamours is no casting them on lower level gear, and they won't show up when you glamour something job exclusive and it's equipped to not that job (IE caster gear with a black mage exclusive gear glamoured over it will have its default appearance on Summoner or red mage)
At this point crafter/gatherer equips don't matter past 50 as you can just use tomestone/script gear every 10 levels afterward so just glam whatever you like, especially if you're using the Firmament to zoom ahead in levels fast. Hell if you're really dedicated to getting to 80 fast as a gatherer you don't even need to go past level 20 or so equipment as you can simply drive yourself insane in the Diadem for 60 levels.

Just beat Endwalker yesterday. Fricking amazing game. This is after two separate several-month-long breaks, one not too long after starting Heavensward and another shortly after beating Shadowbringers.

I only saw it happen the very first time I fought him during HW's release as it didn't take long for players gear to enable them to easily blitz through where he doesn't get to do that part.

Wait 1 minute until you're at level 53 and get a jacket that's higher level
when it comes to crafting and gathering stuff, gear that have no materia slots ALWAYS have better stats.
BUT gear with materia slots can have HIGHER stats by pentamelding
and the higher lvl is also lower ilvl
you really should not worry about this until max lvl, u gonna swap gear in a few minutes anyway
You can glamour onto higher item level, but not vice-versa. You hsould be able to wear the left with the right glamoured on it.
The only restrictions on glamours is no casting them on lower level gear, and they won't show up when you glamour something job exclusive and it's equipped to not that job (IE caster gear with a black mage exclusive gear glamoured over it will have its default appearance on Summoner or red mage)
At this point crafter/gatherer equips don't matter past 50 as you can just use tomestone/script gear every 10 levels afterward so just glam whatever you like, especially if you're using the Firmament to zoom ahead in levels fast. Hell if you're really dedicated to getting to 80 fast as a gatherer you don't even need to go past level 20 or so equipment as you can simply drive yourself insane in the Diadem for 60 levels.
